He is the best. Writes all the notes on the board so all you have to do is copy it and study. Also he's a nice person(too bad some people don't give him the respect he deserves)

This professor was terribly boring. You cannot keep up with his dry lectures therefore half of the class cut.You are better off teaching the material to yourself and not show up to his class!
he is a really good teacher a nd really knows his stuff. sometimes it could feel boring though but more not than yes.
His exams were sort of on the tricky side. His lectures are extremely boring but very necessary to get a good grade on the exams! I never used the book and I did well. Study the notes!!!

Direct what you get on his tests is what you get in the class. 3 tests pretty tricky. You never have to show up to class.

This professor is weird. He shakes while he teaches (no, he's not old) and doesn't care about what goes on in the classroom. He only supports those who are his kind. I didn't learn anything from this professor and I terribly regret taking his class.

I definitely agree with those that say he is not difficult. The exams are based on the notes and the homework from the labs. If you study those well, you will do fine... You will do bad if you're absent alot or dont like to take notes!

The most boring class ever. Reads out of his notes. Tests are somewhat tricky. Puts you to sleep every lesson and half the class cuts. I received my lowest grade ever in his class. I would not recommend him.

I agree that if your GPA is >3.0 you will do find in his class. I know at least 4 people who got A's in his class,including myself. ha.

This is the worst class I took at this school, the man never stopped talking going on and on about silly things. The class was boring, but his exams are based on his notes but he should also know that this in Undergrad not Grad school. This man sunk my GPA don't take him.

He will make u want to sleep during the lecture. However, his exams are pretty easy (Right from his notes). I didn't even buy the textbook and still manage get a A- in the class. Go figure......

This guy is a great teacher who makes the concepts and mathematics easier than other profs. Tells you exactly what to focus on for exams and very clear class sessions and notes. Fun stock valuation assignment which is used to help your grade.DON'T BE AFRAID THE WAY HE FIRST COMES OFF TAKE HIS CLASS.Grade B-.
1st of all, this class is bad enuf as it is n this guy makes it WORSE! He bables so much you need 6 cups of coffee to stay awake. He does not give any breaks or curve or anything.If your avg is a 69.5 and u need a 70 to pass, guess what? You fail! Im not kid. Don't even think of askin q's in class. He always says there's no time. HE IS A NIGHTMARE!

His class is so boring! You can fall asleep! He writes all the notes on the bored, and that's all you have to know in addition to the text. His tests are quite hard! Only take him if you are willing to study and work. Final grade is only based on tests!
This class is a very hard class and it involves a lot of technicalities. This professor is not the best professor for this class because he gives you a lot of the matterials at once. You can never finish his exams on time unless you know a lot of the material before you start the course. Besides his long lectures, his exams are more annoying.

If you're Russian then he's the professor for you! All the Russians seem to be happy in his class for some reason ... especially during the exams. It's the Asian kids who had to work hard. The prof is ok and gets nervous around girls while teaching. Good luck!

