I had Dr. Dave over 2 years ago. I miss him and the class.

dr. dave is a stud.

Good note taking, but what about the book?

Got kind of boring because it was 3 straight hours of lecture most of the time, but the homework is really easy and the tests aren't too bad either. READ THE BOOK though, there's a lot of stuff on his tests that's from the book and not from the lectures.

Dave Baskind was a great teacher. If you want a professor who is cares about his students and will take the time to help you this is the teacher for you. I have never enjoyed a class more than his. It may get boring but, this class is not hard to pass! :)

you guys are insane. dr. dave is one of the BEST teachers i've ever had. if you keep up on the work and pay attention in class, you'll ace it. i loved the class.

Dr. Dave is the BEST...it's simple, READ the material, DO the homework, LISTEN to the lectures. He doesn't brainwash, he teaches the material and is extremely helpful if you need it!

Dr. Dave is a good teacher. I had psychology in high school, and his class was more interactive than my high school class. He knows his information and he loves the subject, and he also provides the information in a clear, organized fashion.

Dr. Dave is easy going and relates to you as a PERSON, not a student, he talks to you like a human being, not acting like he is inferior to his students...tests are very difficult but lectures are interesting....

The best psychology pro. I've had. I suggest everyone take this class. Has great teaching techniques, good sense of humor, easy going, and is friendly.

Very good teacher...explains VERY well. I took the same class at SVSU and failed...I understood the exact same material in Dr. Dave's class and got a B!!! It shows what great teaching can do!

Good teacher, explains things well. Is interesting and is open to student discussion. Tests mainly over lecture notes, a couple from book (book very long-winded). Last hw assignment offers up to 50 extra credit pts. Sometimes, grading a little off.

Great professor and class!!! Dave is really organized and clear with what he is teaching. I took psych at a different school and failed with a D because my professor wasn't helpful ro clear. When I took it at Delta with Dave, I understood the material and passed with a B! Great teacher!

Honors Psych was a fairly easy class. Pay attention in class, take notes, and study, and you'll pass with flying colors. Dr. Dave is one of my favorite teachers here at Delta so far. He has so much enthusiasm, and is very helpful in class and outside of class. I was never bored once in this class.

Dr. Dave is really cool. I really enjoyed his class. As long as you take notes and study for tests and do you homework (there are only 4-5 assignments) you'll do fine. The hardest part about the class is the pamphlet. But even that's not too bad. Dr. D's awesome! You should take this class.

I took the high school version of this class and I still think I am gonna learn more then I did there. I've only been in Dr. Dave's class a week and a day but he seems like a great teacher so far.

Dr. Dave is a nice teacher, he really enjoys teaching. If you do EVERY assignment and read how to study in his course pack you will do fine. He is VERY picky thou. I would definately take another class.

I like the conversations in class, very interesting. However the grading system is not the best. Very picky with things. Not a whole lot of points offered. BE PREPARED TO TAKE LOTS OF NOTES! Tests cover wide range of chapters, lots and lots of info for just one test. Some extra credit offered. If I took psyc again I'd take it with someone else.

Dr. Dave is a great teacher. His lectures are at times a little dull, but he explains things very well and gives lots of examples. There are no surprises in this class- He tells you what you will be doing during the class period and ones upcoming as well. He doesn't pick favorites and he gives extra credit.

I like the class! The conversation is always insightful and fun. It's not too hard not too easy! i just really like it!

Dr. Dave is a really nice guy, and a good teacher. I think that psych is by nature a little dry -- it is science. I don't blame him for having a slightly boring subject. People who rate him poorly are, I suspect, afraid of homework and reading.

A solid teacher. Gives some wicked sweet lecture and helps when you need it. The hotness rating is deceptive, he's actually a good-looking guy. I'm convinced that he has the best non-celebrity 5 o'clock shadow. And if that doesn't win you over, his eyebrows are way above average.

He is a hard grader. I would never take him again. On the other hand he is very handsome.

smart teacher!! he knows what he is talking about, and is willing to help you in every way. You learn ALOT too! Dr. Dave is the way to go.

The information is easy to understand but his daily quizes can be difficult.

He is extremely nice and he knows his stuff. You will learn a lot and take a lot of notes. He does give attendence points so make sure you come. He only has 3 tests the whole sem. and no final. Also he assigns 14 homeworks in which you only have to do 8 of them. Make sure you read the book also, he gets test questions from there and your notes.

dr. dave is one of the best teachers ive had here at delta. he is SO infomrative. i learned SO much from him. if i could take this class over again i would. i learned the most from him. he gives easy homework and alot of quizzes but they help alot. i would recommend taking this class for sure. =]

I had Dr. Dave in Fall, & he is awesome. I recommend him to everyone. He teaches very well, & makes everything easier to understand. Very good clarity. He does care about his students, and offers help to everyone. He also provides review guides for the 3 exams, which are very helpful. Just make sure you keep up on the reading. DR. DAVE IS AWESOME!

