David is an incredible addition to the Psychology dept. of Tomball College.He uses slides that you can download before class to follow his lectures. You must read the book chapters and know the material from the slides.He grades fairly.Get a study group together to enable you to make an A.Do not procrastinate on your studies.He is hard but good.

I had to drop for other reasons, but he was such a good teacher. The class was hard, but as long as you keep up and study you will do fine. He really tries to put his students at ease as far as testing goes.

awesome course! mini mester; bought the book, barely used it. slides are always a plus! pay attention in class & you won't have to study much. everything is fair game. study & you will do fine. short papers, small quizzes, miniture exams :) PS if you DONT like sarcasm, i suggest you NOT take the class.

LOVE HIM. His sarcasm is awesome, sometimes his jokes are like what..? but beside that fact, his happy fun time quizes are easy if you study. his MEDC's are cool too, you get to do them in groups. homework assignments aren't hard, just dont procrastinate. overall he gets a 10+++

He's a cool teacher. I thought his test were hard, there's a lot of information you need to know for them(everything on the slides). The first one was over 100 questions and the others were about 80 questions. But despite that it was a pretty cool class and i thought everything was very interesting. Just dont procrastinate with your studies!

Weird sense of humor. Tests EVERYTHING from his PP. Gives xtra cr quizzes which u take in groups.If you really study for those extra credit quizzes, you'll do fine on the happy fun-time quizzes. Research pprs are easy. Just study study study and you'll do fine. I got an A.

I took Dr. Beaulieu for General Psych online this summer. His online class is great because all you have to do is print out the notes and read over them.His tests come straight from the notes. It is an easy A as long as you take all of the tests by the deadlines that he gives. His class was super easy, and I learned a lot.

Dr. Beaulieu is an amazing teacher! The class is hard but he is extremely informative and fair. If you pay attention to lecture and the slides provided you will be successful! I did not purchase the book and because of his clarity achieved an "A". He is a funny and relates lecture examples to real life situations which I found very helpful.

Took this class online and it went beautifully. Really, all of the stuff on the tests and quizzes comes straight from the power points. His tests are a mixture of short answer, multiple choice, etc. but nothing like huge essays. I learned a lot from this class and it was very easy to keep up with along with my other classes.

He is a really great teacher. If you print out the PDF notes and do all the assignments it is an easy class. I took it online and my only complaint is we had to go to an assessment center to take the tests. He also took a while to respond back and post grades. Great teacher!!!

No Textbook. Print out his Pdf and learn. He talks a little fast since we have to cover a lot of things. Quite easy with Team Quizzs,Multiple choice test. Easy assignments: 4 summaries. It is easy for me who is not quite interested in Psychology.

His class was very interesting. I ended up changing my major to psychology. He is very funny, his tests are over the lectures and slide shows he gives. If you listen and pay attention you will pass his class for sure. Im definately going to take his again next semester for 2314.

Very funny person, keeps a boring subject interesting. He has a modern style of teaching that is geared for the younger student without alienating older students. quizzes are fairly hard, but the exams are fair. Do all the work that's required and you will easily pass his class with a good grade.

I can't believe all the positive reviews this guy gets. I think he is one of the worst teachers I've had, and I'm at like 75 hours with 3.97 GPA. I'm taking an online statistics class from him and it's ridiculous - he does not respond to emails, makes lots of mistakes on his powerpoints, slow to grade - just awful - for online statistics at least!

I've taken lifespan (2314) and I'm currently taking statistics, I wish I had taken intro with him. He is an awesome professor, I highly recommend him.

NOT a good choice for online class. He does not give a review for any of his quizzes and although it is a 100% online course you still have to take the quizzes at a assessment center. Too much information to remember for the quiz. Doesn't answer emails, would not recommend this teacher!

Great course! I really enjoyed being in this class. He has a good knowledge of research and it shows when he answers in-class questions. I really feel that I learned a large amount of information in such a short amount of time.

I absolutely loved taking Dr. Beaulieu! So enthusiastic about it, always has funny comments prepared to keep you paying attention. Just use the provided slides from lectures to study with & you'll get good grades. Only a handful of homework assignments that were plain easy. Just got to study for the tests/midterm. I highly recommend this teacher!

