This prof. is great! He gives you all the tools you need and is very clear on what is expected. When you have a science class this hard, it's good to know that your prof. is in your corner. I highly recommend him. If you study hard, you can get an "A" from him!

You want to learn, take this teacher!! He is a very good instructor but he is tough. If you study you will pass with a good grade but do not think you can slack off cause you are in the wrong class. I recommend him!!!!

This prof knows how to teach and makes Anatomy a fun class. Make sure you study from the handouts he gives and you will get an A. He prepares you with a solid ground of biology for Bio 261 which is a physiology taught by Carol Cook another great instructor take him.

This class is tough. A lot of info to take in but he helps you through it. Use his handouts & I suggest to tape his lectures. I would also advise to "take the cat home" when you are studying for his exams.

I took his class in the summer of 2007 and this teacher knows his stuff! He gives you every tool you need to pass his class. He even had his lectures written out on the "online blackboard" word for word. If you can't pass his class, it's because 1) you weren't going to class or 2) you didn't take the time out to study. This teacher is crystal clear

Dr. Bastedo was a great and very helpful teacher, one of my favorites.

Very good Teacher keeps learning fun. Every handout he gives will be related to his quizzes or test. I printed everything he had on blackboard and it helped alot.

For the Hybrid class you need to know: Each week there is a 10 min. quiz or a 1 hr test. Then a SHORT lecture, and all other time is strictly cat lab. 90% of learning is on your own time and you must organize yourself! Study handouts and book & DON'T try to cram! Take your cat home!!! Mr. B wants you to succeed. I got an A - you can too!

he is the bestest. I took his antomy class after i droped it ones(another teacher) and it felt like i was taking a complitly diffrent subject. he even has audio lectures on balackboard and you can keep up with your grade as well. he is grate but the key to pass anatomy is to study, study, study...even when you're asleep dream about it.

He is a very good teacher, He works with you and he is very kind hearted. This class you need to study picture and then apply them to the lecture if you dont do that you will be lost. But for the most part it's memorization mainly. I love him.

This was probably the best class I've taken in college so far. This teacher is very challenging, but it is a rewarding course. He makes every effort to work with students to address their needs and present the material in as organised and clear a manner as possible. I highly, highly recommend taking anatomy with this teacher.

He is a great teacher,. He runs the class great and is always there for help. It is a lot of work but if you take his study tips the class is a breeze.

Love Professor Bastedo. His teaching is very high quality; he cares about his students' progression and gives you tips to studying. He posts lectures on Blackboard to go back and review which comes in handy in a class like this to understand everything you need to learn. This is a hard class but you can do good if you study and listen to his lectur

Dr. Bastedo is a great teacher who truely wants his student to be prepared for the nursing field. the class is overall very detailed and hard if you dont study! So study things in and out. I would always take him!

You can never go wrong with this guy! One of the best professors I had ever had. Even if I got a C in this class I would still be proud that I took it with him. His class is definitely tough and I studied almost everyday but my hard work paid off. He wants you to be successful and he will work with you! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Thank you for everything!

I have never taken a class with this much homework. I love the class and Bastedo is outstanding with helping the students organization skills. It is hard, however.

Bastedo is very Helpful! Teacher will go out of his way to help you. He uses blackboard to check your grade. It is mostly memorization. Its anatomy, so you have to study and go to all the labs! Overall I like him and would take him again if I had too. Homework is usually finishing the labs.

I LEARNED SO MUCH IN THIS CLASS!! ITS A LOT OF STUDYING BUT HARDLY NO HOMEWORK, COOL LABS, I DEF RECCOMMEND HIM IF YOU WANT TO BE PREPARED FOR THE NURSING PROGRAM. NICE PROF, AND VERY HELPFUL, TESTS ARE HARD BUT EVERYTHING COMES DIRECTLY FROM TEXT/NOTES/HANDOUTS WORD FOR WORD. ALL MEMORIZATION

Professor Bastedo is the best professor I have met. He clearly does not need any more praise but his professionalism is comendable. His teaching style is clear and concise.I really appreciate his hard work and effort. This professor is a really big asset to his field. He actually teaches you to become a better student and learn how to fish.

Loved his class, so helpful

I was at first wary about taking the hybrid class since I'd be out of school for about five years. It turns out it was the best way I've ever taken a class. All lectures were online so I was able to watch, pause, skip any lecture I wanted. Anything I didn't understand I brought it up during class time and he was more than eager to explain.

