Really knows the subject matter-- best teacher i've had at fit

The most amazing class I have ever taken. Class was never boring, and inexpensive. He knows his subject and even invited guest artists speakers. He is a professor I would recommend to anyone and class. A must at FIT.

He's hard, but he knows his stuff. I thought he was a great professor and very willing to help if you have a problem. I got an A and I studied my ass off and asked questions. Participate a lot and learn the most you can in this class. I would give him an A.

A bit challenging but the one of the best prof in FIT. Lectures are very interesting and he knows the subject really well.

OMG hes amazing!!! He make syou want to learn about the topic and the lectures arent boring like he makes them so interesting. he also knows eveything about everything like he graduated from harvard hello genious!! but def amazing professor

David Drogin is the best professor I ever had at FIT. He is beyond brilliant. I could never have imagined that an art history class would inspire me in so many ways. not to mention how much I perspired...he is so handsome!

David Drogin is f_ing genius. He made art history so much more interesting than one would take it to be. He always had the best stories to tell and taught in a very enthusiastic manner. He seemed to have a genuine love for the topic and it made going to class something to look forward to; as did the attractive and STRAIGHT males sitting by me.

the best teacher ever. doesn't get any better: smart, professional, helpful. His class is so interesting. i still remember 90% paintings that we studied, and i am the kind of student that forgets everything after the class is over.

LOVED HIM!!! The class is AMAZING!!! And no one at FIT knows more about art history than him. Will take him again if possible.

i took art history in the summer so i expected it to be sped up.....but he taught it so well. i learned so much info in such a short amount of time....and i actually enjoyed it. he is a no nonsense professor...just does his job the way it should be done. he's so smart too!

Professor Drogin is the man. He's not hot, I don't know why other people said that. You learn a lot in his class, and you have to work hard but he grades fairly. Consider yourself lucky if you have him for art history.

He's a really great professor. Really nice and very helpful. He is extremely professional and he explains everything clearly. You learn alot in his class and he makes you become enthusiastic about art. Check your spelling in the exams because he does deduct for it. Overall it was a really great class.

He's is probably the most intelligent professor around FIT. He is fascinating and makes you want to participate in class, even when it's at 8am. You can tell that he knows what he's talking about and he comes super prepared to class. Really strict with attendance and arriving on time!

very hard grader.unfair but interesting class

LOVED his class. I had a huge crush on him through out the class so it was easy to stay awake and he allowed coffee. He's the best that anyone could do teching this class. And he's kinda funny too.

he is the best ever! he knows what he is talking about and he is good at delivering the knowledge to students. not only you will learn a lot, but also it will be easy to study because he makes it very very interesting. the best teacher ever regardless of the subject. should take this class!!!

Drogin was an amazing professor. He really made the class very engaging and this honor's course was just great! I enjoyed all his help though his papers were a little of a challenge, you learned so much from his class! Do take his class one of the best professor's at FIT

Professor Drogin is my favorite professor at FIT. I never had to try to concentrate during his lectures because he talks about art so interestingly and he's got the great voice too. I just loved him and his class so much, I only wanted to study art history during the semester and wish I was majoring in art history taking his classes only.

I took this class as a blended course and it was fine. He does lecture, but it's interesting even if you don't like art history. There is a midterm, final and two papers.

Before attending this class, I thought I would dread this class but it actually was not bad. Mainly due to the Professor's method of teaching and the way he teaches the material makes it extremely interesting. He is a hard grader when he grades term papers. However, Take his class and consider yourself lucky if you are able to take his class!!

Before I attended his class, I was sure Art History would be a pain but he completely changed my mind. I had no trouble concentrating & felt motivated to come to his class! He's one of the best&smartest teachers I've ever met. Not to mention he's hot and his voice is beautiful, so that's a plus! I'm already planning to take another class with him.

Absolutely amazing. Take him if you have the chance. I was scared when i registered because i hated history...but I got a 90 on my midterm and its because he is the most amazing professor ever, he makes the class so interesting and he's adorable.

Although this class was A LOT of reading & memorization, b/c Its blended learning (half in class, half online) lectures/discussions were only every other week and interesting. I knew absolutely nothing about art history prior but Professor Drogin made it one of my favorite classes. Looking at him for 3 hours really wasn't too bad either. ;)

Absolutely amazing. Dying to take a class with him again. An absolute genius, sexy and confident. I DESPISE HISTORY and was dreading this class but he made it awesome, he gets so into it. Take him and consider yourself lucky! Love him!

This was a really fun online class and I feel I learned a lot. He does videos for Khan Academy with a few other art historians and the combinations of the videos and lectures kept me interested. Be prepared to take good notes on the required images to get your best grade on his midtermfinal. The two required essays were difficult but educational.

His class are intense. He is very helpful with papers and would check your drafts. One of the best professors i had.

The best class I ever took. I wish I could take classes with Professor Drogin again and again every semester, for my whole life. He is a complete genius and makes the lectures fun and interesting. Inspires me to want to know everything about art history. Don't miss a lecture, there is so much information in each.

