Dauvan is so awesome. She has a great sense of humor and laughs a lot. Any time you need help, she is there. She's a great dresser too. All around great person. Ask for help...she gives it.

She's easy to talk to, she's funny and laid back..and we even watched I love the 90's for half the class periods sometimes! She's a great teacher and great person all around. I say go with her!

She's a very nice teacher, but she didn't really teach us a lot. When she reviewed our papers, some of her comments were confusing. She made class fun and sometimes let us go early, and I liked her as a person. I just don't think I learned much at all.

The best english teacher i ever had!!! She was always there to help in and out of class. Had insiteful comments on our papers and had a true want to see her students succeed! (rare to find) Hope she's teaching junior WRT class when i take it!!

dauvan is excellent! she's really young and nice and ridiculously helpful. i grew as a writer form this class because she gave great feedback. also, compared to all the other WRT 150 classes ive heard of, this one was the BEST! much easier and laid back than any other. GET THIS PROFFESOR!!!

Mullaly is an awsome open teacher. She is alot of fun and alot of help. And she has it going on for sure. LOVE THE BOOTS BABY!!! OW OW! Tuesdays and thursdays at 1:50 are amazing!!

she is a GREAT professor that helps you out SOO much with your portfolio (your whole grade in the class) she is very nice and cares about every one of her students. you can give her your paper as many times as you wish, and she will correct it for you until it is perfect (which will neve happen). i felt i became a stronger writer because of her.

Great prof. Always gives feedback to make papers better. WRT 150 isn't the greatest class, but I really enjoyed having her. Would take from her again.

Probably one of the nicest teachers on campus and she really does help you a lot with your papers.

One of the best professors, I would highly recommend her!!! She is extremely helpful and will help you improve upon your papers so they are portfolio material. She is very nice and extremely organized and the objectives of the class are clearly stated from the start. You can tell that she wants to see all of her students succeed.

Dauvan was an EXCELLENT professor, not to mention gorgeous! I was always receiving positive feedback from her and she was always there when I needed some advice. Not only was she an great professor but a great listener! I would HIGHLY recommend Dauvan!

She seemed to be an alright teacher. I liked her; she was nice but at times I thought her to be condescending. I recommend her overall. This class is not a hard class with this prof. She helps when needed but you need to do the papers.

This class was by far my favorite!! She is so helpful and lets you turn in your paper for editing as many times as you want too. We also had a halloween party, and days where we told stories all hour! I highly reccomend her as a teacher!

She was ok... Not nearly as good as everyone says on here, and the class was not worth how early in the morning it was. She's very nice though and that definitely is refreshing since GVSU has quite a few angry pompous teachers. Take this class if it fits well into your schedule, but it's not that important what teacher you have.

Very reasonable and understanding teacher. You learn a lot of helpful writing techniques that will prepare you for WRT-150. Great professor for first semester.

Excellent teacher who will walk you straight to an A... Allows rewrites of everything and is a lax grader. She is fun, high spirit, and worthy of praise. Class provides useful assignments rather than bogus fillers. Professor is intelligent and always available to answer questions and help on both in class, as well as other class's writings.

Great class! Only had to write five papers throughout the semester, so it a good class to take if you have a rough scheduled semester.

To be quite honest she was one of the funnest teachers I've had. It was definetly an interesting class, as she was cool enough to put up with my antics, as well as give me advice, both in writing and morally. She's cool enough to even joke around as well, saying when she gets her doctorate she'll be able to save papers, instead of lives.

She is a good teacher, likes what shes doing and very willing to help, extremely nice and understanding. Take her if you can.

Very easy professor. I learned some things, but not as much as I was hoping. The easy A helped, and when I say easy I mean it took a lot of easy work to get the easy A. Very fun professor, understands the college stresses and is very lenient about homework. No textbook use. Lots of online quizzes. Not too bad to look at either...

Wow, this class was very easy. It could be some work at times, but fairly easy work. Grades easy, doesn't expect you to come to class religiously, and is very nice. I would recommend her if you want a good grade! Sometimes class was pointless, which could become a little irritating. The grade, and her willingness to help was all worth it! :)

This woman knows her stuff. Over the whole term we wrote and edited 4 fairly easy papers and then got to choose 3 to be graded at the end. She's very helpful in critiquing your work and she's very friendly and laid back. She's not one of those loud, annoying, arrogant professors like the bulk of them at Grand Valley.

