very boring but an easy grade if you study online quizes
sooooo easy but DO NOT TAKE MORNINGS!
Very knowledgable, good professor, easy class.
Tons of extra credit available if you show up to class, easiest A in a "science" class. I'm so happy, but I sleep through class until I hear "extra credit" then I write it down, and go back to sleep. No one should get below a B, you can't help but pass.
Great class. He gives you extra credit if you do it. You have a good shot at getting an A if you do the web ct quizes and study for the tests. I would recommend this class.
this dude and his class are both super boring, buuut all his slides he teaches off of are sold at the book store which means you never have to go to class (but sometime he gives extra credit if you do)- usually online quizes and such, but over all it's pretty easy
Excellent professor, very fair, funny, helpful and wants everyone to be able to do well. Highly recommend.
I just love Dr. Bush. He is always willing to help. But take my advice - Don't have your cell phone on in class and don't talk while he is talking! Take his class. With any effort you will make an A.
easiest class you will take. dont go to class. he posts his old tests on webct. study those and you will do fine. i have an A and only go to class on test days. MUST TAKE
Easy to understand. Old exams are on webCT. On days when there were few of us in class, extra credit was given. He does not tolerate cell phones and talking. Turn phones off and shut your mouth. Easy class with extra credit given throughout the semester. Highly recommend.
A great professor. He encourages everyone to do well . Do not talk in class! Turn off your cell! If you do these two things and pay attention you will get an A.
Awesome teacher and do not leave the middle of his class and he hates when cellphones go off!
Oceanography was the easiest class ever. He decided to make our entire semester webct (meaning class was still held and he would lecture, but all of the notes and tests were online and we could take the tests as many times as we wanted) i went to class for the 1st 2 weeks and i never went back.. easy easy easy.
This professor was great, he gave ample extra credit opps and if you get anything below a B, consider giving up on college! lol He was awesome, all tests are online and from the booklet of powerpoints
His lectures are long, but book isn't required only a study guide is required.
His class was soo easy, YOu didn't have to go but he gave extra points when he felt like it if you did show up. Lectures were given but all graded work was done on Webct with only the deadline of having it done by the last day of class. Text book not needed up the study guide, power point notes
very boring class, but easy A. didn't have to show up often, but when you did he gave extra credit points sometimes. has the tendency to walk out on students when they're too talkative. all exams including the final is online and if you are unsatisfied with your grade on one, email him and he'll reset it for you so you can retake it. i got an A
This class is easy if you put forth an effort. Everything is online. sometimes the quizzes were hard, but most of them weren't. The final is online. Easy final if you use the quizzes you took. Awesome teacher!!! Extra credit if you come to class, but you don't have too!!! I made an A
Awesome Class. As long as you show up and pay some attention you will make an A. It's impossible to fail this class with all the extra credit he gives. You even get to redo your test with an open book to get 50% credit back! Such an easy A!
changed everything, so now it's 3 tests, 2 worth 30% and a final worth 40%. Willing to give extra points ifthere is a problem with a questions. Gives second chances, but the tests get harder as the semester goes on.
Professor David Bush seems to talk a lot. his class was so boring to me and i did not study. he gives quizzes online, but he expects one to come to class on time, and not leave class early. if you study im sure you will make a good grade. i wish he would tell us the answers to the tests before but im sure he just wants us to study instead of ju
gives extra credit if you go class. all tests were online but were hard and timed so that made it harder, but helpful and give second chances.
You have to buy the notes from the book store because that's you're only source, read them and do the study guides. Remember to take the test online or you will be caught in a bundle. If everyone doesn't do well he'll give everyone and 2nd chance just remember to take the test again. Start studying in advance!
Oceanography was a pretty easy class. Do the study guides and go to class. Its impossible not to get an A if you put a little effort in.
If you need the elective credit take Dr. Bush. Attendance is not mandatory, but he gives extra credit on random days to those who are in class. Three tests & one final all of which are on WebCT. Questions come straight from his powerpoint slides so there is no real reason to buy the book. He drops the lowest test grade.
I took him for geomorph. I don't care what any one says, he's not that boring. You should actually go talk to him sometime. Make sure you know what's due bc it's never too clear. He uses powerpoints, if you want to do well you will study the powerpoints!
Read power points. Good interesting professor! Great if you are interested in Oceanography! Really great during the summer! Tests are online quizzes and you can do them whenever you want. Good, easy, non-science major class!
3 Words... DO NOT TAKE. Unless you want a big waste of time taking up your schedule. The notes that you have to buy are his powerpoints, slide for slide. The book is rarely used... The tests are well.. that's a whole different story. If you don't absolutely LOVE Oceanography... DO NOT TAKE!!!!!!!!!!
