His tests are extremely difficult and you have to make sure to read every sentence in his required text book.
Worst teacher I've ever had. Took serial murder and organized crime online. His online material was so full of typos and grammatical errors I couldn't get past them. Don't know where he got his test questions from.
Took Profiling the text is a must read but at least its interesting. Talks the entire time... tests are hard
if you go to class and read the text, you'll pass. His tests are not hard if you study the night before.
His classes are not that hard if you pay attention and read the required text. If you are slow at taking notes, a tape recorder is also a good idea. He is a very educated man with a dry sense of humor. I have enjoyed his class.

He is completely monotone, he reminds me of the teacher from Ferris Bueller. He is extremely intelligent but not the best teacher. Interesting class but either slow down on the notes buddy or make a course packet. My hand was always cramped after clas
He's not a difficult professor if you read and study the terms and topics that he gives you before tests. Not really entertaining though either--look out for his once-daily joke (or attempt at one). Take the class and you'll know what I mean. Overall, good
Pick another teacher, he's not very helpful, and he can be really rude if you ask him a question, he looks at you like you're a moron. I don't know where he gets his test questions either. If you can, take another teacher.
good online class, questions are taken directly from reading, although there are large amounts of material covered, he moderates discussions, so if you ask a question he is pretty good about answering it..dont take if you dont like reading!
Interesting class, tests are on the difficult side, if you want an A be sure you pay attention to the slightest detail.
You know what to expect with him. His online courses are a dream come true. I got A's in three of his classes, and I never opened the book, except the night before a test.
A very boring teacher and an interesting subject dont mix well. The book is great, but the exams are more in depth than the book. His notes are extensive(hand cramps). Smallest things in the notes is on exams. Very Boring; Dry eyes, Clear eyes!
Tests are precise, but he is a great teacher to have for an online class.
Don't bother to post on the discussion boards. You probably won't get credit. He leaves everything to his discretion. Most of his questions on the exam were not clear and were not from the review questions or text, but came from arbitrary links.
Had him for Serial Murder and Organized Crime online. NOT a good teacher. Got an 80.5% grade in his class, but his grading scale made my grade a C. DO not take his classes.
I had him for Organized crime, Criminal Profiling, and Famous Crimes/Trials. Tests were somewhat tricky...if he didn't curve the grades NO ONE would pass his class. Very monotone and tons of notes, but the subjects are fascinating.
Very hard professor. He makes you read everything - and remember the stupidest details for the tests (which of course are the only grades for the class).
I have taken 4 of his classes, all online. They are fairly difficult, but he does curve them. I think I got B's in all 4. Read the material and use that index!
Interesting class. Dr. Fabianic is a pretty hard teacher. His tests are detailed and very random. The study guide is a complete waste of time. I kinda like him though, you get used to him.
You do have to do a lot of reading and almost all the questions come straight from the text, he likes the details. I currently have him and am doing decently in his class. He does allow extra credit. I look foward to taking his Serial Murder course.
Only class in college (both undergraduate and graduate classes) that I ever got a C in. Seems as if he pulls exam questions out of his butt. Impossible to reason with. I literally laughed out loud at the obsurdity of some of the exam questions.
Dr. Fabianic is very unhelpful. He uses irrelevant questions on exams, which are way too detailed in the first place. Don't bother contributing to the forum. Don't take this class with him.
Had him for several classes, I had no choice. Same story in each class. Very unfair quizzes, no chance for extra credit and will not respond to questions. Not a good professor. He will lower you GPA.
Avoid this professor at all costs if you value your GPA. Fabianic would be better off retiring and bagging groceries at Publix. This professor has no buisness teaching a class.
I took him for Organized Crime. Tough class, but I learned a lot. I enjoyed it.
UGH! Very hard teacher, has horrible email ettiquette. Had him for an online class and never gave enough time to take the exams. DONT TAKE HIM!
Terrible course. Boring material. I took this course online and wish to God it could all end. Correspondance is slow. 3 exams, all unclear and extremely precise. Study hard, exams are timed and impossible.
Good luck
I absolutley agree with all the posts. Very unfair, unsensitve instructor. Out of all my classes, these were by fair the worst classes. Material is lenghty, boring and too much to absorb for one test. Professor warns of this in syllabus and sticks to it.
