cool guy. likes to joke to lighten the mood. Always gets his point accross. very good teacher.

You will not find a better science professor. You will be amazed by what you can learn from this man. He is always cheerful and entertaining, and very down to earth. A must for science majors.

Really makes you think. Very considerate to students and always tries to find new and exciting ways to teach. Very cool guy. I took him twice.

You would think this class is an easy A...I dropped because I was failing majority of his quizzes. For some odd reason I found myself confused and mad from how RANDOM his quizzes and tests were. One of those teachers where it can be easy and yet difficult at the same time...don't take too lightly!

Very good professor. Very demanding though. His quizes and test are difficult and are meant to go along with his lectures. Mostly nothing is out of the book. So dont bother in buying it. Take good notes and pay attention. Classs is very intertaining and he makes lecture fun and not boring. I recomend him but be prepare to study. He's tough.

health science was cool. it'll b easy jus as long as u take good notes. he says "u can use the book as reference but its not required" -so dont buy it.. dont bother ditching class cuz u'll need the notes that's y im failing. so sad! but then again im an idiot! lol. he has cool stories. and lectures are interesting

Extremely passionate with his work, and it shows in his teaching. Very knowledgable and efficient. Brings excitement to the classroom. Time is well spent. I definately reccommend taking any of his courses.

Crazy bodybuilder guy, awsome awsome teacher, class is so exciting with him, so many good jokes. Lots of great cop/corner stories that are amazing. Class was just an average class when it comes to learning, just take good notes and you will do fine.

He is such a fun teacher...very enthusiastic and loves to teach...it was an easy class because he made it easy. He keeps you interested so you learn....i loved his class and i recommend it to anyone

one of the better teachers that i have ever had. i really didnt like biology before taking this class, but now i am considering majoring in it. no need for a book, just good notes, participation, and most importantly, be there every day! the attendace isnt too bad though, he was absent a good 4 days within the first 5 weeks.

Dorado is a great teacher. Very interactive and helpful with students. Class is often humorus, yett always on task. Just show up in class an study a little bit for exams and you'll do fine*

Mr. Dorado is frickin hilarious! Every time I went to class I laughed so hard. Note taking is crucial for this class and the tests are kind not the easiest. So you have to work a bit to get an A.

This class is not a breeze! It is important to go to class for the notes. We never used the text. Exams are kind of hard and Dorado always emphasizes applying what you have learned not just repeating what you have learned. He grades the exams harsh. But if you got to him for help and show you are making an effort he will help you thru it.

dorado's class is really fun. you learn really interesting things that apply to your daily life. however, his exams are written really weirdly. the questions aren't always clear and the answers are sometimes too simple. the good thing is that you don't really have to study much for them... u just have to remember what he says in class.

interesting class, he loves what he teaches, but has a different style. he tries to get students to think for themselves by giving all take home test/quiz/essay that dont seem to relate to class, you have to make a deeper connection. do not buy book, he gives lots of handouts, all info from lectures, i went to class 25% of time and got a C.

He gives pretty interesting lectures. It's almost difficult to fall asleep in that class- he keeps it fun. The tests and exams are pretty chill, just pay attention for the lectures and if u can piece the bits of info together, the exams are cake (sorta).

i am a straight A student and i got a C. Dorado is a cool guy and his lectures are fun/interesting. but his exams are just straight up weird! the questions look like they were written for idiots by idiots. it's almost as if they were too obvious and too easy that you miss them, if that makes any sense.should get tests Q's from a professional source

Dorados exams require students to apply everything important within lectures. Respects students who make an honorable effort. Relates a lot of science with stories and daily interaction. A great teacher, and I would recommend if you want to gain a better understanding of biology, while earning a grade you honestly deserve. Not difficult, just fair.

Dorado is a tough teacher! I love him though! He teaches the way all teachers should teach. If you want an easy class, don't take him. If you want to actually learn something to apply to your life, and not just take standardized tests, you'll love him just like I do!

Very nice teacher. Knows his stuff. Just study the text for tests. You can tell he teaches for the kids not for the money or status. I like him and recommend his classes.

Very nice teacher, down to earth. And I'm surprised he doesn't have a chili pepper yet...so I gave him one...lol Science is soooo not my forte, but he explains it in a way that I do understand.

doesnt give homework his quizzes r easy, his tests r a bit confusing b/c he makes the questions confusing ,as long as u read the book youll do fine on the tests. he would cancel class once in a while. he goes off topic but kinof makes em related to the class lecture. his final is a take home exam kina hard. overall i would give him an A easy class

Lol, reading the below comment about the study guide made me laugh because that is so Dorado. I thought he was a great teacher. I actually had him Spring 08 at 7:30 am. I never once fell asleep, he is funny, clear, but very challenging. I got an A but I worked my butt off for it. Glad to see he's still teaching! Dont get the book, we never used!

