Course was near a joke focusing on the online simulation. Didn't seems to do a whole lot of teaching with this in place. Decent teacher.

He was really nice and funny and class was fun even though i think business is boring, and i did very little work and got a 95%, so i was happy.

Dave does a greatr job teaching BA 101. I felt it was very informative.

This teacher enjoyed what he taught, and it made for a great learning experience.

BA 101 as an upper-division student is like having your brain gently massaged for 4 hours a week, and Dusseau made that experience entertaining, too. Plus I hear he's "squirrelly". However, Foundation is lame.

Best teacher at U of O. Made a 2 hour lecture on business not only entertaining, but also engaging. As long as you go to class and aren't stupid, the class is very easy.

i found his lectures(when i went) to be pretty entertaining and easy to sit through, not hard at all just have to pay attention to make sure you know what he is talking about. hes a pretty cool guy. makes some good/funny remarks.

Dave is the man! Everytime I see him on campus I say "there goes Dave Dusseau, he's the man!"

Made business an interesting topic and kept me interested for two hours (most of the time). Every business student should have Dave Dusseau as a professor for at least one class.

He was hilarious and made a broad survey class a little better with humor

Very helpful teacher and very understanding of the face that most people in the course are freshman.....

Dusseau is constantly annoying with his stupid space ship sounds and bad jokes. His class has no relevance to any Business you will learn in the major or the minor. We called him Dave the ****.

Not exactly what I was expecting for a BA 101 class, but Dave made the class really fun. The simulation wasn't exactly my idea of fun, but I do admit that I learned a lot from this class. A lot of your grade is dependent upon your ability to manage your time and do things on time.

Dave is such a great teacher. He makes the class easy to understand, and fun.

I had this class two years ago- and am surprised at how much I remember. I was able to set up the books for my own business. I have been able to think clearly about a lot of issues that seem complex. I liked the goofy explanations and how much fun he seemed to have.

About half of your grade comes from tests, which are mildly difficult. The other half of the glass are gimme points. If you pay attention in class, the in class work should be 100 percent, and Foundation not far behind. DD also makes one of the most bland subjects slightly entertaining. His jokes are kind of dry, but old-man funny. Good guy.

Dusseau is fun and interesting. With any other teacher this BLAND subject material would be even more boring but Dusseau makes it liveable. Show up to class and you'll get a good grade.

I hate businss class. I liked Dave though. He helped me get through this class. You have to answer the questions and go see the tutors for help in Foundation.

Funny...the ethics talk at the end was the most memorable and in my opinion was the best lecture of the term....however the material is boring...but he makes it easy to get a good grade and the TA's will do your foundations assignment for you...

FANTASTIC TEACHER. Very organized, clear, straight-forward and kind. Expectations are well defined and he cares that you understand. He uses interesting stories to illustrate his points. However, the material in general is dull if you've taken accounting.

I can only think of good things to say about Dave Dusseau. He's friendly, very knowledgable, and wants students to learn and will help in anyway he can. He used humor to liven up the long lectures and it was actually funny most of the time unlike many professors who try to use humor. He's a very reasonable grader and you know what's expected.

Dave is definately a great prof. The lectur hall is huge and the seats are super comfy, so try to stay awake! Foundation kinda sucks, but Dave really knows what he's talking about and is actaully pretty funny at times. Go to his office hours and meet him-he's a pretty cool guy.

Dave is a good instructor. Keeps things clear and simple and answers a lot of questions. Material does get dull at times, but Dave tries to keep everyone focused with enthusiasm and humor. A pretty good chance you will get him for BA 101, which is definitely not a bad thing!

It was a good class. I learned a lot. I had a similar class at CSU and it was horrible and boring. At first, running the simulaiton was confusing and I hated it... but met with Dave and he went over it with me and it turned out to be fun. I even ended up liking the numbers. I dominated.

Prof. Dusseau is GREAT and sooo funny! Makes a long class go by faster than others because he knows how to read students and appeal to their needs. - highly recommended

with dave, business is fun. very funny guy, fond of talking to himself and the computer. funny stories and quotes! if you're mentally or physically absent you might have trouble, so show up and pay attention. the concepts are simple and a sixth grader could do the math required.

