Excellent professor. he doesn't move on to the next section until you are sure you understand the prior. He grades fairly and gives you a chance for extra credit points. you will get out of the class what you put into it. I highly reccomend this professor.

Great teacher. Explains everything, and also has a sense of humor. Replaces your lowest exam with a score with a higer exam score that you've earned. Makes study sheets to help you learn. Recommended.

you never have to use the book unless your going to do the homework. I highly reconmend him. I took this durring the summer so it was a 8 week long class and I still thought it was a helpful class.

Dave is a TEACHER. He can deliver the material in a way that helps build a foundation. He wants all to succeed. You want a dedicated teacher? He helped me with my next level math class, on his own time, just so I would do well. This guy is the real deal. Go to class, pay attention, do the homework, you'll succeed. Are you with me on that?

Mr. N. is awesome!!! He gives you every chance in the world to succeed. This class is extremely difficult, and Mr. N. gives every possible opportunity to earn credit to improve your score.

Mr. Nosanchuk is the best teacher I have had while taking classes, he is very fair, all his notes he gives are handouts and are step by step on how to do things. If you know your notes he gives you will get an A on the tests. Any math I take I make sure to take his class because he is so wonderful. I would recommend him to ANYONE!!

I hated math before I got this guy. He's an amazing teacher. First off, he actually wants you to succeed and then he gives you all the tools you need to get there. He has great handouts, gives extra credit to help pull up your grade and he teaches more than one way to do things so you can find your own comfort level. Take his classes.

I won't take any other teacher! He makes everything clear and very understandable. He's nice and makes the class more fun and eases tension. He has good/funny ways to remember things (all over 2a). And he goes over everything prior to the homework and has worksheets that he goes over for notes.

Math is not a skill that comes naturally to everyone-especially not to me. Dave gets that and is always willing to help anyone with problems understanding! He's a great teacher and I have signed up to take College Algebra with him as well.

I'm a total idiot when it comes to math and I got an A- during the accelerated summer I semester. Half the class failed, though, because they weren't willing to do the homework. You have to do the work if you want to pass. If you put in the work and show up to study group, you will pass the class.

This teacher is fantastic! He has his own method which is very organized & you can purchase his handbook (highly recommend). HW and tutoring is extra credit. Do not miss class or you'll be lost. Do all HW & get some tutoring and do all extra credit to get an easy A!!! I took 8 week class got an A & I took this class 3 times before unsuccessfully!

Awesome math instructor. Gives you the opportunity to ask questions in class, email & in his office hours. Every semester is usually the same- 7 tests (wo snow-days) with a comprehensive final all are given the whole class period to take. Like any class, your homework is your practice- don't practice and you will suck. extra credit gives up to5%

If you do not show up to his class or do your homework it will not be easy to pass. This is a class you have to try for to recieve a good grade! But he does make the class fun and teaches easier ways to do math problems!! Would take his class again, for sure!

Nosanchuk is an amazing math professor. Very knowledgeable & explains things in a way that make math concepts easier to grasp. He has a spiral notebook where you fill in the blanks that you can buy from the bookstore which makes note taking and studying much easier. I have always struggled with math but Nosanchuk has made a huge difference for me.

I was scared to take math, since I have always struggled MAJORLY with it. My best decision in my college career thus far was to take professor Nosanchuck. He is not an easy professor. You need to go to class (obviously) and do the homework. His tests don't trick you and he's very fair. I end with an A. Still can't believe it. HIGHLY recommend.

Great with notes, but other than that he doesn't know how to teach. Not approachable at all. Doesn't offer help. Not an easier grader in any way!! Life outside of class? no. loads up on homework with not enough examples in class. So if you're doing them wrong you won't find out until test. Don't take this class unless you want to fail.

Mr. Nosanchuk has been my favorite math teacher by far. He gives a lot of homework but it isn't all mandatory, it's extra credit that will help your grades later on. Seriously do it tho, its set up to help you succeed! He's a really great guy with a good sense of humor and will not hesitate to answer your questions. I'd definitely retake his class

I personally really like him. As a teacher, hes really sarcastic and can be snotty, but he knows his stuff, and hes a good teacher. He helps you take great notes and will answer questions, but he goes really fast.

