Best teacher I've ever had. I found him funny and entertaining. Cares about students. Makes ideas easy to understand. It sounds funny, but this class made my day better. You just won't understand what I'm saying about that until you're in his class. If you get him and drop the class....... BIG MISTAKE!!! Also, expect to work for your grade.
The BEST!!!! The best lectures. The best personality. The best support I've ever had from a teacher, anywhere, ever. THE. . . BEST!!!
K, he's not perfect. But good luck finding someone better. Every day is an adventure. You don't know what he'll do next. You will have fun. If you don't, it's you not him.
He's a real good guy, really cares. He does make you do a lot of papers, 6 really big ones (one is 12 pages). If you really like writing this is the class for you, make sure you are into English.
Appears to be tough grader at first, but isn't in the end. 6 essays (1@2 pages; 2@3 pages; 2@4 pages; 1 big end of semester at 10). My brother took this class from diff prof, It was the same there. Length seems typical as other classes. It's an English class. English is about writing. Don't expect to be there to paint pottery.
My brother took this class, and then I took it. Good teacher, unless you're a lazy jerk who thinks you're better than everyone. We had a jerk in our class, and you know who you are, and F treated him with more respect than he deserved. Loved this class!
His comments were pushy, arrogant, and sometimes rude... AND I LOVED IT! Be prepared to learn that the universe doesn't revolve around you, and that other opinions than yours exist. If you can accept this, you'll learn something. If you can't, then you won't do well. He's always prepared and always in your corner.
Get ready for a different learning experience (in a good way), he really cares about his students and makes class as entertaining as an English class can get. As long as you give him your best work, you'll do fine.
I very much enjoyed attending this class. Dr. Fairchild had interesting things to say outside of the textbook-level curriculum. He wasn't necessarily an "easy" grader, but he gave opportunities to take his feedback to improve your work, and I truly felt that I walked away from this class a better writer.
I took this professor's class during summer semester and I am already missing it. I suggest taking his class during regular semester, you will really benefit from it. He will actually read your essays and give real feedback. This professor was ALWAYS prepared for the class: you could see that from the presentations and carefully selected videos.
Professor Fairchild is the best teacher you could ever take from! Seriously! He has taught me way more in one semester than all of my living years. You'll get to be familiar with APA formatting in this class so learn now. Go to class, it will be where you learn the most, and he teaches WAY better than any book you'll read.
Professor Fairchild really knows what he's talking about when it comes to the subject. He constantly makes comments to get under your skin and consequently get you to think. This was one of the most intellectually valuable classes I have taken at UVU. No matter your skill with English, you will learn something from this professor.
You won't regret taking this class! It is worth your time, it can be tough but trust him. He knows what he's doing. Best class I've ever taken!!!
He is a great teacher! He has a great learning stragedy, and loves to help students with learning more. He also helps students to be more confident in english and in there own talents. He is super funny and very fun class. He loves to help out and is willing to answer questions.
Amazing! the guy is a pathological liar with a heart of gold. i loved every minute of class. he is challenging, but really cares about his students. trust him and youll see for yourself. if you just want an easy A then this class isnt for you. but if you want to learn how to be the best, then get ready to learn from the best. #blessed
This is my first time rating a professor on here because I could care less about them. However, this guy totally deserves a review. TAKE HIS CLASS! He has a whole different style of teaching that you will enjoy. Participation is a must and if you are willing to show up to class every day and turn in your best work ON TIME, you will pass.
Professor Fairchild genuinely cares about his students and pushes them to succeed
David Fairchild is an amazing teacher! I was able to learn more in this english class than I have in any previous class. He is caring and will make you work. If you are willing to give your very best work, he will help you out. However, if you are just looking for an easy class this is NOT the one for you.
This teacher is awesome! Take him for any english class. He is fair with grading and gives you lots of chances to improve yourself and make yourself better at writing.
Great class structure. I learned a lot by pushed myself to become a better writer thanks to his teaching tactics. One of m favorite professors at UVU!
Professor Fiarchild is an amazing professor! He does really care about his students by constantly asking how their doing. He encourages students to visit and talk to him. Overall, he knows what he's doing and expects you to do your best. Pay attention to his feedback, as it will definitely help you improve.
This guy is legit. It's worth the effort and growth. Do all the assignments, or you won't pass. Give him your best and he will grade you fairly. This class you really do learn a lot ! He makes the subject enjoyable and he is really easy to talk to. Communicate, take good notes, participate, and you will pass.
