great teach, don't let your cell phone go off though, or he'll answer it for you

Usually lets off 15 min. early and will start conversations with class...
alpha d glucose!!! pay attention, take good notes
No Comments
So what if he lets you leave early? Everyone in the class takes notes, most study, but most do poorly on tests. 60% average? Come on.
If you like to take a course in chemistry, yet observe nothing but Prof. Camerons personal hygiene has gone array. Please take him.
If you go to class, and do what he tells you to work on, this is a fairly easy class. He has a very clear teaching style.
Very hard class, if you dont know it going in dont expect to know it comming out of the class
No Comments
You really don't even need a chemistry book for his class. His notes cover basically everything, and if you pay attention you don't need to spend much time studying.
attendance policy via random quizes..don't bother with the book...use your notes
If you do your work, a little at at a time, it will be a fairly easy class. If you wait last minute, like most people do in this class, you'll get a test score in the 60s. Homework isn't required but if you do it according to the schedule->class is no p
Chem sucks!
Cameron is the ****ing man
funny as hell, reminds me of a jerry springer show. over explains things and writes everything hes thinking on the board. hes funny to say the least and if someone falls asleep he dismisses class hes a descent teacher he definitly knows his s%$#.
Good overall teacher. Tests and homework are fair. Pay attention in class and take good notes. No need for a textbook, he covers everything effectively in class.
He is the best teacher ever. U don't need a book, he covers everything in the class...notes are important. attending and understanding are also important.
awesome mad scientist dude! Notes are definitely the key to doing well on the hourly exams. Homework is short and to the point. F***ing coool class. oh and dont ever bring a cell phone to class
Excellent teacher. Never needed to reference the text book. A lot of quizzes and tough grading though.
GO TO CLASS!!!!!!! Tests are fairly short. If you dont like going to class, you will not do well. He doesnt teach from the book, and doesnt require you to buy it. He is funny, and likes writing what he is thinking on the board. MUST study every night
This guy is crazy and makes class fun. we even got to diverge on the making of a atom bomd(*and i mean the spucifics of how to make it)
This guy is extremely intelligent and will go off on tangents a lot. He'll answer your question incredibly thoroughly. You'll learn a lot if you go to class. Don't buy the book.
the absolute worst professor i could ever imagine for any subject, crazy and he looks like he's gonna collapse in class
The worst teacher I've had next to Bogan. I realized this when my friend explained a simple subject to me before I went to class, and during class he made it SO HARD to understand. Partial credit is a JOKE. Don't count on it unless you know it already
Okay, he looks like a mad scientist. But he knows his stuff. He is probably the smartest guy on campus. Cameron has been here for over 20 years. His methods are original. He won't admit it, but he made his own chemistry. Hardly anything from the text.
This guy sucks! He has a weird way of teaching and he just doesn't give a crap if you understand. If you don't then your screwed. Avoid him take anyone else and you'll be fine!
He is brilliant but you must have a good foundation for his class, this class is not for beginners. He is open to comments and questions, but you need to know what you are talking about.
Make sure you have had a good course in this before you take his class because he expects a certain level of experience. Very Helpful, knows his stuff. Do your homework (easy) and you should do well. Dont ever fall asleep in class or bring a cell phone.
BY FAR THE WORST PROFESSOR I HAVE EVER HAD!!! hE WILL NOT ALLOW CELLPHONES, EATING, SLEEPING, OR BRINGING ANYTHING BESIDES YOUR BIOLOGY STUFF WITH YOU. SNAPS ON YOU. IF YOU DO ANY OF THE ABOVE. HE DOES NOT TEACH!!!TREATS STUDENTS LIKE GARBAGE.
The school sets a syllabus for a reason. Someone should tell this guy he needs to follow it. He does an example in class that you won't find in the book and expects you to know how to do any problem relating to it on the homework
Definitely a mad scientist type, but is a GREAT guy and knows his stuff. He created his own methods to solve stoichiometry to make it easier for you. Understands that EP is harder and makes you feel smarter and encourages you to stick with it...
This guy is crazy. He carries a little brown bag everywhere that is prob filled with crack. Looks crazy, but is awesome at chemistry. Will treat you like a moron if you ask a "stupid" quesiton. Def has his own chemistry, which is sooo hard to understand.
BEST CHEM TEACHER I EVER HAD
He is so funny. At first you may hate the class, but towards the end, you'll really enjoy it. He's a good teacher and is easy to understand for the most part.
HE IS HOT!
Dr.Cameron is a great instructor, he is extremely smart and made chemistry amazing. Reminds me of a mad scientist and is incredible with stoichiometry. dont take if u never had a chem class before.