By far the best algebra teacher I've ever had. The way he teaches just makes sense. There is a lot of homework but as long as you have good time management and do it all, you'll be fine for tests. Try not to skip unless you're a math expert. He's a jokester and very sarcastic, so if you don't have a sense of humor, I wouldn't recommend taking him.

Nosanchuk is awesome. He's super sarcastic, so if you don't understand sarcastic humor, he's not your guy. He has an easy to follow course pack that contains all the notes you need and if you do the homework, you will do good on the tests. He tells you have he expects from you. Also, he's not too hard on the eyes!

Professor Nosanchuk is the first instructor where I felt I actually understood the material. He made sure his students understood what was going on and the environment was overall friendly. However, if you want to do well then you need to put in some serious time. Participate, study, ace the class. Highly recommend.

One of my favorite profs! If you aren't willing to put in the work for a college level math course, then this class is not for you! The tests are tough bc there is a lot of info to retain, but homework is optional and you can also attend study sessions for extra credit! I had to work very hard to pass, but he is an excellent professor.

This was a pretty tough class because if you want to pass, you need to do the homework-and there is a lot of it (even though it is extra credit). BUT I do have to say, Professor N. is great, and he provides a lot of extra points. You will not pass if you only do the bare minimum. As long as you work for it, you will do fine!

Dave moves a little fast for me, but I like his grading system a lot. He assigns a lot of HW, but it's all extra credit. DO IT tho, it'll help you to practice, and will save you in the end. He also offers a ton of other easy points. I had to work a lot to pass, but that's what college-level math is going to do to you. Took him twice and loved it

I hate math, and I'm not going to say I love math after taking this class, but I learned a lot for sure. Professor Nosanchuk is a friendly guy, you just have to get to know his humor. He explains everything really well, and is accessible outside of class. There are a lot of points you can earn, you don't necessarily have to get all A's to pass

I really appreciated his teaching style. He was well organized, accessible, grading was clear cut and gives partial credit for exams. He gives you all the tools to succeed but you HAVE to work and pay attention (it's math, so duh). A lot of HW but it's extra credit. He WILL call on you at random. I hated math but somehow enjoyed this class.

Prof N has clear grading criteria, and gives lots of options for extra credit. He does give a lot of homework, which is extra credit. But lets be honest you cant really do well in math without practicing a lot. Show up to class and work hard. It is a college level math class you gotta work for a good grade. Dont expect to pass if you dont.

Dave is a great professor. It's rare to find a prof who offers extra credit and his helps you hone math concepts. hes doing a great job of prepping students for college algebra so dont get upset that hes a tough grader itll help you in the long run. also hes funny and is well organized.

Mr. N is a teacher for those who really want to embody mathematics for their career. The course was tough due to being at an elevated pace; however, it was well organized and chronological. Homework is optional but highly recommended.

Get ready to do A TON of homework. about 150 problems per week. The homework is extra credit but its the best way to study for the exams. Exams are every other week but they're easy and he's super good with partial credit. He has a super good SI as well. If you need help he is always down to help you. gives 5% extra credit with lots of options.

But I can say that he cares a lot about the students that work hard and take the time to get to know him. I'd always send him a text after my finals to see my grades, and he'd always tell me! He wants you to do good and he will help you if you ask. He is very understanding and nice. If he goes too fast or skips steps he tells you so that if you're confused you can stop him and ask him to explain what he did. Do all the extra credit and go to the SI sessions they are so helpful. Do the hw, do good on tests.

Ive done better in his class than I did in any other math class. I used to think I just wasnt good at math, but he taught it in a way I understood. He can come off as intimidating but he really just wants you to learn.

Nosanchuk is by far my favorite professor. He takes his classes very seriously while making sure all of his students are having a good time. No doubt you'll walk out of every class laughing. His tests are very easy as long as you complete the homework assignments and attendance isn't mandatory but those who show up to every class get extra credit.

Personally, I enjoyed his class. BUT YOU HAVE TO PUT IN THE WORK! There is a LOT of homework, but your grade will reflect it. He gives out these work point things, DO THEM - ITS E.C.! The notes are guided, and he is very clear on what he wants to see on the test. This class is WAYYYY easier when in person, because of COVID we had to switch online.

