I learned a lot in this class. Although it is an online course there were adequate study sessions to prepare for tests.

I was not fully convinced with Professor Gersh's test.Took an online class with him and dropped it after the 2nd test.His test are very difficult.Although it is open book, it is still difficult for you to know the answer.Questions on test are about eighty something. I do not recommend for an online.

He has tests every week, but it actually keeps you on your toes. His tests are easy.

This was my second online class with Dr. Gersh and I enjoyed it as much as the first. He is a great teacher and I would highly recommend him to anyone interested in psychology and not afraid of doing a little work. I got high As in both classes.

Good teacher. Asking intelligent questions in class goes a long way. HINT Half his test questions comes from online study guide self test.

Good teacher, always answered questions. Test were based on the book but you do have to think a little bit. Not a hard class.

I took this class online. Make reading the chapters and answering the study guide priority (just multiple choice questions) and this class will be pretty easy.

i took his social psychology class online this semester. there was no final :) must read the book to take the test. he gives plenty of time to take tests and submit homework. very fair.

you will learn alot from him. he teaches in the most interesting way. Although you really have to study to get an A, but he makes you learn the material easily.

he is one of the most intelligent professors i have had in hcc. he is really very clever and i learned alot in this class. Although his exam is very cleverly constructed. You think your sure, but when you get your scantron your wrong. I don't know what's with his exams but his teachihng strategy is very good. take him if you really want to learn.

I took this prof through distance ed. Easy class as long as you keep up with the work. He gives ample time to complete assignments and tests. Super helpful when you have questions.

Very easy class. Took it online, distance ed. There is a test on every chapter but they are all open book. Though, the questions were pretty tough because it was open book.

Recommend that if you know someone else taking this class SHARE a book. The new books come with free access to the website. One of you can use the book the other the website. Same info

Dr. Gersh is a great teacher! He makes it really clear what will be on the test. He goes over everything in class, and makes it interesting. Online discussions are interesting.

I took the course through distance ed. There are individual tests over every chapter which helps if you do poorly on one, you have many more to bring your grade up. Tests were multiple choice and no final. Provides extra credit. You have to keep up with your reading assignments. Excellent at answering questions and responding to emails quickly.

I took this as an online class. He offers several extra credit options, responds quickly to messages and spells out what is required. He also has a make-up test time with no questions asked if you didn't take it. I liked him enough that I will look for his classes in the future.

As many have already stated, this is not an easy class. However, the Professor is very responsive and helpful. Gives plenty of opportunity to succeed provided you work hard and do all the assignments.

I got a "C" in the class, but that was just because of what i had going on at home. This class made me actually want to study Psychology for a minute! Extremely thorough, uses the book ALOT, pay attention & be on time!! He can be flexible but try to never miss a test or class. I learned SO much! If you dont like to study, dont take this class.

Took 8week online class and made an A. He was so nice, gives pleanty of time for quizes. He offers extra credit, but it is a lot of work. I was able to take this with 3 other classes and it was not bad at all. He always checks his blackboard and always willing to help. I had a 100 avg until the final.

he gives you test all the time(7 test a semester), you also have two assignment, and 4 discussions.

Delivers his lectures in a clear concise manner. If you have any questions about what he covers he'll gladly help. Before he begins lectures, he'll review what he went over yesterday. Grades promptly and overall a good teacher. Put in the effort and you can easily make an A.

8 week online course. Required significant study, reading and minor critical thinking. Everything is timed and his quizzes are in depth. The course was full of content that everyone can apply to life in a practical way. Nice guy but be prepared to commit yourself in order to pass

I took this class online for the second 8 weeks a lot of work and reading but I walked out with a B. Read do the assignments and keep up with what's going on. A syllabus quiz 10 25-40 question tests. 1 Autobiography and 4 discussions. A final exam and an extra credi assignment. Do thes assignments and you'll be fine. Make sure u know the material.

Great teacher. Took PSYC 2319 online. Has self-paced quizzes for each chapter of the book. He's efficient, friendly, helpful and available. Grades and replies to emails promptly. I highly recommend him.

He is very helpful. If English is your second language then take him. He allows you to use dictionary during the test. I couldn't pass psychology in my country, but I made an A here :) BUT be ready to read modules, and do pratice tests (some questions come from there) For me, I'm really happy to spend my first academic semester with him :)

I don't understand anyone who rates him as unhelpful. He makes makeup and seeing him pretty easy. His grading system is clear, along with expectations for tests. Don't fall behind on modules or you'll struggle. He allows to drop one test, not including final. Gives same extra credit to everyone. Had 2 simple homework assignments.

There is no doubt that Dr Gersh has a passion for teaching, you cannot be in his class and remain the same you, at the end of the semester you might be tempted to change your major to psychology if were majoring in a different field unlike some professors that in HCC just for pay check. He is very helpful i recommend you take him.

