he is a scholar; most youngsters will not appreciate this. he's hysterical.

Very smart teacher. But the class can be toilsome.

A tough grader. Expects way too much for ENG 102! A great challage, however, for good writers. Knows his stuff, but can be boring at times. Take him if you like English enough :)

He is a good teacher but he grades hard and his class is unbeleivably boring to sit through. Iam so mad at myself for not dropping it while i could of.

This man is the best teacher i have had. dont trust the lazy people who are mad they had to do work.

A smart professor...but boring. If your a good essay writer then you will do very fine. If not, then your looking at a B or less.

good teacher, goes over all the readings.. u cant cheat w cliff notes here but as far as textbook readings go he goes over everything in class so i found him very easy and nice.. but a lot of kids didnt do well on the essays

The material was okay.. he's funny and very nice. I never had any problems with him.

castronovo is a great teacher. anyone who says otherwise is lazy. he's one of the most animated people i've ever witnessed, very understanding and helpful and very very smart. he'll make you read your work outloud and then rip it apart in front of the class but it makes you improve. his class really makes you a better writer

I agree, he'll help you become a better writer, if you put in the effort. DO NOT expect an easy A. He doesn't like giving them out because, as he always puts it "they are very, very special and must be earned."

He's a good teacher; by the end of the class you really do find that your writing has improved immensely. There's a fair amount of work, but the material is engaging and having a lot of writing practice throughout the course is helpful.

Dr. Castronovo is one of the BEST PROFESSORS I'VE EVER HAD!! It is sad to see all the bad ratings but can easily be explained: most Pace students are imbeciles! I actually got a B- on his class but ever since then I've had A's on any class that had writing involved.

I loved Dr. Castronovo! He graded our papers with weird comments (good, fair, help) on the top. He talks a lot too. And he usually goes off on tangents that have nothing to do with what we're talking about, and take up the whole class. He talks kinda funny, and sometimes he's hard to understand. But if you get on his good side, you're golden!

You were one of my favorite and most memorable professors, and you are sorely missed.