Dr. Dave is a wonderful professor. I would recommend him to everyone that needs to take a psych class. To all the people that gave Dr.Dave bad scores: YOU were the one that earned a bad grade, that doesn't mean he's a bad teacher. It means youre lazy.

I recommend Dr. Dave to everyone who wants to learn psychology. He knows what he's talking about, and cares that his students learn. He gives you the course reviews, homework and expectations on day one. Who does that? If you don't learn something, and get a good grade in his class--it's all you!!

Very good teacher. Psychology is not an easy thing to learn, you have to work for your grade. He does his best to make it as easy to understand as possible. Basically, if you don't like working, don't like studying, and enjoy skipping class and expect a good grade, then this class isn't for you.

School just started and I am already so impressed with Dr. Dave. Of course psych isn't an easy course but he's been great about answering questions and explaining things. Being in his class has really helped me confirm that psychology is the major for me.

Does a lot if note taking. I honestly got an A in the class and never opened the textbook. Not much homework, but the guy is a little full of himself sometimes. If you pay attention in the class you'll be good.

Dr. Dave is easily the most chill dude I have ever met. Yes, the tests are harder, and there is a lotttt of notes, but if do what you are supposed to do anyway and put effort into his class, you'll get a B at least, no problem. Very highly recommend him, very good, very helpful teacher. Makes a lot of jokes too haha

Dr. Dave is a wonderful professor. I was nervous about taking psychology and an honors version of it, but if you do the work, listen to him, and read the text, you'll pass. He's willing to help no matter WHAT and I'd love to take another class of his. He's also pretty funny.

Great teacher. Lectures don't deal to much with tests.....you have to read the chapters or you wont get a lot of test questions. Overall a very easy class to take, not alot of homework....you choose which ones you want to do (8 out of 12).

I loved Dr. Dave. He is one of the most straight forward professors I've had. You know from day one every assignment and due date and all the study guides for the test. It does require some effort but it was not in the least taxing. I would highly recommend him. Super nice and personable!

Dr. Dave is a wonderful professor. His class was interactive, and so long as you did the work and read the assignments a 4.0 was very easy to earn. He actually seems to care about your development, and is always willing to answer questions. Long story short - if you pay attention and do the reading, you will do well. If not, you may struggle.

Love Dr. Dave I plan on taking him again whenever possible. The first day of class he came in and greeted you like you were old friends. I love Dr. Dave not to mention he's pretty good looking too!

Make the exams a bit easier

I loved this class! I took it over the summer. he was extremely helpful, easy to talk to, and was a great instructor! i highly recommend this prof. his homework was pretty simple and his grading scale was easy to follow, he also sent out emails periodically with your scores in the class which was very helpful!

Dr. Baskind was a very great instructor for my online class. There is quite a bit of reading with the book and notes, but the material is very interesting. Tests are quite hard, but if you study you will do great. He allows 1 page hand written notes during exams, so TAKE ADVANTAGE - this helps a lot. :) Overall good, funny, and helpful guy!

I took his online psychology course and I really liked him. He emailed every week, outlining what we needed to do for the week. His tests were quite difficult but he makes the tests fun. He is always there when and if you needed to ask any questions. I would definitely reccomend him.

David Baskind was a easy teacher to get along with and communicate with. His test are tricky, so be sure to study the test review he provides. His homework assignments are self explanatory and very easy. Overall Dave is a great guy, I would recommend him to anyone.

David Baskind was an awesome Psych teacher. In order to pass this class all you have to do is take the notes he puts on the over head, do the study guides, and study for a good 30 mins. His tests are VERY easy. A 7th grader could pass his test. He gives out homework assignments but only expects you to complete a few. Awesome guy I loved him.

I enjoyed my class with Dr. Dave. Since it was an online class there was a lot of reading, but that can be expected. I always felt like there was enough work for me to practice and understand, but I was never overwhelmed. It was a good balance. Tests weren't easy, but you were allowed to take in a page of notes which helped a lot.

Look, Dave is a great guy and one of the nicest individuals you will EVER meet. here's the low down... the class is not the easiest, you most definitely have to study; However if you are actually interested in psychology or are passionate about learning about it this is a great class, (can't miss class, each class has about a 1.5 hour leisure)

I absolutely loved taking honor's general psych with Dr. Dave!!! Many of his lectures were hilarious and the class is very interactive! We got to ask questions and share our input frequently. He emails back quickly. We had 5 HW assignments, 3 tests and a semester project. Lots of reading! He is a tough grader, but gives A LOT of feed back.

I like Dave as a person and think he is a very knowledgable, but I didn't love his class. I felt as though he was too focused on pregnancy and birth, instead of the psychology of children, which really struck me as odd. The tests were tough, but he does give extra-credit papers. There was a lot of class discussion as well, which I enjoyed.