Dusseau is a character- fun and energetic about the dryest parts of business. He makes it as entertaining as possible while reinforcing the importance of the class. Easy, but not too easy that your brain fries.

Dave is great. Really funny, very entertaining. I love his voice too. He makes things so increcibly simple that you'd have to actually try to fail it. Wonderful teacher, wonderful class.

Awesome, very upbeat, very funny. explains material thoroughly and lets you know when something is important. He provides a colorful presentation of the material. I would take any of his business classes.

He makes class entertaining with jokes and dry humor. Good advice would be to not kill yourself over the reading and questions provided, he gives you everything you need to know in class so just take good notes and pay attention.

dave is awesome. I learned as much as I could have from him in this subject. Make sure you do foundation on time and go into his office hours. Plus he's really funny one-on-one and he's interested in knowing about your interests (aka he'll hook you up with sweet connections). i recommend him for sure

I really liked Dave and the class. Both surprised me. Dave was enthusiastic and helpful and very kind. He is very clear and well organized. And cute. The simulation really hooked me- I like that I could try to apply what I know in running this business. I liked the clickers and in-class quizzes. The exams were harder than I thought.

Dave is by far the best professor I have had at UO. He makes his subject interesting and fun to learn. He was very personable, great lecturer and was knowledgeable and helpful. Dave sets you up for success in his class... in fact, it is downright hard to do badly. I highly recommend this course.

Great Teacher. Has been my favorite at UO. Lectures were very clear, and easy to talk to. The Final was broken into two seperate tests, which was very helpful.

AWESOME!!! Lectures can seem long, but he doesn't get pissed off if you get restless. He makes jokes all the time. If you pay attention, then you will pass the class. He is very willing to listen to anything you have to say. At first you seem like you don't have a clue, but that's normal. He simply rocks!!!

Very good class despite boring material. No final :) Class is easy as long as you pay attention in class. Attendance is mandatory even in a class as big as this - he has polling questinos to check attendance. Would recommend if you are at all curious about business. Funny and engaging professor

I loved this class. The simulaiton confused me in the beginning- but I went in for help and it changed my whole term. Dave spent time with me and made sure I understood all of the decisions. After tht it was fun. He treated me like I was a real person. Plus I just liked him as a person.

Dusseau lied to me- he said it was easy and fun. It was't easy- but it did end uup being fun- AFTER I figured out Foundation. Tutors are helpful. Dusseau was really helpful in office hours... make him go over your decisions once and it makes more sense. Dusseau is funny / quirky. A bit of a dork but it all works out well for a such big class

Anyone who says this class isn't unfairly easy is sadly mistaken. Dave is a phenomenal professor. He explains everything very clearly. For the most part, those who don't understand his class or the simulation did not go to class or do the homework. There are unlimited resources for this class. He even gives you every answer for quizzes in class.

Getting an A on tests requires that you actually study all the material very well, but as a college student anyone should expect that. His assignments are not graded, just given points for being turned in. He's a little harsh on himself, but everyone really likes him. He does a good job with the class. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TEACHER.

One of the best teachers I have ever had. This was my first business class and I learned a lot from him. He made class interesting and easy to understand while teaching important concepts. If you are interested in business or thinking about a business minor, you should definitely take this class.

I thought I wasn't learning enough actual concepts until I got to other biz classes and I found myself recalling the simulation to remember things. If you have to take BA101, take it with Dave.

Professor Dusseau is a great professor. His PowerPoints are a bit confusing at times, but he's very attentive and is good at evaluating how well the class is paying attention and understanding the material. Be sure to complete the (ungraded) homework and you'll get a good grade. Definitely recommended.

Fabulous professor

Great instructor, class was difficult at times but he was available to answer questions through email or in person. Created a positive learning environment and openly communicated with all students.

A fantastic professor. If you are going into the business field, take as many classes from him as you can! He has BEEN THERE, DONE THAT. This is a man who made it in the private sector, then became a professor. He is happy to share his immense knowledge whether it concerns academics, business, or life. Super approachable, and just a great guy.

Great professor. Up for answering questions whenever you raise your hand or send him an e-mail. He is extremely nice and has taken on the Excel and Access challenge of teaching this class. He has been trying his best to teach the class without cheating. One of my favorite professors. I talk with him when I get the chance about my other classes.