Maymester class, all quizzes and test online, including midterm and final. Don't buy the book, its just power points that you can print if you ask. VERY EASY a with or without prior knowledge of geology. Attendance not mandatory at all.
Took his oceanography class, and it was AWFUL. He wasn't helpful, didn't speak clearly, doesn't use a text book, and most importantly DOESN'T TEACH! He puts the information in front of you and expects you to grasp it. Tests and quizzes have information that isn't in his notes. DO NOT TAKE THIS COURSE.
Easy if ur the independent learning student, quizes seem easy but some things arnt in your notes. WILL NOT ROUND if you need that .2 points for your grade. If u take this class take it with a friend, it comes in handy
Very easy class. All quizzes and the final are online and answers are in the course pack. Do not buy the textbook. Attendance is not mandatory. I attended 6 times all semester and still got a high B in the class.
EASIEST COURSE EVER! You have to take quizes but you get two chances to take them and after the first time it gives you the correct answer. Just do the review and the final comes straight from that. Don't buy the textbook! It's like $165 and you won't need it! EASIEST A EVER!
Took his intro to oceanography class online and can only say one thing...DO NOT TAKE!!!!! He only gives one try on the quizzes and half the stuff is not in his notes. The majority of his notes are absolutely useless and a waste of time. If your looking for an easy A then do not bother with this class.
I took this class online & it was great. He used the McGraw online for all assignments (HW & Exams) . The HW was unlimited 'check your work' which made it easy to get an 'A' on the homework and the exam was timed (100 mins.) but you were still able to use any "resources" if you needed help finding an answer. Overall, easy A/B for a non-lab sci.
This class is fully online. I only took the class because my adviser said it would be an easy A. THAT IS A LIE!! I do not recommend taking this class unless its required under your major. Its to time consuming and you have to take 4 timed tests plus the book was expensive. The tests are hard plus its a bunch of homework.Only take if required!!
This class isn't easy. You have to put a lot of time and studying into it. As long as you're willing to teach yourself the material and do the work you'll do fine. The class was taught through Magraw-Hill online connect so you will need the book and access code.
My advisor told me that this class was supposed to be an easy A. Well it wasn't because some of the material from the test wasn't on the notes! I will said this when we omplained about the time limit of the test Dr. Bush did change it and even allowed us to retake our quizes. So he does listens to the class but I wouldn't recommend this class.
The class is rough and the tests are near impossible, but tbh, every semester people complain about failing and he opens up tests to be taken as many times as you want and he basically lets everyone get an A.
Gives you many opportunities to make the best grade you possibly can! In the online course, you're allowed to take every quiz twice, and he takes the highest score. Even offers extra credit points at the beginning of the course (by taking the syllabus and pre-test quizzes) to get you started off on the right track. Great professor, so passionate!
Dr. Bush knows what he's talking about. You will have 24 quizzes and a final exam. Everything is open at the beginning of the semester so you can knock it all out at your own pace. Some of his powerpoint notes do not add up with the questions, but after some searching you'll find the answers. He gives TONS of extra credit so be on the look out!
24 quizzes. 1 final. LOTS of extra credit. (quizzlet is your bff for this class) Easy A and Dr. Bush wants you to have that A! You get 2 takes at every quiz. Class is completely online, but he will still met with you if you're having any trouble! Helpful and fun professor! Oceanography is an easy alternative to any non-lab science!
This class is easy but very time-consuming. If you have a ton of free time on your hands then this is the class for you. I would not take it again because there are so many quizzes to take. You have to read through all the powerpoints and notes thoroughly.
This class is COMPLETELY self paced! (a nightmare for procrastinators) I took it through BanWeb completely online. The final is posted the day the class opens online class opens, so you could easily finish the class in 2 weeks. It has 24 quizzes and that is ALL. You get 2 chances at each quiz. THE QUIZZES DO NOT CORRELATE WITH THE POWER POINTS.
Worst online class I've ever taken. It is completely self paced, so you are in charge of due dates. I stressed about this class everyday. There are 24 "topics" PowerPoints, each with a quiz that is timed, please study and read through before taking the quizzes. Plus 1 final, which was over everything! Some power points were 90+ slides long FYI...
Dr. Bush is very helpful if you email him with questions. The power points are long and very full of information. The course is self-paced, but BEWARE of getting behind. It would be hard to catch up. If you put in the effort, the class is very doable. The final was a bit tough. Do ALL the extra credit. The points are very helpful in the end!
Questions do not always line up with power points and you have to go searching for it (mind you, you are on a timer). Tons of info, so it often gets discouraging when you go through it all and the quiz has extra questions not in that ton of info you spent time reading. Extra credit but its often random, useless information. I got most of them wrong
Online course. Keep a steady pace with the assignments and you'll do fine. Class is at your own pace.
