Texas History. Online course consists of 4 essays over enjoyable subjects from the early 1800's to the present. He makes himself available to his students and will help them as long as they are honestly trying.

Professor Cullen makes History so much fun!! He is a very nice teacher and knows the subject quite well. Take him if you can, and you won't regret it!!

Great lectures and somewhat hard tests but you can make up for that with the essays. At the end of the class I had a 87.5, he gave me a B and told me he rounded it up becasue I showed and participated. Cool Prof very educational!

Taking his online class was a breeze. HE makes u write three papers over one book and a couple of movies. I'm really good at the writing and I never had to take a test or study. He's awesome! If you have any ?, just e-mail him and he'll pretty much give you the answers.

3 tests, 5 in-class writing assignments. Enjoyable lecture. Take notes, he gives answers to test questions. Test questions confusing. Writing assignments equal +1 letter grade. Significant amount of reading required. Class lets out early daily. Overall a very nice teacher.

Great teacher! I never liked history until coming to Collin County. The 2 history prof. I had here were both awesome. Made the subject very interesting! I highly recommend Prof. Cullen. He knows how to keep you interested in the subject!

If you have a sense of humor, at all, you will love professor Cullen. His tests are fairly easy and he is an Irish beast, to say the least. He says what's on his mind and it's usually brilliant and funny. All around awesome teacher.

A good teacher with a good sense of humor but he is MOODY! for some reason he hated the class i was in and once cursed us out and send us out of class.

He is an amazing teacher. I hated histiry before I had him as a professor. If you read and come to class, you will do fine. He gives you the materials needed to do well. He will keep you interested . I recommend this class to anyone that has to take History I.

Great Teacher!! Good sense of humor too. Never left after 8pm in Monday night class. He said because of Monday Night Football but it was really because of his extreme preparation and lecturing in a way that was fast but to the point. Prepares you extremely well for tests. If you flunk it's your own fault.

This was my favorite teacher out of my whole experience in education! I learned more in his class than in any other class I have ever taken. I actually loved going to his class. He is to the point and once he says what he needs to say you are done with class, none of this the time has to end at the scheduled time. I love this teacher, and i had fun

great teacher. he really cares about his students. we got out early all of the time. he knows what he is teaching and is very funny. he kept my interest throughout the whole semester with funny comments and jokes. he prepares you for the tests. take this class if you are willing to do the reading and are up for a little bit of a challenge.

If you have a choice TAKE THIS CLASS! I think I have learned more in this class than ever before. And the cool thing is I LEARNED it instead of just memorizing it for the exam. He is very helpful for the tests and the writing assignments. His tests aren't hard just thought provoking. Very funny, too. Best class I've had at Quad C ever!

Amazing teacher. Great personality and teaching style. He keeps the class moving and involves students in the class. You do have to study for his tests, but everything is outlined and gone over in class for the most part. take him! you won't be sorry!

took for Texas History. Very funny interesting guy but he only gives THREE tests. NO papers NO extra credit NO curves. AKA you flunk one test and you don't pass the class. it was very stressful

This teacher is a students dream come true in terms of easiness. While he did have three writing assignments that were done in class, he gave you the topic in advance so you would have time to prepare for it. He even tells you exactly what he wants the essays on his tests to be about, he even tells you the topics he'll have on the test! I made a B

He's a great professor, he's funny and keeps your laughing. He did only give three test, so you do have to come to class. But he gives you outlines and study guides. What he teaches during lecture is what you're tested on. If you come to class, you pass.

He's a very funny prof; quick witted and enjoys cutting up with the class to keep the mood light. He has a real passion for what he teaches and wants you to learn. He has 4 tests and 3 essays in 1302, w/ an essay on each test worth 40 points, but he always gives you the essay subject weeks in advance. Combined essay grades can replace 1 test grade.

I took this class on line and we had 3 tests (including final) and 4 papers. We had to watch tapes and self study, but we also had a review of the test material (35 multiple choice questions) and the 2 short essays which made up each exam. It was great for me and if you study you will pass with A. He is fun and very helpful. I enjoyed this class.

Cullen was an amazing teacher. If you attend his classes you will get so much out of them, I barely had to study because I remembered everything from lecture. He uses video clips to help you visualize history as well. Very hilarious, make sure that you don't take his jokes seriously. He relates with crude humor sometimes but overall, wonderful.

