awsome, take good ntoes and ur golden . def learn alot
Great guy. Tests are open notes from the notes he gives in class. Very helpful. If you do better in one area over another, he will weigh your best grades more in giving a final grade.
Good guy, but bring a tape recorder to class because he doesn't use the book. He will test you on the littlest things that he says in class. His notes are everything.....
Awesome!
Very enthusiasm and knowledgeable about the topics.
Good guy, great teacher. Makes class fun and entertaining. Tests and quizes are open note book, but they are still a challenge. I recomend his class.
GOOD GUY, KNOWS HIS STUFF. YOUR GRADE DEPENDS ON HOW MUCH WORK YOU DO. TESTS AND QUIZZES ARE OPEN NOTEBOOK BUT YOU HAVE TO TAKE REALLY GOOD NOTES TO DO WELL. MAKES CLASS VERY INTERESTING.
Great teacher, very interesting - makes you think. One of those classes where what you learn you want to tell others about....definitely take this class. - Or at the very least, this professor!
May be a good class, may be bad class. Somewhat confusing.
fun class...but kinda hard...quizzes you on the littlest thing..u get to use notes on quizzes..but they are pretty hard and he asks the littlest questions...so basically just copy the whole damn chapter...it will only take 3000 hours
SO HOT!!!! Seriously..so hot
thinks he knows everything but definitly doesnt. says the quizzes are to prove you read but the questions are ridiculously specific. impossible to follow his lectures. confusing. not recommended.
dave is a good professor. he makes class very interesting and time goes by fast. his tests (midterm and final) and quizzes (almost weekly) are all open notes. the quizzes are really easy, but tests are pretty challenging. attendance is important (lots of test questions based on class material) and the reading is time consuming but a good professor.
Kinda interesting, but a little confusing. Very enthusiastic. I was interested in sociology but after his class I don't think I'm gonna take it again. Not bad at all tho!
sure, you can use your notes for the quizzes... copying entire chapters in detail will only take you about 13 hours. the best part is when you can't use the notes you relied on the entire semester for the deadly midterm/final and you learned nothing from class (which you must attend) because all he does is repeat the same dumb stories. worthless.

This class is ok if you don't want to learn anything. I was interested in sociology until I took this class. He's enough to turn anyone against a subject with his unfunny stories and sarcasism.
Thoroughly enjoy sociology & hated this class; tests are impossible def visit in office hours b/c he tries to help u with ur grade/sees u care; do the ex credit; enough things to boost bad test scores, hand paper in early; class and tests are unbearable; does not make sense in discussions; did not learn anything; had much higher expectations
terrible class..this man is so full of himself..thinks hes the greatest gift to bryant university..i cant stand going to class.
This guy is full of himself. He thinks his class is the easiest class offered at Bryant. He knows his stuff but his methods of teaching suck. You read a chapter take notes and use them on the quiz, but your screwed for the tests. Try paying attention to what he has to say in class, that's most of test right there the rest of the test is bullshi
really chill.. take him for a night class.. you go once a week and take a quiz on the chapter assigned and you can use your notes. Each week there are extra credit assignments offered as well. he also drops ur lowest 2 quiz grades...i dnt see how ne1 could POSSIBLY complain about the tests, you honestly dnt have a BRAIN if you get lwer than a B
Honestly not as bad as everyones making him out to be here. He is a tad full of himself.. constantly saying "see how I do this? Arnt I great?" You also have to take pretty extensive notes on the chapters. That being said, this class is pretty straight forward. Tests arnt bad and extra credit is offered. Class can be interesting too. Not a bad class
he's a nice guy,but yea,he does think highly of himself. you can use your notes on the weekly quizzes, but then it messes w/you on the test.and on the tests he doesn't want you to think so hard, so he makes the questions kinda tricky.his notes on the board are impossible to read,so just listen.that's what is on the test.everything he talks about
I actually enjoyed going to his class, he always made it fun. However, I hated his tests. They were unclear.
I think he is a really good teacher. he is really funny and willing to help you if you ask. his tests are hard and sometimes unclear but if you take really good notes especially on class demonstrations and examplesyou should be good. you must read the txtbook. i hate reading and hardly ever read for classes but in this class its a must goes by fast
really chill guy...made the class a pleasure to be in. yes, he does do a lot of participant demonstrations, but it's part of what makes the class fun. Take notes in class...you only really need the book if you miss the definitions or theories he gives in class. great teacher, awesome class!