For all the people complaining about him locking the door if you're late, easy solution....DON'T BE LATE! I actually wish more teachers would do this because students take advantage and will come in late all the time. It's disruptive and rude, and basically tells the the teacher, "I don't respect you or your class." Grow up, people.

Dorado is a cool guy. Attendance is not mandatory, but you should probably go because there is barely a connection between his lectures and his tests so if you don't even hear the lectures you're completely screwed. His quizzes are based off of the book reading which is usually 60-80 pages per quiz, and the topics are not discussed at all in class.

If you have a hard time studying, don't take him. If you actually want to take the greatest teacher at Fullerton College and learn something, TAKE him! Sure he locks the door, just don't be late. I learned a lot, even though I sat in the back I felt very engaged.

A great and interesting teacher, take this class if you actually want to learn a lot but you probably won't get an A at least not easily. He has pretty hard tests to you really have to study and go to every class and pay attention. Never gives HW, you don't need the book.

Kind of an odd teacher. has alot of rules but is nice about them. he does tell alot of stories. doesnt acept late people at all so dont go if your late. test are difficult but puts the test in the library after so you can see them. Not a normal teacher. good and bad way

Excellent professor. Do not take his class if you do not want to learn something useful. It is hard work but everything is useful information. He is very dynamic and passionate about his subject (biology - health). Everyone says you cannot get an A, not true. I did and I majorly messed up an assignment, but after explaining thought process, got anA

Prof Dorado is very intelligent. He knows what he's talking about and he has the best stories to tell that always tie in to what he's lecturing. He gives a lot of take home quizzes, so that's always nice! He's funny too and is just great at what he does. Always pay attention and try not to miss class because you will miss out on a lot.

Dorado is a very laid back dude. His stories keep you entertained and relate to the lectures most of the time. He doesn't take attendance but his classes are always a joy and you always get out early. Tests and quizzes come mostly from the reading though.

Cool Guy who definitely knows the subject. Attendance is not mandatory but if you want to pass the class, do not miss a single day because he covers a lot of material every class. Tests and quizzes are pretty hard. Out of a class of about 50 i think we ended with 20-25 due to kids dropping because they were failing. Not an easy passing grade.

Dr.Dorado is a great professor! he will try to weed out those who are not interested the first two weeks. However if you stick with it you will learn an enormous amount of info. I highly recommend taking for those interested in fitness and nutrition. Cell phone policy is strict however every class un interrupted got out 5-30min early

He's such a great teacher. He knows every things about Bio and very funny guys. Take him if u really want to learn new things. His exam is quite hard

Fun class. He was a coroner and marine biologist so he has lots of interesting stories. Be on time and study. No harder than any other health class

I recommend taking this course online. I'm a business major and received an A- in the class. If I can do it, so can you. Lazy people will fail this class. One piece of advice, do the work in advance!

Honestly the best teacher I have ever had. I am a Biology major so I am obviously very into the subject matter, But Dorado had a way of making very complex information easy to understand. A very experienced man, be ready for stories, good stories mostly.

I've had dozens of professors in my college career and this guy is by far my favorite. Bio can be grueling because of how much information is there. He makes sure you understand what he's teaching instead of just throwing definitions at you. If I had to take another bio related class I definitely take him.

Hard class, especially the reading tests. This class is all test based, so if you're looking for a boost from homework or extra credit don't take this class. If you try hard you can get an A. I suggest studying the readings more than you think because those are what brought my grade down. All in all he's a nice guy and tell a lot of good stories.

Funny professor who addresses everyone as "troops". Prof. Dorado was on research sabbatical at the time but the syllabus was very clear and easy to follow. Did not need to ask for any help. I actually learned a lot from this class about wellness and was really happy with the overall experience.

No homework in his class, only TESTS, so if your not a good test taker don't take him. No extra credit either. Lectures and tests. if your late he locks you out of the class, so have extra time to get to his class, he clocks it exactly. If you don't show up you will miss like a whole weeks worth of work, everything is done on white board ONLY!

I took health science online. It's pretty much 15 exams with questions you can find online, I barely even used the textbook. He did a good job communicating with us by email. So just keep up with the exams, and you get an easy A.

