Class was pretty fun. He had some good stories to make his point more clear.

His class is very difficult to sit through. You're better off reading the book yourself because he doesn't teach anything that is out of the book. I got a B but didn't learn a darn thing from him.
He's a cool guy, but his tests are freakin hard. He has a lot of All of the above, none of the above, and 2 of the above on his tests which makes them tricky. If you take him make sure its a small class not a huge lecture hall because you'll fall asleep.
His class definitely requires a lot of reading. Its not as easy as some others. His lectures are interesting and class goes by fast and he's got some potential extra credit.
Really enjoyed his class. To be successful in his class you have to attend all of the lectures and understand the book inside and out. Don't wait until the last week or day to do the project. Make sure that it is well written. Make sure that it's been editted.
Makes the subject more difficult than it needs to be.
His tests are out of the book not lectures so you can just read the book and get the same grade as attending. His semester project takes more time than studying for all of the tests combined and is only worth 80 points!! I think the self assessments were extremely repetitive.
If you're not an HRM major, don't take his class. There were just too much work to do in his class and the tests were too tricky. Can't believe Finance & Accounting came to be much easier than this craft! Recomended is you really like HRM which is a sorry major!
Abramis SUCKS!! He can't keep the attention of the class, he rambles aimlessley in attempts to make a simple point and just makes things much more complicated than they need to be.

He definitely isn't boring. It is a tough class because of the amount of the material covered and his tests are challenging, but if you've studied well you won't have any trouble. If you like to be challenged and actually want to learn, he is a great instructor for you.
he explains things well, really teach us something. but the class is too boring...the project is too much work...exams are hard. take him, if you are good at studying by yourself
Very detailed, you must do the reading and go to class, content was very applicable. Get his feedback on your ideas for the project ahead of time.
this guy is a moron, he goes off on different tangents talking about pointless things. too much work, tests are hard.
Not cool at all!!! Please reply if you had taken his class last semester
HE'S WEIRD JUST TO START WITH HE CHANGE FORM SUBJECT TO SUBJECT LIKE A CRAYZY WITHOUT EXPLANING ANY OF THEM + HIS TEST ARE SO CONFUSING AND SO TRICKY HE WILL NOT LOOSE A SINGLE MINUTE OF THE CLASS TIME AND HE MAY TRY TO STAY AFTER HOURS TOO + HIS STUPID ASSIGMENT ARE WORTHLESS AND WILL TAKE ALL YOUR TIME BELEIVE ME JUST TAKE IT WITH SOMEONE ELSE .
Tests come from the book and assigned pages. There are questions that are very specific but nothing you can't find along the lines in the book which you are supossed to read anyway. The project was a BITC* but if you do them as he scheduled it on the syllabus you'll do fine, it just applies to us major procrastinators. He is quite interesting.
I actually received an "A" on the first two test. Grades aren't in yet, so I'm not sure about the final;he takes this class way too seriously. He over explains the simplest concepts. Don't take this class at night. He keeps you the ENTIRE time. He never lets class out early. The test are difficult, but you'll pass if you read the book.
WORST EVER!! he thinks he is funny but he is boring as hell...takes forever to say something...he gives you a long, useless project and he grades it very hard..AVOID HIM!! You are LAME abramis!!!
I hated this class and teacher. Semester Project is too much work and is pointless. If you end up taking this class, make sure you do the Assesments every week, if you wait to the end of the semester to do your project, you are in way over your head.Tests questions are hard to comprehend. Also,be prepared to stay the entire time.NEVER lets u out earl
very nice guy but his tests are long and hard
tests are very hard. his term project is ridiculous and pointless. very harsh grader and plays favorites in the class!
worst teacher I have ever had. makes class harder than it actually is. don't take him.

REPRESENTS ALL THAT IS WRONG WITH TENURE SYSTEM.LECTURES ARE HORRIBLE.INCLASS PROJECTS ARE POINTLESS.TERM PROJECT HAS SOME VALUE,BUT HE USES IT AS A WEAPON TO "ADJUST" YOUR GRADE.HE GAVE ME 38/80 ON IT.25 PAGES, MISTAKE FREE.I DEMANDED AN EXPLANATION OF THE FAILING GRADE, HE BLEW ME OFF.I FINISHED WITH B.DIDN'T WANT ME TO GET AN A.DON'T TAKE HIM!
