As long as you participate, complete the assignments, and comprehend the material then you are guaranteed to pass.

No homework really, the tests are fairly easy its just about 5 videos with questions you have to answer and then you get the grade its simple. You do not need the lab manual do not buy its a waste of money. Another thing is he can be a bit confusing but he tries his best to answer coherently.

Very easy class, the blackboard layout was a little messy but the professor will explain everything you need to know to pass the class.

Overall all, it is an easy class. No homework, and you also do not need to purchase the lab manual. He provides everything you will need on BlackBoard. I feel I would have learned a lot more from Professor Das Jayanta if we were actually going to the lab. In addition, professor Das Jayanta cares about his students and wants everyone to succeed.

Do the labs

The class was easy and the midterm was multiple choice. You do have to write five lab reports but they are easy to complete. However since he doesn’t use a textbook, doing the labs is necessary to understand what you’re supposed to be learning.

Choose the table wisely on the first day. This determines your lab partners. We had a total of 5 Lab Reports but were given until the midterm to do them. Then we had a Midterm and Final. The tests were easy, and he'd help to clear up any confusing questions. His accent was hard to understand at times, but in the end, he was a good professor.

Das Jayanta is really chill and very understanding. No pressure on you in class and only downfall is he kind of throws you into experiments without fully explaining things. Hard to understand him sometimes because of his accent, but keep asking him questions and you'll be fine. Great if you don't want a lot of work, but it is heavily self-taught.

A very big step up from last semester. Personally I miss doing experiments. This class is more microscope and kind of boring. Amazing professor. The midterm he helped us if we didn't know what the question was stating.

I took Professor Das for BSC1010L as well. He's a great professor. Those two classes are quite different. Now we do more microscope labs and even got into dissecting animals. The 5 lab reports are the same criteria that you work on with your lab partners. Other than that, only one midterm and one final. I definitely recommend taking it with him.

Dr Das is truly an amazing professor. He is incredibly knowledgeable in his field and deeply cares about his students succeeding. I literally decided to take a 30-minute drive and wakeup at 7:15 on Friday mornings just to take him and do not regret it one bit. TAKE HIM!!

He's pretty chill. Just take pictures of everything and you'll be fine and even if you don't take a lot of pictures, he will still help you. Actually I'll be surprised if you fail his class.

I 10/10 recommend his class if you are looking to pass. He is super understanding and walks us step by step on what expected during the labs. He even recognizes students' ability to make the class seem less of a class and more of a group hang out. Take a lot of pictures during the lab as those will serve as your own study guide for the midterm.
