Dr. C rocks! he teaches in an awesome way and is really helpful and really clear about everything, and also about as fair as you can get

Super Fun class, he explains everything very well, and makes class fun, with no attendance policy he class is always full because it is fun and easy to understand. Cool Powerpoint presentations!

I really liked him. Just when I thought I was going to do poorly in his class, he gave me time to do extra credit assignments. He is a very nice guy over all.

Dr.C is awesome! The course is really easy as long as you read for the quizzes! If you don't then it'll bring down your grade majorly. The tests are pretty difficult. STUDY HARD for tests! I loved the course and couldn't ask for a better professor.

Any professor that brings candy to class every week deserves a Chi Commendation. What do y'all think?

Carkenord is great! Take him if you can...quizzes are difficult and so are the tests, but if you study, you'll be fine. Wonderful professor!

dr. c is so cute! he's such a little man and he's really sweet. just be sure to be very professional with your projects and to make sure you study everything he suggests for quizzes and tests and you'll get an a. if you feel you deserved something better, talk to him, he's willing to compromise.

he is by far one of the best teachers i have had. he is so friendly and caring towards his students, and he makes sure you know the material. if you are not doing well in his class, then youre not trying.

I've had Dr. C for three classes now, and he's also my advisor. He's a good teacher, and a wonderful advisor. His classes are hard, but if you study and ask him for help, you'll be fine. Advanced General, by the way, is hard. Be prepared to read when you take that class.

Dr C is AMAZING! I loved his class, even though it is challenging! His tests and quizzes are hard, so u have to actually study ;-) In class he is amazing, you don't want to miss a class. I highly recommend taking any class u can w/ him.

Great teacher. Easy to understand, presents information well. You won't want to miss class. Quizzes are on reading and you need to read for them! Tests are on class material so go to class and you'll do fine!!

Doctor Crakenord wants to see you succeed more than anything. He gives extra credit and candy on a daily basis :) his tests are hard, but multiple choice. he explains EVERYTHING with videos, examples, and sometimes personal experiences. sign up for his class!

A VERY good teacher. Keeps the class fun and interesting with videos, personal stories, and candy!He tells alot of cheesy jokes but they add to the fun of his powerpoints. Always come on Fridays! RECOMMENDED EVEN IF YOUR ARENT A PSYCH MAJOR!

He is a great teacher!! He cares about his students and wants them to do well. He gives a lot of assignments, but they are worth your time and they help your grade. Just read the book before a quiz, turn in your work, and you'll do great!

Best teacher I have ever had. The class is difficult but if you study then it becomes easier. He goes out of his way to help the students and takes time to go over each thing. He really is an amazing teach.

I absolutly loved this class. He made it so interesting and fun, not to mention he is extremely nice. If you have a question he is always willing to help. His tests make you think so study hard. There are textbook quizzes every week, but they aren't brutal. I adore him as a professor and look forward to going to his class.

AMAZING teacher! His class is very interesting and I enjoyed going to it. There is a 10 question quiz every week but they are not hard at all, as long as you read! His tests on the other hand are pretty difficult. You REALLY have to know the information and show up for class everyday.

Dr. Carkenord was very helpful. His class was always interesting . Even though there was a quiz every week if you did the readings it was an easy A. His questions were not hard and when it came to tests he had all of the reviews online including the final.

Carkenord is awesome! I don't really need to explain anything else. His class is moderately hard, meaning that if you want to pass you should show up, although attendance isn't mandatory. Study for the quizzes which are all from the textbook. The tests are only on the lecture which makes life much easier. There are presentations and group projects.

He's awesome and tries to make the class 'sun' which in of itself ends up being funny.

Honestly the best teacher I've ever had in my life. If you have the opportunity to take a class with this man do it! You won't regret it.

I took 4 of Dr. C's classes and he was my advisor for my research internship last year as well. They were by far my favorite classes in college. He is engaging and fun, while also passionate about the course material and beyond intelligent. He genuinely cares about each of his students and makes Longwood U that much better.... Carkenord is a phenomenal professor. He is interesting, funny and friendly. His class is enjoyable, but his tests are difficult. Carkenord wants to see that you really know the material. His quizzes cover the textbook readings and tests cover lectures. He is more than willing to answer any questions and give advice, but make sure you study.

This is NOT the easiest class you'll take. He makes you work for your grade, so if you think this course is easy sailing--don't be fooled! His questions on quizzes and tests are loaded, meaning you have to read them carefully and know the material thoroughly! If I/O psychology interests you, then take this class, but don't take it just because....

Dr. Carkenord is by far the best teacher I had this semester. I am a psychology major, and he made the class very easy. He allows you to use handwritten notes on quizzes and tests, including the final. He gives extra credit on fridays and I can say he genuinely cares about his students.

