He makes class very interesting, especially from the forensic point of view and this is from a person who doesnt like science at all. Look forward to watching CSI at least once a week.

Organic chemistry is not known for being easy. There is no doubt you must study but boatwright works hard to make sure you understand what you are doing. He is always there to answer your questions. He takes class time to work problems

amazing teacher, funny guy, incredible benefits, you watch CSI almost half of the semester, finished off with a 99 in the class. take Boatwright if you know what is good for you. seriously, if you don't, there is something wrong with you.

This class is a very fun and easy A. He gives loads of bogus test questions[EX. What color shirt was he wearing on some day(he tells you it is a question in advance)]. This guy is really funny and a really great teacher. i strongly recommend his classes.

This professor has definitely toughened his organic class. He's a pretty good professor and willing to help, but his tests are insanely hard. I compared notes with a previous student of his, and he has apparently made his organic class 10x as hard lately. I studied extremely hard all semester long and only made a D in here.

i love himmmmmmmmmmm....he is the koolest teacher ever. He tries to be funny but the fact is he is not which makes it more funny. he makes stuff easier for you and his class was the reason which made me change my major to CHEMISTRY :)

This is a very difficult course. the only good thing aboutit is that your workshop and lab grades can help your average. he helps you if you want it. but you still might fail because his test are tricky, BUT he gives the best curves any of my teachers have ever given.

He is a great lab professor! He knows that 3 hours for lab is just as stupid as we all do! He explains everything, we do it and leave! He tries to be funny which of course makes the class much more enjoyable!

I was dreading Introductory Chemistry and it's turned out to be one of, if not my favorite, class this semester! Read the book, study powerpoints, take online quizzes, and go to class. We watch CSI all the time and he gives out answers when nobody's there. Tests are fair. You will really learn so much about forensics. Very interesting! Take it!

He teaches Chem from a forensics viewpoint and its so interesting and fun! Lectures every other class and watches CSI. Tests are from the power points and the final questions are the exact same from previous tests. Study your old tests!

Great teacher this comes form a person that loathes Chem. he has a good sense of humor... test are alright, makes you feel stupid when he goes over them for making idiotic mistakes, but dont worry he curves YES!!!! do the assinged problems and ask questions they help... just give some effort...

I love Dr. B he is the only chemistry teacher i will take, from 1211- organics..!! i reccommend him to everyone!

He is a great teacher. I took him for forensics and Chem 1211. He is very helpful and his test are exactly what he goes over in class, but he will throw in definitions from the book. Attendance is mandatory because he gives clicker questions everyday that count toward your grade. Labs are very easy. I will be taking him again for 1212.

I took him for Gen Chem I, and absolutely loved him. Fun class, you really get to learn chemistry and like it. I'm taking Hansen for Gen Chem II and I'm absolutely hating it. More than half dropped in Hansen's. TAKE BOATRIGHT by all means possible. He's a really nice man too. Helpful and funny.

LOVED HIM HE GETS TO THE POINT OF WHATS ON THE TEST. MAKES THE CLASS INTERESTING, I HAD HIM FOR A CRIMINOLOGY COURSE AND HE EVEN LET US WATCH CSI FOR ONE CLASS. HE GIVES HINTS FOR THE TEST AND PREPS YOU REALLY WELL FOR HE TEST. TAKE HIM HES GREAT

Great teacher. Doing the online homework and going to workshops really help with the tests, it is not necessary to read the textbook but you need it to show you how to work problems. Do well on labs, workshops, and clicker questions and thats 50% of your grade. Good teacher and easy as long as you put in a little effort.

Dr. B is an awesome CHEM Professor! He has helped me with a lot in my earlier CHEM years. He is a respectable man of honesty and faith and I look up to him! I recommend him to everyone!

Professor Boatright puts u in the mind of Professor Snape. He has a deep voice and kind of has a wall up. However, he is more than willing to help u with chem! I managed to obtain a "B" in his class! Now u gotta bring it to get the grade that you want in his class. Btw, if u want to have an amazing conversation with him, just mention SPIDER-MAN!:D

Dr. Boatright is the best chemistry teacher at UWG. He is an excellent professor and strives to help you learn and do well in the class. Be in class on time for the clicker q's (they add up). He reviews for the exams. Dr. B is a great person and has a good heart. I still go for him for help with classes or just for advice. Take him!!!

Dr. Boatright is the absolute best professor I've had at UWG! He always has office hours available for you and is more than willing to help whenever you need it. I even went to him for help with my organic chemistry well-after I had his 1211 and 1212 class! He explains things clearly and never gets frustrated with you. He's just fun to be around!!

He is an absolutely amazing professor. He's straightforward and easy to understand, and on top of that he's really funny too. There are clicker questions, so attendance is required, but he tends to basically give you answers for maybe half of the questions anyway. He's my favorite professor here at UWG by far.

Dr. Boatright is one of the best teachers I have ever had. I CHANGED MY MAJOR FROM BIOLOGY TO CHEMISTRY BECAUSE OF HIS CLASS. He speaks so concisely on the subject and is extremely understandable. YOU YOULD BE CRAZY NOT TO TAKE HIM. He is extremely funny and doesn't try to be, which makes it even funnier.

LOVE boatright. He's so sweet and so helpful. There was 5 tests including the final. If you miss a test, the final replaces the grade. And the final was curved 26 points for us. There was hw every week. Study, study study AHEAD of time! I got a B but it wasnt easy getting it.

I took Boatright for Chem 1211 and 1212. It's a tough class, but he's an amazing professor. He's super helpful, but you have to go see him in his office or ask for help. I got a B both semesters, an 89.2 for the first one, but you work for what you get. Welcome to college.

He had Clicker questions and you never know when he's going to ask them and if you're not there you get a 0 for attendance that day and it adds up! Boatright is a great choice for chem. He is very clear in his expectations. He tells you exactly what to do to get good grades in his class an on assignments. & hes funny and sarcastic. Tests are mostly multiple choice with like 5 open answer questions. COME TO CLASS. participation can be the difference between an A or a B in the class.

DO NOT listen to all of the reviews saying "he is a terrible teacher" or "has no respect for students". He is by far one of the best professors I have had at UWG. Chemistry is a hard course so you will have to study. If you can do the homework you will make A's on the tests. He is also very good about responding to emails. Good office hours too.

Dr. Boatright is awesome! He makes sure you actually understand the material. I have had Boatright for general chemistry, organic chemistry, and forensic chemistry. It is true he is sarcastic but his sarcasm is funny (not his jokes). His office hours are very helpful! Great all around professor (sometimes counselor , haha) I totally recommend!!!

Boatright was a great lab professor. He was willing to help everyone whenever they had a question. He was always willing to help even outside of his office hours. I am taking him again for 1152 lecture.

Boatright teaches at UNG even though this says West Georgia. I had him for chem lab and he was really easy. As long as your group does well on Tophat and lab work you'll be fine. There is a TA that helps out too. Just show up and you'll be fine. I had no idea what I was doing the whole year and got a 94 in the class. Don't hesitate to ask for help!

I took Boatright my first semester to complete one of my core sciences, and enjoyed his class. The clickers he mentions in the syllabus are a must if you want to do well in the class, as he has lecture questions almost everyday. His tests are not terribly difficult, and he is a very fair grader. I would definitely recommend him for CHEM 1211.
