Really easy class, but thankfully David presented it in a way that remained interesting.

LOGIC. easy class, cool teacher. sent emails with notes so you can print it out. books not needed.

I took his intro to Ethics class. He made ethics interesting. He is a little scattered with how he presents the information so that it is a little hard to follow for notes. Before each test he gave a study guide that was exactly like the test. I recommend this class to anyone who needs a humanities credit.

David is the man plan and simple. He makes the material easy to understand. Gives out almost word for word study guide of the test. He is just really easy to deal with. Plus he cusses in class which is hilarious. Great guy and better teacher.

at first i thought he was completely crazy but by the end of the semester i really liked him, he's hilarious. i know it seems like he's redundant and doesn't make sense in lecture, but somehow it works, write down everything he says and it's so easy to study for the tests. and def don't buy the book. easiest philo class at the U of A!

David is a good guy. He keeps it real and will never try to cheat you. We got off topic a lot but he won't test you on material that he doesn't feel he taught well enough. Also gives out plenty of bonus and exams are pretty easy because you pretty much know what will be tested. I'd take his class again for sure.

Good teacher, rambles a little but gives you the stuff you need to know. Dont need the textbook at all dont even but it. He gives bonus oppurtunities for people in class. And hes pretty hilarious.

He is a fun and easy going teacher and gives random bonus points out all the time. He gets off topic and goes on tangents alot but they are usually intersting and easy to follow. He covers everthing that will be on the test and tells you exactly what he'll ask you about on study guides. Its an easy A and he actually makes it interesting too.

Very easy class. He gives bonus to people who go to class but attending is not necessary to make an A. Also, DO NOT BUY THE BOOK. You will never use it. The only reason to actually go to class is to get bonus and listen to him ramble. He is kind of annoying but this is a very easy A

He's a good teacher who clearly loves what he's doing. He tries his hardest to be clear and helpful, and he's pretty successful at that. If you want help in his class, just ask. He wants people to do well. You don't need to read the book, but it's helpful. The class is an easy B, but you'll have to work for an A. He gives lots of extra credit.

TAKE THIS CLASS. David is a great professor, he is very fun and is open to any ideas. We never used the book and the class is literally impossible to fail. He told us the first day if we came to class we'd pretty much be guaranteed a B. Only need to review for the tests, no real studying. By far the best class I have taken.

I would recommend David to anyone! He is very helpful and as long as you go to class he gives out bonus often.. Half way through the semester I had a 105%. Very easy class because he lectures only about what you're going to be tested on and will tell you exactly what to study!! Take him!

Probably the easiest A I've gotten, if enough people ask he'll post the slides online so you don't have to go to class. The test literally comes totally from the slides. If you study them it's pretty much impossible to fail. Super laid back about stuff. Can be entertaining, the 50 minutes goes by fast.

Dr Barrett's class was incredible. He didn't take any bias on any controversial issues, which makes for a fun, relaxed class setting. Attendance isn't mandatory, but encouraged because like 90-100% of his tests are writing. He even let me take the final early just because I asked if I could move it. Great class. I would take it again.

If you want to take an easy class, here you go. He is super funny, gets off topic, and will give reviews before exams to tell you what the questions on the test will be.

I have taken 6 semesters at the U of A and this was by far my favorite class... He basically throws all rules out the window and does whatever the heck he wants. Super funny, made me want to go to class even though it wasn't required. Easy grader and few assignments. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone.

TAKE! I was dreading taking philosophy & it ended up being my favorite class I've taken in college thus far. David creates a lax environment & doesn't take a stance on big arguments, so you never feel pressured or uncomfortable in class. I've learned to think critically & defendattack arguments really well without compromising any of my beliefs.

David Barrett by far has to be the best philosophy teacher at this university. He's young, he relates to you, and he is so so easy to listen to. Attendance is NOT mandatory and even if you don't go more than a couple times all semester, get the powerpoints on blackboard and you're sure to make an A. He's fantastic, absolutely no other way to go.

David is an amazing professor, he's young, relateable and easy going. The class is only three tests, but he gives you options between a MC or Essay test and they both are easy. His discussions are fun if you participate and bounce ideas off of each other. If you don't go to class , you can read the powerpoints and be fine. He also gives random EC.

Cool guy and good teacher. Gives you the option between a multiple choice tests and an essay one. Tests were a bit too specific considering the power point slides he gives us.

David is super laid back and easy to talk to. He posted his lecture slides online and allowed us to use them on exams which we took at home. He's pretty funny and talks a lot, so sometimes it's hard to get a word in, but when you do he'll definitely listen. We had two papers to write and three exams, but he was incredibly helpful about it.

David is a cool professor and you can miss like 9 classes and you can pass. Grades are all based on class and then tests. Super easy!

He's so easy. I went to class to answer the clicker questions but never really listened. GO TO THE REVIEW SESSIONS! they helped me a ton because he told you the whole format of the test and basically told you the questions on the test. love this man

David is a wonderful professor 10/10. He gives tons of extra credit opportunities and is always there to explain things. His test review sessions help very well, if you show up to those you will easily pass the tests.