Hardest Exams I've ever taken. Grades them easily though. Class attendance is pertinent for high test scores b/c tests are straight from notes. Not an easy way out but if your good student and study hard it's very possible to get A. Slackers be warned!
I think this prof. is the best. Very straight forward and explains things clearly and in an organized fashion - moves slow enough for everyone to understand - tests are straight forward from notes - study that and pay attention and you'll get an A! I'd take him for future classes.
People say he is boring because his voice is monotonous. But he is an excellent professor. He gives very thorough and organized notes and has a structured teaching method which is sooo helpful. The class is not easy but he takes it slowly so it is easy to understand. I loved it. I definitely recommend.
Very Standard teacher. He loves to introduce for 30 minutes and if class is canceled, be careful... He will make you make it up with your other class time! His final is hard, and clumped the last 2 chapters in a sheet =(
I would call this guy a TEACHER not a professor, because he teaches, he really wants you to learn the material. Yes he is a little boring, but its because he wants you to learn. Gave 3 tests, no final, no papers, tests straight from notes and homeworks, teaches in real organized and clear fashion with most of the notes you need to take written on the board. If you study take notes, study them, and understand how to do the homework, you should have no trouble getting an A. Would take him for any course.
I have taken him for several economic classes and have always received and A. He is straight forward and explains things clearly.Make sure you take great notes and study form them. Tests are mainly form lectures and notes.
I don't think he is 1 of the best prof. His exams are very hard. You MUST take notes...even what he doesn't write on the board. His exams are essays and he wants details. He gave out hw but did not have it back to us prior to exam so that wouldn't tell us what we had wrong since it it helpful for the exam. He isn't bad...but not great either.
Explains alot but its b/c its needed 4 exams. A guaranteed A if you study notes. He is the best 215 prof. at QC. Class is boring. Exams r kinda difficult, mostly essays with 10 multiple choice. Very thorough. A nice guy as well, not like some of those stuck up jerks at QC. He provides you with everything you need to know for the exams with his note
this guy is the definition of what a professor should be. he explains everything, is straight forward, doesnt try to trick the class, and he is a great guy. he is really a sweetheart, you can tell all he wants is for his students to do well....highly recommended!!!!

i took this prof. in the fall 2007 session. he gives 2 exams and one final. about 35 multiple choice questions. his tests are based on what he goes over in class. he also gives curves. i think he is a fair professor as far as grading and the material he holds you responsible for. this is a 101 class and he teaches 101 material. no homework.
his classes are interesting. i was never interested in economics before. as long as you come to the class and make sure you have all the notes, you'll be fine. exams are mostly from the notes rather than from the text.

This Professor does not Teach, I Repeat does not teach. His lectures are directly from the TXT-book. He makes allot of mistakes, Be very careful what he puts down on the board. Double check what he writes down. Avoid at all cost, if you want to learn. Study from Text book. He is not helpful by the way...

okay...less strict than the 241, but he is still challenging because of his "30 minute" introductions. ESPECIALLY WITH A RECESSION. Stick with the notes!!! use the book. the 351 book works, but the 241 does not. all i have to say. study hard!!
Nice guy. Very knowledgable. Harder than Econ 215. Tests are mainly from notes. The text book is sometimes necessary to clarify what was done in class. He is a lenient grader when it comes to the essays but the multiple choice can be tricky. If you make an effort you can get a good grade.
He knows his subject, but do not get fooled he believes that the average for the class should be in upper 70.Don?t waist your money on new edition book he uses notes from past edition. HW in aplia no points for that .Test are very different from problems done in the class. Gives partial points in the test; no curve.
Very Good professor! I would recommand to anyone that needs to take 249. His teaching method is straight forward and bc of that the material is clear and easy to understand. Does not curve!!! and on top of that you have to memorize all the formulas that he teaches. Will not give them out for the exam.
Do not waste your time with this guy. He is probably the worst professor to take for econ 249. Does not teach the material properly but expects you to know everything since he does. Wastes the first 15 minutes of class with his explanations about life that make no sense.
All I know is I received 90s on the first two exams, a 9/10 on the stock valuation project and my overall grade in the class was a B,which seemed a little low to me. Other than that he's fairly clear but incredibly boring. Out of the seventy students in the class only twenty showed up on a consistent basis; it's that monotonous.

Tests are hard, the whole class cheats, you have to memorize a ton of formulas, (only way is by cheating), All he does is talk, talk and talk more; he says UMMM every 30 seconds; he uses every second of class time and its hard to stay awake; to pass though you must go and take notes book is not used at all, study your notes and have the formulas..

His notes are all over the place, and zero clarification. Never use text book and never explain you how to get the answer. He just copy everything from his little sheets, and except the students to understand. Do not take him. I know ill pass because I'm reading from textbook. The lab isn't helpful and the online lab isn't good either.

