very clear. gives wonderful examples that relate to real life that make his teaching fun and easier to understand. very helpful which makes the class alot easier. teacher strongly recommended.

This teacher is the best! I'm recommending all my friends to him. He teaches so well that you know what to expect on tests, and you actually are being taught stuff. He is very patient and doesnt go too fast or too slow at all. I wish he could be my math teacher forever. Hes the best!

The best math teacher ever! I used to HATE math before taking his classes. He is very helpful. He doesn't give that much hw. His test pretty easy, he is very clear on what will be on them. He's so funny and is able to make a subject as dull as math very fun. You will LOVE math after taking his class

Mr. Crew is a really cool teacher, he's very interesting and helpful. He'll answer questions in class and his tests aren't that hard. I have a 2hr and 15 min class with him and with anyone else I think I'd be pulling my hair out by the first hour, but he makes it interesting & at the least tolerable

without him, i would of never passe'd 65 good guy he rocks take him.

He is by far, the best math teacher I have ever had. The classes were actually worth going to and did not bore me within the first half an hour. I would take every math class with him, if possible. He makes math fun and understandable.

Worderful Teacher and man. Very easy to talk to about the material. Open to accepting question at any time. If you want to pass a class and really enjoy it, take his course.

Mr Crew is definitely one of the best math teachers i've ever had. very detailed and makes sure u kno exactly wut to study for on the tests. no bs, no trick questions, just knowledge.

Great instructor. Helpful, when you ask for it. Exams are a reflection of the homework assignments assigned in class. Homework is optional, but helpful in terms of extra credit.

Math is very difficult for me and I passes his class with a high B. He makes it fun and easy to learn.

Another great math teacher at chabot. I mean he kept the class so interesting and if you dont understand something he'll explain it until you do. Most of the exams came from the homework and he breaks down each problem so you understand it.

I wish he'd teach the higher math classes too since I have to take like MATH 1million. His lectures/notes are very clear and well organized. He's very considerate when it comes to the class/grades. A LOTTA XTRA CRED! I got like 99% in his class.

Daryl Crew deserves an apple award. He lectures well, & he answers all your questions without making you feel inferior. Those needing extra help are given it. Also, he's generous with time granted on exams and with extra credit if you need it. Furthermore, his pretest reviews match the type of problems on his exams, & their difficulty level.

He is very good at helping you with any questions and homework. He will never miss a class or let you leave early but he is the best at letting you pass the class even if you get C or D's he will let you pass.

Great teacher. THE best math teacher I've ever had. Very patient, and always takes his time to explain even if its just 1 person who doesnt understand. HIGHLY recommned. He's not too bad to look at either.

One of the best teachers I ever had. He is patient and very kind. He is so thorogh and willing to help. There were a couple of times I got perfect scores on his tests. He has very good notes, but goes through several sections a day, so make sure you are there everyday. I can't say enough good things about him!

Crew explains material in a manner which is easy to follow. If you have a hard time in Math, Crew is the teacher to show you the way.

Professor Crew is extremely bright and very knowledgeable. I have seen his style change from a chug & plug approach to Calculus to an applied approach using multiple media to explain problems and their importance. He is a wonderful teacher and I highly recommend him. Do the homework right away and you'll get the most out of his class.

You'll get excellent quality teaching from Mr.Crew. Math 37 is a pretty hard course, but taking it with him REALLY helps. He is very patient when you need to ask questions (he doesn't make you feel unconfident or blasts you out) Be warned though.. Gives literally no E.C. & grades fairly strict. Don't slack off, and make sure you study!!!!

Nobody makes math class easier than him. His quizzes are straight from HW, tells you exactly what will be on exams & quizzes. Like others have said, he is really willing to help you without putting you down. Highly recommended!

It was my fault that I didn't pass the class, I didn't have the time to study or do the homework. He's really helpful and knows his stuff. He's alittle over-interested in math. His test was so hard that he had to take a question off because no one got it right, but other than that he's a pretty cool guy that will help you as much as you need.

Excellent teacher. He explains Math so you can understand it. Some homework but not to bad.