He expects you to do your best! Youll be grateful for doing your best work. He cared how you were doing in the class and made sure you had everything you needed for every assignment. He highly encouraged questions and if you needed to talk to him, he was open to talk to. Definitely would take a class with Professor Fairchild again!!
This class was not easy but I am so glad that I took it. Professor Fairchild will push you to succeed and do you're best. The papers are tough but doable if you put in the effort and time. If you actually try in this class you will come out a better writer and a better person as well.
When Professor Fairchild speaks intellect itself quakes. This professor challenges students to succeed but equips them with the confidence to do so by creating ingenious activities to engage students and create a community in the classroom where everyone feels comfortable to express themselves and learn from one another. Also hilarious!
In all ways, the best professor I've had at UVU. This class you really had to work hard to earn your grade but I wouldn't have it any other way. David is obviously a guy with a lot of experience and wisdom. Wish I could take another class from him.
He was the absolute best teacher!! If you put an honest effort in and turn everything in on time you will get an A.
Class secrets: The points of a true scholar: use your voice, observe (think outside of the box), and listen. When choosing a topic for Research Proposal, choose one that is specific and you're passionate about,(it will be your semester final topic) I liked Fairchild because he pushes you to become a critical thinker, and therefore a better writer.
I honestly don't know why he doesn't have a higher score to be honest. funnest class I have ever had, and I will remember some of the stuff we did for a long time. Inspiring. He lets you STRUGGLE on your papers to help you be a better writer, but you can still get a good grade in his class if you go everyday. Attendance is big.
Probably the best English teacher I have ever had. Attendance is mandatory so skipping class more than a couple times will put you behind. He makes class fun and also teaches a lot of useful critical thinking skills. I have definitely improved a lot as a writer from this class and I wish all teachers taught like he did.
Professor Fairchild will push you to the point that you may not like him, but in the end it is for your good. Trust him and communicate with him for success in this class. He gives great feedback and will do all that he can to help you succeed.
UVU has an amazing english program but Professor Fairchild really knocks it out of the park. He is very blunt so if thats not your thing don't take his class. He teaches a lot and really wants to prepare you for the future. This isn't just a class for you to get your degree, this is a class to better your life and expand your thinking horizons.
I have never been in such a inspiring and interesting class. Do not let him scare you away! I was intimidated at first but he's not mean at all. He genuinely cares about all his students and wants you to learn. Every class was unique and interesting. You have to work for your grade, but its all worth it. I freakin loved his class. He is AMAZING!
Fairchild is by far one of the best professors Ive had. I was not looking forward to writing this semester, but he made learning fun and interesting! Just trust his process and teaching methods. Show up everyday and you will be just fine!! Hes awesome!!
Its been a while since I had a class with Professor Fairchild. However, out of all the classes I have taken ever, his is the one I remember the most. He taught many life lessons that I continue to use. He helped me improve in every area that I felt needed work. Even though he may be a hard professor, I highly recommend him for the experience.
Professor Fairchild is nothing short of amazing. The way he structures his class is genius, and you can tell he cares about his job and students. I had him when COVID shut the school down and he did such a great job of catering to students due to the circumstances. He's an amazing teacher and he is such a kind person. Take his class!
Professor Fairchild was without a doubt the best professor I have had so far. I took his class awhile ago, but in my three years of school so far I have not had a professor as memorable as him. My writing really improved in that class and he gave me a such a good foundation for the rest of college.
He is the quintessential college professor: he will scare you at first, challenge your thinking and test you, and help you grow into a more prepared college student in general. This was less of an English class and more of a LIFE class, where the biggest lesson is to "never give up!". Do the work, he'll make your success his personal responsibility
You really have to go out of your way to ignore this professor's help. He is available all day (phone, email, chat) to help. He teaches how to interact with new perspectives and pushes you to question his and others ideas. If you leave this class offended at subject matter, you have clearly misunderstood the purpose of this class. Best class!
I had a love-hate relationship with this class. Prof. Fairchild is an excellent professor. He accepts nothing but your growth as a writer, student, and peer in this course. Its a hard class - expect to put in the work and do poorly at times. However, I felt like he was very tangenty and cynical. I struggled to connect with him as a person.
I had Professor Fairchild during the fall semester of 2020. All the classes were online, including his English class. The school set up the structure for the course, which did not mesh with his teaching style. He got permission to teach his way. I am very thankful for it. He is a fantastic professor who cares that his students are successful.