Currently taking him, for TWO classes. Worse decision ever. He is one of the worst professors ever. Walks in at least 10 min late every class, keeps you that extra 10-15 min everyday even though its his own fault. Never thinks hes wrong. Always just writing stuff on the board with his little sheets of paper that are predone problems. Not helpful.
I would definitely NOT recommend him. His lectures are confusing, as he tends to talk continuously so it isn't quite possible to differentiate what information is necessary for the course and whats not. Minimal review for exams which are far from helpful. 2 exams and a final. Take someone else, you'll be happy you did!

EXCELLENT PROFESSOR,LECTURES WERE CLARE AND PRECISE.MATERIALS ON EXAMS WERE MOSTLY WHAT WAS GIVEN AS HOMEWORK.I THOUGHT HE WAS REALLY GOOD COMPARE TO A LOT OF PROFESSORS, HOWEVER, THE ONLY ISSUE I HAD WAS, THE EXAMS WERE A LITTLE TOO MUCH WITH CONSIDERING TIME. THEY WERE QUESTIONS THAT REQUIRE 2.5 HOURS WHICH WAS GIVEN IN ONLY 1.00 HOUR.
DON'T TAKE HIM!! This Professor is horrible!! You will regret taking him. He assigns midterm, final and 2 hws. When he sees something wrong on your hws, he reports you to the chairperson of the dept. for having same similar hw with another student in class that he had assigned and makes you suffer til the following semester with INC on your record.
DO NOT TAKE! He is such a boring professor and he talks non stop. He sounds like chandler (friends) and says "uhm" in every single sentence. He assigns 2 exams and final, he makes you study everything but gives only a fraction of what he taught. He assigns online lab hw for 5 pts of grade and its so hard. I got a B- and I work my butt off.

he is a good professor always spends the first 10 min reviewing last classes material, 2 hw assigments midtermfinal, keep up with the financial markets and you will be able to keep up with his class. need to read the text for greater understanding. notes and lectures are good for hw and preparation for exams, but text is good for reassurance.
Basically, imagine teaching yourself a topic, and then approaching a professional to tell you if you got it right or not. That's this class. He obviously knows what he's teaching, but maybe being a professor isn't quite his calling. Prepare to do it all yourself. You don't know what the assignments or exams have until you get it. This class is tough. However, he is a great professor. Know his stuff for sure. Don't miss ANY classes. All the test come from in class examples. The textbook is not needed. And the online is useless. Just go to class and take GREAT notes
This guy is easily the worst professor I have ever had. Guy shows up 45 minutes late two days in a row and expects people to be there for the whole class once he shows up. Likes to write things on the board, but is so sloppy that it takes him more time to explain what he just wrote than anything else he does. Avoid this awful class at all costs.

I already took this course in high school, knew he material 100%, and still got a b. Its not his fault that he never shows up to class or teaches us relevant test material, he honestly does not know how. Read all you want, study all you want, you can not get an a.
Worst professor i had in queens college .like to make buy an app for attendance that he don't know how to use than blam it on the app or you because you didn't try. Hard tests. . Class is pretty tough, but if you pay attention to lectures and take good notes you can pass the exams. Can be a little unclear sometimes during lecture and what will be on the exam, but a good professor overall. Gives good side info on stock market history and wall street. If you are into corp finance and markets then this class is for you.
I am a senior in College and this is the worst class I have ever taken. Please listen and do not take this course he should be fired as a professor. Has a few papers in his hand the whole semester and thinks you should know what he is saying. STAY AWAY listen to me.

