wow...avoid him at all costs. he knows a lot of material, but gets so off the subject, it becomes annoying. you do nothing exciting in labs, in fact you rarely DO the labs. you mostly write down what he tells you in lab, then leave early. nothing learned
very cool professor.

The worst class I have ever taken. Just dont do it.
Let's sum it up this way: you learn a lot about his personal life and not much about biology, unless you plan on reading the book. Nice guy...just tends to stray off topic a lot
He gets really far off the subject and you wonder if the class is about biology, his childhood or his life in Chicago. I heard he is harder than when I had him.
VERY EASY PROFESSOR. Everyone that takes this class should get an A. IF you don't get an A or at least a B, there is something wrong with you.He is easy. I took it as a fun class and it is.
This is a really weird guy. I could write a book about this guys like by the end of the semester. His test are really hard but the lab quizes are really easy.
You learn a lot about his dog, friends, and other things not pertaining to Anatomy. He also says "well, anyway..." a lot. He's nice, but I haven't really learned a whole lot.
very unusual individual yet nice, gets off topic A LOT, and when i say a lot, i mean A LOT, can get annoying @ times. tests are kinda tough, but lab quizzes are piece of cake. doesn't have much credibility, but it's a passable class.
Not bad for a biology teacher. Trys to relate textbook material to real life, but sometimes gets off topic in the process. Labs are pretty easy, lecture tests are semi-hard, but doable. If one goes to his office, he is always helpful and nice. Nice guy.
great guy, makes biology fun
When he strays off topic it generally pertains somehow to what we're doing. It helps form a connection between the class material and real life. Class is challenging. Teacher is genuine.
This guy is NUTS. He should go into storytelling not BIOLOGY.
He's a very nice guy & I'm pretty sure he knows what he's talking about. THe problem lies in him actually talking about Bio. He gets off topic quite a bit. But the class is easy if you pay attn & the material is interesting even if his tangents aren't.
This class will require a lot of patients! somethimes its tought to follow because he gets off subject so much. Perhaps his test should cover his family & childhood Hx, because that is what I have truley learned. Read the book ...your on you're own.
Crazy teacher. He's nice, but gets off topic way too often, and what's on the review sheet is NOT what's on the test. Read the book. Tests are HARD HARD HARD!
He is one who loves to hear himself talk, especially about his brother. He just wasn't a great teacher...avoid him at all costs!!!!!
The subject itself is difficult. The teacher is very helpful and knows what he's talking about. He gives extra credits and as long as you read your material and attend his exam review, then you should get an A in his class.
you really have to pay attention in this course. The teacher is very eager to help. he also wants everyone to do well. Take advantage of review sessions and office hours, and you will be sure to get an A.
this class should be easy, but staying awake and motivated is made difficult because he talks so long about nothing. i thought the class would be interesting, but his lectures are TORTURE to sit through. don't take him if you want to actually learn about biology.
DOES NOT DO REVIEW SESSION FOR WHOLE CLASS
this is a good teacher...he truly wants his students to do well, and he offers two different review sessions before a test so that everyone will be able to attend if they want to......if you do attend you will get an a on the test.
he does try hard to teach and help you out, BUT he does get off subject ALOT. I just talk to my neighbor until he got back on track. The class is hard, but its bio not PE.
Always willing to help you out!
This class is not very hard if you study for tests and quizzes, the professor gets off track and tells stories too much. But he is a pretty nice guy who is willing to help. Review sessiions helped me.
He is a nice guy, and he really knows his stuff, however his class is really hard. He will lecture about really broad things, and then only test on about a third of it. The third that he teaches you have to know in depth so yoiu never really know if you are studying the right thing.
Biology is a hard subject that is #1, I think he does the best job that any one could do to break it down, you have to work. You must be prepared for lab before you come to class. Study you guide and notes, and dont be afraid to ask for help. He will help you and is willing to help if you ask. I thi
Simply, if you have trouble in Griffiths class I do NOT reccomend continuing in or entering any science majors. He's a very good professor and, honestly, does the best job in his program.
Good teacher, hard subject. He is always willing to help you learn the material
He gets off on random tangents, but he is the best in the department! His detailed, fill-in-the-blank notes are extremely helpful and allow you to actually pay attention in class while taking notes. He's always willing to help too. He's kink of cooky, but
gets off subject easily. drags things out. doesn't seem like he knows what he's talking about. quiz in every lab - easy points. follow study guide and you'll be golden for tests.
having a teacher with ADD and ADHD is not a good thing and he is happy that the class avge. is around a 50-60% bad teacher if you ask me
He gets of on tangets alot but is overall a real good teacher. Go to his study sessions he will give you hints for the tests. He has real detailed notes and use the study guides everything on the test is off the study guides. Go to office hours for additional help hes always willing to help

He is awesome! He is funny, nice, and willing to help anytime you need it...and when he helps it is awesome help. I highly recommend taking any course with him!