Prof. Bastedo gives you all the tools you need to succeed in this class. I learned more in this class than all my BIO classes I've taken. You MUST put aside time EVERYday to study/review for this class. With a little hard work and encouragement from Prof. Bastedo I was able to pull of an A. I was by far the hardest A I've ever worked for in my life

He was very clear and made learning fun. He gave learning tips and tools to use. He would give us resources to look up online, or allow us to come in on days that class was not being held. We could take some of the bones and specimens out to study on our own time.

The material is difficult only because there is so much of it, but Mr. Bastedo is an amazing teacher! He goes out of his way to help and is very kind and willing to do it! He wants you to succeed!

This was a VERY tough class, but Prof Bastedo worked every bit as hard as I did to make it as easy as possible. He is professional, caring, and hard working. I liked how quickly he grades assignments too...within hours. All learning materials and aids are online for continuious reference which was a big help.

He has everything you need to pass online (written lectures, power points, pictures, and also regular lectures through iTunes university), This class just requires a lot of your time to study. There is so much that you need to memorize but he is always there to help. No surprises on the tests either. Amazing teacher

Mr. Bastedo is great! His teaching style is amazing. He makes everything a cake walk. He has no accent which is a major plus and he knows his stuff. You have to be willing to put forth an effort of corse but he gives you all the info you need to know in order to pass. He even gives great advice on studying and how to make these things relevant 2 u.

Professor Bastedo is a great instructor. I honestly learned more in this class than all my others combined, and i'm at about 28 credits as of now. This class is not hard if you study.DO NOT PROCRASTINATE! I would always cram, if not im sure I would've done alot better. This class also taught me how to be a better student. Professor Bastedos really teaches on how to be a better student. He is very organized with all his curriculum and lectures. The subject is time consuming but professor gives you everything you need to study well for quizzes and exams. The final is easy to prepare for. It's made up of all the exams put together. i highly recommend him.

Best human anatomy teacher. There's no reason to fail his class unless you dont study of course. He has all the notes and videos of every chapter and he also breaks things down. He's also a resemble teacher as well if you miss any days of the test or quizes He'll let you make them up another day. I recommend you take him with no dont.

Great professor, but be ready to work. A lot of memorization. Don't be lazy and study an hour a day and you'll be fine. My two lab partners failed because they never studied and they thought he was too hard. Note that they were 18. He gives you all the material and he has all his lectures on YouTube.

I already have a Bachelor's Degree and I think Mr. Bastedo is one of the best teachers I have ever had. He prepares you for every test/quiz so there are no surprises about what to expect. The class requires quite a bit of memorization but the way he explains the material is top notch! GREAT TEACHER!!! Take him!!!

Amazing teacher!! Anatomy is not an easy class, but prof. Bastedo helps students break things down & make everything so much easier! He is always willing to help. This class requires a lot of time, but it is manageable. Study a little everyday & you'll be fine! No surprises on quiz or tests!Lectures are all on blackboard & YouTube.

This is a class that requires a lot of memorizing and he makes this class so easy. Very patient with students and is always willing to help you. He provides you with lots of slides and videos to get an A on the tests and quizzes. Just put in the effort and show up to class. He made this course very interesting!

He is awesome! He really cares about his students. First couple quizzes and first test was easy because he told you exactly what would be on it. It gets a little harder later on in the semester but this course was overall great. He made it easy and I love the way he explains things. Take him! It won't get easier. And you use a free textbook!

Professor Bastedo really cares about his students and he really knows his stuff. I never felt afraid to ask him anything and he practically tells you what to study for so if u don't pass, it's clearly YOUR fault. Taking this class online I believe is what made it harder than it should have been. His written test questions tend to be tough and tricky. He grades fairly on practical exams and labeling quizzes when you show an effort and get fairly close to the right answer. Id never recommend taking this class or him online to anyone.

Bastedo gives so many tools to help students pass. You just need to put in the effort. I started off with a D and ended up with a B because I got my act together before it was too late. He is very informative and breaks things down well.

OVERALL GREAT PROFESSOR TONS OF MEMORIZATION QUIZZES ARE SUPER EASY AND TEST AS WELL IF U STUDY THE MATERIAL, THERE ARE NEVER NO SUPRISES ON EXAMS

He is a very good teacher and knows his stuff. Don't take hybrid unless science is your subject. He gives you outlines of what you need to know, but it is a lot. Hybrid lectures were very long. Tests and practical were long and tough. Free online book. Don't take the once a week class, not enough time to cover material. Quiz every single class.

This is an amazing teacher. He is very helpful and wants you to pass. He loves when students so him and am questions, so don't be afraid to ask. He is so awesome I wish I could have taken him with me to my next class. That's how great he is. He even showed us how to study a little.