This professor has been a constant hassle throughout this semester. He expects us to come to class when he's stuck in traffic for 5 hours, makes us schedule an appointment for our final despite "asking" for a proctor in his absence during the regularly scheduled time, and just barely covers the material that's actually on the exams. Not recommended

Well informed but unorganized . Wouldn't recommend him if you're not self motivated. His notes and lectures are messy but the material clearly applies to the test. Study the formulas and all is well. Taking him again for money and banking. Hes lenient.
This is the worst professor I have ever had... He has single handedly destroyed my GPA. There are two tests in this class which have nothing to do with anything he talks about in class. He comes in late every other day and blames it on traffic. My biggest problem with him is the work in class is a joke and the tests are impossible. WorstTeacher
If you care about your future academic career, avoid this man. He shows up late to almost every class, gives homework that has nothing to do with the exams, and does not know how to teach. I'm a straight-A student and he singlehandedly ruined my GPA. QC needs to get rid of him or at least give another option for the mandatory Money & Banking class.
I took him for BUS 241 in Fall 2019. His Lecture is clear and precise. Stay up to date with your homework, both on MYFINANCE LAB and supplement homework and you will pass this class. He is very reasonable with his grading. He understands that we are students and not professionals as such he doesn't expects assignment of be extraordinary.
Be ready to learn and work for your grade, you need to be present at all classes! Studying is a must and asking questions, very knowledgeable teacher of the subject matter.

Beware that the midterm (40%) and final (45%) makes up 85% of your final grade. Finish string of the class, it happens that we must read 8 chapters of the book for final exam. My question us why you did not mention that before? He kept Jumping from one topic to the other. Mid-term exam questions were off-topic . Not having any arrangement. School should Reimburse.
The dude is all over the place. His lectures don't match the homework. Also, he takes attendance even though the college has a policy against doing that.
Doesn't know how to teach. Assigned us a ton of work that have nothing to do with the tests. Project was ridiculous. Plus, he was behind on the lessons by weeks so he kept pushing back the deadlines for the hws. Spends too much time talking about the pandemic and how these are tough times instead of using the time to teach.
Even when you read I do not know where his questions comes from. Mid-term exam he ended up giving more than 10 point to each one. You must buy TopHat which monitored the exams ( avoid cheating according to him) instead of teaching that is the only thing he cares about. He talks for the whole hour and 15 min, does not make power point slides available to you from the beginning because he thinks people won't show up, and you gonna have to take pictures or take notes like crazy.

Lectures are boring and he has the tendency to say "and the such". Has 1 project, and you only have to answer 5 questions per HW and the such. Don't study, cheat and the such.

David Debora is a very average professor, and although he can be a boring man, he is Online Savvy. Pearson costs money, but everything is accessible there including the class assignments, hws, and exams. Respected.

Profesor Deborah may not be the most interesting instructor to listen to but he certainly tries. You only need to answer 5 questions per HW in order to get full credit, 1 excel project which isn't too time consuming and 1 midterm/Final. The exams are test heavy with 60+ questions but mostly multiple choice. If you put in the effort you'll do good.
Amazing professer . Clear grading criteria. Explains everything very well. Post all the lecture slides on bright space so you can study for tests. Hw is not to heavy . Hw , tests and quizzes are all online on one website. Definitely recommend taking his course.
This professor has a unique teaching style, but engaging with it can pay off. The workload is heavy, but using study tools like unstuck AI helped me stay on top of it. Overall, a challenging but rewarding class.
If you want to learn DO NOT take him. He spends the entire time talking while sitting in his chair and barely engages with the students. He jumps erratically between different slide decks, making the class incredibly confusing. He doesn't take attendance himself, relying on online attendance instead, and then penalizes everyone during the final.
He plops down and yaps for the entirety of lecture. Exams were taken in class on your own remote devices, weekly quizzes and hws on online platforms,and a project. Attendance wasn't mandatory and I couldn't see why anyone would attend incredibly boring. You won't learn a thing but you'll pass so if you're looking for an easy A with lil work take it
The professor is dull and the lectures are boring, but the information is manageable if you do the weekly homework and read the textbook chapters outside of class. The Pearson learning portal used in this class is horrible and has many issues that the professor is not properly equipped to address or solve.
Professor Debora is a laid-back online savvy person. Although his lectures are quite boring but his attendance participation taken through online. He also posts reading materials for the chapters he goes through each classes. The mid term/Final exams were online through Pearson. If you want to take his class to save your GPA I would recommend him.