She is probably one of the best teachers I've ever had. She knows what she's doing, relates to her students. I felt like she was one of us rather than just some teacher.

She's a really awesome professor. She talks to her students like they're friends, she never seems like she's talking at you. It's like she's just having a conversation with the class. It's really easy to get a good grade if you take all of her advice and listen to her critiques and suggestions.

Dauvan was my favorite professor at GVSU. I went into this class with no confidence in my writing skills. I finished feeling like a champ with an A. She brought the best out of me by encouraging me to write about what ever I wanted to. She is very flexible in her assignments. Take her if you can!

Professor Mulally is wonderful. She's very helpful and truly wants you to succeed as a writer. She gives you all the tools you need and is always willing to give you feedback. You get out what you put in in this class.

Very good teacher. Easy regular reading responses and even though she co-wrote the green book, we used it like twice. Very pleased, always willing to help a student outside of class. The writing center also helps a lot with the 4 papers you write for your portfolio. The grading system for this class sucks at GV, but she makes the best of it.

She is one of the best WRT 150 Profs. She had us turn in papers online and edited them for us before we submitted them all for the portfolio, which a lot of WRT 150 Profs don't do. Very helpful, but she does have a dry sense of humor.

Prof. Mulally is one of the best professors at GVSU. She's very nice, clear, and willing to help. Plenty of office hours and is very willing to help during class. If you're an average writer and you complete most of the short, weekly writing assignments, you will at least get a B in the class. Would definitely take her again. Highly recommend.

Professor Mulally was so helpful for writing 150. I was stressed about this class because I really didn't like writing but she made it so much easier when I went to her office hours. I highly recommend going to office hours to get one on one help with your papers. Go in the beginning of the year because no one goes and you can get to know her.

She was great! Writing 150 isn't necessarily loved by the people taking it but she was a great prof! She is always willing to help and gives good topics that makes writing the papers easy. Obviously she can't write your papers for you and the class is a lot of work, but she is willing to help in any way she can! I high recommend Professor Mulally!

Made Writing 150 much easier than I previously thought. Very helpful and gave the option of coming in early to the class if you couldn't make office hours and needed help. Even gave feedback for papers that you could turn in online and get corrected for up to about 2 weeks before the portfolio was due. Really good professor

Professor Mulally is the absolute best. She only wants you to do well as long as you put in the effort. She's hilarious and really improved my writing skills. Take her for sure!

Mulally is always willing to help with papers. GO TO OFFICE HOURS! It will boost your grade and writing ability tremendously. She gives 300 word assignments on blackboard after every class. Don't buy the books. Basically even if you suck at writing but go to office hours, you'll do well.

Professor Mulally cares about her students and wants them to do well. If you go and talk to her she will make sure she helps you as best as she can. Writing 150 is not an enjoyable class, but she tries to make it interesting and do in class activities to improve your papers. I recommend taking her class.

Professor Mullally is easily one of the best writing profs at Grand Valley. She is always willing to help when you have questions. She wants you to pass her class with higher than a C. Go to her office hours! She loves to see her students actually trying to pass. Plus its added brownie points when she grades your final portfolio!!

She is an amazing professor! She truly wants you to pass. Go to the writing center and/or her office hours, she loves to see students who care and will sit with you a little longer when helping on lab days. The only downside is she gives you a 100% on all of your essays just for turning them in on time so you don't really know how you are doing.

She is a great professor and really cares about her student. Shes very understanding when it comes to missing papers and absences. Was nice coming into college to a professor like her. The only complaint i have is that she assigns a lot of busy work such as readers response on articles, but she never really checks if you did the reading

Professor Mulally is a very kind and caring professor. Help is there if you're willing to go get it. Every time I went to her office hours I was the only one there and had a lot of good one-on-one time with her. Very professional and a great experience in her class overall!

This is not an easy class, but she is by far the best professor I have ever had. She knows how to run a class effectively and is more than willing to help out, she really cares about helping her students be successful. Great woman. This class requires a lot of hard work and time commitment. There are many resources to help if you utilize them.