Took his internet course for Organized Crime. His test are very hard and go over a great deal of info. Some of the questions he asks are ridicules. I managed a C, so long as I don't bomb the final... but it took a lot of time and effort.
I just finished doing time in his class.I am a 4.0 honor student, whose GPA just plummeted.Fabianic belongs behind bars, his teaching methods are executed with criminal intent. Arrest this man for impersonating a professor!

Crime in America... the online class is pretty difficult. The second test involves the small book plus portions of the large book. The grading scale is really different, but works in favor. Take this with a friend, makes all the reading easier.
I have never in my life had a class this hard. The class and material itself were very interesting, but the tests were impossible to pass. After the first test the class average was a D. Guess that says it all.
He is a very smart man that requires his students to study. I had him for both Serial Murder and Profiling and I enjoyed both classes. If you take him STUDY. I did well in both classes and would take him again if I did have to graduate soon.
The subject matter is interesting. He is a smart person and expects his students to study. If you study the text and notes you will do fine. I did well in both Serial Murder and Profiling. I enjoy his in class lectures more than on line.
Dr. Fabianic requires his students to learn. The tests are challenging but not impossible (I am no genius, but I managed to get an A in 3 of his classes). He will answer questions, but does not like to answer questions that are covered in the syllabus
He is a great professor. I had him for an online course. His tests come straight from the book. Tests can be detailed, but if you read and make notes for yourself you should do well. I got an easy A in his class.
Lots of reading, but he gives you very adequate reviews before tests. Tests have a lot of detail, but they're online so you can use notes. He also gives a curve at the end of the semester, but your grade depends on 3 exams which isn't easy.

Dr. Fabianic won't hand you a grade, but if you work for it, he'll help you every step of the way. He's a very nice and approachable professor. Tests were overwhelming, at first. You MUST be diligent in studying to pass his class! READ READ READ.
WAY TOO HARD. Taking a test is like finding a needle in a haystack. Expects you to memorize the material out of 3 full books. Too much!
Do NOT take this professor!!! He is out of his mind. His tests are not just hard, they're impossible. I studied a lot and still got a D.
I had Fabianic for Criminal Profiling and I am now currently enrolled in Serial Murder. He expects a lot from his students and there is a lot of reading for his courses. As long as you read the online readings and text books you will do fine. make sure you post discussions as well. :)
Fagianic seems to like to hear himself talk; too bad no one else does. He rambles and/or rants all period and grades with ridiculously long and obscure multiple choice tests. He seems to favor jocks and blonde ditzes. It must be retirement time . . .
I dont so much have a problem with the Prof. style but I do have a problem with the textbook. My online book "Visions for Change" is VERY left wing and bias. I don't think we should be studying non-objective textbooks with some sort of hidden liberal agenda. Plus, it's a boring repetitive read.
Grade comes from only 3 tests and then if you join in the discussions, he may give you a few points to help out. Tests usually consist of three sections - part from one book; second part from another book; and third is extra credit which usually is about 5 questions. Lots of reading in this class.
Signed up for online criminal profiling course with this professor, expects too much from the students and wants them to memorize the all the course material assigned to them. If the professor wants the student to excel he must guild them rather than testing them with near impossible expectations
Expect only 3 tests in this online class to get your grade from. A LOT of reading - 16-20 chapters per test. Expect to put all your studying into this one class.
I took his online class and didn't think it was as bad as some posts have claimed. It is true that there are only 3 tests that determine your grade, but that is all the work you are required to do. If you read and know how to use an index you will do fine.
Took his criminal profiling online...big mistake. There was so much information to cover that it was ridiculous. The last test came from 37 different chapters that were all on different topics. Way too much information for not having any interaction with the students. Don't take him online!!
memorize memorize memorize. class okay, but did not learn much. prof seems old & lazy.
An online course that was better than any live course section ---- much more information. The students who complain are the very poor ones who cannot do the work.
Dr. Fabianic is an excellent professor who has created the best self-contained courses online of any other on campus. He is challenging, but more than fiar. Students are given clear assignments and plenty of study aids and assistance. If you can't do well in his courses, you shouldn't be in college.
One of the best courses around. Some of the negative comments on this forum were inspired by a small group of students who organized to try to embarrass Dr. Fabianic. Don't be fooled. He is excellent and his courses are the best.
In spite of the constant complaining of very poor students, Dr. Fabianic presented a very sophisticated course on Crime in America. The course is well organized, thorough, and you really learn something. His discussion questions are quite thought provoking. He is an instructor for adults, not kids. He is excellent.