This professor is amazing, out of all my years in school he is the 1st professor to really make history enjoyable, he jokes around and makes revelant links to todays world. He is an overall great professor and if your gonna take HIST 2 i highly recommend him!

he is extremely funny but i didnt really like his teaching style. only 3 tests including the finals, vrey hard with only 20 questions and an essay and a few writing assignment. i dont know how many people made an A in that class...but he is great as a person though

I think he was a great teacher. Not a blow off class but really makes you intrested in history. Very outgoing and crazy keeps you awake. I would recommend him to anyone. Great teacher. I really enjoyed taking his class. Gives essays but tell you the topic and even how to outline it. Easy B if you go to class.

The best prof. I've had at quad c! VERY FUN AND ENERGETIC class. He always let class out early and only coverede material that was on the test. Showed many clips which really helped learn the subject. There were only 3 tests and writting assignments but he always gave the topic b4 hand and had reviews posted. Recommend him to any1 taking hist1302.

Very funny professor, he makes history interesting. I took his online course and enjoy the review sessions as it gave you all the info you needed for the tests. You can't go wrong in taking any class he teaches.

Took Texas History. He does move very quickly in class and I didn't enjoy his teaching style very much. The tests were fair and requied a good deal of reading time. You'll get out what you put in for this class.

HE'S THE COOLEST HISTORY PROFESSOR ALIVE!! Highly recommend! He might be talking kinda fast but trust me you won't wanna miss his class. He explained things clearly. His examples sometimes are sarcastic but that's what entertain us;) He's HILARIOUS! 4 tests w/ essays + if ur satisfy wit your ave. score from first 3 tests then no need to take final!

i was scared at first by how fast he talkes, but i got used to him. class only last about 30mins but he gives you everything you need to know. test: 40% of grade for essay 60% of grade for 20 multi choice questions. attendednts is not mandatory, but i recommend going to get all the info needed for tests.

He is hilarious, yes he talks fast but not where you can't understand him.. plus class only lasted 30 min. I never studied, just listened and wrote down what he told me. He always tells you the essay questions 2 weeks before the test and thats what the most points count for anyways. final isnt mandatory either. Wish I had taken him for HIST 1301!!

Professor Cullen is fabulous!! I absolutely loved his Texas History (I am a History major) Tests are multiple choice with one essay that you pick the topic he offers two weeks in advance. If you don't get an "A" - you didn't try or show up for class. A very funny and fascinating person and his lectures are so interesting-you can't lose, trust me!

You see his name? Just GO. Don't question it. His classes help you understand some of the history in the book. Why and how and all that. He's funny. Yes, he talks fast, but I didn't really care. It keeps it interesting and he WILL emphasize the important stuff and clarify what he said if you ask. Yes, classes are short.

Professor Cullen is awesome! He is so intelligent very clear and knows what he is talking about! He made things easy to remember which was good for the tests even though they weren't extremely difficult. Pay attention to what he says and you'll do great! Also, he dismisses class early which helps if you have a short attention span!

GReat professor, very sarcastic which makes you remember things. Goes over the study guide and tells you what's gonna be on the test. Has two short question assignments which are very easy. As long as you study 3 days before the test, you'll A's it. Tells you what's on the test as he lectures too. Short and fast lectures but keeps your attention.

BEST. HISTORY. TEACHER. EVER. I absolutely HATED history and definitely did not look forward to taking it.. but i took this professor and came out with an A. The only grades are the tests so make sure to take good notes and study up before the tests. I bought the book and didn't open it once, so don't bother buying it.

I HATE history, but this class was fun. I took a Wed night 3 hour class & we always got out within an hour. He's funny, and not boring. Gives you a review before the test, which you do have to study for but he gives you the exact essay ?'s. Attendance isn't mandatory. Gives you a few answers before the test, and adds more points after. Can't fail.

Hands down, the most amazing teacher ever. If you hate History, then this is the guy for you. I think he could make dirt interesting!

VERY good Professor! Very funny and made class quite interesting. He moves rather fast, and you must ASK if you are confused, because he hardly ever goes over things twice. Just read the assigned chapters and listen in class and you are golden.I HIGHLY recommend this guy.

Most amazing teacher ever. He goes fast, but if you pay attention and make notes on the lecture notes he *gives* you, then you'll be just fine. When I took his History 2 class, I didn't even need to study or open the book because he made the stuff stick in my head. Just pay attention, don't get easily offended, and have fun, because he's fun!!