I was scared going into his class but he helped me overcome those fears. I was able to see that I had a writing style and in the process I was able to refine it. The feedback and educational facts that he would give were amazing! He's a real professor. I would gladly take his class again!
Submitted an Essay with the entire left side stapled from top to bottom. Received the essay back with feedback on how to improve and more staples preventing me from viewing the rest of the essay without removing the staples. Best teacher/course combo you could ask for.
One of my favorite teachers. If I could take this class again, I would. He helps you every step of the way and gives you every opportunity to succeed. He's a great teacher and a great person. Taking this class will help you academically, professionally, and personally. Take this class. But when you do, please trust him and his process.
Prof. Fairchild is one of the best professors Ive had. His class was interesting and I loved going. He expects you to try hard and really put in the work but he is always willing to help you. He might come off as a little intimidating at first but I can tell you that he genuinely cares about the success of his students in and outside of class.
I loved professor Fairchild! This was my first semester and I was so nervous going into it, but Fairchild absolutely made this class. He was so willing to help me and work with me all the time. He gave amazing feedback and was super funny. He also taught some really great life lessons that I am applying to my life everyday. Best class yet!
Best professor ever. Not only was the teacher super fun and great at teaching, but he also helps you see things from a different perspective! I got to spend the whole semester working on something I was passionate about because of him! If you are looking to actually enjoy your English 2010 class, take it from Fairchild.
This class wasn't just a class for me, it was an experience! I was actually pretty sad at the end of the semester because professors like Fairchild are soooo rare, believe me when I say this guy is the uncle Iroh of english professors. This is probably the only class you'll ever take where you get more than your money's worth of education.
This was my absolute favorite English class that I have ever taken. His lectures were very entertaining and interesting. I learned so much from this course and he made every writing assignment very doable. He cares about his students and wants them to be successful but he is also picky and wants you to improve. I 100% recommend this professor!
Do not take this class if you have anxiety. The classwork is not bad, and he gives good writing feedback, but he often proposes crazy questions to the class that does not relate to english and likes to stress people out. I always was super stressed in his class, but he might be the man for you if you like unexpected discussions.
Don't listen to these bad reviews. They were posted by people who clearly missed the point of this class. This class was AMAZING! I learned life-changing lessons here. This class was about critically thinking about stances and controversial topics while we researched our own topics. Every day we talked about writing in a good and intriguing way.
I hate that this class is over, and I disagree with the bad (lying) reviews here. I've never had a teacher understand me as he did. I suffer from depression and have never wanted to go to a class. He was there for me the whole way. I'm glad I trusted him. His support brought out my voice and made me more active in school.
My brother and I BOTH took this class. You will never find a professor who cares about students as much as this guy. You will never find a teacher who cares more or gives more. If you're a selfish student, you'll hate this class. If you have a problem with him, he wants you to talk to him and he will do everything to work with you.
I took this class with my sister. We have never enjoyed a teacher so much. If you're in college thinking you're the only student in the class. This isn't the class for you because it requires you to actually listen and hold discussions. Fairchild explains this on the first day of class. Students who don't pay attention to that, miss the point.
Fairchild's teaching is some of the highest quality teaching there is. His lectures leave you with life-long lessons not only for school, but for life in general. He gives feedback that is constructive and he respects and cares about his students. Some lectures and essays were pretty demanding (I cried) But we also had fun. I miss it all the time.
Fairchild is so much more than your average college professor. The discussions are very insightful and he made lectures entertaining, even for someone like me who's not a fan of English. He's always willing to work with students and really shows that he cares about your success. Might scare you at first, but just put in the work and you'll be good.
David Fairchild is the best professor I have ever had. I highly recommend this class. He made me believe I could become a writer. The class is demanding and teaches you a lot. If you want to become a compelling writer, you need to take this class. If you want a teacher who cares about you and your education, you need David Fairchild.
One of the best professors I have ever had.
Professor Fairchild is my number one favorite teacher. He genuinely cares about every single one of his students, both as a student and as a person. Every lecture had a different purpose, and participation is critical. Trust him!! He has a plan for the class, so don't give up at the beginning of the semester. I highly recommend Professor Fairchild.