Serial murder was the best course I have taken at UCF. It was awesome! Dr. Fabianic teaches more students than most professors on this campus by far, and there is a reason. He provides great courses with high standards. When you get your grade from him, it is fair and you have earned it. Wonderful professor.
Dr. Fabianic is straight forward, everything he expects is in hid syllabus - no weekly discussions required which I think is great. Tons of reading - but it is all very interesting. Test are somewhat hard and there are only three but if you read and comprehend what you read you will do fine!
I put very clear because he was clearly difficult. You better know who Ted Bundy's great grandfather's wife's son's grandson's cousin's birthday is. Yes. I am serous.

Very demanding instructor. There is a lot of material to read and study. However, this has the benefit that you gain quite some knowledge of whatever subject you study. Instructor responds timely to emails and is very helpful. Study the material and you'll do fine. Took several classes and did well.
This was a great class, the material to comprehend was extensive but it was worth it. Instructor was very helpful with questions and assignments. If you read the books and participate in the discussions you'll do fine. Extra credit is given after each exam, take advantage of it. Would take the instructor again.
Ive taken a few online classes with Fabianic and he is very consistent with his teaching style. His tests aren't hard if you know where to look in the book... ie if youve actually read what was required of you. Not a bad professor, and definately interesting material.
Was not helpful in the least.
The class matter is interesting, but he assigns way too much reading and other assignments. His grading scale is weird, but fair in the long run. You have to do something every single day for his class.
Had him for Criminal Profiling. He was the most unhelpful and rude professors I've ever had. He assigns an overwhelming amount of reading, some of which confuses one with the other, he give you very little time to complete the exams, he never respond to your emails! Worst class EVER!
This class was very difficult but was interesting to the mind. Their is tons of reading required in this class. I think all of Dr. Fabianic classes have lots of reading. Be prepared to study your butt off!!
He's a horrible professor! Not helpful at all. He only grades on 3 exams & each covers about 20 chpts (no kidding). There isn't enough time to look up anything if needed. Just absolutely ridiculous! I'm an A student & I rcv'd a C in this course. I even participated in disc. ?s & didn't get any credit for that. Too much work & no credit for i
Are these people serious? Your tests are open book, open notes, open internet, and you have an hour to answer 20 questions, and you make a D in the class and blame the teacher? Thanks, bell curve! I've taken a couple classes with Dr. F. The tests *would* be impossible if it weren't open-everything. Don't expect him to help you. It's all there.
Pick one: A class where the ONLY requirements are 3 exams based on the texts, or a class where there are dozens of papers and assignments to keep track of?? Pull up your comfy chair, relax, read the book, keep reference materials handy during exams and you're good. Textbook is well-written and has interesting facts and case-studies; not a snoozer.
I took it on-line. The tests are open-book and if you use his study guides (he provides a ton of extra notes & study guides) then you will do fine. I don't know why everyone says they do so badly in his class. I'm thinking they either don't understand the information or they haven't preparred for the exam.
This class was by far the most interesting and fun class that I have had at UCF. I just love Dr. Fabianic. I have to admit that I was reluctant to take his class after reading some of the other raters. I'm glad that I didn't listen to them. His class is an enormous amount of reading and you must be willing to spend the time. I say take him.
The only person you can blame if you do not do well in this course is yourself. What is expected is so clear, and the readings are not hard at all, but interesting. The tests are hard but if you actually read and do the reviews then you should have no problem. But you MUST keep up with the work. It is nearly impossible to cram for his exams.
I made the mistake of taking Serial Murder AND Profiling w/ him at the same time. This was a huge mistake. There is so much reading involved. I really wish he would have tought this in a classroom setting it would have been much easier. If you can find someone else teaching this at the Orlando campus i would suggest taking them instead of Fabianic.
There is A LOT of reading. His tests are very specific and require you to know his notes and the textbook very well. I would recommend only taking this class by itself in the summer to have the chance of an A. Overall the class was interesting though, but requires a lot of time to study.
I thought he was very unfair. He states you can earn extra credit by doing discussion board. I did all discussion boards. I was 13 points away from the next grade still did not make the next grade. It was his discretion if the DB were good enough. There is alot of material too read and tests are timed. I would not recommend taking this professor
He warns everyone that there is a lot of reading and no extra credit. Disc Postings may help in the end, IF a person is marginal. There is a lot of reading but some ch's correspond to others;he sums it up for you in the units; AND he has study aides! I have a lot of respect for this instructor. His classes are only for the mature and hardworking.
