Had Dave for math 65 and 95, he has true passion for math and teaching. He is always there for his students, always answers emails; even on weekends! He is smart, funny, but does not offend. He is a favorite of mine; I stop by and visit whenever I can. He moves fast, but has a lot to teach, you cannot wrong with Dave; He gets an A from me!

I had Dave for Mth 60, 65, and 111. His hard ass style works for me. He makes you want to live up to his high standards, in a challenging and positive way. I would not be at the Math level I am at right now if it wasn't for Dave. He is willing to go the extra mile and help any way he can if you are willing to help yourself and do the work needed.

I just wanted to clean up a mistake I made in rating Mr. Faverault on here. Yes, we had a bad test in 112 as a class, but corrections were made and everything turned out really well. A lot of people got paranoid because it was a big test, but it turned out fine. Really nice guy. Spends a lot of time helping students. Put up with me andthatsays alot

Dude knows his stuff. He's very clear and concise, and more than willing to help if you put in the effort. Expect him to pick on you a little if you don't show up to class regularly, but lets face it... this is college and you should be an adult about the class times you choose. Don't pick 8AM if you cant be there at 8AM.

Honestly Dave got me through this class, I hate math and I've openly told him I hate it. He responded with a funny remark and helped me understand everything I wasn't(which was everything) As long as you show up to class with a good attitude he will willingly help you out and go out of his way to help you out. People say his tests and quizzes are hard, which baffles me. They're called "tests" for a reason, to test what you know. If you actually pay attention and do your work, you will pass no problem.

He told me straight up he thought I wasn't going to pass after a bad midterm, but with both of our efforts, I got a way better grade in the 2nd midterm and final! At first, I didn't think I was going to like Dave's class very much because he calls on people randomly during class. As time went on, I liked him as a teacher more because even though he calls on you, he makes it light-hearted and fun. Overall he is a good teacher and makes class fun.

This is not your usual calm nice professor. Probably the most energetic, fun, talktive one. I went into precal straight from geometry and was a bit nervous. However, majority of it was review of algebra 2 and Dave was always up to help someone (he seems scary but he's really not). Other than that he likes to use an interesting choice of words.

A really good instructor that will help clear the material in class for everyone and if your still confuse go to his office hours and he will explain it until you get the material. I had this instructor for math 111 and 112 and i'm going to take him for calculus. In advance some people can't handle him because of the language that he cuss at.

I absolutley hated math 111 and wasn't good at it. I took math 111 with a different prof. and I didn't pass, but I took it with Dave and I passed. He explained things very thoroughly and made sure you understood the topic before moving on. He likes to make jokes and cusses pretty often but he's easy to get along with. He gives out a substantial amount of homework but you have a week to complete it, just don't fall behind because it's too much in one night.

He is a really excellent guy, but the only problem is how heavy the tests are on your grade. If you want an easy A, this class is not for you. You have to work for your grade, but he is a good teacher so it is not too bad.

This was my first in person and my first math class I've taken since the pandemic started. It was challenging, but David was not only a great professor but a very supportive person. Genuinely funny and easy to talk to. He really sparked a joy in me I haven't felt for so long enjoying being in class and working hard. Truly inspirational person.

Hilarious, establishes a comfortable, safe space for all students. Really encourages everyone to come out of their shell and motivates them to learn. If you're considering who to learn Calculus from, Dave's a 10/10.

There are quizzes and Graded problems almost every week. Even though attendance isn't required, you should still come in every class. If you do miss class at least you can watch the videos covering the topics. Long class. Funniest teacher in existence, he is always willing and enjoys helping you during his office hours, good time. David is by far the funniest teacher I've ever had. There's never a dull moment his in class. Homework can be very difficult, but he is great at being available and helping students efficiently. There is a textbook with this class, but it is not required and is pretty much never used. His not packets make up 90% of the work.

Dave is by far my favorite math teacher, I took Math111 with him last spring and intend on taking Math112 with him this winter. He is engaging and really cares about his students, he always offers help outside class for anyone who struggles and explains martial incredibly well in class. You should be able to do well as long as you put in the work!

Dave's class is challenging but rewarding. He has a great sense of humor and is always willing to help during office hours. Using Unstuckstudy along with the free textbook helped me succeed.

If you are looking for a calculus teacher, I cannot recommend him enough. He answers every question to the best of his ability, if you come to his office hours he explains things clearly to you, he writes his own problems to work on during lectures, and is the most entertaining teacher I have ever had.

Dave was great! Super funny which made classes fun and enjoyable. It's crucial to be in class as to not miss anything, but as long as you communicate with him you'll be fine.

I came into his class not knowing much math, taking math 111, 112, and 251, i am very confident and i know a lot of math. Dave is a very funny teacher and he cares a lot about you learning math. I would take him for all of my math classes if I could. Really good teaching strategies

Dave is super personable and connects directly with all the students in his class and makes the class enjoyable. He explains things very clearly and is always available to help in an out of class. I would (will) definitely take more classes with Dave.

Dave is a great guy and cares about his students. He's hilarious and makes learning calculus fun, if that's even possible! I see him around campus, and he still remembers me from last year. The grade perfectly reflects how much I learned in that class, as I definitely didn't deserve an A. (I slacked off! LOL) 10/10 would recommend! :)

Dave may seem grumpy, bad first impression(s) and can be a harsh grader. But once you get to known him, his teaching style, and humor, he is in fact very caring, funny and wants his students to succeed. On the first exam, I got a C-. Second exam a B. The final an A-. If you put in effort, he will help. Highly recommend going to his office hours.