Gets off the subject a lot in class. But if you follow the study guide the lecture tests are easy. Also the lab quizes are real easy
He is excellent! He gives you the notes for the entire class, helps you out, and review for EVERY test. It is so easy!
Gets off on tangents about things but overall he is a great teacher and practicly hands away points. He has lab quizes every week that he reviews in lab before you take the quiz. He also has extra credit quizes throuhout the semester and if you make every class gives you 20 ec points. His tests are ok except for the first which is hard.
really good prof. exams are tough but manageable if you do the study guides. lab is really easy. he is always willing to help you if you don't understand something.
Dr. Griffith is an okay professor. He is willing to help if you need it. His study guides really help you on on exams. Attend the review sessions and you'll do great. 8 AM lecture, however, is NOT good with this man...I don't beleive they'd really be good with anyone though.
This man is a saint, albeit one with ADD. He gives you fill in the blank notes, then if you attend his review sessions he gives you the answers for the test. If you can stomach the craziness for three hours, if you go through the study guides personally with him it's even better! I recommend him for anyone non-science oriented. I am and I got an A!

This man is a great guy. Yes he does go on ADD tangents, but you get fill in the blank notes.Taking it in the summer he is very leanient and we dont even get a cumulative final this session! If you need extra help he is very willing to help you. I also find the website for the book helps, but I myself never read the book. Go to all study seesions.
Hey Griffith, do you think you can flirt with the college girls more than what you already do? If you want a class that is unfair and watch your teacher give pretty girls the most attention, by all means sign up.
Great guy, goes through the material fast but it's required for the time. Very nice and is always willing to help.
professor Griffith was one of the best teachers that I had ever had at Ferris State University. I mean at first I found him to be really odd, but the more you get to know him as a teacher you realize that he is a pretty funny guy. A bit goofy at times but thats better then a stiff. This professor helped me tremendously when I needed it. I appreciat
He talks ALOT! But he's a great guy and he knows his stuff. I thought the class was pretty easy, and he really enjoys getting to know his students. Tests have no suprises, and he offers quite a bit of extra credit in the class. Lab is very very easy!
Very eccentric. Loves to talk and usually goes off topic - but it's always worth listening to. Class isn't that boring - lab is great! He's a great professor and if you've got any questions - he's gonna be sure to help!
Very good teacher. Sometimes gets off topic but not bad. Easy tests if you just learn the notes from the packets you buy. Don't use the book in class but nice to have to study for lab with. Lab is easy to get an A in just study. Its all memorizing so if you know it you'll do well
He's a good teacher. He just has a lot of energy.....all the time. You get points for showing up and he gives extra credit quizzes. Overall, he's a nice guy.
he is a good teacher but he does get off the topic a lot. the lab class is really easy and helps raise your grade.
he's great! absolutly awesome! very helpful, does lots of review. you will love, love, love him!
I really recommend him for biol 205!
He is a great professor. I would recommend taking him as much as you can. Make sure you attend class you get extra credit if you do. He also has random extra credit quizzes. He is really good at helping you if you need it. He is really one of the only good Biology professors at Ferris!
Very Nice and helpful guy. If you want to pass Bio 205 witha good grade take him! Best Bio teacher I've had at Ferris!
Amazing professor! Very interesting, easy to talk to. Talks a little too much about non-class related stuff, especially when going on about not having enough time, but overall, a great professor. Take him!
Honestly, in between his rabbit trails, he barely spits out the lecture material. He flies through it so much by the time the test roles around, you have to learn all the material again. Also, when I went to his office for help, all he did was talk. Nice guy, bad teacher. Don't take him.
He is a really nice guy. Loves to talk but as being a teacher he is not the best. I tried calling him, going to his office, writing emails and he never responded. He does care about his students but more as friends and not teaching them. He gets off subject way to much so its hard to pay attention/ pick up information for the test.
He is a very nice guy but is easy to get off topic. This class is straight memorization, lecture isnt useful but you kinda have to go for the extra credit. Go to study review b4 the test he will help you out and tell you what to focus on more
WELL I HAD TO TAKE THIS CLASS 5 TIMES!!!! ILL LET YOU TELL IT 2 WITH FRIAR AND 3 WITH HIM.STUDY IF YOU WANT TO PASS IF NOT MOVE ON U WONT PASS WITHOUT STUDYING
I recommend taking this professor for BIO 105 because the class is fairly easy. Just show up every time and you get extra credit. If you go to the review sessions before the test he tells you exactly what to study and if you can memorize it then you will get the A.
Stating facts from powerpoint is his lecture! If you want to learn, DONT take this class. I love A&P and he is terrible at teaching. I had to correct him within the first week!! He has SEVERE ADD! He gives you a study guide for tests that are 5 times the test length, as long as you know the slides in and out you should be ok.