Best Chemistry professor Ive ever had, he shows the real pure chemistry. Even though the EP chemistry level was harder he made sure that all of us would feel comfortable in his class. HE IS THE BEST
horrible professor, he is not good with people, don't try to talk to the guy because he will blow you off, a crack pot, very intelligent but that does not help you as a student if he does not teach, take some one else if possible
I did very well because I purposely forgot about the previous methods I was taught to learn his way. Book is useless. Stoichiometry problem solver is good. Hard class if you don't show up. Study hard for tests.
Very intelligent. Very helpful. I feel he should allow students to do more problem solving on their own in class rather than solving all the problems on the board for them. Other than that, I thought he was a good teacher.
I heard he only hates AE people because he knows we only take him once. Give him respect and do your homework and you'll be fine. He might look at you everyday like you're a failure and will never amount to anything in life, but don't hold it against the poor old guy. I heard he loves his EP kids.
I hated chem and had no chem background before taking his class. Now after taking it, I realized its not so bad and pretty easy. Really good teacher. He almost over explains things at times just so everyone understands. Tests are challenging but not impossible. Study hard and do homework to get A
great! Extremly well organized, one good exaple after another. if your phone rings or you come in late he may kill you :) also, buy his booklet at the book store and use it for the first half of the semester. it will help.
Most people go to Riddle for engineering and physics and forget chemistry, therefore it is tough. Cameron is a good teacher, insane though. BUY THE STOICHIOMETRY HANDBOOK!!! It will help you. Do the homework and study Chemistry at least 2 hours everyday.
He sucks. He is crazy. CRAZY!

Good guy
He sucks, if he does not like you he will screw you over
Do not take this guy!! He is very hard and give's no partial credit
Good amount of humor mixed with a clear teaching method. He's not easy, but it isn't difficult to do well in his classes.
Def not enough practice in HW to do anywhere close to good...u have to study ur butt off doing problems 100 times a day to be ne good...u have an hour for ur test... if u dont get ur word problems right ur screwed, cuz it takes an hour to do them neway. He expects you to know everything when HS chem was 5 years ago, this is ****. I went to tutoring 5 times in 2 weeks, and still only got a 48, can someone say...aggrivating?
Great Teacher, the guy is CRAZY. But I wont hold it against him. He is an awesome teacher, and he really knows his stuff. Although he does tend to ramble sometimes. Keeps things interesting with jokes and random explosions. Class is hard, but very doable. Just do your homework and go to class.
Cameron is Crazy. He is a great teacher though, but the class is very difficult. He teaches everything thoroughly, you just have to put forth the effort to make the grade. He does give extra credit, but he makes you earn it. It is not impossible to come out with an A in his class, but a B is a much more realistic expectation. Hard, but Do-able.
man, this teacher is the best i've ever had. he really knows his stuff. his classes are very interesting because it's not only theory (he also talks about some applications). if you are willing to spend some time studying and doing HW, take him. PD: this class is NOT for lazzy butts

HE is a fair Professor and if you just listen u will get it and he gives partial credit on tests. home work is not mandatory, if you go to class and just listen you will pass his class its not that hard just study a little bit b4 the test and he tests what he teaches direct from the notes. good enougt for me to take him for PS 140.
Easy to hate, but at the same time commands a bit of respect. Makes ludacris rules about leaving the room. Does he not realize we are paying for the class. Random quizzes keep you on your toes and in the classroom. Be prepared to learn everything his way, with his definitions and his methods.
Have to do things his way to get a good grade. His way is actually pretty easy to understand use though. I loved his class. everything was clear basic and easy. His tests are multiple choice but you have to show work. There is only one obvious correct answer. The other options are random numbers he makes up. Makes it clear whether or not you a
Not the worst I've ever had but could definitely use some work. Sometimes he'll go off on tangents during lectures and rant about how students just aren't the same these days. Seems like he's pissed off that he's teaching chemistry at a school with no chemists.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS
ugh... i read these and thought i could live w/ this guy, NEVER AGAIN! he has really good teaching methods, but a ZERO tolerance policy. u doze off, yur out! take this class anywhere else!!!
Dr. Cameron is an excellent but strict teacher. If you feel you deserve special treatment do not take him. He is very interested in and excited about the subject material. His teaching methods are very clear and specific. It is helpful if you pay attention to his teaching and not try to learn the way you think is right.
Tests are hard and too long. Class average is usually in the 50s. You don't need the textbook until late in the semester. Take good notes. His quizes (every week)and tests come from lecture. He is an a**. I would recommed taking it at your local community college during the summer and transfer it in. You will absolutely hate this class and him.