Professor Fairchild's class was the hardest I've ever taken, but he definitely helped me become a better writer! During class I was always stressed because he made it seem like the end of the world, but I learned a ton! He is very understanding, and I always felt comfortable asking for help outside of class! He is really great to work with!
He is a good professor, even if he gets on a soapbox. Goal is to make you not just a better writer, but a more well-rounded person. Class isn't hard if you do the work. There's like 5 main papers, stay on top of writing them otherwise you'll drown. Attendance/participation is a major factor. You have to earn an A in this class, but it's not hard.
best teacher ever. Such a good class. Only bad part about it is that attendance is mandatory.
Pro. Fairchild is AMAZING. His class was incredibly difficult for me, but he made me feel like I could do it. He reaches out to his students and shows how much he cares about your education. He grades harsh, but it's necessary with the content he teaches. This class makes a difference. Don't miss anything, give his class the attention it deserves.
I'm really late on this review as I took Professor Fairchild's class about a year ago, but I decided I owe it to him to write a review here. Professor Fairchild was absolutely the best professor I've ever had. He's tough in a realistic way, gives countless opportunities to learn and improve, and he really cares about his students. Thank you, sir!
If you are planning on taking ENGL 2010 and do not take it from Professor Fairchild, you are doing yourself a disservice. He is probably the best professor currently at UVU. I have taken this class twice now and taking it from Fairchild was better by an incredible degree of magnitude. Be prepared to listen. Reach out, he truly cares.
Probably the best teacher I have ever had. I had a ton of fun being in the class. This class can seem daunting and difficult, but if you put in the time and the work, it will be easy. This class is also probably the most important class for your college career, and taking it from him will help you in college and for the rest of your life.
Really great and funny professor. Came into the class not feeling confident in my writing skills, but he really helps you guide you through the assignments. He breaks the norms of teaching and does it greatly. 10/10 person.
I can say with 100% surety that Prof Fairchild is the BEST Professor I've ever had. Super smart and down to earth, cares more about his students than most Profs. Prof Fairchild conducts this course in a way that leaves you with a skill set that allows you to be successful in ANY class & life in general. I hate english too. TAKE THIS CLASS!
Professor Fairchild is unlike any other instructor I've had so far. He puts the students' growth above all else and will do everything he can to help you improve. This course in general has a very heavy workload, but he does what he can to lighten the load and get rid of busywork. This course appears pretty intimidating, but just give it your all!
This professor is amazing! Much different than most English professors who teach basic grammar and punctuation. He teaches English how it should be and helps improve writing rather than just making you read a bunch of "what your essay is supposed to look like"papers. This was a really helpful class but can be intimidating if you don't participate.
Professor Fairchild has been an amazing!! Im glad I listened to these reviews to pick this class. I'll admit he's a bit unconventional but I really enjoyed his class. This was my first time in an English class where I felt like I'm coming out of it as a better student then when I entered. Professor Fairchild is that guy. PICK THIS CLASS ITS AMZING.
Professor Fairchild class was one of the most unique classes I've ever taken. He's a very rough grader and forces you too become a better writer. While it was really difficult he's a really funny teacher so it's worth it.
A lot of reviews said that he is funny but I found most of his lectures unrelated and unnecessary. It got to the point where I feel like he just liked to hear himself talk. I did really well in my the class but it was using all of my previous english knowledge- he didn't really teach me anything new.
Never had a teacher that cares as much as he does! Everything he says has a purpose. If you leave this class thinking his lectures are off topic, you are not paying attention to what the class is about. I've never seen a teacher give what he gives.
Professor was always there for me. I was scared and he showed me I had a voice. Lectures were always amazing! Clear from first day what to expect. This class is about questioning, evaluating and thinking. If you go just to be entertained, you're not doing your part and you'll hate it. This is a class, not a comedy show (though he is funny).
I have always hated English, but I always looked forward to this class more than my others because he was always so passionate and seemed to see me. It was always fun.
Because of what this teacher taught me, I got a better and higher paying job. He cares, and it shows in everything he does for his students. He's the best of the best. The ONLY way to not learn in this class is to be checked out. This is not a class for people to show up and just sit there or for people who don't want to learn.
I wouldn't have survived this semester if it weren't for professor Fairchild. He doesn't just teach. He has your back. You can call him all day. He has office hours. He has email. He is there for you. He says he's your greatest ally in the class AND he is. All you have to do to succeed in this class is to be willing to learn.