This teacher blows. He went off on tangents all the time and made class very confusing!
OMG! this class sucked! semester project wasnt hard, its just that hes rediculously picky and if you go to him for help hes NOT helpful. i HATED this class.
He was horrible and way too hard. This is undergrad, not a PHD progam

DO NOT TAKE. Test are way to hard and the semester project is very time consuming. Take Sy, anyone but this guy. Horrible, Horrible, Horrible. You will regret taking him.
Challenging teacher but OUTSTANDING class experience. Great story teller, but you MUST read the book to do well in class, the lecture is only about half the exams.

This guy is very inconsiderate and when you do approach him for help he tends to be rude and unhelpful - I got a grade lower than what I earned because I did not want to give him responses to a bunch of personal questions

THIS GUY SUCKS!! take someone else
He is a nice guy, and very interesting. Loves teaching; however, I do not think he is good at it. His tests are really hard and one cannot study for them. They do not make sense and are very tricky. 36 Page paper due at end of semester. Tough! Take it with Josh Arnold to make life easy.

This guy is a ****in tool. I had Finance 300 and Econ 333 classes that were easier and smoother than this guys gay ass HRM class, even though the material is obviously harder. I think he's just bitter cause he could only develop into an HR teacher. I graduated a Marketing Major and now work in a Advertising Agency and found this class usless in the "real" business world. What a ****in waste of time.
This guy is a really well-read and experienced professor who applies extensive book-smarts(from outside and inside the text)and real-world experience to form a challenging class. 1/2 the exams are from text, and 1/2 from lecture = required lecture. An incredibly personal and time-consuming self-analysis project intimidates and inundates, too. Hard.
Really boring. He thinks he's funny but he's lame. The final project is a complete waste of time. He also gave me an unfair grade and never answered my emails.
When you take the class, make sure you have the text book and a sedative. The textbook you could use at home. The sedative is what you'll need for his lectuers. The professor is lacks clarity in everything, and he likes to go through these long pauses while he's speaking. It drives me nuts.
average teacher, his test were confusing at first. Then he clarified them. Big project that you have to do about yourself. Comes out to about 40 pages, if you keep on top of them every week like your suppose to, your fine. I waited the last two weeks and was miserable finishing up. Keeps lectures random....
You can do well in this class if you work your butt off! Read everything and go to all the lectures. Otherwise you will have major trouble. He is stuck in his ways, and rather arrogant. Take another professor if possible. The term project is VERY demanding.
I thought Dr. Abramis was very clear and explain terms in a way you could understand them. He a great teacher and he makes the class interesting. His test and projects are very hard.
He's really funny and cute too! The class is hard though, and the final project is annoying.
He's a really nice guy. He will take the time to answer all your question; however, his test are a bit hard. You need to read and know your stuff. The self analysis test that he talks about at the begining of class - get started as soon as possible. The project is harder than it seems.
Awesome professor. The class is not hard at all. Read the book and the exams are easy. The only bad thing about the class is the Self Assesment final project. Its so useless, everyone ive talked to about it just looks at it as busy work as i do. It doesnt help you "figure" yourself out. It helps you become a better BS'er. but i do reccomend
great to get class over with
This guy is a pot bellied fool, his class is ultimatley boring, and his jokes are not funny. He assigns a "term project", dont let this fool you. It is a 42 page self analysis of how boring your life is blah blah blah, project sucks. Class rating overall, moderatly difficult.
This guy makes this useless class harder than it is with long essay requirement at the end. I should have taken this class with Dr. Shore who i heard was much easier and no project & essay to write.
He is a great teacher. He makes class interesting and he is always ready to offer support if needed.
Teacher was organized. That is about the only good thing I could say. Pretty boring stuff. The tests were harder than they should have been for a HRM class. This course is suppose to be an easy one, and Abramis's tests did not let that happen.
I personally liked his class. He is a great teacher. He makes class interesting and he is always ready to offer support if needed.
This was a complete waste of time. This course could have been interesting if it wasn't for him. He is arrogant and annoying. 42 page paper at the end that is useless. Avoid him if possible. Uses different terms than the text and his tests are not based on text.
