he is such a****and thinks that he is so cool. he is a horrible teacher! he doesnt help at all and his voice is so annoying! what a ****!

Terrible! Keeps saying his 4 year old can do the problems but no one else seems to be able to. Doesn't demonstrate anything. Just uses slides he didn't even make. Obviously doesn't know what he is talking about. Run away!

I hated this class and so did everyone I talked to. Many kids including me talked about how much we wanted to kill ourselves after this class and its very true. He expects us to understand the material after he says something once. I would love to just scream in his face when I see him. I would love to say so much more but please RUN AWAY!!!!!!

horrible, i usually never say that its a teachers fault that you get bad grades but he doesnt TEACH chem and it's impossible to teach it to yourself. do not take this guy. i recommend that if u need to take chem and he's the only one left take it in the summer with someone else b/c you wont learn anything and you'll end up hating chem anyway

horrible, i despise him with a passion. i love chemistry and all differetnt types of science but sitting thru his lectures makes me want to change my major to art or somethgn as far away from any of his classes possible. plus he's arrogant

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. i had AP chem 1 and 2 in high school.. straight A's. Now in his class, I have a low C. not only does he make the test virtually impossible, his teaching style absolutely sucks and he teaches as if we're taking the most advanced chemistry ever. HELLO Dr. F, we signed up for GEN CHEM 1.

if at all possible, do not take this guy. he belittles every student. says his gay little son can do everything better. doesnt curve the class even though the majority is failing. expects you to eat, sleep, breath chemistry - doesn't think his students have any other important classes. not a good teacher! think twice before signing up for this

the guy is an egotistical idiot. i made high honors in college and took him my last semester. i am now a year behind for grad school cause i had to retake his class. DO NOT TAKE HIM. IMPOSSIBLE. he couldnt teach his way out of a paper bag. by far the worst professor i have ever had in college

Absolutely terrible professor. Do not take him you will regret every second of it. He ASSUMES everyone is a chemist when they step through the door and can do every experiment the way HE can and you can magically say what HE would say on a report. This is about as worthless of a professor as they some. DO NOT TAKE!!!

This is one of the hardest classes I have ever taken in my life. He gives extra credit but in the grand scheme of things it does very little to help your grade. He openly calls out students who are having trouble in the class and asks them what their grade is in front of everybody. If you have him, go to class or you will fail, even if its optional

Dr. F is one of the rudest people I have ever met. Some people may say that he is just honest and straight forward...I couldn't disagree more. He goes out of his way to call you out and say very rude and nasty things. You better not make a mistake in lab or you're in trouble. You will never get an A on a big assignment or in his class. AVOID HIM!!

Dr. F assumes every high school had a good chemistry program & assumes you know all material. a lot of work for one class, i take 4 other classes and all the work combined is still less than the amount of work he expects, hes also rude, degrading, and careless. if he put as much effort into teachin as he did music on his slides, it may be easier.

Warns you in the beginning that he does not teach because the material should have been covered in high school. Don't do much in class, all quizzes and exams are online. He really doesn't care about his students success, he will call you out at anytime on anything. As long as you do well on the exams and quizzes you will pass but fo not recommend.

The most AWFUL professor i have ever had. He assumes you have already completed a chemistry course in high school and know everything, so he treats his chem courses like AP organic chem classes. Unbelievable disrespect, in lecture he has made fun of people with disabilities and thinks its funny. Fights with students in lecture, swearing at them.

I had Dr. F as my lab professor. He says he teaches us as if we have never taken a chem class before, but I disagree. He does expect us to have the knowledge and will call you out in front of the class for your mistakes. He is also disrespectful and will swear at the class. He often put together powerpoint presentations to tell us how bad we did.

Dr. Frohnapfel is very specific on how he grades the lab reports. If you don't do exactly how he wants you to do it, good luck. Highly recommend taking another professor for lab.

This guy is a joke. He bashes on people because they asked for help. If you have a question you may as well just attempt to figure it out on your own because that's what he will tell you to do. His grading is ridiculous so hard to understand. Says current course score and it's definitely not. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS!!!