He is sooo awesome! We had a dumb kid in our class and he always made him look so dumb (which was hilarious)... Has funny remarks and is clear on everything. Extra credit quizzes are awesome!! Tests are the ones you gotta watch out for... Overall not that hard, gives you everything in powerpoints, not textbook/readings. RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!

He makes the class less complicated by which I mean replaces quiz or test names that causes tension. Speaks quickly, has an unprecedented sense of humor, and often glares at the time. Questions during lectures will cause your class to fall behind, so I advise to keep it yourself unless he questions his clarity. Papers are rough, but will be fun.

I took his online class and it was pretty easy if you kept up with the work. There were two times when I was not able to turn something in on time and he was very forgiving. There is no way to fail this class unless you just don't try at all.

David is a very entertaining prof. He really makes learning fun and you want to come to class. He moves pretty fast through thecourse material and there is a lot to learn. This class has changed my whole perspective on things.

This statistics class is HARD. He tests off of his power points. I did not use the book once. He gives you everything you need to know. He had us do 54 little assignments total (due weekly), 6 mini quizzes total and 3 big exams that took 2 hours each. You must go to the campus for the big exams.

The class is easy. I took it Summer 2012. Everything is well planned and thought out and prof will give you help if need it. I made over a 100 in this class and it did not consume all of my time. Dr. B is a great teacher if you need this class take it!

Dr. Beaulieu puts alot of time and effort into his students. He responds to e-mails quickly. I usually hate math classes, but I really enjoyed this one. Dr. Beaulieu is awesome. He is very entertaining in lecture. He covers a lot of information in the class so studying is imperative. He made psychology seem so interesting that I was sad when the class was over. This class isn't an easy A, you must study to do well because he covers so much. He is helpful in explaining material if you just ask.

DO NOT TAKE THIS GUY. His lectures are boring and he turns off the lights so if it's a morning class, good luck staying awake. His tests are insane for a basic psych class. Have to memorize all of his slides (about 70 per test). Definitely over the top for an intro class to a subject most of his students will not pursue.

Dr. B is fun (the opposite of boring). This is intro psych and not remedial psych., so expect to work for your grade. He has a lot of slides but they are mostly pics. As long as you are able to a read a children's book you should be ok. He seems to assume students are psych majors but that is b/c some of us are (or become one after taking him).

Dr. Beaulieu is a good teacher. He's nice to look at, is funny and truly cares about his students. He will help you if you are having trouble in the class. He is very nice! The only thing I don't like is he turns off the lights during lecture, because it makes me sleepy. He also emails back very quickly which is really good. GREAT Professor!

No Textbook, powerpoint lectures hard to follow, frequently went on tangents. Grades not posted in angel have to ask or get after exams. No test reviews, exams were challenging. The course itself I enjoyed, but not as organized as I hoped. It would take a lot of personal determination to succeed in this class, not an easy A.

Studied hard and have been making below average grades in this course.

Dr. David was awesome! The first time I took Psych I got a D, and then I took it online over the summer, and got a much better grade. Sometimes, I even got confused of the testing center times, and he always was helpful and understandable. TAKE HIM!

He was awesome! He was nice, smart, and funny. His examples, when I would read his Power Points at home, would make me laugh out loud and there was a lot of laughter in class as well. I would take him again. He had extra credit and it's very easy to get an A in his class.

Granted he is funny but that only goes so far. Wasted $ on a book he never used.He kinda has a monotone voice. Reads straight off the PowerPoints. He got behind in his syllabus It got so bad He dropped a test which made everything worth so much more. Dr. David is a fun instructor. I had no idea what psychology was going to be like before taking this class. I thought it was going to be an easy A, but this class is anything but easy. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DAVID

I took David for both Intro and Lifespan. Of the two, Lifespan is much easier. We spend a lot more time on each topic and students talk more about their life experiences which can slow down the class.

Class was easy to understand. More interested in Psychology after taking this class. He does extra credit quizzes that are hard but can only help your grade. I made Cs and Bs on the test and still got a 93 in the class. Show up for class, do the writing assignments and study for the tests. He is very helpful and wants you to do well.