Awesome instructor! More fair and equal then any other at UCF; He doesn't give the suckups A's, No E.C.- You will get the grade you EARN! Do the reading, study aides and you'll do fine. Its difficult for those who don't want to learn and challenge themselves. If you are someone who and seeks knowledge and doesn't look for handouts- take Fabianic.

I was so afraid to take this class b/c everyone says he is so hard . . . don't listen to them; they are slackers. This is a great online class. If you skim the readings, answer his review q's and do the crosswords, you will get a good grade on the tests. Yes, the tests are timed, however, I always had time to confirm my answers.
TOUGH teacher but incredible! You will remember the info for years to come. He is hard as hell but when you earn your grade you know you REALLY earned it. And don't be late for class- he hates that and usually locks the door, though he unlocked when I sliced my finger open while cooking. But unless you're bleeding profusly don't be late!
This class is difficult only in work load. There is an enormous amount of reading and his tests are extremely detailed. Take this class only if you are seriously interested in the material. Be prepared to take notes and study like you never did before! Hard prof but you learn volumes!
Sooo much reading. Interesting though sometimes repetitive since you use like 3 books. I took it online, don't need to post discussions but can help in the end if you do. Offers extra credit points with each test. Make a study guide, tests are VERY detailed. Read everything, study a lot, you'll do okay.
Very hard but also very informative and interesting stuff, took him for profiling and serial murder, since he's the only one teaching the courses he does you're kinda stuck, but do your best and you'll at least pass, read the two or three books too
This class is one of the only classes I have ever enjoyed going to and actually remember the material a year later. Fabianic is a great teacher and he makes you want to pay attention in class. You have to work for a B, but its worth it. Trust me, you'll want to read the information youre being tested on.
I took him for 3 classes -- two in the same semester before I realized he was a ridiculous prof. and the other was because he was the only one who taught Criminal Profiling. Avoid taking him like the plague!! This class is way too time consuming and he makes his tests entirely too difficult...I retained NO information from this course!! Don't take!
Do not take him if you can help it. You will learn nothing and you will not get a good grade. Requires a HUGE amount of reading. Tests are poorly written. Class average on exams 50-69%. Suggests ambiguous discussion postings worth an unknown amount of points. Worst class all of my 4 years in college.
I LOVED this class! I took 2 classes online from him & they were exactly the same. Very clear & structured.Your grade is based solely on exams which is easy b/c you can use the book and sources. I always had time to look up answers I didn't know. I didn't bother w/ discussion posts for xtra credit & still got an A.Nice guy too! I'm taking him again
(Web Course) Very structured. Very organized. The only downside to his class is that he grades with a bell curve, meaning some people are guaranteed F's. I'm in the 88th percentile of the class (B+) and I'm not even a Criminal Justice minor, so it is doable. Requires a good bit of reading, though, and one of the texts has a nasty feminist bias.

Course very structured & designed the same for each course.Requires self-motivation and ALOT of reading; If you are good with those things, it is an excellent course structure.Based mostly on tests and graded on a bell-curve. The opinion-based discussions are not mandatory or graded but give an extra asset to your grade if you are borderline(helps).
You will get what you put in. The test require you to review, review, and oh review. I would take him again.
This class is not demanding of your participation in chats or homework. There a three test and you have a month to prepare for each test. He provides tons of study questions and one of the books is online. It can be hard but you can get a good grade. Read and re-read a lot and when responding to the questions on the test, think logic.Good Teacher.
Read the book, test questions are from the book.No homework.
He demands a lot of your time in reading. The tests are very specific. However, I have learned more from his classes than from any other classes I have taken. Just read the chapters and take notes as you read. You'll have to do this probably every day, but it's do-able, even with 4 classes and a job. This is what I did and I got As in both classes.
Great for self learners. Read the book take notes easy A. Took him in six weeks and I loved it.
DONT EVER TAKE THIS CLASS. I thought criminal profiling would be fun, definitely not and I haven't learned anything. The first test isn't bad then the 2nd one is based on 25 chapters and his notes that have nothing to do with the chapters. WASTE OF TIME!!!
