he has a strong irish accent so it's difficult to understand him, he also has really bad handwriting. his class only consists of lecturing everything that is in the textbook, hes a hard grader but really nice and a good guy.
awesome teacher could not get enough of his class yes his writing is not the best and his accent is hard to understand but he was just a hell of a good teacher
He def was a hard grader, but sooo funny! He was very into pop-culture and an overall good guy. His accent made it hard to understand him and his hand writing wasn't much better. Awesome teacher tho, def looked forward to going to his class.
Hannigan... he is Irish-it doesn't get any better than that!!!! He is a great professor, makes class very interesting-he keeps you interested. I highly recommend you taking his class! Hannigan is Great!
Hannigan is great. The work load isn't insane, the tests are easy and its easy to remember what you learn. Lots of laughs!
Looooved this guy!! He was hilarious, very into pop-culture, and yes his accent got in the way sometimes but it was pretty funny -Billy Jo-el. Def take him if you have the chance!
wonderful teacher, got along great in class. He is hilarious with his humour just dont bring up U2. I learned more than I thoughjt I could taking his class. If you get a chance take one of his classes...
Awesome professor. He really helps his students understand the material. I recommend him for HS11 and HS12. I enjoyed him in HS11 so much that I wanted to have him for HS12. He really works with the students and helps them pass as long as they work in his class.
this professor is one of the best!!!!!!!!!! I don't know what people are talking about that they can't understand him cause thats nuts....he speaks very clear and writes just like everyone else in life...... literally he is a perfect guy and hot*** i love this man hes a wonderful teacher and really keeps my intrest in what we are talking about....
fun class, fyi dont buy the book
Entertaining class, very fair guy, always tries to make stuff relevant and gives a lot of help with tests. Tough paper grader though and a little obsessed with plagiarism!! Do not even try it.
In all honesty, who wants to take a class from 8-10pm. Well if the class is with Professor Hannigan, you will. He is an excellent teacher, who had only 5 weeks to cover a lot of history, and had no problem repeating info to make sure everyone got it. He is also quite adorable, and very funny!! If you take HS11 be sure to have Prof Hannigan!!!
Responding to the entry made regarding Prof Hannigan being obssessed with plagerism. He had every right to be infuriated with the student who plagerized their paper!! There is a school policy on plagerism. If you are asked to write a paper, then be sure to write it YOURSELF!! It is unfair to the rest of us who work hard for a fair, deserving grade.
Responding to your plagerism response. Don't you think you took the last rating personally? Relax and maybe you wont feel you work so damn hard. I am sure you would still do just fine.
LOVE LOVE LOVE HIM!! He was such a great teacher!! He is hysterical too, you would think he's a comedian for his 2nd job. His accent is sooo cool too, very funny. Tests are easy and he gives you a review sheet. A little tough grading the essays but he's still so great!! One of my favorite teachers along with Mattimore and Dante Morelli!!
CUTE! funny, teaches with passion. Heavy Irish accent, but who cares he is good.
This guy is the greatest thing since sliced bread!!! He's chill as sh*t, laid back, hilarious, & on top of all that u actually walk away @ the end of the semester having learned sumthin.. He doesnt expect much, there are two papers & four test which are extremely easy, bottom line take this guy if u can, u wont regret it!!!
Nice guy, hysterical. He tells you exactly what will be on the tests so all you have to do is look up the answers and study to get a decent grade. You get something out of the class... VERY HARD grader on the papers. I wouldn't take him again bc i worked hard, read the book, and still didnt do well on the paper, while others who didnt read got A's?
He's halarious. His Irish accent is amazing. You dont really need the textbook just take notes. He is a hard grader on papers but tests are pretty easy and fair. You do need to study for them though
Took him for both HS11 & 12. Loved him both times. He's smart, hilarious and knowledgeable. You really don't need the text and the tests are pretty easy. He's a very tough grader, but all he wants is someone to give him something different, not something plain and generic. He wants to be "blown away." Take him if you can, he's fantastic.
If you have the chance to take him and don't it's one of the biggest mistakes of your professor choosing career that you will ever make. He's hysterical and smart and makes a sometimes boring subject so entertaining it's unbelievable! My cheeks used to hurt after this class from laughing so hard! TAKE HIS CLASS! But don't be late or use your phone
proff hannigan is the man seriously one of the funniest teachers ive ever had. 3 tests 3 papers, Tests are WAY EASY IF U TAKE GOOD NOTES. Hes kind of a Tough grader on papers tho just but the tests even it out. The way he teaches incorporates so much humor and hes from irland so hes got the coolest accent.basicly hes the**** take him if you can.
