This is probably the best class I have ever taken. Dr. Agresti is lots of fun and had guest speakers almost every class. Wish I could take it again just for fun.

i've learned a lot in this class and would advise anyone who would like something extra in life to take it.

Best professor and class I've ever had. Dr. Agresti is awesome and offers fun extra credit opportunites and he puts a lot of effort into getting good guest speakers. He truly cares about his students and was easily available for help and questions.

This was the best class I have ever taken. The guest speakers kept me on my toes everyday and the lectures were brilliant. Dr. Agresti was helpful yet stern which makes for a perfect teacher. He was great and makes me only want to further my criminal justice degree.

Dr.Agresti is entertains and teaches at the same time.He makes the students active in class,he has a unique teaching method. You have to take this class.

Very good intro class to criminal justice

This was one of the best classes I've taken. He's got a goofy, fun personality with a sense of wit not every can keep up with. Some guest speakers were lame but even those few were at least informative. It's a shame that he's retiring, and that other students won't have the chance to take his class.

i love the way he brought in a lot of guest speakers in addition to his lectures. the field trips were also a lot of fun! i am not a criminology major, but i have really enjoyed this course!

DR Dave is great. Even with subjects I didn't necessarily have an interest in kept me in tune. As long as you go to class and pay attention, this class should be a sinch!

Dr. Agresti was one of the best teachers i have ever had. He is very interesting and makes it fun to learn and pay attention. I have to say his class was the best i have had so far throughout my college career. it is a shame he is retiring because USF is losing a very talented and educated teacher

Dr. Dave was an awesome teacher. Having guest speakers really made the class interesting and applicable to real life. It is a real shame he is retiring and no more students will have the joy of having him teach.

Dr. Agresti is an awesome teacher. He makes the class interesting with all the speakers that come in. The one thing a student should know to do is to read the chapters, thats what I learned that helps, because the information in the chapters help to understand the speakers and help for the test.

This is the funnest class I've ever taken. From the court house to the gun range to the county jails. I wish there were more teachers like Dr. Dave and I appreciate the time he took out so that we could go on these field trips. Enjoy retirement

Great teacher. Plenty of chances for extra credit. A fun teacher who teaches a subject he loves. You learn so much in this class that you wouldn't learn anywhere else. There needs to be more teachers like him.

I really enjoyed taking this class. It was a challenge at times but a challenge I knew I could push myself to overcome. Dr. Dave has a very effective way of getting the point across and making things easy to understand.

What can i say about Dr. Agresti... Well only one word can some it up and that is phenominal...Not only were his teaching methods great, but when i had a a problem and i discussed with him via email, he gave me great advice. Advice that pushed me to better then what i can do. THankx Agrest........

This is probley one of the funnest classes ive taken at USF! Dr. Dave is such an awesome teacher! The guest speakers were cool and there were many bonus point activities you could do! defiently recommend to anyone!

I really enjoyed going to this class. The instructor was very good and made learning exciting. I can honestly say I have learned more in this class than any of my other ones. Having an instructor who makes class interesting makes the students want and enjoy coming to class. Thank you!!

Dr. Dave was the best teacher i had during the Fall 2004 semester. His class helped to clear up a lot of misconceptions which i previously held about the criminal justice system. Dr. dave is retiring this year, and it is sad that other students won't be able to experience this amzing class and pro.

Dr. Agresti is one of the craziest professors I've ever had but he's great. I learned a lot of things in his class that I didn't know. Hope you enjoy your retirement Dr. Agresti and this is time don't come back. Just kidding!!

Dr Dave is a really amazing teacher. He gets some very interesting guest speakers and organizes great field trips. He doesn't play games and never bends the rules...but that's one of the things that makes him great. Too bad we were the last class. There's not enough profs like this around.

It was a very interesting class with great guest speakers, regardless of whether you are entering the Criminology field or not. Dr. Dave has a true passion for the job and I got a lot out of his class because of it.

This was my only class this semester that I really wanted to go too. This was due to the great guest speakers and the interesting material presented. Dr. Dave make the class fun and is one of the few genuine teachers at USF.

Dr. Dave was a knowledgable and interesting guy. Unfortunately, he is retired now. His teaching style was a little absurd to begin with, having others in the fields of criminology come lecture, but he is also able to take hold of the lecture in case of a cancellation. He's a cool guy, with a dry sense of humor; at times it was funny, at times monotonous. Just study for his test from the book and show up in class. If you do those two things you pass.

Dr. Agresti is one of the best teachers you can have. He makes the class very fun and interesting. Just go to class and take the time to look up the chapter objectives that he gives to you and you will pass. I wish i could have hime again for my teacher.

Excellent Class

Dr. Dave was a true badass. Funny guy, made the class interesting, and open with the students. A couple of the speakers blew, but most of the time it was a tight class. I would take another class with him any day.

Dr. Agresti is very awesome. I loved his lectures and they were funny. He had great guest presenters and they were great. I cannot believe he is gone. USF needs to hireback Dr. Agresti.

What a great class! I took it 2 years ago and would def take it again! He has the most interesting gurest speakers and videos.

This class was very interesting, even for non-criminology students. Dr. Dave had great guest speakers, and made class fun. The test criteria was stated and help was always offered. Best my favorite professor so far.

Dr. Dave was an amazing professor, took him my freshman year and there has only been one that has been on the same level as him since. He was such an asset to USF. It's a shame that he retired.

Dr. Dave is a welcome addition to Osher's Study Group Leaders. He offers a conceptual view of the criminal justice system thru his academic and professional background. He gives out toys as prizes and he wears funny costumes to class. Tours to C. J. places were the best part of class. Thanks Dr. Dave for this experience.

I don't know the number of the class, but it was the OLLI -- Crime in American, I think, for the older, retired students. He is excellent and has a wonderful sense of humor.

I had his class way back in the late 1980's. He was an amazing teacher, loved the class. I was totally bummed that I couldn't go on the class trip to the prisons though. Hope you are doing well wherever you are, Dr.Dave!!

This class was pretty straight forward, you come to class you listen to the lectures. the exam was half lecture questions and half book questions. I personally slacked off and deserved the grade that I got. Professor Dave is not there to be your best friend! He is doing his job by teaching you the course material.

Awesome professor! Definitely a very bright guy. There were a lot of guest speakers, and although coming to class isn't mandatory, it's a good idea to go because half of the tests are from the lectures!

Excellent teacher, I had him last semester for Crime and Justice in America. The textbook was necessary for the exams. He used a fair amount of guest speakers, and encouraged students to participate in extra credit opportunities. I would advise taking his class, and I hope he returns in the future.