He is a very easy and straightforward professor. You are working with two data based systems in this course, CourseDen and Pearson Mastering Geology. CourseDen is where the quizzes for extra credit are, and the Pearson Mastering Geology site is where your assignments, quizzes and exams are. They are so easy. I would totally take him Online.
Bush is by far one of my favorite professors at the university! He is clear about what is expected and communicates effectively. He does his best to make his classes as stress-free as possible and will work with you if needed. I've taken oceanography and geology with him, and both classes were a breeze.
Mr. Bush was a very nice Professor to his students. I took his online class, and he was very helpful to me if anything went wrong. However, the class itself was terrible. The quizzes are very hard, so you must study the powerpoints he provides. Also, the final had so many questions, and the difficulty was the same as the quizzes.
What I absolutely loved about this class, and wished all online classes where this way is that he gave all of his assignments (quiz) at the beginning of the semester. That means that you can go at your own pace. As long as it is done by the end of semester. As a mother, it is so important! Each quiz is over the PP so read/take good notes to pass.
Awesome professor. Online class allowed us to take all the quizzes on the first day, so we could do the class at our own pace. No discussions, just quizzes and one final. He also offers extra credit, which is great! Highly recommend.
Everything was available on the first day, which was nice. It's all quizzes and then the final. He does offer extra credit, which is nice. Most of what is on the quiz is not in the notes. I would look through everything and then take the quiz and I had to google pretty much everything. So if you don't mind teaching yourself everything then take him
Easy A. He posts everything online the first day of class except the Final and extra credit. If you just follow the power-points , you'll be good. Hes not the best at emailing you back though. I took his class in Spring 2018 and I made an A. I am going to take him again in Fall 2018 for a different class.
This course may work for some people - but not for me. I did fine in other online classes, but this man is not a teacher. He posts all power points and quizzes (24 total) the first day of class. You teach yourself, and the computer grades it. The final was brutal- there is no way to study for it. You have to look up every single answer(it is timed)
Easy class. Posts everything the first day and you complete it on your own time. 24 quizzes and a final. Gives a lot of easy extra credit so make sure to check for that. I received about 34 points just in extra credit (a quiz is usually worth around 10-20).
Easy A, best online class I've taken yet. Everything is there for you, you just have to utilize it and you'll make an A.
24 quizzes and a final is what the class consists of. Everything is posted on the first day. There are also many extra credit opportunities. Overall, the teacher isn't really involved in the class; you basically just read the PowerPoints. It's an easy A if you use the materials you are given.
I had very little interaction with Dr. Bush. Just do the quizzes and take the final online. when a class is 100% online it's very difficult to fail, but the material was by no means easy.
Very long PowerPoints. Quizzes can be tough, but there are 27 extra credit points you can earn. Easy A. Final is very long. Great professor.
This class is NOT A CLASS FOR PROCRASTINATORS! Everything is given on day one and you basically teach yourself. He has very little interaction with the class itself. It is good to read the notes and the powerpoints, but even then some questions either do not make sense, do not line up at all/are typo'ed, or plain out were not even mentioned.
The professor was not involved at all! The power points and notes do not match the quizzes or tests. If you aren't doing well in the class, take the extra credit. Doing so will help you at least make a C.
I'm on my 80th credit hour rn and Bush is still the worst, most uninvolved, careless professor I have ever had. He clearly just teaches for his paycheck, and that's it.
don't take this unless you're comfortable with teaching yourself, you work at your own pace. I enjoy that part, I'm about done with the class and I'm not even halfway through the semester. His quizzes are relatively hard, and the content is someone difficult to read (it's presented as slides and a separate webpage of notes).
Easiest A I have ever had. Don't procrastinate and you will do fine.
His class is not for procrastinators. He gave us all the power-points and quizzes at the same time and you do it at your own pace. You are given a lot of extra credit assignments which will help in the long run. I highly suggest you take notes because if you dont the test will be harder. Discuss forms are options I would take him again.
This class consists of 24 powerpoints with 24 quizzes to go along with them and a final exam. I loved this class because I could do it at my own pace, and I finished it about 2 months before the end of the semester which allowed me to just focuses on the rest of my classes.
Very simple online course for Oceanography. Take it at your own pace and that's it.
While there are a lot of tests, they are fairly easy, given that you have read the slides provided. He also provided many opportunities for extra credit
Oceanography is a self paced class. He posts 24 slide shows and 24 quizzes. The final exam was 100 questions and we had 3 hours and 20 minutes to complete it. Dont procrastinate in this class, he gives a lot of extra credit and sends pace reminders throughout the semester.
