Not helpful at all with working through the King's Players Practicum. Said he'd get in touch but took two months. Don't bother with the practicum!

If he likes you then you will get an A but if he doesn't you are out of luck! So suck up if you want a good grade!

get on his bad side, you'll never get off. if you do KP, expect him to hijack your life - even tho he'll never show up for rehearsal (or if he does, he'll be reeeaaally late). if you stay for both semesters, you're one of few - most leave after their first semester.

he probably means well but the class was a drag. only two tests and a couple of online assignments. Easy A

You can tell that Dr. Allison really does try to make his class interesting, but I wound up dreading the class after only a few sections. I hardly ever give professors a bad rating and very rarely get bored in class, but this class was particularly excruciating. Really nice guy, but not very specific and half of the class matrial is useless.

Always late. Cant keep track of the class. Forgets to give quizes and doesnt have a good grading scale for speeches. Seems to give a grade off the top of his head. Just a terrible proffesor in my opinion.

I hated this class. I wish my communications teacher knew how to communicate.

He's not exactly professional. He does not come to class prepared, does not organize grades or the class schedule, always comes late;it doesn't motivate one to work hard. If you know one of his sons or are on KP you get an A. The class is easy, but feels like a waste of time. even tho he liked me and I got an A I say all this cuz it's true.

Dr Allison is...annoying. I can't stand his class. He's usually late and never organized. I feel like I haven't learned anything in the class. Also, he suggested that students sell their completed notes for the first exam (which everyone tried to do) and for the second exam he didn't give a study guide, because you could buy them off of someone...

Professor Allison takes the "lecture" aspect of his class and makes it his own... not in a good way (ie unorganized). He thinks that showing YouTube for 4 classes in a row is a great way to learn. Also if you take the class with him... you really don't need the book. It's a waste of money and honestly I would just say don't even take him at all.

At first I really didnt care for his class, but as time went on I enjoyed it somewhat. He doesn't grade very hard, but he's extremely unorganized and doesn't really tell you what you need to know very well. So, if you can deal with unorganization I guess he's not that bad.

sigh. steer clear you won't learn anything. the only reason I passed was because the lab assistant helped me alot. He doesn't really teach he just gives you assignments and is surprised when you don't do well on them.

I kept a list of the stupidest things he said like "Bill Cosby is the funniest man of this century." This helped me stay somewhat focused. He just reads facts all class and tests on them too. You won't learn anything you couldn't get from the history channel. He was doing chemo at the time so his mind was out of it. tons of EC and easy A, tho

Dr. Allison seems like a nice guy, but he's just not the best teacher. He's extremely disorganized, which leads to frequent wasted class time. He has almost daily tech problems with computer/audio/projector/videos etc. It's a decent class content wise, but I'd recommend another teacher.

INCREDIBLY disorganized! After arriving to class 5-10 minutes late he spends at least 15 minutes fixing a "technical difficulty." He asks students if he can use THEIR laptop to give lectures and answers his cell phone during class time. Although Dr. Allison is a nice man, I highly recommend someone else if you really want to learn the subject.

Most pointless class ever! Dr. Allison seems like a nice man, but he is SO UNORGANIZED. I'm also pretty sure he gets his information from Wikipedia. I can't help but feel that I'm wasting my money watching him fix his computer so he can show us youtube videos the entire class. Don't waste your time or money!

Easy class. Dr. Allison almost always forgets to give quizzes so don't worry about that. He is quite often late to class and is extremely unorganized. He also seems to have an abnormal amount of technology issues.

Dr. Allison is very unorganized. Lost my speech outline and then would not give me a grade for the speech or the outline. It was 15% of my grade. I had to go to the Dean of Communications so that my grade would be fixed.

Dr. Allison was the worst teacher I have had so far at Liberty. He was incredibly slow at grading to the point where it was three and a half months after the class was over before the reading assignments were graded. I had to contact the dean of the communication department before he would grade anything. He ignored all of my emails.

Dr. Allison is very knowledgeable and his class helped me improve in the area of speech giving. I feel that I am a better public speaker now and am now better prepared for public speaking. However, Dr. Allison is very unorganized. He shows up on and late. He is very kind though

Awful, just awful. If you aren't a COMS major & don't need the class, don't take it, he will just aggravate you. Incredibly slow grader, ignores emails 80% of the time. Some weeks he'll teach on the material, other weeks he'll teach about whatever he wants. Sometimes grades quizzes/tests wrong. He is rude in person. Avoid him, if possible.

Frustrating class. He was entirely unorganized and throughout the semester, I never knew what I was supposed to be doing. Easy class, but not worth the headache I experienced every time I tried to do any work. Unfortunately, as he's the only one that teaches this class on campus, I suggest taking taking it online with another teacher if possible.

The classes were entertaining because of the video clips and material but the online quizzes and assignments were not usually up on time. Also, the room's media didn't work well. LOVES Apple.

Dr. Allison is very unorganized and takes a long time to post notes. Class was entertaining with all the videos watched, but I felt as if we did not learn anything of real value.

He can't work technology, most of his information isn't even correct, he doesn't assign or grade things on time and your grades will suffer because of it, he doesn't even know his own assignments.

Dr. Allison is a fun and kindhearted man. The classroom was very lively. It's an easy class, but he is as confusing as hell. It often takes him over a month to get grades posted. He never responds to emails, and nothing is by the syllabus. He usually arrives to class five or ten minutes late, and often dismisses class as soon as he does get there

Sometimes he answers his email, sometimes he doesn't (only when it's convenient for him). I spent all Thanksgiving break reading a book and writing a six page paper for extra credit. After three times of asking him to put the grade up on blackboard, he EMAILED me my grade but didn't actually put it up so I got no credit for my work.