Great teacher and always works with you! class was interesting and fun. Encourages to have open discussion on the topics in class. The book was never used since the provides all the material information that you are going to be use in class. Just read his handout sheets that he posted D2L ,listen and participate in class and you will pass.

He is a nice guy, but this class was just way to much. He gives you 6 chapters in a week or sometimes more. I am an A student and I have never failed a class until now. I have a D in psych really? I found that his test answers never match the questions, even if you look it up in your book the answer is never what it should be. RUN!!!

Good professor and willing to help. Difficult tests but also provides curve if needed depending on class average. Would suggest taking lecture class over online.

Dr. Beaulieu is very patient with students but also firm. You MUST read or you will not pass the quizes or the exams. There has be a lot of memorization for the exams as there are several "essay" type questions that could fail you on the exams if you're not prepared. Questions will come from the material he provides for you and from the text book.

His lectures are really long and kind of boring. His reviews didn't match the tests and his assignments are put to check for plagiarism. I've never failed a class before but I failed his, most of his lectures went in one ear and out the other. I would suggest another professor.

Was nervous to take Psychology, but Dr. Beaulieu made it a great semester! Be warned that there is a lot of memorizing for tests, but he posts study guides online to help you prepare, & the powerpoints from lectures! Lots of extra credit - my overall grade was a 110. Papers are graded fairly easy! Not an Easy A, but doable if you work for it!

Explains the lecture clearly. He is willing to answer any and all questions you may have. Sometimes he's funny. The tests aren't that bad as long as you study. He gives you a study guide and as long as you can answer those questions, you'll make an A on the test.

Great Professor! All of his notes are on D2L, so you do not have to come to class! He gives you a study guide for every test and they are very helpful! As long as you study the reviews for the test you will pass the class! He is very sarcastic! You do not need a textbook

Took as an online course. He is very clear in his expectations and very organized. He gives a guideline for when your work should be completed, but still allows you to work at your own pace. He makes the content very easy to understand.

Just got done taking him for an online class, shorter semester. He was great. His powerpoints were VERY PRECISE. The only use of the book was for assignments that were for practice and not graded. GREAT COMMUNICATION. I emailed him about 10 times during the class and he literally responded within 5 minutes. Overall GREAT TEACHER. I made an A.

I took this class for Summer 4weeks. The power point lessons are very interesting with lots of examples and pictures, made it so easy to understand material. Tests are straight from the power point. He is an easy grader. It is not possible to fail this class!

He is hilarious in class and really gets the class engaged this way. He lectures really fast though, so if you have a hard time with that I would not suggest him. He has pretty tough tests. I am really good with Psych and I made low B's on his tests. He doesn't give a comprehensive final though. The final is the last 3 chapter lectures.

I wasn't sure if I would be able to complete statistics online. But I can say I did it. The power points are clear, sometimes you need to take additional notes. If you are organized you will do well.

Doesn't use the book. All test are based off his slide shows, which he explains in depth each concept in class. Offers the slideshows on D2l to print. Study the slide shows, do the projects (they're easy), and you'll make an easy A. Very great at explaining the human development process, I could relate every teaching to a person I met in my life.

His online class is super easy! Everything is available at the start of the semester so if you are the kind of person that like to speed through work then this class is for you. The tests were pretty though, but if you study the lectures (powerpoint form) he gives you there shouldn't be an issue. He has a great attitude and makes you feel like we are all buddies. Don't waste your money on the book; you won't use it!! Just study the powerpoints and you will easily pass his tests. But he makes you work for it; he is a tough grader on tests especially on the short answer questions. He offers extra credit opportunities but is also a tough grader on those. He's great! I loved going to class because he made everything relevant and interesting. You have to write 4 APA-style papers, but they're short and easy and he is a fair grader. He has all of his PowerPoints online, so attendance is not mandatory, but I went anyways. He always reviews before the tests. Take notes!

Took the 3 wk online class. Content heavy. 30-40 homework assignments. 3 tests. 6 bonus quizzes. Quizzes & tests don't have enough time to complete. The PowerPoints (lectures) were pretty straightforward for the most part. Do not slack if you take this class!