Easiest Class I have ever taken. I wish all of my classes were like this. There were 15 tests total with 1 full test being extra credit and 15 extra credit study guides that take about 30 minutes to complete. There were over a 100 extra credit points in this class. You can find all the answers online to tests. So easy I ended with 109%.

He has a lot of experience in the field so he uses what he has experienced in the lectures to help you understand you better. always be on time because he closes the doors but he doesn't really take attendance because he knows everyone in the class.

Tests can be a bit tricky, requires you to think sometimes rather than regurgitate information. Get every single thing you hear down, because he sometimes slightly goes over certain bits of information that you'll find on the test.

First thing, take his class. He's a nice CLEAR teacher. You don't use the book. And make sure you're one time, he locks the doors. He also give random extra credit test. Lectures are also interesting and fun.

It's beneficial to show up to every lecture if you don't it can effect your test scores. The tests are difficult if you didn't read the material well or studied prior. There's a lot of "trick questions." If you take his class don't show up late or you'll be locked out. He has a lot of good stories and he's a great professor. Very knowledgeable.

This a great, easy class to take and I really learned a lot from it. Each week you read one chapter and then take a chapter test on it, and that is all you will be graded on for the entire semester, so you have do to really well on each one. Highly recommend taking this class. You will earn a great grade and learn so much!!

Great online class to take! My session was 5 weeks so 3 tests a week.. just read the chapter take the test right after, guaranteed A. He is very clear on the syllabus so there is almost no interaction with him. Also there was a health mini essay every week on interesting topics. From what he told us about himself he seems like a really cool guy.

Showing up to class is essential or else you will be very confused. He bases all of his tests off of his lectures and doesnt even reference the book. Hes hilarious and makes lectures very interesting but his tests are some of the most difficult Ive ever taken. His tests arent based off memorization but rather applying the material to scenarios.

Took him a while back and felt he was an easy going dude. He makes jokes class goes by quick. Didnt have class on the earthquake drill day which is a plus. Quizzes and tests thats pretty much it. If you study your lecture notes you should be fine. Those saying he is bad just dont realize the pattern of his quizzes and tests or take any notes at all

He is a really nice guy. Class goes by really quick, most of the time you get out early. Some quizzes are take home so no excuse to not get an A on them. Tests are not that hard if you study a bit and check your mistakes from previous quizzes as those questions may show up. This class is similar to his Bio102 class.

Very accessible and kind. He knows his stuff and is always in the office after class if you need clarification. No homework at all just quizzes and exams which are all based off lectures and handouts! Would definitely recommend him.

Lectures are clear and easily understood. Tells you exactly what will be tested. Gives great feedback when asked. Absolutely no cellphone use, but understandable since a lot of content is packed into one class. He will lock you out if you are late to class, so be careful. But overall, he is a fantastic professor with some crazy relatable stories.

Dorado is a fantastic teacher! Really easy going and cares about his students. Beready to learn he uses all lecture time. Very reachable outside of class and happy to help during his office hours. One of my favorite teachers at Fullerton college. Although the class is challenging it is manageable. Material is based off real life scenarios.

Professor Dorado is an awesome instructors. He is competent, organized and funny. You will enjoy his class. Just listen to every word he says in class. TAKE GOOD NOTES. He gives a lot of examples, and tells stories to clarify his point. He will quiz you on what he taught in class. He is a fair grader, and really cares about his students.

This class was very stressful! Theres a lot of content to remember and there are 2 major exams if you fail one you wont pass the class. Professor Dorado was a very tough grader but I believe that it made me work harder, overall the class was hard but when you pass it youll feel so great about yourself.

The class is wholly tests and quizzes; fail one or two, and you're in for a rough time. However, the lectures were very engaging and informative. He answered any questions asked and was always happy to stay back and keep answering questions after class ended. Take lots of notes and study them every week and you should be fine.

Not sure why everyone is complaining. Come in , take notes , pay attention, and do the work like what a student is supposed to do. Lectures are always fun and he has the awesome stories. You earn your grade, it's never given.

I really enjoyed his class, his lectures were very engaging and he is a great story teller.Doesn't assign any homework so all of the grade is dependent on quizzes/exams, which are difficult but quizlet was a big help. Overall if you're looking for an easy class don't take it, but if you want to learn something, you'll like his class.

Took his HED140 class over winter break. The workload was HEAVY, since he uses McGraw Hill. There's 3 tests and chapters due per week, so you gotta move fast. However, it's very doable. For the discussions, do exactly what he says. Make sure you have each criteria down to the T. Don't let his syllabus intimidate you. It's not bad as it seems imo.
