HE IS A GREAT PROF. HE TELLS A LOT OF ANECDOTS. THE WHOLE CLASS IS FULL OF LAUGH. When his homework is assigned, it's better to finish it on time. he doen't accept overdue homework. he is a fair grader.

Very Best Professor. Very clear and very smart. He teaches very well. But be careful his homework. He doesn't accept w/o typing. His grade is fair for all students. His presentation assignment is also fair for students. You should take his class if you want improving in English Communication Skills. Take his class early.

Excellent professor!He is always smiling.I never fall asleep in his class. Don't worry about the presentation, it's not difficult, and good for freshman to practice!

Prof. Costello is a very thoughtful and helpful person. He really cares about the students a lot and always makes sure that everyone understands the topic. He is fair and wants you to get a good grade. Highly recommended, you're lucky if you got him as your teacher.

The way he teaches is very clear and well organized. His homework is not that much, but u have to do it because if u don't do it, it will greatly hurt ur grade. Also have 4 presentations in his class. It is very easy to get pass it.

This class is a must for the majors. It really should be 4 credits or split it over 2 semesters. There really is that much work. But it is doable. Be prepared to study a lot. Professor is really great and helps you understand. Best to read material before the lectures and come with questions. And try not to miss a class, it's like missing a week!

Helps make confidence to speak. I was very nervous before this class. Now I am still nervous but I can speak before other people. I know how to make good speeches and can do it. I am confident now and can speak in the front of classroom before many people.

You need to spend a lot of time to read, do the exercises and practice transcriptions. Definitely read in advance and get in a study group to practice. Prof. Costello does a great job explaining all the concepts and answering questions in an understandable way. He knows his stuff and is clear and organized, a real professional.

His hard is very hard but he helps everyone get through it. He is very kind and is there for his students. Mine was ment to be in class but turned into online from COVID. There were 5 quizzes around and he dropped the lost mark. There was a midterm and a final. As long as you keep up your work you should do well.

We switched to online classes due to COVID. I was concerned that the quality of classes would suffer. This is a foundation course for Speech Pathology so we must know this material for our future. Professor Costello did an amazing job with the online classes! I feel I learned more because I could listen to the recorded lectures again and again.

We went to online instruction because of coronavirus. Prof. Costello helped us get through this more than any of my other professors. He is very caring. He understands students. He answered all my questions and emails and explaned everything so I can easily understand. Prof Costello is the best!

This was a hard course with a ton of difficult information to learn in a really short time. The book was overwhelming and confusing. Professor Costello's lectures were so clear and simple. Some of them I had to watch 3 times to understand, but I did understand everything! I don't see how any other professor could have taught this course any better!

Fun class for online and pretty easy to. He gives you a template to follow for the speeches. Just make sure you do each step of the template and you'll get a good grade. Miss a step and points come off. Exams were kind of hard, but easy if you watch the lectures. Good lectures if you have time to watch them. Fun class meetings. Great professor!

Professor Costello is a professor who truly cares if his students succeed. It is not an easy class because there is sooo much information you have to learn. But his lectures explain everything step by step, clear and easy to understand. Hint: read the material 1st, then watch the lectures s.l.o.w.l.y with pen and paper in hand. Repeat as necessary!

I studied phonetics before but learned more here. The class is asynchronous and good for the schedule, but you need motivation. Costello is A+ teacher.