Great guy, very nice person. Totally incompetent on his subject though. Its an easy enough class if all you want to do is learn stuff for the test and forget it shortly thereafter but if you actually want to get something from it, take Friar, his class is harder, but a lot more educational.
Great Teacher! Really funny and loves what he does. Would definitely recommend Griffith to anyone. Tests aren't super easy but it is A&P after all, so you can't expect to pass without alittle studying. He's very helpful and easy to talk to.
well what can I say this was a very easy class that should have been hard. all i can say is someone got a hold of his old test. he is a very lazy professor who do not change the test. soooooo I pass with an "A". Study if you wanna pass lol
I loved this guy! He's a great professor, the material he teaches can be difficult at times, but he does a great job teaching it. His tests are hard if you don't study. Takes questions right from book and old quizzes. I really liked that he knew me by my first name with 100 other students in class. He cared about students and their learning.
Griffith does not explain his lecture notes. He gets off topic every other minute, and it is incredibly annoying. The powerpoints are not clear at all, so it is hard to study. Due to his stories, plan on being in lab the entire 3 hours. TAKE FRIAR IF YOU WANT TO LEARN.
Dr. Griffith is one of the best professors I've had! He's hilarious and always keeps his lectures interesting. His test can sometimes be hard so you have to study hard but you learn a lot from it! You will definitely get your moneys worth with him, which I love. I highly recommend him!
This class isn't too hard if you are willing to study. Griffith gets off track a lot and reads right off the powerpoint, but knows his stuff. Exams are from the powerpoints but aren't too bad if you study a decent amount. I'd take him over Friar.
If you can't pull out at least a B- in the class then you arent trying. Not that it is easy, but he provides all the information he will test or quiz you on. Dont be lazy. Nobody helps explain biology better.
I had Dr. Griffith for lab and he is very knowledgeable and helpful, but gets off topic and can rush through things. He is a great guy and a good teacher though you need to be very self motivated to do good in his class.
Great professor and very helpul! Clearly explains all of the notes and powerpoints and is hilarious to listen to. He does get a little side tracked sometimes. The material for the tests comes directly from the notes. However, I should stress that there is a ton of material for this course so be prepared to study several hours a week.
Dr. Griffith is a spectacular teacher. He cares about all students, and he goes out of his way to help students study and understand the material. He makes lecture pretty funny too. I would absolutely recommend him for bio.
Don't bother buying the book. The tests are straight from his fill-in-the-blank notes. Attendance isn't necessary to do well in the course. Hes a wonderful guy. Goofy as all hell, but a great teacher.
One of the most informative teachers at Ferris. Not only does Griffith ensure that you learn the material, but he educates you on how it is related to real life. His tests are difficult but if you study regularly and keep up, you should have no problem getting an A, as he lets you know exactly what information you need to know. Overall awesome!!
Great, passionate professor! Goes off on some tangents, but brings in real life examples that make it memorable (ex. headstands, running around, jumping over chairs). Exams are straightforward and right from your notes. Lab is interesting and not terribly challenging. I would definitely recommend him!
Hands down the best professor at Ferris! In my opinion he is a way better professor than Dr. Friar! TAKE GRIFFITH
By far best bio teacher I've had so far. Class covers tough concepts but he explains everything so it all makes sense. The tests aren't easy but he helps you know what to study for so they're easy to pass.
Dr. Griffith is one of the best professors I've had so far. He is very knowledgeable and can be super random and goofy! You have to pay attention and STUDY to pass lecture exams and lab quizzes, but he makes it interesting and worth the effort. His random stories and silliness are what make me love this class most. Highly recommend Griffith!!
Best professor I've ever had! He became a friend, actually, and there is a lot of material, but he just cares a lot about detail and the fact of things. Therefore, he does a lot of real-life examples, med news, etc. If you truly like science, take him and pay attention! Tests are straight off notes & review questions :)
LOVE PROF GRIFFITH! Gives HELLA extra credit (100 pts). Quizzes and class activities are SUPER EASY, exams require some attention but if you miss some questions on the exam the extra credit will surely cover you. All quizzes and exams are online. Would totally recommend! Really cares and does a lot of demonstrations to help you get the material.
I absolutely loved Griffith. He has a different type of personality and humor from many people ( including my own) so it's hard to truly relate, but overall a very nice, want to help professor. Best advice is GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS. He wants to help you. It's a hard subject so in order to pass you have to study pretty much everyday.
I LOVED taking A&P with him, it was much easier than I expetected it to be. If you are struggling in any way he is there for you and is super willing to help you with anything that you are finding difficult. He was always telling jokes and laughing at himself which made the class more enjoyable. He was my lab instructor before and was just as good!