Mr. Crew is one of the best math instructors I've had. He's very enthusiastic and organized, you'll know what you're learning each day, when you get your test back, etc. Homework is extra credit, and you'll never get out of class early but you'll do well if you go to class everyday.

He is really kind and fair man. Funny and remarkable. Just take his class and you will know...

HE IS THE BEST TEACHER I'VE EVER HAD!!!! This is my third class with him. He's very kick back, totally understanding, funny, and makes make very easy...I hated math all my life until I took him!!!!!! You won't regret taking him!!! If you can't pass with him, then you're just LaZy!!!

great teacher. goes through the material at a decent pace. if you haven't taken a math class in a long time, don't worry he explains things as he goes. tests are based on the extra credit homework. not mandatory to go to class but highly recommended or else you might be lost.

Teacher's like him are worth going to school for. He makes everything so clear and he really cares about teaching in the most effective and understandable manner to the student. He has good office hours and never makes you feel dumb for going to him for help. I suck at math but got a C in his business calculus class! that is gold to me! lol.

crew is a solid math teacher and has a very relaxed class structure. grade is based solely on tests, but they are fair and allows you to drop one. attendance isnt mandatory as long as you take the tests.

Crew is very helpful. Homework and quizzes are done through MATHXL (online). His finals (4) are done in class and are a big % of your grade. I had a hard time keeping up..and failed. Tutors at Chabot don't know much about Math 54.

He is an alright teacher. He doesn't take attendance, nor does he collect homework. He explains somethings clear and other things not so clear. If you are good at math go for it.

Mr. Crew is a great teacher! He is very clear in his lectures and is open to questions. He doesn't make you feel stupid and is always there to help. Gives out homework problems but are not mandatory. He doesn't do attendance, so it is really up to you whether you pass or fail. I highly recommend him!

Crew is THE MAN. I had not done any Math in at least 2 years and jumped right into Pre-Calc. I was full of questions but he helped me through all of it. He gives simple quizzes weekly and lets you drop one of the exams. He's easy going, helpful and explains things clearly by solving problems in class. He's a great instructor to learn from!!

One of the best math teachers hands down. Math is a hard subject but he takes time to go over some background on the matter before he goes deep into the subject do you don't feel so lost. Had him for math 37 and math 20. Trying to persuade him to teach math 1 next semester.

Believe all of the positive reviews, and-then-SOME! Crew is a good man, and an excellent instructor. He brings a relaxed, confident, and friendly disposition to class; explains the subject matter very, very well; and is approachable for extra help. Follow the HW guidelines and you will do well…more improbably, you WILL learn! Crew is top-notch!

Best math teacher I've had in my life, and I've taken a lot of math. Explains everything thoroughly and connects everything to basic ideas. Doesn't just make you memorize a formula, but shows you where that formula comes from and why it works. Makes it feel easy. Very friendly and open to questions. Always willing to help.

I took Math 15&16 w/Mr.C. He is one of the best teachers I have encountered in my lifetime. Material is difficult, but Mr.C made it easy to understand for his students. Do the hw. Practice the study guide for the test twice (tests are based on the study guide and his lectures). He is easy to talk to and always willing to help.

Applied Calculus is HARD. Mr. Crew does everything in his power to help the course go well. He tries to fit everything including prerequisite math we may have forgotten into the small time frame. Some classmates felt that the course should be 4 units too. The study guides must be completed and gone over multiple times! Crew is helpful and clear!

Solid instructor that tries to make Calculus as pragmatic as possible. Doesn't focus on proofs, but still provides them as course goes along. Tests are pretty straightforwardly based on problems he focuses on during class.

Daryl Crew is a breath of fresh air after many bad experiences with math teachers! He knows how to make math easy to digest and remembers what it's like to be a student! One of the best teachers at Chabot!

This teacher is explaining everything thoroughly. His classes are well structured and clear. He answers questions and help a lot with homework, if you don't understand an exercise he either do it with all the class if many are having trouble or on one on one. We have a test every 3 weeks and can drop the lowest score same for the homework.

He is a really great teacher, has good office hours so you can ask for help if needed. He doesn't give out too much math homework which is great for people with a busy schedule. His grading criteria is clear and to the point, and he's really easy on the eyes. Does he work out? Obviously!!

