He is one of the best teachers I ever had. He was strict and yet fair. His punctuality and clarity when presenting his lectures were exceptional. His reviews before exams and daily well-developed lectures, were extremely efective. Some of my classmates' grades were plummeted 'cause of thier laziness. I hold Mr. freeman in very high regards.

Some angry, foaming, drooling retards who don't qualify for academic courses turn in stick figure drawings as photographs. They bawl their heads off!

This class was fun I learned how to take good photographs, its not just about take a camera and shooting anything there is more to it and this class helped me understand more. There are many fun things you can learn with this professor and his class!

great teacher. prior to taking class, i had no interest in photography. because of him i bought a camera, lenses, and camera stuff. i learned alot. highly recommend class to amatuers who want to be photgraphers.

He is the best teacher i have had in college so far. He is super fun and likes to eat. I enjoyed beening in his class, we did a bunch of projects that i really did not get the first time but i came and i got it the secound time.

This was a good class, I learned alot in photography I. It was fun, most of our work was done outside of class (cemetary, carnaval, downtown. Most of our work was done at night. with the right settings we took pictures with out using flash. we learned other techniques that u can not learned by ready a textbook.

Really liked this class and it taught me alot about photography that I didn't know before. Teacher is funny, but still helpful. Taking this class was alot of fun. It's a plus that you're not always in the classroom; you get to go take pictures at several places.

Greatest, friendliest, down to earth, and funniest professor ever! He spends all of his money on art supplies for the students, so he has no money for groceries or food, so do take him some food -- he is the genuine starving artist and we need to help rescue him from starvation.

You won't come out as a professional but definitely a better photographer. Assignments are fun but you gotta make the time for them. You learn to be aware of the implications and details that are involved in a photo and use that to improve your skill. It can be a bit challenging but everyone would be a photographer if it wasn't.

Do not sign up for this class if you expect to get an "A" by simply clicking the shutter button. If any person is truly interested in developing photography skills, Freeman will give one the basic skills to do so. He does not tolerate idiodicy in his classroom as is should be. He made me work for that "A". I truly enjoyed his class.

He's a Hippy! very kool. Hes a good teacher sometimes gets off topics but its good hes stories are interesting, bought us pizza. But you do have to actually be dedicated to learn and work for that A.

David Freeman is a very interesting professor and has alot of creative knowledge on the subjects he teaches. He makes class very fun and he teaches you the real deal, deffinately a fascinating course, with multiple outtings and fun tasks.

everyone keeps talking about an easy A... just because it is an Art class it doesn't mean it will be an easy A this is COLLEGE not high school..when i began the class i really didnt know much about my camera.. Mr Freeman helped me to better understand how to use all the feature my camera has to offer. I am a better photographer because of him!!

Before PhotoI w/Mr. Freeman I was overwhelmed w/ all my camera's features, but w/in a couple of weeks I had the basics down pretty well, thnx to the projects that Mr Freeman assigned. Like in every college course, u EARN ur grade.DON'T be late or absent,DO turn in ur work on time n ALWAYS support ur creativity w/intelligence and a sincere passion.

He is a great professor, he is very dedicated, we did use the book for most of the lectures, and by the end of the class you will learn about the history of art.

An easy ?A? this is class is not, you must earn your grade with Mr. Freeman. If you have a problem or issue impacting his class requirements or your attendance then you just need to talk with him. Be straight up & true with him and he will treat you the same way. He makes learning art fun and the assignments are not too demanding. Learn and earn.

He really does need to iron his shirts. But if you focus on his face and not on his clothes, you can learn so much.

By no means an easy A, you earn the grade you get.He is a professor who is very passionate about art and pushing his students to discover their inner artistic talents. A DSLR is required, if you've never used one prior to the class you will know everything about your camera by the 2nd or 3rd week. Only lazy people will complain about the class.

If you are looking to become a better photographer, this is a good course to take. The instructor was very informative. I learned a lot about using all the features on my DSLR. This class is definitely not an easy A. By the end of the semester, I even had someone offer to buy one of my prints!

Not the easiest A but very obtainable. If you enjoy taking pictures this class will take you to the next level. You?ll learn how to use your DSLR which you have to have to take this class. Things you?ll learn and enjoy using D.O.A (depth of field), Action, Blur, Pan, framing and composition just to name a few. Be prepared to take allot of photo?s.

Overall this class was very informative and I learned various aspects as far as digital photography goes. I was able to learn a lot of technical aspects of my camera. I am now able to do photographs and get paid plus I have been requested to do some commercial work. Great class but be prepared to work hard!

To be honest i thought the class was going to be a waste of time but it was completely the opposite. Mr. Freeman made this class great showing us how to view our environment and surroundings in a whole different way. It wasn't just all text book and memorizing. Overall the class was great.

Saw that a person with a name like Freeman has to be a cool guy and he was. Art has never been a big interest but how it was described and said in his words made me see things around the world in an artistic way. Only thing if you have this teacher is you have to understand sarcasm and not take it too serious.

My first intellectual conversation about art was with Mr. Freeman. Knows what hes talking about and is very helpful and creative. The only hard thing about the class is getting a camera besides that its pretty easy.

A prof. you either love or hate. Took photo 1, his class is an experience. He can be very harsh but he does mean well. I wanted to drop so bad in the first few weeks. Glad i didn't, i learned alot and now he's actually one of my fave teachers ever. He expects alot from his students. His class is what u make of it. Advice: learn to defend your art.

I took Photography I & II with him. If you don't have a creative, artistic bone in your body you're going to have a tough time getting through this class BUT Mr. Freeman WILL help you. It's mainly self-learning SO YOU HAVE TO DO THE WORK.

Great Professor, very knowlegable in his field of study. He is very blunt so dont take it personal. Make sure you take notes and show up to class. You will have a tough time if you do not put any effort. All around Mr. Freeman is an awesome professor and this is a great class to learn how to shoot pics using a DSLR camera. Professor Freeman is an okay professor. I, myself am not interested in art. I love looking at it, but as far as learning about it, I am not too crazy about that. Professor Freeman lectures and the book is needed almost everyday because he will go over chapters. The group project will be hell but you'll get through it. He's easy and helpful.

Loved taking this class, Professor Freeman is a true artist and is so passionate about art. Being in this class really opened my eyes and allowed me to also gain a new found love for ART! Was very fun and would no doubt take this professor again!

Really funny and random. Would recommend. Only thing was there was one group project not too difficult and the final was a mask and photo portfolio. So more drawing than I though it would be.

Mr. Freeman is the best Photography Professor ever! He makes class fun & engaing. Make sure to do your work & definitelt study for midterm & final. Its not hard, it just requires alot of memorization of the Principles of Elements of Design & other camera functions & modes. Bottom line, get this class. You will not regret it.

Lets face it people - if you're taking an art class you should & better be able to take constructive criticism. An instructor who obviously has a wide range of expertise, you should not skip this class. Great for your art credit. I learned a ton about my camera that I didn't know before. Not just photography, you really grab a true vision for art.

He is an inspirational professor who has a passion for art. He knows what he is talking about, I would totally recommend his class. I learned so many things like S.W.A.M.I, depth of field, metering, ISO and so on. You have to be creative, the more creative the better, you will find your style of photography in this class. I definitely take it!

Mr. Freeman is such a good, knowledgeable and funny professor-although he leaves to much homework, be expected to waste more than 500 dollars in his class for sure. DSLR CAMERA the first day of class is a must!!! He loves cheese Cheetos and he will give harsh critiques about your work so work hard on your material. Expects professional work though