This is a class you're going to have to work for, there is a lot of homework, but he gives 5% extra credit to your final grade in the class. Everyone has their own opinions on him, but I have taken him for 2 semesters, and he's just fine for me. GUIDED Notes are super easy and very helpful. Put in the work and you'll do fine.

Nosanchuck seems tough but he's actually a very nice person and cares a lot about his students. He seems condescending in class but that's just his sense of humor. He gives a lot of homework for extra credit and is extremely clear during lectures and about his grading criteria.

You are going to get A LOT of homework, but its worth it. Personally, I really enjoy his teaching style and I think it makes sense. Guided notes and 5% EC. Guided notes and tests correlate, no surprises EVER! He is funny and ACTUALLY CARES about his students. Test every two weeks. REMOTE - HE DOES LIVE ZOOM LECTURES!

The bad reviews about him are probably from students who refused to do the homework. It may seem like a lot but if you do them after class you will be prepared for his tests. This is my 2nd time taking the course. First time I failed, this time I got an A. Doing the homework helped me significantly highly recommend taking him. ATTENDANCE IS A MUST!

Honestly the best math professor I have ever taken. The amount of extra credit he gives is very helpful. Homework may seem like a lot but if you actually do it then you will be done in no time. His tests are exactly what he says he will test you on. I have never been a math person until I have taken his class!

This is my third class with Nosanchuk and he is a great professor. He is very supportive of his students. He always wants to help them do better in the class, as long as the student shows initiative to want to do better. He gives you the opportunity for extra points through homework and study guides. Overall I would highly recommend him for math.

All the people complaining that he is just mean and condescending don't really understand him. Also his lectures are fast paced because he has a lot of content he has to get through in order to meet common course outcomes. He genuinely cares about his students' success and gives a lot of extra credit to help.

I took two classes with Professor Nosanchuk and can honestly say he is a good teacher. If you follow along with the course pack and do your homework you should have no problems at all. He also gives out extra credit for super simple stuff like not being on your phone or making a study sheet.

Nosanchuck is an awesome professor. There is a ton of homework, but if you do the homework you will do good on the exams. His grading scale is very lenient. The course pack is very helpful in learning this course. The only con would be the price of the textbook. I would recommend taking him for any level of math!

Excellent professor. Would take it again. The textbook is needed (buy it used). Lots of homework that prepares you for tests and earns you credit. Before class, there is a study group/session where the homework is discussed (you'll get credit every time you show up and homework is mostly done for you). Syllabus is full of tips to do well and pass.

I had Dave Nosanchuk for Precalculus and I can honestly say that he is the best math teacher I've ever had. His notes are amazingly easy to follow and extremely useful. His tests are very fair especially if you do the homework. Homework is not mandatory, but you will get extra credit for it. I highly recommend this professor.

Nosanchuck is by far the best math professor I've had in any of my math classes, but be prepared to have a lot of homework. But doing the homework is essential to being prepared for each test. If you are struggling in the class I would also recommend attending the Si sessions that are available to get extra practice/help.

He wants you to KNOW the material, not be familiar. Test are worth about 85% of the grade. NO EXTRA CREDIT instead attend Study Group. Has a great SI currently. PARTICIPATE AND DONT BE LATE. Homework is overwhelming and almost impossible to complete. Not happy with my grade but happy with the knowledge. His class is math bootcamp! No retreat.

Mr. Nosanchuk asks you to do the work. Yes, this is a math class, so you've gotta keep up. The SI sessions are a real help. Just don't let yourself fall behind. Would take again.

Prof. Nosanchuk's algebra courses are great. The way he sets everyone up with a pre-made notes packet for lectures was extremely helpful to me. Way less time spent copying notes and way more time spent thinking about the material! Completion of homework & participation in study group is vital in order to do well on exams if you're not a math whiz.

I took his 1150 E class and it felt like a rushed course because of the extra material. He does an okay job with teaching, doesnt give a lot of time to ask questions. A ton of homework but those questions are on the test.Also the grading scale saved me from failing. About 5-10 points per question so if you can attempt it, you will get some points.