Professor is great at teaching material. loved his class because you dont have to read book word by word. Loved his lectures because really explained concepts & didnt read out of the book. Very interesting, very helpful & really nice. Tests are not THAT difficult, just go to class, pay attention, ask question. BE A GOOD STUDENT & u'll be fine!
Despite what others might think, I think he's a great professor and he puts a lot of effort to try and make the class topics interesting because he doesn't read from the book or from power point slides. Hard to get an A but just remember to attend class since his test are mainly from his lectures. No 42 pg project required! Put effort & easy B.
Cool Guy. Hard Test. Only Has 3 Test. Don't really have to come to class
Easy Class- Just read the chapter and go to class. He spells everything out for you. He talks a lot, but most of what he says is interesting. No 42 page paper due at the end of the class. Tests are hard, but mainly based on his lectures and what he thinks is important from the book. I recommend.
Very tough tests, no homework, just 3 tests; however, he is an incredibly interesting teacher. You actually want to go to class. End of the semester is a bit more kick back then the beginning with alot of interesting videos. Very cool teacher, genuinely interested in what students think.
hahaha seems like Abramis is rating himself on these last four comments...avoid him!!
Hahaha maybe he did leave himself comments or he improved this semester. nonetheless, this professor sucks hardcore
Great teacher! Very interesting and funny!
He's a nice guy. He really is interested in instilling knowledge in you. His tests are difficult. Although they are multiple choice, there are more than one correct answers, and you have to pick the "most correct" one. Very important to go to class and also to read the book thoroughly!
Professor Abramis is a great teacher. He was a professional consultant for many years and really knows his stuff. One thing I liked was that he gave us opportunities to meet our classmates by having mini group assignments. These assignments were not difficult and were completed in class, but really made a difference in our interaction.
I loved this guy! He is clear about what he expects and a fair grader. I don't know why people keep complaining about a 42 pg paper since its 100% OPTIONAL. The tests are only hard if you don't go to class because he shows a lot of videos and some of the questions come from videos we watch. I would definitely recommend him.
you must teach yourself
This guy is the biggest disappointment at CSULB. I worked very hard and turned in a 65 single-spaced, excellent project but got a B in the class. I sent 4 emails before I got a response. The B was because of participation. How can you participate if you raise your hand but he never calls on you? Unless you are his favorite, you will NOT get an A.
He explains the material really well and makes the class interesting. But in order to do well in you must attend class and take really good notes. Just don't take in him in the night becuase he keeps you until the last minute of class.
He's a nice guy. Very clear and understandable in what he teaches. Very organized. He gives 3 tests, all multiple choice questions. His tests can be a bit tricky and are challenging to get an A.You must choose the "best" answer. You must read the text and attend the class to do well on his tests. The 42page self analysis paper is optional.I recommed.
Tough tests, you must be prepared or you will be doomed. Luckily, he gives 75-85% for a B so it's very doable. He also adjusts the tests scores. Must attend class since 30% of each exam contains questions from lecture or video. Just be fully prepared for exams, you only have 3 so not much room to screw up. He will push ur grade if borderline.
Very interesting teacher and lots of enthusiasm for a night prof. Gotta be in class to understand some of concepts that are covered. Especially attend the days that videos are show which covered on the test.
Very important to go to each class meeting... although class is very boring. Tests are difficult. No homework. Some group activities.. in class only.
He's interesting for a night professor in the fact that he doesn't make you fall asleep. You must go to class. His tests are hard because you must memorize everything not just the concepts but every term. It is very time consuming to try and memorize every term.
This guy's class is all he has. So he puts everything he knows to the class and make the test hard as he can. I hate this guy.
Must go to class. Very hard tests but he not only curves the tests he curves the grade. 85%A 75%B 60%C 50%D. I barely studied and got a 70% on every test. If you want to do well, go to class and study EVERY TERM. It's an umbrella factor. Don't just know def...how everything under concept. Tests are tricky.
Great professor, interesting and funny lecture for a nigth class. Test are hard and you have to study but the teacher is so passionate about the class that make you wanna study. One of the best professors on campus.Love it.
Abramis is a very dedicated teacher. He puts A LOT of work into his job and he expects a lot out of you. Attendance is required, as is reading the book. The final project isn't too tough. He gives a lot of feedback. One of the best professors I've ever had in terms of actually learning something. He's a weird guy, but you'll get used to him.