Hannigan is a great guy; very understanding and histerically funny. However, he gives horrible notes. you must put in the extra time to study the text if you want to do well in his class. don't rely on his notes, make your own while you read the text. if you have questions after that he is great for clarification.
I'm currently taking his west civ II summer course...and all I have to say is, this man is truly adorable. He's so damn funny and grades fairly..I got an 80 onthe 1st test, then 88 on the 2nd..85 on the paper..and didnt even try! I would highly recommend him to anyone. but ladies ...you may develop a slight crush on him by the third class!:)
He is by far one of the funniest teachers I have ever had. His accent is amazing! If you want to go take a fun class then I definitely recommend this one. Tests are beyond easy and the two essays were not bad. Do yourself a favor and take his class if you have the opportunity.
BEST. HISTORY TEACHER. EVER!! He's brilliant and HILARIOUS!! TAKE HIM!
BEST HISTORY PROFESSOR. so funny, every single class i laugh hysterically, he has a weird sense of humor, a lot of stories from ireland. also, his accent is fantastic, extremely irish. his hand writing is the worst, but if you just ask him what it says he will gladly tell you. i bought the textbook, never even opened it.
If you want a stand up comic for a professor take him, if you want a good grade don't. He openly talks about how he hates grading papers and it shows. The first time I got a paper back I walked up to the front of the class where he glanced over my paper and scribbled a 79 on it right in front of me. If you don't mind mediocre grades then take him
His hilarity keeps you focused throughout the class. He's very helpful, but if you don't study then it's your fault you failed. There's a method to his madness and he just wants you to do well.
I did the winter session thing. Best professor in Suffolk because he openly talks about soccer with a crowd that knew NOTHING about soccer, grades fairly. No easy grades given but he's mad funny chill and is always telling good stories about his kids.
He has a VERY thick irish accent, the class is based on lectures and he tells you everything that will be on the test, you have to study to get a good grade, he talks alot even during test, he gets mad if u come late, i wouldnt take him again
Very funny guy, will definitely have you laughing. The entire class is note taking and the tests are directly from the notes. The only work is three tests and two papers.
Hannigan is a journalist, so he will grade your papers critically. my writing is fairly good but i missed the topic completely and i still got an 80... so i don't complain.
Took him for a summer course.. sooo easy.. 4 test and one paper, he is hilarious. All of his comments are pretty on point. I definitely recommend him, all you have to do is study but he tells you exactly whats on the test which is helpful but still study.
Sooo funny. Don't even bother buying the text just take good notes. Tests are based off the notes alone and he tells you exactly what's on the test. GREAT for and 8am because his humor and irish accent keep you engaged. Honestly the best, I definitely recommend him. Also make sure you apologize if you're late, pet peeve I guess.
The only thing that's good about this guy is that he's funny. Other than that, he's a TERRIBLE teacher. He's rude, unclear, has unreadable handwriting, makes very poorly constructed tests that are based completely on your notes, which are already unclear enough. He gives terrible notes. He talks and jokes with students during his tests. He's trash.
Had him for 2 semesters at Suffolk for HIS 101 and 102, (Fall 2014Spring 2015). He's pretty funny and knows how to keep you interested in the class. The class consists of 3 tests and 2 papers. He's a really nice guy and easy to talk to if you have any problems or need any help. Very knowledgeable too. I would definitely take him again.
He is funny but gives lots of notes and no homework. Tests are always based on notes. Don't get textbook never looked at it once.
By far my favorite professor. I took him for HIS 101 and freshman seminar. In seminar we discussed college life, no work. In western civ he gave a lot of notes, few test and one short paper. He really knows a lot about history and it shows with how into his lectures he gets. Gets off topic but it is always hilarious and enjoyable when he does!
His test are very long and have so many questions that are based on unreliable notes. Notes basicly give you what are topics on the test but they are very confusing and you can study hard and still fail his class. He has NO problem giving you an F. Asked for help and see what we can do and said there is nothing he could do would never take again.
Simple class: full lectures and note taking. 2 papers, they're a little difficult but manageable. There are also 3 tests and he gives review sheets for each - looking over these are crucial to passing the test. He's very funny and entertaining, I enjoyed that class and I hate history. I reccommend him definitely. **Takes attendance every class
I worked really hard but couldn't pull off an A. He's a tough grader on essays, which he has 2 of and 3 long tests. Two extra credit seminars which gave +8 pts each on the tests (go!). Really funny guy, and made learning about China & Japan like a story tale, very interesting class. He starts every class with attendance, so be on time!
Not a clear grader. He grades based on his own preference & will write you a comment that you did a good job but you will have points taken off with no explanation. If you miss a class you're in trouble. His notes are terrible & if you depend on notes you will be confused. He's not funny, in fact he's pretty rude & inappropriate. Not professional.