I will say that this professor might not be for everyone. He connected with me though. I'm actually very grateful for his lectures. I did sit next to a girl who only complained about him, but she never showed up and she never actually listened to lectures. He teaches you how to approach lifelong learning. You can't do that if you don't show up.
I liked him. I'll tell you. I tried pulling the wool over his eyes, because I just didn't want to go class, and he called me out for it and made me realize I wasn't doing what I was supposed to as a student. It made me rethink what I was doing in school and I realized that I wasn't doing what I wanted with my life. He helped me own my education.
I met a lot of friends in this class. I need to say this: This is a good class with a good teacher. Professor Fairchild taught us that only you can learn for you; so if you leave this class not learning, its not because P. Fairchild didn't teach. It's because you ignored him all semester and chose not to learn for yourself.
Best professor I ever had. Honestly, I entered this class with a chip on my shoulder, and looked for any excuse I could to find fault with him. About halfway through the semester, I realized I was the one getting in the way of my learning. I contacted him. We talked and it turned out I was the one who was checked out. Turns out. He's amazing.
Professor Fairchild is amazing and one of the best professor I've ever had. He made us trust in him but also in ourselves. I was really nervous about taking this class, but he made me enjoy writing and researching. You can learn so much more than just the topics of the class, he really push us to grow as students and as persons. TAKE this class!!
Good guy! Captivating and encouraging. Helps you understand who are as a student. I think the only way you could hate this guys is if you come into class with a bad attitude. Bad attitude is your fault not his. He tells you on the first day what to expect, so there should be no room to complain when what says will happen actually happens
I never had a teacher drop as much to help me as Professor Fairchild did. I was always told how bad I was at English and he helped me see that I was better than I thought. I have never felt so grateful for a Fairchild nor so fulfilled and focused since taking his class. He breaks his back for his students. I've never seen that before.
I didn't particularly love his teaching style but I can understand why a lot of people do! You can tell that he really does care about his students and their success in class and outside of class.
Good professor. What I like most about him is that you design the class and are in control of your own learning and have a voice in your own grades. And he invites you to let him know when he's not doing something you like so that he can improve. These bad comments are from people who clearly did not participate in their own learning.
I'm just going to say this. The people leaving these bad reviews are lying! He asks you to ponder a question. Why? It was a class about deep thinking. That's what this class was about and he directs it well. If you can't handle hearing new perspectives, you can't handle college. Listen to the reviews that actually took the class.
I took this class with my husband, and I agree with him. These negative posts about him are lies! I was there on the first day too! Anyone paying attention at all would know he encourages us to find our goals. This guy is the most enthusiastic teacher and most caring teacher I have EVER had. Someone is holding a grudge and trying to smear his name.
This teacher takes your calls. This teacher drops everything to help you, to meet with you; to look over your papers; to make sure you understand what's being asked of you. This teacher gives more and does more than any I've met. The only way you could possibly hate this teacher is if you go the entire semester ignoring him and his instruction.
This is a dang good teacher who doesn't deserve the bad ratings here. This teacher helped me discover purpose in college. He helped me get a job. He taught me to take opportunities. He gave me many chances to improve my standing in the class. And I'm letting all the people who were in our subreddit know they need to get on and say something.
Professor Fairchild really teaches you how to think about your community. He does talk about politics from many angles and even helps us learn how to verify information that politicians and leaders talk about. If you can't handle having your political views challenged in a critical thinking class, this class and college might not be for you.
He is a straight shooter. I liked that he told us what to expect from day one. He told us we would hear ideas that we would not like nor agree with because that's how we learn to talk to each other. The first day tells you everything. You don't have a right to be surprised when he lives up to his word. Honestly, it was fun, if you're participating.
I deserved to fail this class and professor fairchild helped me recover. He showed up several weeks in a row just to help me with my essays. Let me just say that you have to really go out of you're way to hate this guy. He says he's you're best ally in class and he is. Professor Fairchild, please don't change. Some students are just hateful.
Hold the phone! Whoever said his first lecture was on how to not take offense wasn't listening (clearly)! His first lecture was on recognizing our aspirations in college, and it was one of the most important life lessons I learned in this class. That's what his class is, life lessons and he gives THE BEST. Attend the first day and you'll see.
AWESOME CLASS! EVEN BETTER PROFFESOR! I loved learning about different perspectives and having my own ideas challenged. It helped me learn to talk with people I disagreed with better. That's what this class is all about. If you want to go through this class thinking your way of life is the only one out there, you're in the wrong mindset to learn.