Professor Abramis, the epitamy of a great teacher. He does expect alot from his student, but work alot harder than any of professor at CSULB. He is very knowledgable in the subject and is willing to explain anything that is unclear. Take this professor if you want to get something out of this class. If you want to do the bare minimum, dont take him
Must go to class. I noticed I did the best when I first studied the notes from lectures and then went to the book. Most of the test seemed to be from lectures. Took lots of time but he will give you some good insights.
Have to go to class 50% of test comes from random videos and lectures. He never let's u out early and loves to hear his own voice. He curves so its not terrible but not an easy class, it takes work to pass
I really enjoyed this class. Abramis is funny and some of the stuff is actually interesting. Go to class and skim over the book and you can easily get a B.
Tests are really difficult. There's no reason for this class to be this difficult. You have to know everything in the book, and simply knowing definitions won't cut it. Teacher does not review for exams.
Do not take him, He is a horrible prof. PLEASE DOO NOOOT TAKE HIMM!!!!
Dr. Abramis is one of the best professors that I have taken at CSULB. He truly cares about his students and wants them to get as much out of the class as possible. If you're not planning to work hard, don't take him! He's a lot of work and reading, but it's worth it in the end. I would highly recommend him!
I guess Abramis leaves his own comments on this site. No student would leave a comment like below, ha ha ha ... Do everything to avoid him ... It might be one of the worst prof. ever don't take him!!!
Great prof! He expects a lot but I appreciated that.
Took both of his seminars over the last year. Great person, passionate about the material, wealth of knowledge. Don't take this class if you don't like to read or speak in public. Class requires active participation and application of readings to real-world work experience. Great class for MBA students, great teacher & person. Take the class!
Please do everything to avoid his class. He is not a good professor and also not a good person. It is waste of time and money. He is very mean person. He makes class very hard. DO NOT TAKE HIM... I HOPE CSULB ONE DAY FIRE HIM... HE IS NOT WORTH THE TIME AND MONEY. USELESS CLASS AND PROFESSOR!!!
Abramis is a joke!! He can't keep the attention of the class, he rambles aimlessley in attempts to make a simple point and just makes things much more complicated than they need to be.DO NOT TAKE HIM!
DO NOT TAKE HIM... HIS IS A PAIN IN THE A..!!
I don't know why people don't like Abramis. This class ACTUALLY made me feel like I was at a university. He doesn't just hand you the answers and makes you think. Don't take this class if your lazy and don't like going to class. Whole grade is based on the 3 exams that he does somewhat curve. And 90% of questions are from lecture, so go to class.
If you want to learn...take DR. Abramis. Gives 3 exams, no hw. Must attend lecture and read book. The negative comments are simply from students who want to get by with an easy grade. His class will benefit YOU in the business world. WE SHOULD HAVE MORE PROFESSORS like Dr. Abramis, his class was worth every penny!
he stinks
Do not even bother taking him...Please do everything to avoid his class.
Don't listen to all this negativity. He is an awesome teacher, he knows what he is talking about. He is very nice and very clear on everything. I think the class is fun and interesting.Sometimes he makes you participate but it is not a big deal at all. There are only 3 midterms that are really not that hard and sometimes group work for extra credit!
Abramis is very easygoing. His class requires a lot of reading and participation. 60% test content on lecture, 40% reading. The stuff he teaches is easily applied to real life. If learning isn't your goal, take someone else.
ok, so it's not a mick class, but it's not rocket science either. And you don't have to be an HRM major to appreciate this class. Very useful, applicable principles taught. Easy going professor with sense of humor and relatable case studies and anecdotes. If you want to skate, take something else. At least it's not boring.
He is really a professional professor. I salute/hats off to him for his positivity, love, and interest factor towards his teaching profession.
Abramis is a great professor. He's very knowledgeable about his field. He is very clear about the structure of his course and what you need to do for an A. Having said that, simply reading the text got me an A. Although the lectures were interesting and clarifying, I have a hard time sitting through any 3 hour class so I wasn't always there.
Must do the required reading to do well in this class.