Posted all chapter quizzes and information online at begging of semester to work on at your own pace. There is one final due date on the last day of class for all quizzes and final. I don't recommend this but I did all 24 chapter quizzes and the Final in the last week of class and still made an A. No other assignments and no meetings online. Easy A
Love this professor. Everything is online and the powerpoints help a lot. If you do the assignments weekly or bi-weekly you will definitely get an A. I only got a B because I forgot about the class half the semester. He doesn't do reminders but it's totally doable and an easy and interesting class.
When I went to start the class there were 24 sections of notes, usually with 60+ slides, and 24 quizzes with a final exam. If you're looking for student-teacher communication, don't take his class. He only made two announcements for the halfway point and end of the class. It's an easy A if you ctrl+f everything, but it won't be fun.
Easiest class ever taken. Everything was available online and all the assignments were due by the end of the semester. As long as you stay on top of your assignments you should pass the class. Ample amount of opportunities at extra credit so there's no reason to fail.
His class is very easy as long as you can keep on task. All the quizzes and tests are open from day one and it just takes an effort to finish the class. Just dont procrastinate and its a simple class.
This whole class is just quizzes based on notes. Fairly simple. Just get the quizzes and final exam done by the due date and you will be all good. I actually learned some pretty interesting things along the way.
Online oceanography class. The class was very straight forward. I took this over summer semester and all the class material was presented on day one, and it is on you to manage your time and course material. Overall pretty easy and low stress for me at least
I loved the layout for this class. Everything is open at the beginning of the semester and due at the end at once. If you don't like doing everything on your own and teaching yourself I would not recommend. However, I liked having one class like this that I was not having to worry about due dates when I have other classes that do every week. Easy!!
During my online course, Professor Bush provided all of the necessary notes in a series of PowerPoint slides. Textbook was not required, and I loved this. The tests were a tad difficult but everything was in the PowerPoints. Lots of extra credit opportunities. If you need to take this course I recommend him.
Teacher was completely lazy and did not take his job seriously! He only interacted with the class a hand full of times! He only gave quizzes(24) would not take him again.
Mr. Bush's class is very laid back. Took this class online and the class was truly online and at your own pace. There were 24 or 25 chapters to read and take quizzes with multiple attempts available and 1 final with 100 questions. I really enjoyed working at my own pace. Take this class if you don't want to be stressed out.
Easiest professor I have had. Took this online and it was 100% self paced and you could finish it all in one day if you really took the time to.
Professor Bush was great. There were 24 quizzes, a 100 question final, and multiple extra credit opportunities. You are provided with everything you need to get a good grade. You also get two attempts of every quiz. It is almost impossible to fail! I really enjoyed his class.
Class was self paced. Very enjoyable. Easy to understand. Bush offers lots and lots of extra credit.
Don't hesitate to take this class! It's very clear cut -- 24 quizzes and a 100 question final exam. There are 7 (very easy) bonus quiz opportunities. I would definitely take him again if I could!
Dr. Bush is very clear-cut on grading and the assignments given out. He gives out a lot, I mean a lot of extra credit, so please do every single one. (The extra credit is not hard at all. Please do it; it will help you). 95% of the class is just quizzes; he allows you to retake it once. Very EASY!!
Bush's Oceanography class is very easy. Your grade is based on something like 26 quizzes and a final exam. The quizzes and final both follow the provided PowerPoint slides, so if you read them it should be fairly easy to get an A.
I don't have anything negative but it's a very on your own class. He puts everything in at once and pretty much disappears after that. If you feel like you need constant help or guidance this definitely isn't the class for you.
A pretty straightforward professor. He does check in and make sure that you are pacing yourself! I have nothing bad to say about him.
100% self-paced. I finished the whole class, quizzes, and final in TWO weeks! Bush is a dream professor! Super chill and quick to reply. PowerPoints cover everything you need. Anyone complaining must love being micromanaged—couldn't be me! I love being left ALONE to get my work done. Easy A if you just do the work.
Bush responds to emails quickly and is always available for questions. There are a lot of quizzes, but the PowerPoints and notes make them manageable. The 100-question final is TOUGH! Not gonna lie, it was a LOT! But keeping your notes helps. No micromanaging and he lets you work at your own pace. I finished the whole class in just over a month.
Whole class is just quizzes. Provides slideshows with the literal answers in them. You can literally finish this course in a day if you want to. Don't even have to ask for extra credit because it's already available first day. My G.O.A.T :) and also, the quizzes have multiple attempts
Easy class, I wouldn't take it if you're a procrastinator. He has everything due at the end of the semester, and you have to pace yourself, but if you can handle that you'll do great.