Awesome teacher, very clear and articulate. For nearly a two hour class he makes organizes his class with a good pace and very clear powerpoint presentation. I would definitely recommend him as a teacher.

Easy class, good teacher, would recommend.

The class is focused around an online business simulation, weekly quizzes, and two midterms. The class was doable if study. The midterms were fair and questions had all been presented before. Go to his office hours he loves to help! Also use the tutors for help with the simulation. He is very organized and his blackboard page is always up to date.

Dave was my favorite professor this term. He makes you want to listen because he says witty and funny little jokes. You don't even have to read the text to comprehend everything that's learned. Pretty easy class but make sure when it comes to Capsim, the online business simulation, you know what your doing. It will matter at the end of the term.

So far, Dusseau has been my favorite prof. He is super funny and is incredibly helpful during office hours. Midterm and Final are easy if you study. His powerpoints can be a bit confusing, but he is always more than happy to clarify things.

FAVORITE BUSINESS PROFESSOR!

I had a hard time in this class. However, it gives you all BA fundamentals which helped me realize that business is not for me. He is very charismatic and walks you through any problems. He made going to a 2 hour, 8am enjoyable.

Great professor, always available. I took two classes with him, he has been nothing but helpful. His classes are straight forward, Exams are m/c and predictable. Highly recommended.

Show up for class and do quizzes and foundation rounds on time and you'll get a B for sure. Do well on all these things and you'll get an A. Be wary MAC users don't swipe back by accident on the quizzes. you won't a third chance. I did it countless times last fall term and always messed up my score.

BA 240 was a pretty easy class. Just really easy. But I really enjoyed having David as my professor. I could tell he has a lot of experience and he is funny and clearly teaches things and he does a good job. Responds to emails too. The class for me was PassNo Pass

Prof Dusseau is the best! He truly cares about you and your success. He gets really mad if its apparent that you don't care or especially if you cheat, but don't be stupid and you will be fine. His passion for teaching is clear and I learned so much even though I took that class at 8:30am. Excel is life and Prof D can show you why.

Dusseau is the man. His lectures are hilarious and he makes it worth waking up early in the morning. He's an extremely nice and respectable guy, but I didn't feel very prepared for the tests. There's lots of material you have to cover on your own and try to teach yourself. Ended up with an 87%, but it was rounded up to A-. Much respect for him!

Dusseau is one of the best professors that I have had. He is very funny in the awkward kind of way and that gives the lectures more flavor. Would easily take another class from him. He says the textbook is mandatory, but he posts all the readings online.

He's an amazing teacher, he gives many opportunities through tutoring that will help you excel in the class. Go to tutoring and they will literally do your work for you. All the quizzes were easy since they were online. The class isn't difficult if you spend out of class time doing the work. He always try's to keep students interested. I loved it!

Super chill

DAVE IS FAVE! Honestly didn't like the material (it's a lot), but I really enjoyed Dave. Failed both midterms, ended with a 79.9% but with a curve I ended with a solid B. iClicker questions for attendance/points, two multiple choice midterms & weekly online quizzes. The class is organized and daily syllabus/practice exams are helpful. Dave rocks!

One of my absolute favorite professors!!!! I struggled a bit in a beginning, but he gave tons of extra credit; the iClicker quizzes were easy; and he is a great teacher! So funny and so chill.

David Dusseau is a good teacher to introduce you to business. He helps you with the clicker questions so you are going to get 15/15 most of the time. If you keep up with the homework and go to class you will pass.

He's so sweet and if you go in to his office hours, he'll make sure you get the grade you want.

Dave is absolutely amazing. Though his class was difficult I learned a lot. Its obvious that hes very knowledgeable in his fueld. He also really cares about his students. I had a friend pass away right before finals and he want above and beyond to make sure I was prepared in a very difficult time for me. A true gem.

Great all around guy. Genuinely wants to help you get a good grade. Class isn't difficult if you pay attention in class. As for Foundation, don't do outside research since there's tons of different types of simulations out there (I messed this part up). And take loans, it might sound dumb but it increases your stock a ton.

His assignments are clearly laid out on canvas about what to do and when it is due. Just show up to class for the lectures and do the assignments on time and this class should be an easy A.