If you have to take WRT150 take Mulally. She is very caring and really wants you to succeed. Class is pretty easy going, and the readings aren't bad. I can say I definitely improved as a writer thanks to her

She is very helpful and there is a lot of one on one time available with her. Most of the class is independent working time which is very helpful because she can give you immediate feedback. She is very understanding and was one of my favorite professors.

It's WRT 150. Of course you'll be writing plenty. Don't let that turn you away from Professor Mulally. She gives clear expectations, grades fairly, and provides excellent feedback. More than that, she genuinely wants you to succeed, so if you put in the work, you'll know that she's rooting for you. Also, a PSA: do not sell back your style handbook!

As my first writing professor in college was a great experience. If you don't show up to class you miss an opportunity to talk about improvements that can be made to your papers. She provides time for you to send her your papers to be reviewed by her and gives feedback before they were due in order to improve upon your papers before they were due.

She was available outside of class to edit or help with papers and always reminded you of this. She was fast with answering emails and sparked nice conversations during class. Very sweet and definitely was around to help when you needed her.

An excellent accompaniment to my internship, this class is one of the few that gave me real-world experience and skills that I can use outside of an academic setting. Professor Mulally works hard to be welcoming and approachable without coddling her students, and you will appreciate the effort she puts in to helping students grow professionally.

Loved her class. She was very clear on when due dates were. Felt like she was my mom but in a good way. She cares for her students and would give good feedback on your papers.

Professor M is easy going and very approachable. She takes away the stress of a portfolio and will help you get the grade you want. Very understanding and always willing to help. No problems with Professor M.

Professor Mulally was extremely helpful when it came to having an issue outside of class. Strict about attendance but if you go to class and meet deadlines you should pass the class no problem.

She obviously cares about people turning stuff in on time, but she really cares about the students on an individual level. She wants her students to succeed and wants to be there for you if you're having trouble with anything. Take her class, she's a great teacher and a wonderful human being.

She is super nice and understanding. If you're struggling with your writing meet with her during office hours. She is very picky about word choice and the way you write. Overall, doesn't require an extensive amount of work to do well in the class though. You don't need a book to do the work either.

She truly cares about the students academic success. She is funny, and wants to plan fun things to do with her classes to keep them entertained.

Really great and nice professor, the assignments are clear and she really wants you to do well in the class. There is a lot of busy work and not much time in class to write essays, so be prepared to do all of that outside class. Also lots of journal entries (doesn't take that long), but easy to forget if you don't write reminders!

Obviously, a reading a writing heavy class. However, Professor Mulally is kind about deadlines and is willing to work with you if you are struggling. She was always very kind and allowed me extra time to turn in a few assignments when I was struggling with my mental health. I highly recommend her, as long as you check blackboard often youll keep up

Professor Mulally was awesome and gave me so much information to improve my writing. By the end of the semester I had improved so much from where I started. Loved her class and her.

She wants you to succeed, and she understands that students need this class to graduate. Incredibly helpful assignments, such a resume and digital portfolio. Lots of guest speakers, too. She makes the class as easy as possible and is incredibly nice. Loved my time with her and would recommend for any class.

I loved Mulally! Not only was she kind, she cared about her students. The workload was light compared to my other classes, we did three seed essays and short private jorurnal prompts twice a week. Easy class and I highly recommend this prof.

Professor Mulally is one of the kindest professors I've had. If you are struggling at any time and make it known to her, she will do her best to make sure that you won't fall behind in class. Incoming freshman, take the Back To Nature course. I promise, this class will help you find your place at gv.

Professor Mulally is an excellent professor and amazing at what she does. She is extremely approachable and offers so many opportunities to strengthen your writing while giving actual applicable feedback. Outside of the classroom she is super easy going.

Professor M is super chill and approachable. The workload is manageable, and she's understanding if you're struggling. Unstuck ai was a lifesaver for study prep.

Professor Mulally isn't very animated but she knows the material and is a fair grader. Lays out exactly what's expected of you and sticks to that for grading. She makes an effort to have one on one time with each student which I really appreciated. Would take another course with her!