BOOK IS Req. FOR GOOD GRADE. test is based on readings and lect. lect is interesting but can be dry. tests can be hard so read book. no hw. EC options. many students dont care for him because he is kind of odd but i like him he is fair and interesting to talk with but like many prof. he can be a smart ass. do what he asks of you and get an easy B
He is definitely the definition of a horrible teacher. Worst teacher I've ever had in my entire life. Good luck if you end up taking him
GREAT professor. Best I have had yet. Every negative comment about him is from a loser who does not want to study or learn and just cruise. Its a University, not high school. Funny, Intelligent, Helpful, and passionate, and Respects everyone. 3 test and a big curve that students dont need if they listened and did their work. 5 Stars
Well, he is a very cool, respectful and helpful professor. The curve is 5% below the norm for an A or B. His exams are hard and the lecture does a so-so job preparing you for some of the ambiguous exam questions. A study-guide and more clarity would be nice. Exams cover a large volume of info with #3 being the hardest.
Must buy book. Good teacher because he actually speaks clear english unlike other teachers. He talks about the actual subject too! An A grade is 85%. 3 tests are not easy but not hard. You have to go to lecture to take notes for the test. Overall good teacher. I'm happy I invested my money with him! Thank you Professor!
A Great professor! He is very clear and makes difficult concepts easy to understand. Don't miss class!! His test questions come from his lectures. Take good notes! He's a fantastic professor! Highly recommend! He is also very helpful and answers all your questions. Read Chapters before class- he expects you to know the concepts! 85% is an A.
Read the book and take good notes. Tests can be challenging but he gives a good curve. Ended up with an A. I enjoyed his class because his lectures were clear.
Exams were pretty difficult. Make sure and attend the lectures because most of the exam is on his lecture notes. I received an A in the class but definately had to study.
Exams are extremely difficult, even after I read all the chapters and took notes in class. He's a really nice professor and is passionate in what he teaches. The grade scale will help you get a higher grade, but you definitely need it since the exams are so difficult. His lectures aren't that clear/informative either. Overall, a mediocre professor.
A lot of reading and work, but a great great class!!!! You learn a lot about yourself and leadership in general. Enjoyed this class very much.
OMG HES AMAZING! He is funny and really clear on every topic always asks if everyone understands...you cannot text in this class he will kick you out...but I learned so much and 85 and up is an A! he also gives extra credit opportunities take him!
Professor Abramis is an excellent lecturer, but for the tests, you need to know your stuff - read the books and try using the study guide provided by the publisher. 85% is an A so if you actually read and understand the material, an A is so attainable it's almost unfair lol
An extremely interesting, yet somewhat tedious, introduction to the HRM profession. It is basically psych applied to the Bus. profession. An A is attainable if a) Lectures are memorized b) book is read at least 3x per chapter c)perfect attendance and perfect notes. A recording won't hurt at all. He loves the subject, could ramble at times though!
Good professor. Interested in making sure students understand topics. Likes when class participates. Need book. Only 2 midterms and final (MC). Take good notes. Relevant and interesting course.
Overall the class is an easy B if you study. But he can go on and on about the topic which gets extremely boring and you can not text in his class. Do not take him as a night class. Took him Mondays from 7-9:45 and kept us till 9:45 about 95% of the time.
Really cool guy, he really knows what he is talking about. Will sometimes do small, very easy (15 minute) group projects in class. 3 Tests total, including the final, you should get an easy B if you just pay attention and take notes, but to get an A you need to read the book. He does tend to go a little long each class, otherwise good teacher.
This class is easy enough if you take really good notes and read the book!! He likes student participation and will sometimes randomly call on students so if you do not like that, don't take this professor. I got an A in this class, but it requires that you go to class since some test questions are specifically from lecture, as well as read!!
1Most reviews looks like he wrote them 2Never lets you go early his 2stories takes up all 3hrs of class time 3. 15min team projects are a waste of time end of class 2 c who is in class 4 recommends stuff that he likes not the students 5Do not recommend for students not in hrm because he makes u hate this subject 6tests are hard and some outofbook
The easiness of this class is based on how you feel about taking tests (for me it was easy but I understand the negative reviews). He seems nice and speaks clearly, but he sometimes goes off on a tangent during lectures. Tests cover the book material but tend to focus on the topics that he goes over in class. Not interested in HR, class was okay.