I was a straight A student until Fabianic.
HE SHOULD BE THROWN OUT OF SCHOOL! I have taken many online courses. His is rediculous! There are at least 15 chapters to read for a test. You have 2.5 weeks to read them. The test questions are very detailed. All the information in the book is very detailed. I swear on my mothers life you need to stay far away from this man.
If you read and prepare for test it's an easy A. Plus the Material is insanely interesting. His test are super detailed but if you prepare and take the test with books on hand it will be no problem.
I really enjoyed his classes. It IS a lot of reading, but I work full time and am taking 2 of his online classes as well as 1 other class and I manage to stay head above water. The trick is planning ahead for the reading. I read 1 chapter of material every night (about 30 pages) I don't even study much more than his crosswords. I have an A so far
He is very stricked about the quality of work you do. But he will understand if you were kicked out in the middle of a test. Read all the material he gives you. Copy everything in a word document and read it over and over. Do the crossword puzzle and all questions because is all in the test. Great Class!
The online class is an INTENSE amount of reading. Do not take unless you're prepared to eat, breath, adn sleep both of your text books.
I read through other students' feedback on this prof & I thought I'd chance it because everyone's experience and study habits are different. The man is insane & the tone he employs to address his students is less than desirable and completely unacceptable... POWER MONGREL. If he expects respect then he ought to begin by giving it first- STAY AWAY!
STAY FAR away! I have to take his classes again for grade forgiveness cause I was dumb enough to take him in the first place. Please for the love of all that is your college career DO NOT TAKE FABIANIC! You need to read idiculous amounts of books in 2 or so weeks for a test of which there are only three and some discuccions!not practical, horrible!
This professor sucks! avoid him if you can!
I took his online class and It was pretty easy. All you need to do is read the chapters and study the crossword puzzles. The discussions are not mandatory. The class consists of three multiple choice exams no written assignments or homework.
Took him for three online courses. Grade was based on 3 exams. Lots of reading and test ?s are very specific, but I was able to look up answers while taking the test easily. Could receive a grade bump with discussion posts, but not required. Very organized. Would recommend for the motivated self-learner.
You must be self motivated to take this class! I think there were too many chapters for each test. As long as you skim through all the chapters before the test & get a general idea of what's where, you can get can most stuff during the exam. I ended up with a B. Wouldn't take him again, just because it's not my type of class.
First time taking a course with this professor (online). If you use the study guides and read the assigned chapters, you will pass with flying colors. 3 exams, all multiple choice or t/f. He gave us a 5 ? multiple choice extra credit exam with each exam. My worst grade was a high B on last exam. Finished with an A overall.
Took online Cri.Pro. & Ser. Mur.This was like my 5th time taking teacher.Personally, I like him though the class will be hard if you do not read assign. chapters like me.However you can get by with the notes and study guides he provides,I have in all the times I have taken him. Get notes and have a little common sense and you'll pass. I like him.
Took him online...exams were detailed but if you read the chapters you'll be fine. It's definitely a lot to read but if you space it out and manage your time wisely it can be done. Got an A and it was sooo easy. A big plus is that the discussions are not mandatory.
Took this class online with him. Only 3 tests, no other work required (which can be good or bad depending on your grade). Use of two books for the class and exams are HEAVY on knowledge from the reading. He does supply test study aids. Missed an A by only a few points. If I would have participated in the discussions, I think I would have had an A.
WOW..Hope you love to read. This guy is rude, condescending in his emails...Disinterested in your questions. His tests consist of obscure facts from the reading that are irrelevant to the topic. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TAKING HIM..Very Frustrating. Cant figure your grade...Totally random..tons of work for no grade and only 3 tests for a grade.RUN AWAY
Online. No work, just 3 tests. Dont let this fool you, there are 3 textbooks for this class. Don't want to read? Don't take him. Reading reading & more reading. Cant just look up answers when its test time. Test info is buried within the reading (ie. stats, names, etc.) and study guides didnt cover the questions that were actually on the test.

Pretty much to sum it up, 4 tests (including final). ALL book reading, prepare to have tests on 200 pages or more of material. This guy is horri-bad, take someone else.
Already had a class of his last semester, so I knew what to expect. If you do not like to read and read often, find a different professor. If you read the assigned readings and USE the study guides he provides, you will have no problem at all. Based on grading scale he provided, I will be getting an 'A' in this course this semester.