He's clear on what he wants and what will be on the test. Heavy use of the textbook, which an e-version can be bought online for a third of the price. He enjoys his subject and makes it enjoyable to learn. About 4 or tests, quizzes, two writing assignments, that's it. His class actually helped me to learn how to effectively study.

Professor Gersh was very helpful. You can tell that he loves Psychology. Studying is necessary if you want an A, but the material is interesting so it's not terrible. As a Psychology major, I really enjoyed this class.

Prof Gresh online psyc 2319 is pretty simple .Follow the syllabus and you need the book to pass .11 chapter Quizzes that are pretty simple if you read .only three discussions .

Really enjoyed this class, 9 chapter test 3 discussions 2 homework assignments and a syllabus quiz, very easy to get in contact with him, Turn everything in on time and you should be okay, you need a textbook to pass but material isn't hard to learn, I took him in person and decided to take class again this semester because he's very organized.

LOVED Dr. Gersh's online class! Although I never needed to contact him personally (bc his class was very straightforward and all guidelines were very clear), he was always avail to answer questions. You absolutely need the textbook. And READ it - even if it's one chapter a day. The text is v informational and interesting. You will not regret it!

Easy homework. Some say he's boring, but he's just kinda reserved. I grew to like him, he's like a cute grandpa. As long as you read the chapters and show up to lectures you'll pass. Great class! I would take him again, Basically there is a chapter reading and an exam(25 questions) every week. Maybe like 2 small essay homeworks but they're fairly easy. He is quick to respond and is always trying to help. Social Psychology is very interesting! Beware, final can be on campus and you cannot google answers!! Must read and work!

Professor Gersh is a very generous and lenient grader, and he makes himself available to his students pretty much all of the time. Weekly updates with students, and turnaround time for grades is good. The workload is light and Prof is pretty cool. Easy A!

He's very responsive. If you have any questions and you email him he responds within 24 hours. I took the 5-week summer session and the class was not hard at all. Discussions are interesting and thought-provoking, and don't require too much.

Correcting a few comments below: you're NOT required to submit your homework to a tutor. Nothing on the exams are "random." You can use your notes and book during the exams!! (But not the final). I took his hybrid class, read the chapters (great textbook, easy to understand), easy A. Prof Gersh explains everything and his expectations.

I took his hybrid class and it was the easiest class I've ever had. All work/tests were online and he gives simple extra credit. He makes sure everyone understands what is going on in the class, and answers questions thoroughly. You can tell he cares about students' education. The tests were hard, but if you study & take notes, you'll pass them.

Prof Gersh is a great professor. Read the chapters for each class, and then he goes into more details in lecture, so you're completely caught up with what is necessary to understand from the book. He doesn't test on anything that isn't covered in lecture or general topics from the book. He answers emails quickly and is available outside of class.

I got him online. Course book is very important for this course, you should get. There are no midterm exams, only chapter exams. There are a total of 12 chapter tests online. FINAL TEST (100 questions) IN CLASS, not as online. If you read your textbook regularly, it is easy to get A.

Took him in the summer for the 5 weeks hybrid and he was amazing. He does tells you the first day of class that you must make a 50% or higher on the final to pass. Going to class is a must, he does in class participation within groups and work on a quick assignment.

I took this course online (without a schedule or mandatory meeting). The exams were open-book and open-note (even the comprehensive final) but reading the chapters was very necessary to score well on the exams. There were 2 written assignments and 4 class discussion postings. I loved this class and Dr. Gersh was great.

Awesome in every way! Exams are exactly like the practice materials and non proctored. Unlimited attempts on homework. Easy grader on the projects. This was the easiest A I have ever received. Professor really cares about his students and always responded promptly. The pace of the class is extremely comfortable and easy.

I took this class online, the pacing of the class was nice as everything was usually due at the end of the month. The homework was simple and the discussions really made me want to engage in the class. Study your concepts and you should be good to go! Professor Gersh is also very kind and you are always able to reach out to him

i took him online and it was easy to maneuver. if you took an exam or quiz and did well, he would give you words of encouragement. very sweet guy. the work load is not much but participation does matter especially on the discussion posts which are really easy. no LDB. i really recommend him!!

Wonderful at what he does. He posts announcements 1-2 times per week, states what the expectations are very clearly and was compassionate enough to let me submit an assignment that was one month overdue (we both agreed I could get 50% credit, but it's better than a zero). Course load can be completed at your own pace and there is a chapter assignment to complete along with a chapter exam for each of the chapters.The professor gave weekly announcements over recorded video which made the "Online Anytime" experience feel more personal. With a combined class of 96 students, his class was well received and managed.

Very clear grader and instructions for assignments. His lessons are easy to understand , reasonably spaced out. All test open until the end of the class which helps out a lot when you get behind . Open book tests quizzes and finals . He is very responsive and has a good sense of humor easy A .