Man...I should have checked this website before I signed up for this guys class. ABSOLUTLEY HORRIBLE. NO EXTRA CREDIT. Tests are extremely hard. Goes crazy over small things, says you can't leave the room once class begins, like this is some prison. Never would I take his class again. Take it at a community college or something trust me.
Had chemistry with him twice. F the first time and then D the second time working my ass off. Unless you are really good at chemistry and algebra avoid this guy if possible or leave the class for your junior year since it ain't required for anything else. Peace.
His class is very easy you just have to pay attention. Likes to go off on tangents sometimes which can be quite humorous
He is an old, angry man, who obviously hate his students. His tests are overly ambitious considering his teaching. He greatly over estimates both his ability to teach, and his students ability to understand him. It is a toss up if i'll pass. The real problem is he is the only chemistry teacher here, so there is no alternative. Good Luck.
complicated
The worst ever!!!!
DO NOT GET THIS TEACHER. take chem outside he doesnt no how to teach me and the whole class barly made a D and you never use the book if u do your wrong he makes up his own way and if its not his way your wrong and fail. u have a chance of a C with lab and quizs but its hard i and others got D's. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. if u can do it over summer. !!!!
I've been in school since kindergarten, and he is by far the worst teacher I have ever had! A very proficient student asked him a question today. He refused to answer, demanding that she buy a book instead. The entire class is hoping for a C, subtract those who put their lives into this class. He refers to the absolute temp scale in degrees Kevlin.
Avoid at all costs.
I had him during the spring semester of 2000. One thing I get a kick out of is that he'll write what he's saying on the board and circle it. For instance...."This is all ""JUNK""...."Circle", LOL.
Its not as bad as people make it out to be. Just try making jokes with him. He does actaully have a sense of humor and has loosened up to our class in the past few weeks. No interest in chemistry but did learn a bit.
His reputation is worse than he actually is. Pay attention in class, read your book like he says. If you still don't get it do the homework. He can actually be funny at times too. Don't get psyched out by what other students say, but if you don't have a prior knowledge of chemistry be prepared to put in some work.
Useless professor. You pay so much for this school and they have so many socially akward teachers.
Dr. Cameron is a great teacher. Although he can be mean at times, he does an awesome job of teaching chemistry. He is very fair and you know what to expect on tests. I got an A in his class and put forth medium effort.
At a school of this focus, a course that dives deeply into quantum theory and other chemistry bull crap is not to be weighed heavily. Cameron has this idea that the school is a chemistry school and he is the best anyone can get on the subject. The truth is he is the only individual who teaches this course and therefore takes first and last place.
Best teacher for chemistry. He teaches college like it should be. All these crying kids just want easy teachers and put no effort forward. Prepare for class, do optional homework, study and you will pass.
If you are having trouble understanding a concept in his class, his advice is to go home and read a chemistry. He doesn't say which text book to read, or what part, just read -A- text book. He expects you to spend 2 hours studying for every hour of class, and he goes into way too much detail for a 105 level course. His classes are good for a laugh.
He felt that chem should be taught in a different order than other prof, and changed it with no regard for our labs. So half-way through the semester no-one understood what was happening in labs, or how to do prelabs. I switched prof. half way through the sem. after he shouted the f-word at a student next to me.. Prof. Mathis is WAY better
If you walk in this class with no prior knowledge in chemistry, chances are that you will have a very hard time. Otherwise, his teaching method is "my way only." But his way tends to be very effective so pay attention and do ALL THE HW. His tests are difficult and he doesn't give away A's and B's. So be ready to work hard.
He teaches to his own test, not actual chemistry. And then the grading is arbitrary. If you ask why he took points off he will admit that he grades on whether or not you did it "his way". Seriously, do not take chemistry at ERAU.
He teaches scatter shot and nothing really flows. Its like one idea then a completely different one. For test two nothing we went over in class really pertains to what we will have to do. Doesn't follow the lab or a book therefore studying is difficult. Also the book Riddle recommends is useless and doesnt really talk about anything we are doing.
Is the stereotype of a crasy chemist. Very confusing when you start the semester. Just follow what he says, do the things his way and you'll be fine. He doesn't seems to take attendance but as he do things his way, you can get totally lost by missing just one class.
Prof. Cameron is eclectic but through. You don't have a lot of variety for Chem at ERAU, but if you study and write down everything he puts on the board, you'll be set. You'll get out of his class what you put into it. This is not an easy A, but it is possible!
This class is really all about doing it his way - because there is no other 'right' way. Provides formulas on exams. Homework is for studying purposes only and does not get graded. Three exams and a final. Overall not too bad. Lab on the other hand is lots of work.