Loved this professor! He gives though tests and quizzes, but he teaches the information very well. I highly recommend him. I loved his class and would take him again if given the chance. Also, he gives you candy if you show up to class on Fridays.

Dr. C is SO awesome! He makes even the most boring subjects interesting; I think I would hate this course (I/O Psych) if it were taught by anyone but him because the material is relatively dry. Be prepared to spend a good 6-8 hours every week of outside work in this class for reading if you want an A, but Dr. C makes every second worth it!

Dr. Carkenord is a great teacher, interesting and easy to listen to his lectures. However, his tests are difficult, require lots of reading and understanding.

Carkenord is incredible. He is intelligent, and is by far one of the best professors at Longwood. He cares about his students success so much which is amazing and so refreshing. I expected the course (PSYC-460) to be a lot harder but Dr. Carkenords approach breaks the material down week-by-week and the assessments/exams are relatively easy as long as you prepare appropriately. Reading the book and reviewing lecture notes are a must! Attendance is mandatory! Dr. Carkenord is very accommodating & has a great sense of humor!

Dr. Carkenord is a great professor! You can tell he cares about his students and wants to help them succeed. Quizzes and tests are open notes if you hand write them yourself but be prepared to read lots from the textbook for the quizzes. Extra credit is given on certain days if you show up and can be put towards the tests which is always helpful.

Dr. C is the greatest!! His lectures are so engaging and I truly appreciated all of the jokes he includes, they always brightened my day! Attendance isn't mandatory, however, his test questions are very specific to the stories he tells in class. Even if you go back and look at the powerpoints later, they're very vague. Go to class, he's worth it!!!

He lets you make cheat sheets for quizzes, take them later even, lots of extra credit, projects are super easy, gives out candy, just a super nice guy. The only thing that was difficult was his tests are very detailed so definitely study his powerpoints.

Best psychology professor I have had. Very understanding and cares about students success. He wants you to succeed and I love that. He is always there for students and if you don't miss a class or if you take good notes there should be no reason to get a terrible grade. 10/10 especially his dad jokes.

He's literally the BEST teacher I've had so far in my first year. Everything is open notes , so if you fail that would be your personal problem. All you have to do is take notes and read and you'll be fine. : )

I love this man. I wanted to add me tags so: participate, it makes him happy. He likes to make corny and punned jokes so laugh! Easy class to pass, does a lot of the set-ups for you Everything was open note but primarily because of COVID Interesting lectures, not just talking. Extra credit! I would love to have this guy in my family seriously

Dr. C is one of the best professors in the department! He makes his lectures fun & is always there for students who need help or have questions. He's got Fun Dad energy. I wish I had been able to take another class with him -- it was a great experience with lots of fun projects to balance out the papers & tests.

One of my fave profs! Lectures are actually entertaining, has the best memes, class participation is on note cards (great for people who don't like speaking in class), open-note quizzes & tests but I'm sure everyone would pass even if it wasn't open-note. This class was literally so entertaining and interesting 100/10 would take it again with him!

Dr. Carkenord is my favorite professor I've ever taken at Longwood. He is the nicest guy and SUCH a good teacher. The assignments he gives help you to apply concepts you learn in class to your life, instead of just giving you an assignment just to give you an assignment. He is the perfect balance of being understanding but also having expectations.

Dr. C is absolutely amazing. He is a favorite at Longwood for good reason! He is funny, caring, and makes sure to always check in on his students as a person (checking in on stress levels, etc.). His class participation system is the best - you don't have to actually speak at all, just occasionally answer a question on a notecard that he collects!

Awesome professor! The only professor who doesnt put me to sleep. I actually looked forward to going to his classes! Lets you use 3 whole pages of written notes for quizzes! Tests & projects were pretty easy! Tells lots of funny dad jokes and cares about his students! If you have the option, take him!!

Dr. C is one of my favorite Longwood professors. He makes the material easy to learn and always puts dad jokes throughout the presentations. He is very understanding as long as you communicate with him. You can tell he really cares about his students and wants them to succeed. If you have the option to take a class with him, take it!

LOVE Dr. C! He made the class super fun! He is really understanding and if you talk to him he will most likely help you out and understand. There are quite a lot of assignments, but nothing super hard. Exams are very straight forward. Favorite Psych Professor ever!

Great professor, who really cares about his students but still holds reasonable expectations of students. Lectures are amazing and very informational and make you forget that you're sitting in a classroom, because time flies when he teaches. If you are able, take as many of his classes as you can!

BEST PSYCH PROFESSOR!! Dr. C is awesome! His lectures had so much effort to try and make your day better. His exams are kinda tough but there have been worse. There are reading quizzes that are open note, and like 5 simple projects that you do. Great class and very informative!

He is straight to the point and it's amazing. He has weekly quizzes on the textbook but trust you will be prepared do not worry. Take this class, you will have no added stress!