I really enjoyed this class. Professor Cullen is interesting and great fun. However, some of his jokes were disguised sexism which ruffles my feathers.

For someone that has always hated history, this is the best history class I have ever taken! He teaches in a way that makes you remember. After the first test I didn't even use the book still got B's and A's on test. Also he lets you out early EVERY DAY! I highly recommend this teacher.

I took Dr. Cullen for U.S. History and Texas History. He is one of the best teachers I have ever had. If you hate history you have to take it with him. He is truly an amazing teacher. You will be entertained the whole time. I wish he taught Government too. I would so take his class again. If you take him you will not be disappointed.

I loved Prof. Cullen. He is a very funny proffessor that keeps you on your toes and holding your sides.His tests are very straight forward. His test is 40% m/c and the other is the essay. The m/c is straight forward. The essay he looks for key points which he gives to you during class. Easy prof made a B but should have made an A make the effort!

Best teacher I've had a Collin. I went to every lecture because they were actually interesting..even though I'm not particularly into history. His story telling and explanations are great. He's very funny, enough to keep you paying attention. All you have to do is go to lecture, take notes and mark the things he says will be on the tests.

Mr. Cullen is a great teacher! I never have been interested in History, but he actually made me kind of like it. No projects or papers. && he never takes attendance. The tests are multiple choice && then there is an easy easy. He also GIVES you 3 multiple choice answeres before each test. Easy class!! His humor makes the class even better.

WOW! This prof is very animated, he is well prepared for every class, he never kept us for over half of the class period. Short and sweet lectures, he gives you note outlines. only 4 grades all semester. I would recommend attending all classes he is a trip. He always makes fun of students its great I wish I could take more of his classes.

Dr.Cullen talked so fast that I had to take a voice recorder to every single class. Yet his lecture was very clear and straightforward. He was also generous about my poor ESL English for his essay questions on exams. Because of that I was just able to keep focusing on the subject rather than my poor English. I just loved and enjoyed the course

I love Professor Cullen!! He is so animated and funny and really gives you alot of information about pertinent components of history and has most of his knowledge in his head. He is so knowledgeable and I am going to take him for TX history as well! I love his teaching and normally history is my most loathed subject but he makes it enjoyable.

He's very funny! I took the class during wintermester you dont need the textbook i made an A without the textbook. Take it during the winter he doesnt make you stay the whole time!!

Although people see him as easy & I agree to that. Dr. Cullen is one of my favorite professors. You can tell that he loves what he does not for the money but because he want his students to succeed. He's funny and intelligent. Anyone who sign up for his class will enjoy it.

A very organized and effective professor. I never cared about history and I found myself able to pay attention and truly learn the concepts he was teaching. His lectures cover exactly whats going to be on the test and his reviews are itemized to cover whats on the test. Plan on taking him again!

One word that describes Dr. Cullen: Amazing. He is there if you need any help and knows his History! I never liked History my entire life, but he changed that for me! Take him, you won't regret it. His classes lasted on average 30 minutes. This makes it a very fast paced class. Note taking and attendance is imperative. He is a great professor though! Awesome personality, and if you can keep up with him you will do great. 5 tests. no essays or other assignments.

Dr Cullen was great. I took his 3 weekend class and though it was really fast paced, it was fairly simple. Lots of note taking and he didn't mind laptops which was easy. Prof Cullen is one of the best professors at collin college he explains everything well and if you dont understand he can explain to u. his tests are suer easy if u attend class and do the study guide. dont miss the review days, he basically tells you whats on the test. TAKE HIM!!!

I took the 3 wkend Express class and I would highly recommend it! The classes are SHORT, maybe an hour and a half, and he talks fast so you've GOT to pay attention to him. If you need clarification, throw your hand up and ask him. The only issue I had was with the essay part of the quizzes (4 ttl). Graded strict. Never understood what he wanted.

Easily my favorite Professor at Collin. He keeps class short and interesting. Four test grades make up your grade. Essays are easy, he explains what he wants on them and tells you what will be on the tests. Take him!!!

I usually sleep through history, but he managed to keep me and the rest of the class up with his humor! He explains what he wants on the essay portion of the test and emphasizes key points a day before the test. Made an A and never opened the textbook.

One of the best professors at collin for history classes by far! I had no interest in history but easily made an A because he tells you exactly whats on the 4 tests and essay portion and makes class interesting. I highly recommend this professor.