Like I said, I knew what to expect with Dr. Fabianic, so I wasn't overwhelmed. The serial murder course was extremely interesting, lots of info. on many cases. As stated by myself and others, it's all about reading reading and reading. Do that, use the study guides provided and all will be fine.
SERIOUSLY DON'T!! I know he is sometimes the only 1 that teaches it BUT take it somewhere else! HES F'N CRAZY Reading load is unbelievable! His test questions are ridiculous, they are based on MINOR details that you will not remember, I took him knowing what i was getting into n thought i could suck it up,its just NOT worth the outcome grade wise!!
Nowhere near as hard as everyone makes it out to be. Read the text. If this is your major its really interesting stuff. If you read and use his unit study guides you can easily get the answers to the test. He tells you its a lot of material and it is. Just don't slack off and it's really no sweat.
This guy is hard!!! You have to read sooooooo much and he test everything so know the material verbatim. I got away with getting an A through skimming the book and doing the study guides online. Take him online because its easier to BS and come out with an A. Still a tough class.
This guy is hard!!! You have to read sooooooo much and he test everything so know the material verbatim. I got away with getting an A through skimming the book and doing the study guides online. Take him online because its easier to BS and come out with an A. Still a tough class. Three test and thats it
Dr. Fabianic is very nice and answers emails quickly. I took an online course this spring. The reading is intensive and tests are very detailed but I learned so much and the information was great. This was one of the hardest A's I've ever gotten and I thought my 4.0 was gone. He is very fair, understood my test anxiety and gave encouragement.
I found that if I read the chapter and then do the chapter questions that I learn so much that way and the tests make much more sense. I am taking an online class with him now and just signed up to take 2 more with this instructor. REALLY like him.
Dr. Fabianic is a tough professor but he is fair as well. If this is your major you'll actually get pretty engulfed in the reading as a lot of it is very interesting. Read, do the study guides, write down notes, review everything again and you should be fine on the tests :)
Believe the comments you see about this professor, this class is insane. You read 12 chap and take the exam. You must know the material verbatim.I never had such an awful experience with any of my classes. Never again will I take this professor. In fact I am disappointed with the way the class was taught because the material is very interesting.
Great class if you are prepared! Hard exams - very hard, small details from the text. However, you have extra credit ops with every exam and the A grades are determined by the performance on each test (you don't need 90% on an exam for an A). If you do all of the discussions you will be bumped up a grade if you are borderline.
Here's the deal - you already know that the reading load of this guy is insane; I had to buy 3 books for 1 class. 400-500 of material covered on 1 exam. The thing is, the exams are pretty easy, mostly verbatim from the text. If you read the text, review the study guide, and review the online units it's actually an easy A. I always got 100% on exam
READ THE BOOK! every one who is giving a bad comment was too lazy to read the material and then got mad when they didn't ace the test. I read, AND participated in the online disscusions. If you take this online you have to stay on top of yourself. An A+ is possible. I got one.
Professor Fabianic is hard but an A is achievable. If you actually take the time to read the books and the material online, there is no reason why you should not get an A or a B in his class.
Yes, there is a lot of reading in textbooks and online. As long as you read, participate in the discussions, and print out the study guides, and do the practice quizzes you can definitely get an A. Answers from the tests come directly from the guides. I loved this class and I'm excited to take him for Serial Murders. You have to work for an A.
Took him online for Criminal Justice System. Tests are VERY detailed. Only 3 tests and optional discussions. Will bump you up if you're on the edge IF you have participated in all the discussions. IF YOU DO NOT READ AND ACTUALLY STUDY FOR THE TESTS YOU WILL NOT DO WELL. Kind of a no-brainer, but this is not a blow-off online class.
Will never take another one of his classes after this one. I haven't learned anything because the amount of material we are required to read and retain is ridiculous. Only grades in the class are 3 tests and possible extra credit. Maybe a good class if you have lots of free time on your hands but BAD idea if you are a full time student and working
Grade is based off the exam scores and some extra credit. The exams are incredibly detailed and you have multiple texts, you have to be good at using the book's index. He assigns the score for an A on a test by taking the top 10% of grades acquired - you therefore do not need a 90% for an A. The format works for me, taken 3 classes and got 3 A's.
This was my second class of his. He is VERY clear in his syllabus about what he expects from you. If you do the work, it's a great class. If you think this is a bird class, think again.