This is the only class I looked forward to attending. I never knew what to expect. The best thing I learned from Professor Fairchild is how to listen and hear others' perspectives without throwing a tantrum and storming off like a baby when my ideas and opinions were challenged. He really helps you find your voice, but you have to actually show up.
I really liked him. I've seen the guy show more patience to primadonnas than I would. He reminds me of a coach. Coaches can only help those who show up. I never once saw him show an attitude of "There's only one way to see the world or write correctly!" But he nudges you to see more and writer stronger.
He is always prepared and always has a purpose and something to teach. Excellent teacher! Best advice I can give: show up! It's worth it, and you'll know what's going on. Unless you're checking out, it's impossible to not learn something. A teacher is only as good as a student who shows up.
Good teacher. Made class fun. I hate that it's over, and I'm glad that it is. Miss the teacher, not the class. Made a hard class enjoyable. He'll do everything for you except your own work. Not his fault if you're lazy.
Lit! I really like this professor. I really hated UVU and was going to drop out, then I took Professor Fairchild's class, and he helped me understand what no teacher taught me before; how to take charge of my education. I stayed at UVU and in college because of this man and this class.
If I could sum this teacher up in one word, it would be "Opportunity." He provides every opportunity he can for you to succeed in his class and teaches you how to find opportunity to succeed in the real world. If you leave this class wasting your opportunity to learn something, you were never a part of the class to begin with.
Next level professor who goes out of his way to make the workload manageable. Show up, you'll do well. Act like you're the only student in class, and you'll miss the point of the class entirely.
I dropped his class because I thought he was asking too much. Boy! Was I wrong! I had NO IDEA how good I had it! I ended up taking this course two more times from two other teachers (failing once). I finally passed only because I called Fairchild for help. Turned out, he gets it. Dropping his class cost me an extra year of work because of my ego.
I worked my fingers to the bone in this class and I had a blast! Here's what I can tell you about Dr. Fairchild. Show up. This class covers a lot of ground, and Fairchild helps you navigate it. Listen to him, ask questions and you'll enjoy it. Show up bullheaded and pretending you know everything and nosedive hard!
Took this class a couple years ago and looked him up again to see if people were thinking the same thing I was. Class felt more like life lessons than English. He's a good guy with thoughtful advice, but spent every day talking about personal stories. He almost treated class like a social experiment. I love English, so frankly I was disappointed.
I had a hard time with the way he taught. I thought very differently than Professor Fairchild. As you read the other ratings I understand where people are coming from. With this class, what you put in is what you are going to get out. He is understanding and has a good heart as a professor. I just had a hard time with his teaching style.
I disagree with these bad reviews. I've never seen a teacher give more or care more. I didn't always agree with him or his style, but that was a me thing, not a professor thing. When it really comes down to it, he wants to help. He was there when I called, emailed, texted, visited. These bad comments demonstrate people who didn't pay attention.
in class, you explore many pespectives-if you complain that you disagree with him, THAT'S THE CLASS!!! He pushes you to challenge perspectives he shares and also question them. If you can't handle taking a stance or questioning perspectives in a class ABOUT taking stances or questining perspectives, you're missing the point. He's good. Real good.
Show up on time. Don't make excuses. Use your Voice. Expect to suffer, in a good way. Unsure if over-explaining is intentional, but let him surprise you, especially if you disagree with him. Bring the correct number of PAPER copies have each stapled. This class is the definition of "you'll get out what you put in" (#OWLpurdueAPAisYOURgod, 2025).
Professor Fairchild is a fantastic guy. I've had few teachers that care more about their students. His class is engaging and he is very good at explaining concepts. Pay attention, and for God's sakes, show up. If you don't get something, ASK. He is more than happy to help. Also, Fairchild looks like if Tim Allen had a baby with the Keebler Elf.
Fairchild helped me grow so much during the semester. He gives great advice and is a great friend! Go to his office hours or even call him (he will answer if he's available): he's there to help. This is a class about life lessons and life is hard, so be prepared to learn the hard but important lessons. He is the best teacher for a class like this!
I never had a professor care as much as he does, he wants you to succeed and will help but you need to put in the work. SHOW UP TO CLASS (can't stress this enough). This class will challenge you, in the end you will be grateful it did. Also seriously go to his office hours, he will be more than happy to talk, provide feedback, and answer questions.