I loved him! everyone else is right the tests are hard, and there is only 3 with no other assignments. I thought having this as a night class would be unmotivating, but the subject is interesting and he is so knowledgable. Attendence is pretty much necessary though to obtain even a b, but an 85% is a B. get the book.
HARD HARD and Hard exams...only 3 exams. 85%is A la 60%is C, but...supper hard exams. don't take him
SO incredibly rude! horrible teacher, does not care about his students learning at all!! do not take him!!
Read the book, take good notes on each chapter, go to every class session, take good class notes, and take the group activities seriously because he gives extra credit to the group with the best answers.Tests are challenging but fair. If you fail this class, you need to reevaluate how you study. He comes off as arrogant, but he teaches effectively.
Probably one of the most interesting professors I've ever had and he knows what he's talking about! But his tests can be tricky so you reeally have to make sure to go to class and take good notes. Overall, despite how difficult the tests were, I would say his interesting lectures definitely made up for it. :)
Dr. Abramis made this class very interesting. He tries his best to explain every topic to the fullest extent so you not only remember, but fully comprehend the content. Lectures are key to doing well in this class but the book is necessary if you want an A. The entire class is graded on only exams.
Dr. Abramis is not easy but if you show up to class, read the textbook and online readings and are lucky enough to have someone reliable record lectures (Which Abramis sets up the first day) you should do alright. Didn't read any of the book and got a B. You need to put in effort for the A but I would suggest you take him.
His exams are very difficult as he tells you ahead of time; however if you attend lecture and keep up with book chapters you'll be fine. Do not let his hard tests intimidate you; you just have to be prepared. Attendance is mandatory since he mentions things in the lectures that are not always in the book.
His test are so hard, he makes so difficult to understand when he all the options seem to be the answer. He is no help at all!
He really knows his stuff, but his lectures ramble and frequently get off topic and very personal. You need to show up to class as well as do the reading. Exams are not memorization, you do need to understand the material. Show up, take good notes, read the chapters, study and you'll be fine.
Ive been at LB for awhile and he is by far the worst professor ive ever had. He is power hungry, will call you out if you even check the time on your phone, if someone disagrees he is never wrong, i was 5 points from an A and he wouldn't budge. He is all lectures and super old school, still uses an overhead projector and clear slides. AVOID HIM!
You can get at least a "C" if you only study from his lectures. I think I couldve gotten B's if i recorded his lectures and jotted down points that I missed. Clear lectures, but digresses a lot. People who got A's took notes from the lecture AND the textbook. Curves. Grade based on 3 midterms+Final (non-cumul.). All tests are MC.
Hard exams but I've learned a lot from his class than any other classes. Best professor ever at CSULB. Would recommend taking him if grade is not the only thing you care about.
You really just teach your self honestly. He puts people on blast, and is un-motivating in the beginning of the semester. I would still have picked his class because the tests are easy if you understand what you read. Also, you need a minimum of 60% to pass, and the rest of the grades are curved down to help you pass.
You must attend all lectures and take good notes, but you also must read every single page in each chapter. Even if he doesn't go over it in class (thats most material) he will still test you on it. No study guides either. You kind of have to guess. He also calls people out and always has to be right. No phones he will kick you out.
Lectures are horribly boring and he is constantly dragging out topics and getting sidetracked. Although I enjoyed what he had to say, you have to teach yourself EVERYTHING in the book. I got an A but had to read every chapter and take detailed notes. I do respect him since he has actual work experience and a cool background.
Test questions are difficult & challenging with trick answers. 2-3 answers will appear to be 100% correct. The grade is based on three tests. Only advice would be to dodge this professor and consider taking another professor!!
Lectures are super interesting and engaging but if you don't read the textbook, you'll be behind. The class is graded on 3 exams (and some extra credit if you can earn it in team exercises). Everything he says, that's in the book, or video he shows you is fair game for the exam. Available for office hours and his advice is very helpful.
I dropped his class after His introduction session; I was put off by his off topic auto-biography expressing his personal beliefs and why we as a "Homo-sapiens" species will extincted our self's within decades. I could just project off topic lectures causing concentration issues. I do not doubt his intelligence but he is not for everyone
I came back just to leave another bad review on David Abramis because I want to save whoever is searching for their spring classes from this terrible professor. He is very negative and very unmotivating. Put people on blast for no reason. Off topic 80% of the time. Hard exams based on lecture, book, and things outside of both lecture and the book.