Hilarious guy. Read the chapters assigned in the text and you'll do well. Lots of stories and in class exercises. Favorite class of the semester; made me want to minor in soc.
nice guy..class is interesting..class is important to attend. He gives alot of class examples so go to class. DO NOT TAKE HIS NIGHT SOC CLASS! it is hard! he thinks his tests are easy, but they are not!! his tests are all fill in the black w/out word banks!!! you must pay attention n take alot of notes!!
I loved this course. Ciliberto is very enthusiastic, entertaining, and hilarious. I would not recommend taking this class if you are not interested at all in sociology, because there is a lot of reading and studying required. But if you are into it, I highly recommend him for a soc teacher!
Really funny man with alot of funny stories that pertain to class. First day came in with fake teach and voice just to make an impresion. Really good subject, and because of him will be minoring in it. Get the book and more importantly use www.prenhall.com/macionis/ it really helps. Just go to the study guide section, and don't let him findout. AM
Awesome professor! Keeps the class interesting and is really straight forward with what will be on exams. Knows what he's talking about and uses good examples in class. Grade is made up of 4 exams, plus extra credit for participation.
Attendance is not mandatory, but you NEED to go to class because everything that is on the test is taught in depth in class. He makes this subject fun and interesting. Definitely take him.
I'm surprised that everybody is giving this guy good reviews...this was the worst class I have ever taken and I like sociology. Tests are too specific, and he grades based on favoritism. I've never got a C in any class except his and I worked harder in his class than any. I don't suggest taking him!
Anticipated this to be my favorite class, it is my least and worst grade. Tests are ridiculous and he is so full of himself. His in class examples and discussions are sometimes fun but thats where it ends. Tells you to ask questions and always responds it's in the book i cant wait for this semester to be over. i love soc but am not taking him again
Tests are overly specific even though he says he give you the benefit of the doubt. Got a question? ITS IN THE BOOK. This class has destroyed my gpa.
Tries to relate stories to concepts rather that adequately teach them, expects you to predict the exact wording he wants for test answers.
Kind of a hypocrite, tells you not to memorize info but then answers questions with "did you read" dropped my gpa a lot, i like the subject, just not a great teacher
I think this class is a sociological test, because there's no way this is a real class. He completely lies to us. Cancels classes every friday so we can write a paper, and tells us the exam is so easy, all we have to do is know the papers. Then we get the exam and it's like another classes exam, not 1 question we went over, terrible teacher
The best word I could use to describe this man would be lazy. He is not a very good teacher but rather goes stands up there and talks about his seemingly very boring life. His tests are unclear and you can tell he does not put much effort into them. The final looked like it was pieced together by a three year old. Really just avoid this man.
The quizzes are very unclear. He's a tough grader on them. Even though he doesn't take attendance, he knows who is there and it will help your grade at the end. He goes out of his way to give you points on the tests. In class role plays are ridiculous. No one knows what he expects. He has no problem humiliating a student. Overall, he can be okay.
Great Teacher! I learned a great deal! He is very inspirational. In order to do well in this class you have to put the time in and read.
I really liked this professor; he knows his material & makes sociology very interesting. I recommend you take this class, but be prepared to work. I definitely received my lowest grade in this class, however learned a great deal!
His lectures are very good and very interesting. The problem with him is his grading. His test questions are very unclear. Getting an A on papers in this class is a bit hard to do. His tests are curved which is probably the only good thing about his grading
Great man, knows what he's talking about and really cares about the students. He helped me through a tough semester last year and still asks me how I'm doing even though I'm no longer his student. Tests aren't easy but go to his office and he helps you so much. You have to go to every class to understand but they fly by because he's so interesting.
This guy is incapable of asking for what he wants. His lectures are off the point. His assignments and tests are poorly worded. I believe he has a personality disorder. Avoid this man like the plague.
Very nice man. He wants you to understand the material. Test are worded weird, sometimes not clearly enough. Only grades 4 of the 5 test you take, so if you do well on the first 4 test you do not need to take the final. He is always will to meet with students if they need help.
Professor Ciliberto is very unclear about what is going to be on the exams, although he thinks they will be easy and that he has gone over all of the material. I found his teaching style very challenging but perhaps thats just me.
I admit I chose this class because I thought sociology was a joke. Not with this man. Many times he repeats the same stories over again.Simply put, he does not provide you with anything useful for his tests, and the questions on these tests are like he expects you to be a mind reader. Stay Away!