I pray he teaches Calc 3. Crew is very clear and lets you know exactly what you'll be facing on your tests. Do your study guides and you will be fine for any exam he throws your way. I aced all midterms (5) except one where I got a B. He will make sure that you understand the concepts if you just ask him for help. Extremely approachable and funny!

Amazing lectures and very helpful, he explains over and over again till you understand which shouldn't take many tries because his explanation is very clear and to the point. Tests are straight forward, no surprises. Study and you'll pass. If you ace all 4 tests, he might give you an option of not taking the final.

Professor Crew is a really good teacher and is in the math lab almost every day if you need help. I recommend going over the book before attending his lectures. Expect to take a lot of notes in the class. Before every test, he goes over what's going to be on the test so you know exactly what to study for.

Mr. Crew's teaching style is very easy to flow with. His notes are thorough and he's also super organized and grades quickly. He somehow manages to simplify math in a way that even those who struggle in it have a chance to improve. His tests are doable as long as you review. Make sure to keep up with the practice and you'll likely be fine.

Mr. Crew is a regular human being teaching as a math teacher, making him very easy to listen to during class. Straight forward tests, does not over work students, and explains things well. Offers a lot of additional times outside of class to receive help, if needed.

He's an angel. Do the homework, study guides, AND THE PRACTICE PROBLEMS, and you're on your way to an A! Again, this man is an angel. An angel of Mathematics, with a Computer Science background.

The essence of Professor Crew is what it means to be an educator. He is an exceptional lecturer, and his teaching methods do not follow any standards I have yet observed from a college professor. He is one of a kind! If you attend class, truly apply yourself, and remain engaged with the material you will do well in his course, but you will work.

Daryl Crew is one the best and most helpful math teachers I ever had. He's very engaging and as long as you do the study guides and the practice problems, you'll be ready for his tests that are very straight forward with no big surprises. Amazing teacher. As any math class you have to put some work to get an A. Mrs. Crew is very approachable, caring and loves math. The notes on the board are very clear and organized. Loves his students and will help you if you're struggling. I wish he spent more time on explaining concepts and less doing the problems and gave more time on tests.

Mr. Crew is a great math educator. He is very patient whenever a student ask a question during and/or after class. Just like any class, if you do your homework and prepare for the test; you will pass. If you struggle with math, I do not recommend taking him over the summer; unless you are willing to work for it.

Mr. Crew goes out of his way to help students who need more assistance. He is very clear and to the point.

Great instructor. His class is not an easy A, but if you show up to every class and practice as much as possible you can get an A/B. It seems like about half the class is on the verge of failing, but I would imagine thats due to lack of studying. Exams are difficult bc he lectures the first half of class on new material, and no calculators!

Professor Crew is the best teacher I've ever had. The problems that he does are very clear and if some questions are asked, he answers them very clearly. He throws some jokes here and there and brightens the whole mood of our classroom. Proud to say that I'm taking him again for Calculus 2!

He gave us until midnight to take test, so from 3pm-12am. His lectures are mostly practice problems and he does some of the homework in class for those problems. He has office hours every class day which are very helpful and his tests aren't bad.

Mr. Crew is truly a math angel! He gives great notes w/examples that resemble the Hw. He's also available outside of class to help with anything that you didnt understand in class. He's also hilarious and says funny thing like: "An improper integral is an integral that shows up to dinner without washing their hands" haha absolutely love the guy!

Professor Crew is a great math lecturer at Chabot. Calculus 3 should not be easy, but he provided various examples in lecture to help me understand these hard concepts. Doing homework is optional because his class in 100% based on 8 exams. Professor Crew does not care students' attendance, but attending the class helps students do well on exams.

Professor Crew is one of the best math professors that I've ever taken. His lectures were a bit lengthy but worth it. We had no homework to complete as our entire grade is reflected on 8 exams so you would have an exam almost every 2 weeks. If you work hard you will succeed in the class.

I have had Mr. Crew for both Cal 1 and Cal 2. He has made my math series less of a chore and more of an enjoyable class. He is a gem! Clear lectures and your grade is based off of 8 exams. Homework really helps understand concepts but is optional. Great professor! Props to him for teaching a difficult class over the summer.