I LOVE the way this professor teaches. He knows his stuff and is passionate about it. He is helpful. His class isn't easy it helps to study. I took the express class and recorded all his lecture, so it helped me to get A easily. He is not picky on grading at all. If you dont like history and just want to pass it in a short time, take his class

It is a very easy class if you take good notes! He is straight to the point so you dont have to write any bullshhhhh down. You will get all the answers for the test. He also lets you out early!

One of my most favorite professors I've ever had. He is straight to the point and tells you everything you need to know. This was a very easy class to pass but it wasn't a blow-off class. This was the fist time I've ever enjoyed history, because he made it interesting. I would highly recommend him, just take his class!

He was a good professor and I never had to even use my book. He does everything off power-points. I would not take him again only because I didn't learn very much, he crammed way too much into one class and then let you out early every time. Funny guy though but hard to get an A..

Hes a nice very spunky old man. That being said he goes over a lot of material and doesn't really do a review. he gives a review day where he steps out of the class and lets the class discuss things, not very productive most students leave. He makes it interesting for the most part but I wouldn't recommend him because reviews are important for an A

Dr.Cullen is hilarious! If you don't understand/like sarcasm, don't take him. He gives us lecture outlines and you just type/full it in during lecture- and he lets you know what will be on the test during lectures. There is an essay on the test but he gives you the essay themes beforehand and goes over them as well. He's funny & a great professor

MUST TAKE! Dr. Cullen is HILARIOUS - even at 8AM. Lectures are shortto the point and clear outlines are provided. Attendance not mandatory but his lectures cover everything to know for the test. 5 exams (multi choice1 essay Q) are averaged to make up semester grade and final is not cumulative, no HWextra credit (don't trip, you wont need it).

Took him for Fall 2014 and he's one of the best professor's at Collin so far. Explains material very well. Is willing to answer questions. Lectures are pretty fast pace but very understandable. You have no excuse to not pass this class. It's an easy A. As long as you attend every class and take notes to whatever he's says, you'll do fine.

I love Dr. Cullen! He is excellent! Five tests consisting of 20 multiple choice questions followed by an essay. Great study guides for each test. I recorded all of his lectures and actually enjoyed listening to them again. Every class is 30 minutes or less. One was actually 15 minutes. He is hilarious too. I loved his sarcasm!

This professor is the best for HIST 1302, super easy, make sure to record his lecture and you are good to get the A!!

Professor Cullen is great! He keeps your attention very well by adding some humor to the lectures, and I found him to be quite hilarious. His lectures are short, but very concise and to the point. His tests are really easy, you barely have to study. I would recommend him to anybody and would definitely take him again.

He gives fastest and funniest lectures, 30-45min of class. pretty detailed lectures. no quizzes or assignements, only exams. It's a really simple class and easy to get an A. This teacher will make you love history.

Prof. Cullen is great, I looked forward to each class because they were short and funny. I enjoyed his addition of the cultural and presidential thought processes instead of just dates and name memorization. I suggest recording the lecture (because it is a lot of info within 45 minutes) Then go back and read over his outlines.

Probably the easiest class I've taken at Collin. Fast paced 30 minute lecture. Tells you literally exactly what is on the exam. You don't need the textbook. Attendance not required but strongly recommended. Easy A if you put the effort in (which isn't much). You don't even have to try for a B.

Wonderful professor! I have taken two History classes with him and have never regretted it. Other than for tests I don't remember staying for the duration of the entire class period. Dr. Cullen talks fast. He knows his stuff. So be ready to take notes quickly. He is very passionate, caring, and makes History fun! Hard work will pay off

Prof Cullen is a really interesting teacher. He's funny. He kept our classes short which I very much appreciated. This didn't effect my grade either. If you pay attention, study his lecture outline, read the chapters, you'll do well on the tests. Only 5 tests that make up the grade, last 2 were multiple choice only.

I took Prof Cullen for HIST1302 and absolutely loved the class! I don't like history and thought I wouldn't like this class, but it was great! The tests were not difficult. He made sure everyone was well prepared for them by going over everything thats going to be on them. Tests are multiple choice plus a short essay. Take this class!

Great professor who makes the topics relatable to the real world.

It's been several years since I had Dr Cullen. He managed to pique my non-interest in history sheerly through his love and passion of the subject--I was a much older student attempting to finish my own degree after raising 3 children. I found him to be fair, albeit many of the younger crowd seemed disgruntled with his no cellphone policy.