Best Teacher! Very interesting and helpful!
This professor is very clear on what he expects from the beginning. In order to do well in this class you have to do the reading. My grade wasn't the best in this class but definitely my favorite! I learned alot!
VERY HARD DOES NOT EXPLAIN ANYTHING DO NOT TAKE!
I took Ciliberto for Urban Soc and Service Learning. He lets you use a cheat sheet for tests. You write a lot of papers(prob one every other week, about three pages long). He tries to make class fun and interesting, although some concepts are a little unclear. I like him though, and I enjoy going to his class. He's reasonable and a nice guy
He assigned a 4 page paper every other week or so but they were basically opinion based questions so it actually helps you learn the material. His office hours are very helpful and he actually knows what hes talking about. Lets you bring a cheat sheet on exams and final. You'll pass as long as you show that you're trying to.
Very passionate. Tons of writing. Impossible midterm. Copy down the book in your essay and you will get a b. Add a reallife application and you will get an a. Impossibly hard grader but hilarious guy.
Do not waste your time with this class. Tries to act like he cares and is there for his students but in reality acts like he knows everything and doesn't listen to concerns, writes rude comments on papers. In class lectures are about the same topics over and over or on tangents. Exams are terrible because the questions are too vague.
I don't know why anyone would say bad things about Ciliberto. Yes you have to put a lot of work into his class but if you follow his clear expectations you should be fine. READ THE BOOK..the essay prompts and exam questions come exactly from it. If he knows you're putting effort in he'll boost your grade. I would take a class with him again.
He is a hypocrit, he talks about how he cars about everyone. If u go to the office hours you will find out that he doesn't really mean it. He wrote some rude comments on my essay, and when i went to ask him about it, turned out that he didn't even read the whole thing.Nothing is creative enough for him
For a student that likes to plan and is very structured, this class and professor is absolute hell. He id a nice GUY, but as a teacher do not risk it. He is so unclear about what he wants from his student. He honestly just wants you to believe in this bull he says that is already common sense. Too much work for a gfcl class
Very vague, says he cares about the students on an individual level but all his lectures are about him and his life. He tells the same stories again and again, and never truly connects with his students. There is something about him that makes him hard to believe. He doesn't give any solid information on grading. He's also pretty rude.
This guy is a real piece of work. Avoid him if possible.
This Prof. was the BEST!!!You work toward your desired standard of excellence. If you do poorly in this course it is "Your fault"Do the work/readings and you will do well. If you don't you should not even be in college
Ciliberto is extremely knowledgeable. Hi lectures were great. You must READ and do the work ( syllabi)If you do not do well in this course you only have yourself to blame!
wow, glad to know that Dave had time to write good reviews for himself. the all caps on the word "read," the unnecessary quotation marks? totally not him... I commuted 3 times a week to take his class and I made sure not to wear a seat belt bc i would rather crash and die than hear his ego go off for 50 minutes. learned nothing from this bs class
The class is helpful, but Ciliberto makes you work for it. If you don't understand the 7 habits, you're screwed
Great guy with great motives behind his teaching but he grades way too hard and its impossible to get an A. He does not teach, he relies on us teaching ourselves, and if we teach ourselves the wrong material, he won't tell us until after the test. Easily the hardest class I have which is ridiculous since it's a leadership class
I wouldn't recommend any friend of mine to take his class, Impossible to get an A
This class may be the most pointless thing I've ever had to sit through. The key to this class is too just do the reading or you're screwed. He truly will help if you ask, but seriously try for another GFCL.
Overall great guy and will not fail you if you attempt to do the work. If you do your work well and keep up with the readings you can get a B easy.
YO. let me just start off by saying that this man has issues. His ego bigger than his bald head. Every week I contemplated drinking bleach so that I wouldn't have to sit in his classroom for almost 2 hours. If you want to pull out ur eyelashes one by one it'd be better than going to class i would rather get stitches every week for 15 weeks I'm out.
Great teacher! He knows his stuff
Very Knowledgable!
Smart and inspirational man but his GFCL class is extremely hard. I have learned a lot but it is not worth the intense work that comes with it. Nearly impossible to get an A. Good professor but try for a different GFCL. Lectures can also get a little repetitive and there are weekly group presentations.
Great Teacher! Very Smart!
Ciliberto is a very difficult professor that makes you work for your grade. He is very fair however. If you establish a good relationship with him and do all of the required work then getting a good grade is possible. He has a large ego and his teaching style and expectations can be quite annoying. Take his class if you want a challenge.
