If you have trouble seeing how math is done from a book then this is the teacher for you. He explains math(meaning not the way they show you in a book where its only done in your head) in ways you can see it and provides you with many tools to help you through the class. I have never had a better math teacher ever in my life.

He shows such an interest in ecology and it shows in his teaching. He seemed to inspire many of my classmates (including myself) to get up and DO something to help our salmon. It's super easy to get an A in his class, as long as you go above and beyond expectations. Probably one of my favorite teachers ever.

i took a high school global issues class. he counted attendance, if u do all the work and participate in class, u can get 3.0, he gives extra credit works too; overall, not bad

This class was so fun! Going outside to look at the stars and writing down out observations was amazing. David is extremely clear and definitely knows the night sky. It's a true shame that he won't be teaching this class anymore. Once again and amazing quarter with him.

Mr. Breed is honestly the best teacher I've ever had. I had horrible math anxiety before and that is almost totally gone now. He is very helpful and makes it seem fun. He never makes you feel bad if you don't understand something either. He gives a lot of extra credit opportunities too!

His energy and enthusiasm are amazing! He never gets angry, always cheerful, super easygoing - just wants students to learn math. I promise if u take math with David u will learn to love it! I hated math before taking Professor Breed's class; I just knew that I was going to fail!! By the end of the quarter I had learned more about math than I had in 12 years of grade school; I earned an A+ in math the first time ever! He is by far the best teacher I have ever had!! Who knew that math could actually be fun?!! Wish he taught Math 80&90!

I would recommend Mr. Breed to anyone he is VERY wise and goes at your pace to teach. He cares about every individual, wish he would teach higher math classes so I could take him again.

He is a nice and good teacher. My problem was the class title "Arithmetic". Arithmetic involves: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages and fractions. At the least the class should have been called Pre Algebra. I'd never taken any algebra before and got hit with it in the first week. Very misleading title and description!

Was always bad at math & taking his class helped me understand A LOT. He's very enthusiastic about what he teaches. He's hilarious and that makes his class seem less intimidating. Truly wants to help those who've forgotten or never learned the foundation of math. There's homework assigned daily but only a few is collected. Weekly quizzes were easy.

The class was based online using XYZ Homework. I hate math but his teaching style is very helpful and clear. He provides helpful videos that make it easier to learn when you're not in class. Probably the best math teacher I've ever had.

Professor Breed is a Top Notch instructor. Where his heart lies is teaching students math concepts. He won't throw problems on the board, and except you to solve for yourself. Even though students are learning at a college, if you're needing a little more help with studies he has no problems walking you through. If u want 2 excel Mr. Breed

David Breed is an amazing teacher and he made maths a lot more easy for me to understand. He takes the time to help you and even has office hours where he will try to break it down even more. He is very kind and encouraging. I would HIGHLY recommend this class to anyone who struggles with maths as he is extremely helpful.

Took this class along with HIST049 (two classes into one). He's so passionate with his job and care about his students to get good grades in his class. Gives bonus points and lots of extra credit. Clear and always gives useful feedbacks.

If you show passion on global science, he really does give you extra credits. He's easy to talk to and if you miss your work, don't hesitate to talk to him and ask if you can do anything to catch up. His class is easy if you take notes and pay attention yet also very informative. Also has field trips and textbooks is free (written by him)

This teacher made Math really fun! He always had a huge smile and was ready to answer any question you have. There's not that much homework, but its really easy if you paid attention in class. I would definitely take another math class with this teacher!

I took two of his classes for my first academic year. He was simply the very best. He encourage and inspire a person to love the environment, is very enthusiastic, and loves what he does. The field trips in his classes were amazing. I wish I had other classes with him. They don't have many instructors like him anymore. Definitely recommended.

You can reach him after class during his office hours & he will trade out your worst quizes grades for ones you do better on. David does his best to make the class time fun and enjoyable as well as making it easy to learn more about the topics being taught. Its very easy to pass this class. Show up, do the work. 100% would take again.

Mr. Breed is hands down one of the best math instructors I have ever met. He teaches you to use consistent methods, has a flexible testing schedule, works with SSD students and truly cares about you understanding the material. He doesn't rehash the same complicated verbiage from the book, but reworks problems for visual learners.

Now, I've never liked math. I always had horrible experiences with it, and it was enough to make me frustrated. David Breed, was the most helpful instructor I have ever had. If you are scared of math, or dislike math in any sense-- Breed is the PERFECT instructor for you. Take it from a girl who's never gotten an A in a Math class until now.

Breed makes learning easy. His lectures explain the same thing multiple ways which makes some people annoyed but trust me its worth it when you don't understand. He provides online videos, a book, handouts, lecture, and one on one help. There's really no excuse to fail unless you don't show up. He is passionate in everything and truly inspiring.

The best Pre-College Math Professor. I started off with David's MATH077 and have made it to the last of the math classes offered at Edmonds. I'm at MATH272/271 now and he was the one who inspired me to take higher math classes. One of the best professors at Edmonds.

I have almost done all the math classes at Edmonds. I started off with his MATH77 class and made my way to finishing MATH272 and waiting for the fall to start MATH271. He is the reason why I love math.

Never before has math been so easy to understand and apply. Some would consider it magic. A real G on campus. Even for me, who took this class as review, Mr. Breed's course structure is amazing. I never thought being able to work at my own pace in a math class would be so nice. Other profs should take some notes.

I took math 47 and math 77 with him and he is amazing. He really knows how to explain math. The textbook was be available online and attendance was not mandatory, it is up to you.

Professor Breed is amazing! Honestly one of my favorite professors ever! He genuinely cares about his students and offers lots of feedback! I was able to jump to statistics after taking his class as he really takes his time to help you understand algebra. I would take him again and again if I could! Take this class; you will not regret it!

I had David as my teacher 3x in a row, math 47, 77, & PNW Science Issues. He is an excellent teacher. He's funny and explains things really well. He makes himself available & is tech savvy. Even if you don't take his classes, you will probably still use the videos he made for math 47 & 77. He gives plenty of opportunities for extra credit.

Professor David is awesome and explains concepts well. He'll let you retake tests as many as three/four times if you didn't get the best grade. He's understanding and funny. He wants every student in the class to succeed, no matter what. Just make sure not to fall behind with XYZ homework. I'll update this review once I finish the course. :)