Dave is an awesome man. He is so kind and willing to help his students. His lectures can get a little boring, however, he makes it worth it. Be prepared to read a lot and memorize terms. There 3 exams total, no final. His exams are fairly easy if you attend his class and study. If you are considering to take BA101, try and get him!

Dusseau is a great professor. There's a lot of homework online so don't miss it or you won't get an A. Also the class is very test heavy but don't worry because he curves. He usually gives all the iclicker questions so you'll naturally get a 10/10, so don't skip class. If you put in the effort this class is an easy A.

Dave is the man. Show up to class and take good notes. Econnect is the easiest component of this class, so DO NOT miss the deadlines its not that hard. I would say where I see most students struggling is with Mike's Bikes. Get help with it right away if you don't understand anything.

Excellent professor. His class is not hard and his lectures are great. Even though I had his class at 8am I still enjoyed showing up. His exams include some topics that are discussed in class and not only in the slides and reading, so much sure you show up. He is very friendly and funny!!

Dave is a very funny and entertaining teacher. Business 101 is an introductory class so there is a lot of information to learn. That being said he lectures are never boring and he is there to help if you need him.

Dave is THE BEST! He is so hilarious and really cares about what he teaches. He's already retired but decided to come back because "This is what I do for FUN!". He always had the whole class laughing and kept us engaged. There is a "quiz" every class using the iClicker, but half the time he helps with the answer. He's the best.

Definitely one of the best professors at UO! His lectures are entertaining and you can tell he really enjoys teaching. There is randomly a lot of homework in this class but its a very easy subject so it doesn't take long. As long as you go to class and don't miss any deadlines this should be an easy A.

I was doing okay in his class and then I unexpectedly had to miss a week 7 after a friend died and Dave was incredibly supportive and helpful. He gave me extra notes, supplemental assignments, extensions and exemptions to ensure that I could do well in his class as well as checking in with me after every lecture. Amazing educator and person.

The book was really helpful and interactive. His lectures basically repeat what you read the night before. DO YOUR HOMEWORK or you will not pass. Tests are difficult, but not impossible. Amazing professor and really makes sure you understand. iClicker required so show up. Mikes Bikes simulation is fun, but hard and you must remember to do it!

Although he only teaches BA101 he really cares for his students. Very personable, lectures are interesting, stories are funny, and just an all around great guy. Take his class, you won't regret it.

Easiest and best class I've taken at UO. He gives the answer to every class clicker quiz so just show up. The tests are exactly like his lectures... sometimes you get out early. David is great! He really knows how to condense a lot of content down in a way that is clear and engaging. An absolute shame that he won't be teaching much longer. Take him while you still can! There's a lot of reading for sure, but it's necessary for tests and midterms. Use his chapter guidelines to study, they're super helpful. + he's funny :)

Dusseau is a very down to earth professor. Attendance is defined by I-Clicker questions, which he makes an effort to give the answers. Exams are not hard if you prepare for them. Lectures are long but he makes it worth showing up with hilarious anecdotes.

Great teacher overall. Class was super easy to follow and the lectures were great.

The course was super organized and as long as you did the reading and go to class, it is pretty easy. Midterms are exactly what you learn in class. He also adds 6.5 percent to your grade instead of curving tests. Super funny /engaging lectures and you always get out of class early.

Beware of the book assignments. They are "cheap points" as David calls them, and they are but I have seen some of my classmates ignore them, which ended up affecting their chances of getting an A. No finals but you have to actually study for the midterms as the three of them combined are 550 out of 1065 possible points, 900 points being an A-

Dave is the man! He is funny, charming, and understands his students. He is aware that his students have other responsibilities besides his class and it reflects in his coursework. You are lucky if you're in his class.

Funny guy very chill

Dave is a very entertaining guy and a good professor. My biggest complaint is that it was difficult to stay awake in class, as the majority of the content was so painfully straightforward. Dave is great, but the class material is unbearable. I never studied and did phenomenally on all assignments/exams. If you know what profit is, you'll do great.

He's goated. Very funny guy, super clear grading standards. Be prepared to read a lot and lectures are 2 hours long. But doing the work you needed will get you at least a B.