Professor Ciliberto is a good guy who truly cares about his students. With that being said, he definitely makes you earn your grade. He does help you out if he likes you as a person. Building a relationship with him is essential. Take him if you want to learn skills that will help you in your future career and life.
I took this class as a freshman here and it honestly changed the way I look at school and at life. Take this class if you want to really learn things about yourself and be inspired. I would recommend this class to anyone in a heartbeat.
Has no grading criteria, his grading system is random and is not concrete. Do not expect reasonable grade. (He does write his own reviews on here)
This professor does not teach, he repeats the same thing and grades unreasonably hard. Good guy, TERRIBLE teacher.
Take any other GFCL Class to get a good grade. Take Ciliberto to get a B. Makes up his grades, no basis for them.
I was going to switch out of this guys class because of the awful reviews on him but I am glad I didn't. If you put in the work its not bad at all. Yeah the guys a little confusing at some point but if you show you care, he will give you a good grade. Go to his office hours a lot to get a good grade. Also the class is interesting.
Look this is not the worst class and the work is not difficult, but ciliberto is has the biggest ego in the world. He grades based on his opinions of you and is very subjective. If you can take another one. If you have this class, try to have some fun and make jokes.
This class is based all on presentations, you do one a week with your group. The material is not that hard, it is just hard to figure out what exactly what he wants. A lot of the grade just depends on if you study and understand the material.
honestly the worst class I have ever had in my entire life. would rather eat snails than sit through this class again
He is well prepared for lectures, but he gives lots of weekly reading assignments and his classes are test heavy. The criteria for his papers arent really clear so you end up with confusing feedback.
Requires in depth reading, lots of easy to pass presentations as long as you give him what he wants. He generally cares about you and is willing to be a resource for you. He wont sugar coat it, he will tell you exactly what he thinks. You are guaranteed at least a C as long as you do the work no matter the quality.
Ciliberto is one of my most favorite teachers/professors of all time. His lecture keeps you entertained throughout the class. His Sociology class is based on capitalism and the information he gives is insightful. He only gives short answer tests (one of which is dropped). must be specific with definitions on test so read the chapter b4 taking it.
The worst professor I have ever had, Gillette stadium could not contain this guys ego
Get ready Freshman because you're about to have the time of your life. Not only is this man a tough grader, but he also has such a big ego that he has the class do a puzzle of his face. You have a weekly presentation and have to read the book three times if you want a good quiz grade. Hardest GFCL class there is so switching is the best option.
He is a great man and a good teacher but he is also a very tough grader. He helps you whenever he can and I think this is a valuable course but if you can go for a different teacher
In class, he can be a bit of a handful. He may come off as arrogant, but believe, GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS!!! It pays off so much and he will bump up your grade if you do. Get to know the man and you will succeed with no problem. Also, this is your class, you can submit quiz questions yourself or face his extremely vague quiz questions. Take him
This class was very hard coming in first semester freshman year. The quizzes are almost impossible.
Cool professor. GFCL class is unique in the way you get to run it yourselves.
Ciliberto does not get enough credit, he truly cares about his students and wants you to succeed! He can seem a bit crazy in class but you have to put in effort/ read to understand the material. Gives weekly quizzes but honestly as long as he sees you putting in effort he will bump your grade (bumped my B+ to an A- because I work hard)
he can definitely be a tough grader but he puts the time into helping his students. he does have very high self esteem but he wants us to try not flake out
He is a caring person but grades way too hard. He doesn't understand that even the smartest kids can't do well with his course material. Avoid him.
Professor Ciliberto is a very nice man, but he is easily one of the worst teachers Ive ever had. His grading methods are downright ridiculous and he has unrealistic expectations. Even the smartest kids would have points taken off tests for such trivial reasons. I would avoid if you can.
Ciliberto structures his class in a way that guarantees you will do well in it as long as you try. He can rub people the wrong way with his hyperactive personality and lectures, but it has brought me plenty of entertainment. Phrases you'll hear a lot: "Get it?" "Cool stuff, huh?" "GRIT!" I really enjoyed this class and his sociology class.
He seems to care about his students but when you come to him with a problem he's really unhelpful. His class was impossible to follow after we finished the mandatory books. His quizzes are also very difficult and graded harshly. You have to include every detail you can think of. A very difficult class that I still don't know the goal of.