AMAZING! Best teacher I have ever taken at Valley. He gives you everything you need to pass the class and is unconditionally encouraging. You will need to study hard and put the time in but it is worth it. If you want to be in the medical field, you must take him!

He is an amazing teacher. You need to be on your toes from the first day of the class to pass it as it is expected since the course is wide and a lot to read and remember.

Understanding and easy to work with. He's flexible with his hybrid class and will let you make up work in his other classes. He is very clear with what will be on tests, just a lot of memorization.

Bastedo is a phenomenal teacher! He gives you EVERYTHING you need to get an "A" in the class, but you must make the time to study HIS lectures, pictures, videos, and participate during all lab activities. His grading criteria is more than fair and extra credit is available at the end of the course. He can be strict in some ways, but respectable.

David is the best teacher I've ever had. He is straightforward with what you need to study, giving you examples of the kinds of questions that will be on the test and quizzes. There is A LOT of information because it is Human Anatomy! So if you have bad study habits or don't study, you will struggle in the class.

Bastedo is an amazing Prof well respected lets you know what exactly you need to know this class is not hard but you do need to be able to learn A LOT of information (names) in shorts amount of time. if you like to procrastinate YOU WILL NOT do well in his class. *beware of the lower limb exam* use his ebook! as he tells u only what u need to know

Great Prof. Lots of opportunities to earn points outside of exams with lab activities that help you learn concepts for quizzes and exams. Lectures and Lab are very thorough and taught so that you don't feel like you're taking two separate courses at once. This course is very challenging and will push you to study your hardest. Don't skip a day.

Prof. Bastedo is an awesome anatomy teacher. The class I took was hybrid so there was a tons of studying. His class is very organized. The YouTube lectures are very long but everything on his lecture are on the tests. 3 practicals and make sure you study upper and lower limb. Be prepared to remember all the muscles and vessels. Didnt need the book

Anatomy is hard to begin with, but he makes it much easier to learn the material. He does everything available to him to help you succeed in his course. He posts all of his power points on canvas, all the handouts used in the class, and uploads videos of his lectures. He's a quick grader so you will never have to ask what your current grade is.

Took this anatomy class as a hybrid & that was my first mistake. My second & biggest was not realizing the importance of his online lectures. In the hybrid class there is no lecture. Do not miss lab. However Professor Bastedo is amazingly caring & will go above and beyond to help you achieve the best grade possible. Ask him for note taking tips.

Professor Bastedo was such an amazing & challenging teacher. I took his Human Anatomy hybrid course and let me tell you it was not easy. He tells you from the beginning how it's going to be. Believe him! My advice is to study everyday and Do Not wait until the week of the test to study because there is way to much info. Watch the YouTube lectures.

Anatomy is a very heavy, tedious subject to learn. But with this professor, he made the material straightforward and had a strategy to help his students learn the human body in the easiest way possible. He's also a very caring professor that gives pep-talks before/after exams because he wants you to succeed that much (and for feedback).

Anatomy is not easy but Bastedo offers all the material needed to get an A & to really learn & retain it . He is very well organized both online & on campus . Put in the time, use all the resources he provides & communicate. Thank you professor Bastedo, the rest of these professors should take notes from you on how to organize an online course !

Very passionate about Anatomy, you will learn a little physiology but this is all for good benefit, if you can answer his objectives you will do well on his exams, he is very answer specific so follow his handouts, his lectures are well thought out so no textbook is necessary, he provides the needed material in order to obtain the grade u deserve!

This class was asynchronous and during Covid-19, so classes were online only. The professor didn't require a textbook, but it was highly recommended. Just get the textbook and anatomy coloring book it helps a lot. You have to constantly review and memorize. No homework, big on tests. Study groups really help. Go to tutoring, you will do fine.

Bastedo is very passionate about anatomy. Its a tough course highly recommend study groups. No textbook but encourages outside text and guides. Always read a question twice on quizzes and exams. Be open to different studying habits. You will learn about physiology. Lecture in videos and word doc use both to your advantage.

Great professor, he gives so many chances to make a good grade. There is a quiz or test on alternating weeks and the quiz is easy if you do your part to study. He tells you what will be on the quiz so that's really free 10 or 20 points if you study. The lectures are pretty straight forward. I would highly recommend this professor.

he is pretty straightforward. Everything here memorize abjectly what it is. I did my 3rd & 5th exam bad but make over with my other test and extra credit. Also getting full marks in lab & quizzes helped me a lot.