Professor Abramis has an interesting viewpoint on a lot of different material he covers. His class is graded solely on his exams, which are difficult. He does curve the exams and while attendance is not mandatory will include random things from his lectures in the exams. Many of the class discussions were repetitive, but I do respect the professor.
Abramis can be a bit blunt on his various viewpoints on certain subjects, some revealed in his intro autobiography. His class can be lecture-heavy with tests being majority of your grade. Sometimes goes off-tangent. Recommend reading all supplementary material and reading all assigned chapters. Occasionally, want students to participate.
I don't recommend this professor. He's rude to students. He says a lot of out of pocket comments. Despite his terrible personality, the course is interesting. Three exams (Respondus), curves it + adds his own grading scale (love the grading scale tbh). Just go to class, take SI (it helps SO MUCH), and read the textbook. You will pass if you do that
Don't take his class!!! He is very arrogant and rude to all students. His whole class was only 3 tests, which were all worded terribly confusing. He teaches his own theory's and continually states our textbook is wrong. His grading scale is actually friendly(75% is a B), but he is not and neither is the class.
His personality isnt my favorite. He proctors using respondus webcam. His exams arent horrible, but he writes them himself so they can be very confusing (grammar errors and such). I personally wouldnt take him again, but some people adore him. 3 exams and the average is your grade. He curves it by like one question. Take SI it helps so much.
Ahh, so this website has helped me choose a lot of good professors. I made a mistake with this one. Wants to force everyone to have webcam on when this violates student privacy. Cold calls people throughout lecture, and you are expected to answer. 3 insanely hard exams, hardly any curve. TAKE SOMEONE ELSE! RAISE YOUR GPA!
Only reason this class was bearable was that if you do what he asks, it's easy - but what he asks for is ridiculous. He will test you on theories that he made-up himself as well as random articles/videos on topics not related to HRM. My least favorite thing about him is that he fills AT LEAST 1 hour of class time with useless questions. EVERYDAY.
Do not take this Professor. Very arrogant and rude, expects way too much out of students. You must read the entire textbook word for word, attend all lectures and hope you do good on the exam. You must also read the online articles he posts on beachboard, he does not curve by a lot, usually a few questions at most. Avoid and take someone else.
You must attend every lecture and take good notes. Grading scale is only 3 exams. I took good notes and read only some of the book and was able to pass with an A. Exams are based on mainly lecture and BB readings. He isn't everyone's cup of tea but I enjoyed his class. Wasn't as hard as everyone made it seem. Generous grading scale
Grading scale is based on three exams. Exams are difficult and encompass everything in the book, not just the material from the lecture. He can be rude during his lectures and his expectations for the class are extremely unreasonable. Don't walk, run away from this class.
Take any professor but him. SOOOOO BORING. He's pretty rude if you ask a question and he thinks it's a dumb question he will let you know "IM not sure what you're asking me"
He curves, got over 100% because of the curve. If you attend lectures, read the book and pay attention to extra readings you'll be fine. Def gets rude w/ bad ?s and wrong answers A weirdly abrasive dude sometimes but the class isn't the worst. 3 mult choice tests- no projects or papers Don't panic if he's ur only choice for HRM
I genuinely enjoyed this class and professor! Many students took him as being rude and difficult but I honestly found him to be very charismatic and supportive. He is willing to meet outside of class if you need help and offers a lot of extra materials to help understand topics. Read the book before lectures and you will do great!
Abramis fails miserably to prepare his students to become effective HR mangers. Some of his lecture material has nothing to do with HR/OB and is not 1 to 1 with the textbook. He has a strong character and is easily irritated if you ask open ended questions. The class grade is based on three exams which were extremely hard and a 60% is passing.
BEWARE! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! The class consisted of 3 exams, which were extremely difficult. He is extremely rude and is easily irritated. His lectures were full of nonsense that has nothing to do with the subject being taught. Take a better Professor.
Beware! He is easily frustrated with any question and has a superiority complex so he will try to embarrass you to the whole class. Says inappropriate things in a class. He does nothing to prepare you for tests because he does not believe in study guides or supplemental work even though his material in class can be far off from the test.
Anyone can pass this class if you study and read the book.