Ciliberto grades very harshly. You could read everything assigned and he will still tell you that you are missing the point. Pay attention to the phrases and life lessons he mentions frequently because that's basically what you're graded on. Would not recommend if you have the option to not take his GFCL class.
Professor Ciliberto is a very tough teacher, with weekly papers that usually have to be 3 or more pages. If you do not read each chapter and understand it, you will be lost and he will give you a terrible grade. He's a caring guy that responds to concerns. Good thing is he never gives below a C-.
He only gives take home quizzes. His class is based all on yourself and how to be the best person you can. As long as you read the chapters and pay attention during the lectures you will do well in the class. He always pushes you to do your best and you can use your notes on tests and quizzes so TAKE NOTES AND PAY ATTENTION. Truly is a sweet man.
Professor Ciliberto's sociology class is awesome, and I have never had a teacher who so obviously cares about what they are teaching. The way he ties capitalism and economics into his sociology class was extremely helpful and insightful. If you read the book and include the information he wants in the papers you'll get a good grade.
Professor Ciliberto's class focuses on setting students up for success in college and the future. Test questions are specifically based on readings and the quiz questions. Tests are open notes so pay attention in class, do the assigned readings, and take detailed notes! He wants his students to succeed and is always there to help.
Doesn't seem to connect his own dots. His lectures are very far fetched and all over the place. He decides to do all his work through email and nothing is posted on our school used BlackBoard online.
Ciliberto's class is scattered and has no structure. He often brings up concepts and explains them very briefly, then makes them a large part of a test. You need to not only read the book, but also figure out what he means from topics he brings up in class. He grades strictly and you must write answers in his words not your own. Avoid his classes.
Very inconsistent with grading and is very boring. His whole class is lectures and a few papers and open book tests. Read the book and listen or else you will fail. Very particular and repeats himself 24/7. Says he wont fail a person but gives out random grades on the take home papers or tests. Wouldnt take again
his grading system has no guidelines whatsoever. you could say the sky is blue and he would say you are wrong. do not take him.
Although Mr. Ciliberto teaches in a way that is intriguing and makes you think you understand the material, you will soon find this not to be the case when you get your first paper back. If the class flops he will psychologically gaslight everyone into believing it is your fault for not reading the book when in reality he's the one to blame.
Amazing Lectures I learned so much Real life applications
All tests are open notes If you go to class and read the book it is an easy A
Notes can be used during tests The lowest test grade is dropped at the end A good learning experience that can be applied to your life
open note tests good group project lowest test grade is dropped by this professor concepts presented easily applied and understood
The class learns the material in group settings Groups even put the tests together 1 easy paper if you read and understand material This is a great course to prepare you for success
Amazing class You will learn so much about life in this course Just go to class and keep up with the readings The lowest grade is dropped at the end Notes may be used on all tests
Easy course to get a B in open note tests drops lowest grade just get the book and go to class
Expects you to read every night and attend every class or else you will not pass. Does not give you any opportunity to make up any work or get your grade up. Tests and papers are far from straightforward and are not meant for an intro-level Sociology course.
One of the Best classes here at Bryant Amazing lectures/Group presentations Take home tests (2) papers Tests(2) Notes may be used The real life applications in class are essential If someone does poorly in this course they are probably not college material
I agree, amazing lectures Also many opportunities to do well in this course Papers, with enough time to complete Tests, notes may be used Group presentation, easy to get a good grade Lowest grade is dropped Awesome course
Super course Good overall learning experience/Real life applications Tests : May use your notes Group presentations, where you learn also from other students Prof. drops one of your lowest grades at the end Loved this course
This is a must take course Great lectures easy tests/papers the lowest earned grade gets dropped This is an easy B
This not an easy class but a good class You have to go to class and have a boo lectures are exceptional and notes be used for tests Professor also drops your lowest grade
Just do the work and you will do well in this class Amazing lectures, and very clear grading system Notes may be used on tests, and he drops the lowest grade Going to class is mandatory, and get the book
This course prepares you for the work world You learn the necessary skills to succeed in the workplace groupwork and collaboration and students brainstorm and provide the questions for the tests Also, notes may be used Just put in the time to get the correct answers and it is an easy B or better One of the better classes at Bryant
Ciliberto clearly cares about his students and what he teaches but is often hypocritical. He tries to teach a "modern" style class that is based on application rather than regurgitation, but it does not work. We pretty much had to read and memorize an entire book for tests, as literally everything is mentioned on it. Answers must be very specific.
