He is a really good teacher to have. The funniest class I've ever been in.

Definitely a difficult prof. Wouldn't say he was the best, though, however I have never had a more hysterical professor.

Hard grader on papers, really funny in class, MAKE SURE you do the readings or else the test will be really hard, unless of cours you go to the study session, then it's really easy, so GO! Humor def makes class enjoyable and it's not for the light hearted

He is a very smart man who has done research in race and gender. He says certain things to get students involved and thinking. You can't say that he is not helpful. Also, to the person who rated him on 11/19, it's 'who' and not 'whom' in this case. ;)

Hilarious, never a dull moment, loves to push buttons and is very very good at it...... 60 min of entertainment

Funny man. He plays devils advocate so get ready to defend yourself. His class was entertaining, but I don't really remember learning anything.

Anyone thats wants to learn and is not a slacker will do well in any oh his classes. If you the student do nothing forget it don't take him. He hates students that do conduct themselves in a way that professors expect students too. I woud take him again.

this guy is the man! it should be required for every student to take at least one class with him befire they graduate!

I learned more in his History class than ever before. He was a very funny teacher who made fun of himself as much as anything else. He uses his offbeat sense of humor to help you learn. As long as you don't take things too seriously, you'll get it.

he is very good and casual but alot of people take his class because they think it will be a fun joke class you do have fun but he is an extremely hard grader and usually bases the grades of the whole class on 2 tests and two papers

I would take any class Dave teaches!! He is engaging, and I am amazed at how much of his seminars I have retained because of his thought provoking lectures. Beware of tests though! His papers are generally pretty straightforward, but if you think you can skate through a Moskowitz test, THINK AGAIN. You must study for these. Love love love him!

He is amazing and entertaining guy. Very intelligent, and makes the driest material more interesting then it should be. He is so helpful and understands that not everyone will get somethings but he is willing to help all the time. Loves to answer questions, the nicest guy on campus and the most comical =) he is the man!

Dave is an amazing professor. He is very helpful, and his unique teaching style helps you remember the material. If you're having a hard time with the class, you should visit him in his office and he will help you. I hope to have him again!

He's such a cool dude. Super funny and makes the most boring topics interesting. He knows none of the kids do the reading and doesn't care at all. Swears like a trucker. The class itself is super easy to pass but harder to get an A if you don't study or do the reading. Overall, pretty great!!!

Greatest core class ever. The testes were moderately hard but attendance was worth 20% of your grade so if you showed up to all of the classes you got a huge grade boost. He spends more time making jokes in the class than anything else. Also he should have two chile peppers next to his name.

He's so hilarious and so nice. He'll only pick on you if he knows you can handle it. For instance if you're the quiet shy girl in the back he won't try to bother you or embarrass you! Loved his lectures, everything was related to present day to better understand which I loved.

hes a very funny guy, I would totally take him again. But i didn't really learn much in his class that I didn't already know, partially cause we went by the book and it was not a very good book. But overall very kind professor who really loves what he does, and he seems to genuinly care for his students And he is HILARIOUS! You won't regret taking

Every class is a lecture but they are informative, easy to follow, and rather entertaining. He connects historic concepts to things like modern television shows. Keep up! He talks a lot and so you should write a lot. He gives a lot of reading to do but as long as you keep up with the notes you may not need to read everything.

Relates lectures to real life.

All you have to do is take notes on the lectures and its an easy A. Hands down the funniest professor I've ever had and lectures relate to real life. Would take again

AMAZING PROFESSOR. His lectures are engaging and highly interactive. He does a phenomenal job relating the course material (History of democracy) to students every day lives and decisions. Overall awesome guy, awesome professor. Every student should take the time to get to know him outside of class, he's super interesting and really helpful!!!

least conventional class you'll take at roger, and you'll have a lot of fun. He tells you exactly what to do for tests which are usually open note and for papers, so if you prepare what he says you're fine! I've seen a lot of kids get Cs because they think because he jokes he wont take grading seriously. Go to his office hours, he's so helpful.

If you take this class, you better know right away that Moskowitz is an absolute clown. He will curse, make fun of students, and just do some weird stuff. But if you can get past that, he is a good professor who truly knows a lot of American government and does a good job of helping kids who are struggling. Would recommend him for sure.

I loved my time in Dave's class. He genuinely makes the topics interesting and relatable and speaks to us on a level that is not condescending/pretentious like other professors. I appreciate his approaches and how real-world examples come into play. My best friend was in my class and we still talk about some things we learned. You won't regret it!!

One of the best professors here at RWU. Always tries to make his students laugh all throughout class but learn at the same time. It can tough to understand where he's going with his lecture but he always makes sure people get it at the end.

Honestly, research meth with Dave was not bad! The beginning of the class about concepts was much harder than the math portion. Go to office hours because that's where you really learn. He might make jokes but if you pay attention, his jokes have meaning. Heard he just gives everyone a B but not sure how accurate that is. Do the 8am class for an A.

Research Methods was one of the hardest courses I have taken and it was at 7:45am. However, Dave was always cracking jokes to keep the class engaged which made waking up early worth it. You will also learn a lot. Dave was very kind and understanding when I had a family emergency mid-semester. Not sure how I got an A. I definitely recommend him!

Dave's classes, as you will learn after a couple of weeks, are chaotic, hilarious and somehow meaningful. For the first few weeks, you will be very confused as to how anything he is talking or joking about has any relevance to what you're learning. Then, a week later, it will all click. If you enjoy entertaining lectures, take his class.

he was always available to see for extra help. i thought he was a good professor and had strong beliefs about politics.

He seems tough but he's all fluff. Just make sure you prepare well for the written exams and you know that what you're going to say is what he wants to hear. You can do this by paying attention to what he says in class even though his lectures are kind of confusing.