You take three tests and that's it but they're essay based and easy if you at least try to put in effort. Attendance is a grade but he allows you 10 free misses between the class and the drill.

I took PHIL 2003 for the Fall Intersession period and loved having Professor Barrett! He was super cool, really relaxed, and easy to talk to. His grading was simplistic, but he knows when you're BSing so I recommend actually caring and showing up for his class. Definitely passed just fine but admittedly missed a few classes oops!

Barrett is all over a great professor. Hardly any homework or tests. Attendance is required but youll actually want to go to class. Also very willing to work with students on missing class or late assignments. He even said it was hard to not get an A in this class. I still recommend participating in discussions because they are very interesting.

Professor Barrett is easily one of the best professors I've had in my college career, if you're thinking about taking his class do it you won't regret it! All of the grades in class come from 3 papers and attendance points so you have to attend the lecture, there are no right or wrong answers to the questions though. Take him if you can!

I love this man. 100% recommend taking him. He does the clicker in class for a grade (participation) which is your homework grade in the class then the rest are papers. Which was 1 a month at most. He is so funny and can definitely start the conversation.

Most of the grades in this class are from attendance and papers, so you have to do good on the papers to make sure you keep a good grade. He grades the papers slightly hard but an A is still very possible. Very chill teacher and his lectures are so interesting

Absolute beast! He cares about his students and wants them to succeed. He is a super nice and funny guy and really cares about what he teaches. While I don't agree with some of his views that we discussed in class he is such a good professor and definitely one of my favorite or arguably my favorite professor I have ever had.

DAVID IS A HOMIE !! after three years of college I can confidently say this was my fav class & i'm sad to leave. lots of talking & goofing around. 10/10 sense of humor & 10/10 class content. even when we were learning I still had a great time because the class was engaging & interactive! 10/10 storytelling. thank you david for no tests!!

David is a really chill guy. He totally hated my friend and I in the back of the class but he put up with us and we had a great time the entire semester. He keeps class fun even while we learn. He's the bestest. Would take this class again.

He's hilarious and does an amazing job at keeping everyone engaged. There are a total of three papers that are extremely easy to write, they took me less than an hour. David Barrett has been my favorite professor in my first year at University of Arkansas.

Go to class and do the work. He is very funny and makes class enjoyable. If you need help email him or go to office hours and it is very helpful. Easy class but little to no extra credit.

This is the easiest class I have ever taken. We answered polls and I would always work on other homework during lectures. Drills are just the TA talking and we only had 3 papers all semester which were 1-2 pages and took me less than an hour to write. Not tough grading either as I made A's on all papers and the class average was always a A.

Professor Barrett was absolutely hilarious and I never dreaded attending his lectures. Your attendance points are almost your entire grade and you get the points by answering clicker questions in class. There are only a couple papers to write, but the topics are fun and the essay requirements are not long at all. Highly recommend!

I had Dr Barrett for intro to Philosophy and it was such an easy class. The whole class is him lecturing over interesting topics and then you use clickers to answer survey questions. Attendance is mandatory but you get excused absences and there is a ton of extra credit opportunities. There are no exams or assignments except three short "papers".

Very easy class. Only graded on attendance and three papers you write throughout the semester. Dr. Barrett is a chill and funny guy. Just make sure you go to the drills and lectures cause that makes up a lot of the grade.

Dr Barrett was a funny cross between being truly very knowledgeable in his course content (he has a phd in phil I think) and being overly relaxed with the language. He is no stranger to f bombs, but he'll drop them while still making sense. Don't neglect drill attendance, and put some effort into your essays, and it'll be a walk in the park.

If you get offended my cussing don't take his classes however, if you want a fun, easy to listen too, really funny professor this is the guy for you! His lectures don't even feel like lectures because of the clicker questions and deep convos you have. Easily the best professor i've had at the UofA

this is by far my favorite professor I have had. He is very interactive and is by far the funniest professor. His lectures are actually so interesting and he always keeps things very light and fun. The final was very easy but there were two different versions depending on which TA you had.

He's so funny and upfront about everything which I find hilarious, but also, he makes you think about the reasons why we believe some things. Overall, such an easy-going professor.

DB is an easy professor! All you have to do is attend class and answer survey-style clicker questions. Your grade will depend on which TA you get for drill. They are the ones teaching the more lecture-heavy material and administering exams.

Such a great professor. Highly recommend for anyone who is interested in the course. He is funny and I enjoyed going to class. Though the material was easy I did get confused on some of the expectations for some assignments. which resulted in a low grade. So if you're confused reach out and ask! I learned the hard way. I was genuinely looking forward to having him but due to it being a condensed summer class the lectures were by someone else but I did email professor Barrett several times . He was always kind, responded quickly and easily explained concepts I had difficulty with. I would most definitely recommend him

Absolute legend. He never gave us hard assignments, the whole class was him talking to us and making us watch videos and answering clicker questions for participation. Drill sucked because the TA took the class seriously, but Barrett was the best professor of all time. It was a great break to my other courses.