Great class All about teamwork and collaboration Tests and papers are easy with groupwork
Great course: You learn so much about the working world and how to succeed Once in a lifetime unique course
Fantastic class Prepares you for teamwork and the real world Notes may be used for all tests and Final exam Go to class get the book you will do well
Enjoyed learning in this class Must have a book and go to class everything else falls into place
Loved this class other than the Bryant IDEA for freshman there are NO other freshmen courses like this one Totally about the real working world Group work is very important
If you want an easy social science class, don't take this with him. He is an incredibly hard grader and doesn't give any sort of guidelines for how to pass. If you read the book cover to cover, study for hours, don't miss a single class and participate in class you'd be fine, but other than that good luck. Don't take him. It's not worth it.
This is such a good course. Learning so much I am taking this course now. Professor allows students notes during tests, and drops lowest test score You must attend class to understand applications to real life If you do poorly in this course, you are not putting in the time
I agree that this is a GREAT course You actually learn so much and you take it with you in real life Easy to get at least a B if you are willing to go to class and use your brain
You teach yourself the class.
Professor Ciliberto is a great person is very personable. As far as his class goes, he is a very harsh grader and is extremely unclear about what he wants. The class is basically figure everything out yourself along with your classmates. Not much homework just group work and weekly presentations which aren't bad and a couple tests and essays.
This is the wors professor I've ever had. He doesn't post grades. He doesn't hand back quizzes and there is never a right answer on his quizzes or tests. When you go ask him questions during office hours he says "you're in the wrong jungle" but there is no right jungle. He doesn't teach the class. Kids presentations are the "lectures".
This GFCL class, as a first semester freshman, was easily the WORST class I will take at Bryant. Throughout an essay he graded, stated the same phrase 3 times on the paper so he could take 10 points off for each written phrase. I do not want him again, seems like a nice guy and good teacher, but definitely needs to change his grading, not even fair
Professor Ciliberto is a very tough professor. He grades harshly and doesn't tell you why you got things wrong. He is very specific with the kinds of responses he wants and never has a clear answer for anything. There were weekly presentations which were easy, and a few tests and essays. You'll need to teach yourself the material in order to pass.
The truth about this class group collaboration, take- home quizzes, groups make the test questions, notes used for every test I re-wrote my paper by meeting an early deadline The only people who hate this class are the ones not doing any work I had 2 of them in my group
I fully agree with that last review I learned so much in this course If you are lazy or a hater do not take this course I also had one of these people in my group/ Horrible experience
The best advice I can give to other students If you want to memorize answers like in other courses, then do not take this course If you actually want to think and learn the material then this is a fantastic course Professor cares about creative learning
I learned so much in this course If you do not want to do the work do not take this course group projects are fun
You need to be mature in order to take this course. If you listen to what Professor Ciliberto is teaching and really apply yourself, the material will change your life. Take the course seriously, take the material seriously, and you will end up with skills to succeed in your relationships with people in your life.
Don't expect an easy A in this class. Instead, if you are willing to work for it, you will benefit immensely from taking this class. This was one of the best classes I have taken in my entire life & I have learned so much. There are easy (depending on your group) weekly presentations, weekly quizzes that can be tough, 2 papers, & a midterm & final.
There was no justification for my grade. This was one of the few classes I actually did not miss an assignment and I ended up with a C. They were done with high quality as well because I though the course itself was interesting, but he had no help in that. Random pop quiz we had, I got a C-. He put a C- on the piece of paper and gave me no reason.
Cool lad
Do not take! There are weekly presentations, weekly quizzes, and long exams. You make up your own questions for the exam but if you do not word your answers the way HE does, he will mark them wrong. His class will give you a headache and it is not worth the trouble.
I really enjoyed this class, you do have to do work but if you show him you care about getting your work done and you actually get it done you will receive a good grade no matter what you get on the tests and there are only three tests.
great professor. be sure to get the textbook
If you show up to class and take notes, you should have no problem in this class. Be sure to get the textbook and do the readings, that will also help you participate in class, which he loves. The exams are easy, and you just have to be prepared and he offers you to bring a notecard to every exam. Would definitely take a class with him again!
Professor Ciliberto is a very knowledgeable person. He lectures all class, and you must take notes. He goes off the textbook, don't read it just look at the chapter summaries. The tests are the only grades each one is worth 20%. There are six tests total, he drops the lowest one. Overall great teacher. Really interesting lectures. Learned a lot.
