Dr. Dave is the best professor at William Paterson. Not only does he make class fun and interesting, but he is really understanding nice and helpful all of the time. I absolutly love him he is the greatest.

Critical writing is not what it seems w/ this guy. Great sense of humor, good grading system and easy work.

Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! This is what a college class is supposed to be! Great conversations in class. Papers are challenging, but he is a fairly easy grader who cares more about the meaning of your paper than the punctuation and such. Take him! It's worth it!

Nice guy, almost too nice. Groupie-factor is high in his classes.If you can handle a lot of cutesy-pie squealing girls trying to get away w/o doing much work, then you can handle Dr. Dave's class. Don't misunderstand, he is a good teacher,helpful,open to questions,but I wonder if he dumbs down his classes to accommodate some of the less studious.

The Nutty Professor! Seriously though, a very nice personality but do not take his niceness for a sign of weakness. Do give him the respect he deserves, he is the teacher after all! He chooses topics that are very interesting and he makes you laugh. Great combination! You'd be crazy not to take him. I'm glad I did!

Friendly professor with a wacky sense of humor. Well-read and knowledgable but has no problem letting students vegg out during his oft-complex material if they don't want to put in effort. You get from the class what you give in to it. Writers will enjoy his very thorough positive feedbacks on papers. "Dr. Dave" was a pleasure & highly reccomended.

DR. DAVE is the man to take for this course. Very funny and keeps the class interesting. The reading was not overwhelming and the papers were reasonable. He realizes that his class is not the only class we may be taking and his expectations reflect that. If you don't like wacky, off the wall humor, stay away, but for those of us who do...AWESOME!!!

Dont listen to the bad comments! Dr. Dave is smart and does not have the attention span of a squirrel. I loved his class, and as a person he is great to talk to. i dont know what these people are talking about, Dr. Dave was awesome! doesnt follow a syllabus, you watch movies and just talk all the time. the readings are even pretty interesting, and as long as you do the work, easy A. def take him!

I LOVE DR. DAVE!!!!!!!! The best professor at Willy P. If you get the opportunity you must take him. He is brilliant and hilarious. Not a class went by where he did not have me cracking up. He's very broad in his paper topics, and papers only had to be 2-3 pages. DR.DAVE IS MY FAVE!!!!!!!!!

Willy P. is lucky to have Dr.Dave. He is the best and sooooo nice. He truly cares about his students and his main objective is to help them succeed. I wish I could take him for all my english classes, I have taken a lot of english teachers and he is by far #1.

Dr. Dave is the MAN! I love him. He's so funny and keeps your classes interesting. Easy grader. Pretty easy class. Would have been alot better if it wasn't for the longest most boring book ever he assigned, continental drift. Overall though easy. Should probably take him.

Not only the best prof in the eng dep but the best prof in the whole school. very funny, interesting,and kind. Lets you pick # and length of papers, and # of absences. Very fair grader. lets you redo papers under an A. I never got tired of going to his class...definately recommend him for anything he teaches!

He is by far one of the best professors I have had in my college career! I took him for Critical I and II. He is HILLARIOUS!!!! He is also VERY VERY helpful with everything whether is is things inside or outside of the classroom. We need more English Professors like him on this campus :) TAKE HIM! Such a great guy!

Took him for development of the english language over the summer. the class was long and sometimes boring, but he can be pretty hilarious at times. definitely worth taking over the summer. it went by fast and the work load isn't bad at all. i would take him any chance i could. great teacher!

Dr. Dave is an awasome person, he really understand whats having other classes not like others professors that will load you with work not caring for other classes assingtments he understands. He is an easy grader as well I took his classes almost all of them because I was an english major so it was worth it I will take him again for grad school

I took Borkowski any chance I got. Hes a great professor. HIs courses are interesting and relate to todays world. Hes an awesome professor ! I would take him again in a heart beat! He is understanding with attendance and papers are not hard at all.