Solid professor. Homework is fairly easy. you just write a page about the topic he gives you. Reading the textbook would be a great idea because not everything is covered in class. Everything is straight forward. attended class pretty regularly and you will be fine. He's a great guy.

Dr. Dave is very understanding if you take the time to come and talk with him. He tries to break up the longer class with breaks so we don't feel so overwhelmed. The examples he gives in class are easy to relate to and if you have trouble doing so he's more than willing to break it down further so you understand his point.

He expects you to read a lot, and his lectures always take up the entire class period. He was pretty thorough with his lectures, but has lots of info in them too.

Enjoyed the class, but you have to READ the chapters in order to pass the test because some things will show up on the test that wasn't in lecture, which does suck. Does offer extra credit. Make sure to carefully read rubrics for each homework (paper) assignment.

Dr. Dave goes through material pretty fast, but if you take notes and at least read the chapter summary of the textbook it should be easy to do well on quizzes. He's really easy to talk to and his lectures are easy to follow & pay attention to. PS--I only clicked the "hot" badge because Dr. Dave joked about it during class. Best professor at Delta!

Dr. Dave has been such a helpful professor. He stops to make sure everyone understands and is very approachable. Although you do get points for attendance, he lets you make things up late, or attend one of his other classes to receive your points. Tests and quizzes are hard, but if you do the reading and pay attention you will be fine! Fun lectures

Dr. Dave at first may seem tough... I started first few weeks with a low C and was gravely concerned, HOWEVER I landed an A by the last day of class. Dave is fair, genuine and willing to help with lots of external resources, if you want a little challenge and really want to understand the material, this class is for you. Dr. Baskind is a true vision of an informed and well educated professor. I learned important material in his classes without the problems of getting bogged down in unnecessary and droning lectures. Very engaging and outgoing as well. I personally recommend to spend less on the textbook (not used much in class) and focus on studying for his tests.

If you go to class and do your work you wont have a problem with him. He grades faster than any teacher I know and gives great feedback.

This class requires a lot of time and hard work. The tests are very difficult and if you are taking it online you have to go to the testing center and take them. He grades very quickly and always gives the opportunity to get points back on the discussions if you dont do so well the first time. Overall get ready for a lot of hard work!

I had Dr. Dave over the spring '19 semester, he was hilarious. Despite the class being entirely lecture, he made it fun. A few students in the class had mentioned either dropping or failing general psych. with other teachers and I noticed Dr. Dave really had those particular students focused. Participate - conversation keeps the class interesting.

He does assign chapters to read (but I only read chapter 1). He truly cares about you and your performance in the class, so don't be scared away.

Dr. Dave lectures a lot, but he makes it interesting and also includes activities to help learn the material. Before switching to online this semester, I didn't really read my book and did fine from just lectures, but it became mandatory to read each chapter online. He responds to emails quickly and is always willing to explain concepts in-depth.

Dr. Dave's class is entirely lecture-based, so don't take it if you dislike lectures. His lectures are thorough, clear, and very beneficial to me. He's very willing to help his students out in any way that he can. I didn't enjoy the projects in this class, but overall I learned a lot and I would definitely take one of his classes again.

You can tell Dave really cares about his students. We had a book in his class, and I mostly used it for tests. You will have to work for a good grade, but don't let that scare you. He's willing to help.

Dr. Baskind made a spring/summer class very easy & enjoyable. His class is very lecture heavy, but he makes them interesting & memorable. He encourages student participation & was always respectful. He makes comments on almost every part of the assignments, so you know exactly what you did right & wrong. He offers weekly extra credit opportunities.

Dr. Dave is a wonderful professor. Every day agenda was posted for review reminding us when assignments were due. Lectures matched exams.Students allowed to bring notes for exam. Gave good feedback & allowed me to bounce ideas off of him. I received a well-rounded introduction to discipline of psychology. I would recommend this professor to anyone.

Dr. Dave was great! I normally don't like lectures but his were interesting. We had a lot of class discussions, which were great. It a tough class though. Be prepared to read the chapters and study quite a bit. Make sure you take good notes, they will be very helpful! And participate in class, he really likes that, and it makes the class more fun.

I took this class online and did very well. One thing to note if you are taking his class, be prepared to spend a lot of time reading the textbook and TAKE NOTES. I really enjoyed the class and thought Dr. Dave was a great professor. He can be a tough grader at times but he provides several extra credit opportunities to make up for points.

This class put a lot of things into perspective for me and I enjoyed attending every time. Tests, in my opinion, were very easy and reflected what was both in the book and what was taught in lecture. I appreciated the respect for students and the depth of information that was taught. If you invest time into this class, you will get good results.

Dr. Dave is an engaging lecturer who makes the material interesting. The coursework is challenging but manageable with consistent effort. The textbook is essential, and using unstuck study for practice quizzes really helped me stay on top of the material.