He is the head of the art history department and knows so much about Italian art, specifically Renaissance. The lectures take the whole class and are very in-depth. Tests are long and hard, but I learned so much! I think it's important for anyone who wants to minor in art history.

Hands down the BEST professor I have ever had. Was such a pleasure to be in his class and he is the reason I love art history now! Need to pay attention and do your work- there is no reason to not enjoy this class or get a bad grade- work hard!

I love Drogin! He really inspired me this semester. I see the world through art. Everywhere I look now, I see Italian Renaissance-inspired art and architecture! His mood never fluctuated and he was so excited to teach every single lecture. On top of that, he is so intelligent. These are the types of classes that are worth my tuition.

I was dreading taking this class but Drogin provided tons of videos and information on topics that made the assignments super easy to do. There is a voicethread due every 1-2 weeks, midterm, final, and research paper. Take good notes on the required images and you will pass! I would definitely recommend him for art history.

Professor Drogin is really knowledgeable and very understanding. While his lectures were long, this was a class I was very excited about, so I didn't struggle to pay attention. Though, I do think some could. He's a fair grader, just pay attention, take notes, and don't be afraid to talk in class! Overall, it was a really fun, and easy course.

Prof. Drogin was incredible, I wouldn't want to learn art history from anyone else. He is extremely knowledgeable on whatever he talks about, the information just shoots out of his brain and you can tell he is so passionate about the subject matter. The grading consists of two papers, the midterm, final and participation. 100% take his class.

This was the first art history course I've ever taken and Professor Drogin was amazing. His lectures are so informative and he is very knowledgeable about the material. For exams, he highlights art pieces from each lesson so students aren't responsible for memorizing all of the material covered. Highly recommend.

The lectures were really great and informative. However, he was a very very harsh grader. Take lots of time on each assignment provided whereas there are not a lot of opportunities to build up or improve your grade in this class. For papers, he was very helpful and responsive via email and after class.

Amazing professor! I enjoyed the lectures so much and I am a marketing student. He is super knowledgeable with great public speaking skills. He's got everything you need. Read and participate. Know your deadlines.

Professor Drogin is extremely knowledgeable about art history, which is why he lectures for the full 3 hours. Pay attention and keep good notes. He's very clear about his expectations and criteria for grading, so strictly stick to what he tells you. You have a couple of papers to write, midterm and final.

Drogin is the best art history professor I've ever had, and possibly one of the greatest in general. Take his class if you are at all interested in art. He constantly surprises me with his deep knowledge of his subjects, wit, and intelligence.

honestly never thought I would enjoy art history but he made it interesting. respected and cares for his students. easy to reach outside class and only have to do one voice thread and 2 papers. really simple instructions but def need to look over the lectures to answer the voice threads. would definitely recommend.

Clearly very knowledgeable and overall smart. No phones or computers and he lectures the full 3 hours (minus a 15 min break), but he makes the topic so interesting. Occasionally tells jokes and they are funny. Tests are take-home, and I believe there was only one (written) assignment. I wish he taught more classes so I could take them.

I enjoyed David's class throughout the semester. Although he is strict about no phones/laptops, attendance, and participating, it really does make a difference. I learned so much b/c he is very passionate and knowledgeable. There is not homework but there is a midterm, a paper, and a final (but he is very helpful). You MUST go to class!!!

Clearly passionate and very knowledgeable about art history, gives good feedback and very organized. Though there is a TON of homework for his online classes and can be a tough grader.

BEST ART HISTORY PROFESSOR AT FIT! His lectures are beyond amazing and useful. Evoke top-of-mind awareness for all the art pieces covered! I volunteer to participate whenever I can. Beautiful presentations.

Professor Drogin was great! I will say he is very passionate about what he does, especially when it comes to art history. It shows in the lectures. His classes are very lecture-heavy, he does not allow phones or computers. There is midterm, research paper, and final, along with participation which was nice. Just make sure you pay attention though!!

By far the best professor I've ever had. While he is a tough grader with specific requirements, he takes the subject seriously. Attendance is important and this class is lecture-heavy, but his lectures are interesting and engaging. His instructions were clear and understandable, and he was very organized which I appreciated. 10/10 professor

Prof. Drogin is a great man who is extremely knowledgable in art history. There is no technology allowed for the entire lecture but honestly, its what helped me focus. As long as you pay attention and take notes you will do great. Also make sure to participate.

IF YOU HAVE ADHD, DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. He will take the full 3 hours... sometimes go over... to lecture. If you struggle with sitting there for the full time and hearing the professor talk with little interaction, this class is not for you. Although, he is a very great professor who is passionate about the subjects he teaches.

He is a tough grader, but I learned SO much from his lectures. He is very educated and passionate about art history. So anything's we learned in this class are now my new hyper fixations. As long as you pay attention and participate, you will do just fine.

There are only three assignments, so you have to do well on them, but if you pay attention and take notes, you will be fine. He is very passionate while talking about art, so it is easy to retain information.
