Quite a bit of personality. Is willing to explain concepts in a clear, simple and understandable manner rather than sabotaging us non-science majors. He's funny as hell too.

This guy is hilarious and EXTREMELY helpful! I don't know how many times this term he's stopped whatever he's doing in his office to help me with a lab question. And I love the music at the beginning of class and the whole "blah blah blah" thing

He's an ok guy, but I think he tries too hard to be cool. He is interesting though and he keeps me interested which is always a plus.
So he's funny and all...but come on, when the average of the exam has been below 55 or whatever you said fo so long, why not make it a little easier eh?!?! Only a suggestion but im sure it will never happen! Needless to say he's a pretty cool tea

Oh how I love thee, let me count the ways....DARYL YOU ROCK. I love the music, the pet pictures, your expressions, interesting annecdotes, your obsession with cows (I feel the same way dude), that sand thing on Monday was pretty fun. LOVE THIS CLASS!

this is an awesome prof. very clear puts things int terms that we can understand. Honest and fair. More than willing to help us if we need it. loves what he does!!

I hate this man. Blah blah blah blah is not helpful to me (this is literally what he says). I expect when someone says you won't need this for the exam that it will not be on the exam, but 50% of the exam was material he said we did not need to know. I quit geography because of this man. anyone who rated him as hot hasn't seen him up close.
Dagesse tells it like it is. I find him rather amusing and if you actually do the work, it's so easy to get a good grade. Labs are a breeze but Dave is a pain in the rear. Great class, wish I would have taken it before 4th year, oh well!! Love the music before class and the sarcasm throughout lectures!
I'm failing due to my own laziness! But Daryl is a fine prof. His sarcastic and crappy jokes keep me awake during early classes. Dave isn't that bad of a T.A. He talks a little slow, but other wise knows what he is talking about!
Darryl is great, by far my favourite first year class was with him. He challenges students and does not belittle them (unless you are an idiot). Teaches subjects in a way that you will remember for a long time to come when your not even expecting it. Excellent prof and teaching style!

This is the Prof that says to the class "if you **** with me, I'll **** with you and half of you will fail"...just before the mid-term. Not the best learing environment!
I sought help from this professor and recieved a shrug and 'I don't know' as an answer. I've never met a more apathetic professor in my life. I've also never failed a class before. Thanks for nothing buddy.

I LOVE DARYL! One of the best professors I have ever had. Thanks to him I became so passionate about geography that I dropped out of Con-ed to learn more. His class is not easy, but what do you expect this is university. At times it may be dry, but EVERY subject can be. He's fun and best of all he swears and makes jokes and plays music before class
I have a geo major now and have had this guy a bunch. I have gotten great grades with him but it was not thanks to him, it was from the authors of the books i used. Worst prof i have had.. very self indulged and self absorbed. I feel he totally picks favourites.. especially good looking gals... personal observation.
TERRRRRRRIBLE PROF!gave me the worst experience of my life. dropped the course because he was so useless. his instructions were never clear and his lectures were spent talking about beer and his stupid dog.
Worst class ever. Reviews are not helpful and he does not seem interested in the material and it seemed like he did not care about the majority of the class. He played favourites.

I had him for physical geography and by far the worst prof. His lectures are stupid and pointless to go to. Doesn't not explain anything well. He jumps from different chapters constantly and is very unorganized. Did not enjoy this class in the slightest. I would not bother taking this course, it will bore you to tears.

Loved his half of this course! He explained things so clearly and made things make sense! He's a funny and enjoyable prof - and he's great about responding to emails and helping when you need it.

Daryl is jokes! He is super funny but he jumps around a lot, and although his examples are really funny and often about sex and beer, they don't necessarily explain the actual course content.
He did not teach me anything. Everything I know is from the textbook. Brutal.
His lectures can be really boring and repetitive.
He is a very funny professor but he doesn't post anything online, his lectures are VERY scattered and the labs make absolutely no sense. If you are thinking about taking physical geography, try taking accounting. It will be way easier than this course
This is the worst professor at Brock University. He is inappropriate during lecture and acts as if he has no knowledge whatsoever about the course. He is very unfair about grading as well, DO NOT take this class.
Daryl is amazing. He is honestly so funny. He get's low ratings because a bunch of first years are taking this course as a mandatory science credit. If you are interested in the subject, you will love him. He relates everything to beer.
I got to know Daryl over my 4 years at Brock. If you care about the material he is more than willing to chat with you over any topic. He's friendly, but if you have no respect for the material he will have no respect for you.
What a great guy. He wants you to do great, go talk to him when you need help and he will clarify anything you need. I recommend his upper year classes, he is a great guy.