Dr. Dave is the man! He's so funny, nice, helpful, and insightful. I would definitely take him again if I had the opportunity. He gives about 4 papers any length you want and gives the opportunity to re-do them if they are not what he was looking for. He grades on a check to check plus scale and uses the textbook liberally for readings. I love him!

I have taken Dr. Dave in both undergraduate and graduate courses and would take any course he teaches. He is by far the funniest, most relatable professor at WPU and he uses pop culture references to help you understand texts regardless of how challenging they are. I normally only post on this site to warn students about horrible professors, but I'm posting this because I'm done with school and I actually miss Dr. Dave's lectures. He is hilarious and I actually looked forward to going to his class. He actually knows how to get a decent discussion going and assign meaningful work.

Dr. Dave is amazing! He's a relatively easy grader. If your paper isn't good, he will give it back to you to get a better grade. Very friendly and approachable. Take him!

Dr. Dave is an amazing teacher. He keeps the class interesting and always throws in his unique humor. Gives you a few taser tests, which are not hard, as long as you study for them. There is some reading, but this is the easiest of all things to do. And, of course, there are a few papers to be written. Don't fret though, he is kind.

Professor Borkowski is the greatest man you'll ever have for your English class. He is a very unique man, that makes class exciting and enjoyable. I absolutely loved his class. You'll have a great time in his class

I love professor Borkowski! He's kind of weird but he's hilarious. I really enjoy coming to his class, always makes me laugh. He's not a tough grader and he only assigns 3 major 4-5 page papers and makes us read like 5 books. He's very lenient. I highly recommend him to anyone. He's very friendly there should be more professors like him out there.

One of my favorite professors. Took him for "Critical Writing 1" and "Films and Literature." He makes the subject so much fun to listen to. You have to write response papers, 2-3 pages, which are easy, and he gives you a second chance to submit with corrections. If you don't get an A, it is because you are lazy. Not heavy reading.

Wish I had this Professor earlier at WPU. Hes really funny. Knows how to relate his material to out lives. A few papers to write, not difficult. No exams or quizzes. Reads a lot of material, so be ready to read. Participate in class and you should be fine. Love this class, would love to take more with Prof. Dave! Def recommended!

He's an amazing/funny professor, sad to say I'm finished with all of my eng courses needed but I would take him again if i could. For Global lit we had to read atleast 6.5 novels and that was the only homework. We had class discussions about the book, almost like a book club. One final paper was due at the end of sem about the themes of 2 books.

Absolutely awesome! I enjoyed reading all the books he assigned and the books he assigned were not hard to read. He gave amazing feedback and he made you think about your responses in a different perspective. He definitely made this a very interesting class and Im very glad I got to experience it during my last fall semester !

I love Dr. B so much. Really fun lectures, lets us take the lead when it comes to participation and class discussion, and total freedom when it comes to writing papers. There's a lot of reading but you can honestly get away with not reading as long as you shmoop it and participate a few times. Only three papers for the whole class and theyre easy

he's nice and funny, lenient with due dates as long as you get it in, but class time is spent talking about nothing. you don't even have to sparknotes the book. he talks for most of the class period and doesn't lead any kind of discussion. i like him a lot as a person, but as a professor, not the most engaging. take if you want an easy pass.

professor borkowski was amazing. he was easy going, understanding, inspired critical thinking and some effort in our papers

Borkowski was very kind and wacky. Always played music in the beginning of class and encouraged thoughtful conversations about the text. His expectations of students are very reasonable. Only 2-3 papers for the semester and they are not more than a couple of pages. Definitely recommend as a professor.

Professor Borkowski was great! The class was fairly straightforward, with constant reminders to keep you on track. The stories he chose during our semester were all in my wheelhouse, so I had a ball. Writing requirements were reasonable, and plenty of time was given to complete them. Enjoy the experience; I highly recommend it.