He is by far the worst professor Ive ever seen. My roommate also had him and he is terrible. For example, he would go over an example problem and give the answer. The exact problem would show up on a test/quiz and if you marked the answer he gave and worked through, youd be marked incorrect. Hes so very bad. Drop while you can.

This is the WORST professor ive had at SRU. The class Intro to Chem is terrible, you only take quizzes and TopHat to learn. He does not help individuals at all. One person asked if they should get a tutor and he wrote a 3 page response on why you shouldn't. He made his own book for the class, which does not help one bit.

This is the hardest class with the hardest professor. So much going on at once, doesn't do a good job explaining anything. Test are timed by how many questions there are (10 questions10 mins). Expects you should know everything & not ask questions. Does offer a lot of extra credit but is hard and nearly impossible to complete. Dont take his class

There was more work to do in this 1 credit lab than all of my other classes combined. It is absolutely unnecessary and used too much time. The grading made absolutely no sense, when you thought you did well, you'd wind up with a 60%. Do not take this professor.

Horrible professor, grades excel sheets by what he feels like per individual and is very passive aggressive in emails. Very confusing labs for online.

Terrible professor. I have no words for the amount of work that had to be done for a 1 credit class. I had to do more work in this class than any of my other classes and received a far worse grades than any others. Avoid this professor at any cost.

This just sums up his class, I got a 90 on a test and he rounded it down to an 83. His tests are really tough so if you can avoid him at all costs.

This 1 credit class gave me about 4x the work of my 3 credit lecture class. I took this over a 4 week period in the summer, and it was probably the most stressed I have been thus far in my college career. Definitely not a class to take over the summer if you value your sanity and mental health. Working with others is your best bet to pass.

If you dont have your doctorate in chemistry, then you might as well pack it in now buddy. Cheating and praying to god wont help with this class. Had someone send me old assignments that they had with the feedback, adjusted it according to the feedback he gave, and got a worse grade. Do not take him if you want to keep your sanity.

He never responded to me unless it was basically telling me to stop being stupid. Told me that I can't use notes and I need to figure it out with my own brain when I never learned it before. If you have a 100% in the class before the final you will fail if you don't get at least a 50%. I studied for 3hrs, nor I or nobody I asked understood it!

Let's just say I got a tutor for his class knowing how hard it was going to be. My tutor was the head of the chem department at Point Park University and her husband was a chemist for US Steel. They both STRUGGLED with what he provided in an INTRO class! Get ready to use then university's mental health program during and after his class. :)

Worst professor at SRU. He has a poor attitude and has read reviews about himself. He has stated he was an ahole in class. 90% of this class is done out of class. Expect 2 pre lab quizzes online and another 2 when you get in class. Read the D2L page or expect an F. Do not, again, do not take this professor or you might lose the will to live.

Dr. F gives too much homework for being a 1 credit lab. The work he gave took the longest out of my 6 lecture classes. I would not recommend taking this course.

Absolutely awful. I had so much trouble with this class, there was so much information and work thrown at me all at once. You have to pay almost $100 for TopHat to even access your assignments. While he does give tons of bonus assignments, they take forever to do and can take up your entire weekend.

Dr.F is a funny guy, BUT he can also be rude and insensitive. The work is very difficult concerning it's an intro course. You are expected to teach yourself everything on his online book he made himself before class, then during class he recaps on what you should've learned. The idea was good but poorly executed. Prepare to use tutors and therapy.

drop it switch to a different professor, way to much for a one credit class, U will be confused and belittled

Dr. F. is a character. He is a tough person and honestly is not for everyone, including me. That class was hard asf for no reason and he made my first semester way harder and stressful.

Extremely difficult for an intro course. Makes you buy his own book to use on tophat, it is confusing and vague mostly. An incredible amount of questions and quizes per chapter for an intro course makes things way too time consuming. Offers bonus assignments worth a measly 2-3 points that take hours to complete. Do not recommend taking.