DO NOT DO IT. Some questions on tests were not covered until the lab the following week. He seems to have 3 or 4 points he knows he wants to make during each lecture, then he just writes on the board until he thinks he's covered it all. Very incoherent. Like others have said, tests and quizzes are done his way or they're wrong. I'm hoping for a D.
NO! *circle*, He loves writing on the board and does not know how to teach.
Good class, but all material is covered in lecture. He requires you to use "his method" and you need to really know the information. Not an easy class by any means but if you put fourth effort you can get by with a decent grade.
Cameron is one of those rare whimsical beasts. His class is definitely passable, if done his way. He has a strange "my way is the best way and all other methods should be cast aside" kind of view. He is very picky about how you do your work (so just do it the same way he does). Not the worst professor but nowhere near ideal. Some will HATE him...
Dr. Cameron does not deserve his bad reputation. Hes very clear cut with what he wants in class and expects you to do everything his way. You just have to do everything his way and you'll be fine. The material is really easy and simple if you have any chemistry background at all. Just suck it up and do it his way.
Pretty easy over the summer, everything on the test was covered in class. Most people in the class got A's.
Make sure you do the homework, and learn from the quizzes
Show up to class and take all of his notes down. He is very clear and is willing to repeat things more than once if you don't understand. The online practice problems are very helpful and may be harder than the ones on the actual tests. He has a different teaching style but if you put effort in you should be fine.
All around good teacher. He is very clear on what he expects. Frankly, if you do bad in this class, you're either an idiot or you just don't have the motivation to do whatever job you're hoping to get after you graduate. This guy covers 95% of what will be on tests and quizzes. He tells you specifically what to look up for the remaining portion.
If you Space out Breifly you wont understand a thing until you get someone to explain whats going on
Cameron is cool. His lectures can get lengthy and boring, so if you doze off for a few seconds you will miss a lot and get confused. The material is hard but he gives good examples. Homework was not required. His test and quizzes are a lot harder then his examples though so you really need to know what you are doing.
Take him for chem lab if you have prior lab experience and are ambitious, he respects ambitious chemistry and competence and will sclae your work load accordingly, that said, if you pull it off he basically helps you earn a A for impressing him, try to skate by of department minimal and you get automatic C for final projects, higher risk higher gain
He is very hard. He knows what he is doing but does not necessarily help us understand. The exams are difficult even if you study for them long enough. But he is not that bad of a teacher. Do not be afraid of asking questions!! I REPEAT DO NOT BE AFRAID OF ASKING QUESTIONS!! It will make or break you. Crucial to review things within the textbook.
Probably the best teacher I have had at ERAU
Hands down the worst and most unprofessional professor on campus. He teaches from a poorly maintained website rather than utilizing Canvas (like every other professor). He doe NOT use standardized grading strategies and WILL subjectively grade individuals based on over simplifications that stem from insufficient information. AVOID! HE'S TERRIBLE!
Dr. Cameron teaches a difficult course, however if you pay attention in class and study hard you can pass. Always ask him questions on the test or quiz and he'll answer them for you.
By far my least favorite professor at ERAU. He yelled at multiple students, made fun of a couple. He is a 0 exception kind of guy. "The textbook is wrong" "google is unreliable" only get info from his methods. If you skip class you will fail. Cannot leave class and come back even from bathroom. Ten yur professor who the faculty dislike
If you don't understand stoichiometry, you won't pass Dr. Cameron's Chemistry class. This class is sequential, so if you don't understand the first couple of lessons, you'll be lost for the rest of the course. He is available almost every day if you need help, so don't be afraid to ask!
Dr. Cameron isn't that bad. He's very accessible outside of class if something isn't understood. He has high expectations of students. I would like to point out that he never threw a marker at a student. He threw a marker at the trash because it didn't work. He helps on quizzes if you ask. If you ask questions, you will do awesome!
Dr. Cameron is the worst professor I've experienced so far at ERAU. He's groggy, rude, clumsy, and narcissistic. Overall, he's a terrible motivator. I understand this is a difficult class, but he lacks charisma. I wish he would attempt or at least pretend to inspire the class rather than throwing childish insults at us when we ask questions.
I'm on my second semester with Cameron and due to me missing classes, I failed the first time. He doesn't teach at all, and I'm only passing this time around because I taught myself everything before the exam last time. He's a harsh grader and isn't consistent with his grading at all. Not many assignments so if you fail a test, good luck.
A fine person, but I would not take again. He has poor hygiene, his lectures are very hard to follow and there are little to no class resources. You miss one class, expect a letter grade drop because the content of every lecture is absolutely need to know. He does not give enough time for quizzes and expects you to use his method or you're wrong.
Quizzes and projects every week. He can be difficult to follow along with if you know nothing about computers.