Good professor, however gets sidetracked easily. It is definitely a class you need to study for, not easy nut not hard either. Better off to show up to class than not even though it is not mandatory, it helps make it easier. Tends to take questions from previous tests and makes new questions, since he makes new tests every semester.
A & P was by far one of the most interesting classes that I've taken. Professor Griffith knows how to make lectures fun and exciting, but he does get off track sometimes. If you don't understand something he is very willing to help you better understand it. Professor Griffith wants his students succeed. Would definitely recommend him to anyone.
I really enjoyed that Dr. Griffith was so passionate about this subject. You have clearly laid out notes, and he makes a point to tell you what to remember for tests and quizzes, which are pretty tough. Definitely would recommend him for this 5-credit class. Study what he tells you and you'll be fine.
Dr. Griffith is a great teacher who really cares about the his students and A&P, he wants you to really understand the material. During lecture he can sometimes get off track but he's not a hard teacher, just the class itself is hard. If you take good notes and study your notes especially things he points out specifically you should pass.
Dr. Griffith tends to ramble, but the class is very interesting, and he is very friendly and helpful. Do the study guides at the end of each chapter, study all of the diagrams, take advantage of any study time in the lab. He has review sessions before the practical. I attended every single one of them, he quizzed me on the cadavers, I got a 100%.
The professor himself is a great guy and he's there to explain anything you might not understand. He gets side tracked really easily. The class is a hard class in general, and he expects you to know the details. Tests are straight off of notes, but make sure you know every detail of the notes because questions can be very specific.
Full of energy, makes crazy examples for some material, which helps you remember better. Nice, Sociable guy, will help you understand if you have a problem. Has previous exams online which help a ton since there is no SLA for this class.
BEST PROFESSOR EVER! He is extremely nerdy however very understanding and helpful. This is the hardest class I have ever taken. He gives out no homework, there is a lab quiz every week and four exams total, then your final. Your final will replace you lowest exam score. Do the questions at the end of the chapters, those are your exam questions!
Dr. Griffith gets sidetracked real easily, so you don't go over too much in one lecture. Four tests and a final total, final replaces lowest test score. quiz every lab, usually around 20 points. The class has random lecture quizzes, and no homework. Just a ton of memorization. Questions at ends of chapter are your test questions. Great prof
Amazing!
Dr. Griffith is a great professor. Your test questions are at the end of the powerpoints. DO THEM! Does get sidetracked, but was fine because the tests had less material. He warns you of the quizzes. Lab quizzes are the hardest. The lab final is all anatomy and you have over a week to come to lab to know what you will be tested on. Great person!
He is a great professor but the class in general is difficult. You're not going to pass unless you spend a lot of time studying for the exams and quizzes.
Will talk your ear off, but is overall very nice. Has a tendency to talk about his terrible childhood and politics, which takes up a bunch of time, but means well. All of his lectures are online, which is nice if u hate going to class like me.
I love him as a person, He does a great job teaching the class, but the class itself is SUPER hard. lots of studying needed but if you can know your anatomy/body parts and go over the practice exams on blackboard you are golden!
Really enjoyed him, he's a funny and upbeat dude. He makes lecture and lab a little more enjoyable. Study using old tests (he should provide some) but if you can get old ones from friends look at those too. Try not to miss class. Also, I highly recommend going to his office hours as much as you can, it truly can make a difference in your grade!
there is a ton of information however if you go to his extra time for review once a week he tells you what to study. He is awesome, gets off track a lot but very smart and knows what he is talking about. he is awesome and very fair. he tells you what to know for lab quizzes and your grade reflects your effort
This class is hard and requires a lot of studying. However, Dr. Griffith makes the information manageable. He gives you old exams to help you study. He does tend to go off topic in lectures and get behind, but he cuts things out of the notes to make up for lost time.
Griffith's class isn't easy but he is a great professor that really cares and wants you to succeed. He offers a review session everyday after lecture for you to come and ask questions and get some one on one time with him (which I would totally recommend). He is VERY all over the place sometimes and he gets easily distracted which can be difficult
Definitely a hard class and you have to be willing to put in the work to get a good grade, but he is an excellent teacher and gives you past exams to study from with most questions being on the exam he gives you. Test every 3 weeks, lecture quiz every Thursday and Lab quiz each week.
Dr. Griffith is a character & always tells stories of personal experiences that relate to lecture & they don't disappoint! He's super knowledgeable & passionate about human anatomy & physiology. You do have to work hard & study for your grade, but it's not bad if you stay up to date with the material. He also posts old exams & they're very helpful!
Good Guys! Really want to help his students. But I think he should be familiar with the lab materials. When i ask his some problem he does not know the lab steps very well.
Caring teacher. I had Dr. Griffith for Entomology during the summer. The class had to collect 50 insects and pin them for lab. Our class did go out to find insects a few times during lab time. If you study what he tells you to study you should do well on the test. He also helped me find an internship for my last semester at ferris.