I'm a sucker for dark comedy and this professor nails it. He finds a way to make a class not boring. Aside fro, that the papers are easy and the tests are a breeze if you study of course. Overall a very decent professor.
Honestly the best professor I've ever had. Really got me interested in the course and made it funny as well. Second time I've taken him and both times he was awesome. You get what you work for. Fair grader
Professor Hannigan will make you laugh a lot, but his lectures are sometimes extremely hard to take notes on. He will even tell you this himself the first day of class. Come to class every day, he likes to belittle people for being late. His jokes sometimes are too offensive for a lot of people, so be prepared.
Prof Hannigan is great! He knows history and loves teaching it. He is sometimes a little hard to understand with his Irish accent, but one of the best professors I've had at SCCC. Highly recommended! No textbook needed at all, and tests are fairly easy. 3 tests and 2 papers.
Professor Hannigan can come off a little strict at first, but he is a very fun professor that will make you laugh every lecture. He is a bit of a tough grader on his assignments, but he does give out some extra credit opportunities throughout the semester. Don't be late to class and he hates when people eat during lectures. Would recommend.
Good professor. 3 test, 2 papers. Papers are very easy, but the topics are very random. The test I thought were hard, failed 2 of them badly. Many questions are hard to ready from poor photocopying, which annoyed me. Gave an easy7 point extra assignments for each test though. Very funny guy, gives good feedback, and enjoyed his class very much.
Proff Hannigan is a nice guy, but his notes are erratic and hard to follow, not helped with his awful handwriting, he's unnecessarily tough with his grading on is essays, very picky. He's nice but arrogant
Worst professor I've had. Doesn't give homework except for 2 main papers but his tests were very difficult and are worth way too much of final grade. Doesn't give any extra credit at all. For lecture all he talks about is Ireland, where he's from. Somehow pulled a B+ in his class and that's coming from someone who had a 4.0 until him.
Very sarcastic and rude. For lecture, he just scribles on the board, no notes. Barely legible. Mainly talks about how bad the USA is compared to Ireland. 3 exams and 2 essays. Not helpful at all.
had him for 102 and 101. Funniest professor at Suffolk. Loves history and you can see he enjoys teaching. His tests are sneaky tough though.
FUNNY IRISH MAN!!! strong opinions but very funny, I hate history but he made it interesting to learn!! MC tests as long as you study the guide and take notes in class youll be fine. HIGHLY RECOMMEND, strong accent and bad handwriting but you get used to it.
Most hilarious Irish man I've ever met. Great professor, although his class is lecture heavy I never got tired of it. He is a tough grader but as long as you study you should be fine.
Honestly, anyone who put a bad review for this teacher is nuts. Ive never had a greater experience with any previous professor for history. Yes, he even admits his handwriting isnt always legible, but never minds or gets offended at all if you ask him to spell out what he wrote. We take good notes and we always get a review. Highly recommended!
I thought a 3 hour class would drag forever but he makes it go so fast! He's hilarious and passionate about history. He kind of teaches it like a story which I loved. I would definitely like to take one of his classes again.
Absolutely the best professor Ive ever had. He takes time to learn each and every one of his students names. His handwriting is god awful , but he does not get offended if you ask him to clarify what he wrote on the board. He made me want to get up and go to get up and go to school everyday for my 8am. Hands down the best professor Ive ever had
His humor is top-notch, but to me, it was very distracting from learning. The things I remember from class are the ways he says certain names, his stories and his remarks/opinions. It is easy to study for this class, if you record his lectures and READ THE BOOK. But it's not easy if you don't study. Hardly anyone talks b/c of him mocking them.
By far one of the best Professors I've ever had. Didn't take much of an interest in history until I took his classes. Makes everything much more interesting and his witty sense of humor helps with remembering things without even realizing. 3 tests, 2 papers, and no homework which I liked a lot. Most teachers forget you're taking other classes.
Professor Hannigan is the funniest teacher I've had. The accent definitely helps, but the man is genuinely funny. The only problems to note would be, one, his notes are absolutely atrocious. I love the guy, but his lecture notes make almost no sense, also, you don't need to buy the textbook to get an A. Fun lectures. Overall an awesome class!
I had him for HIS102, take notes down that he writes on the board and study EXACTLY whats on the study guide and you should have no problem getting at least a B+
Only two short essays required, textbook readings recommended but you can easily pass w/o it. Attendance is important. His sense of humor is very deadpan & satirical, not for everyone but I personally enjoyed it. Beneath it all he is an EXTREMELY kind and very caring man. Participation during class is not required.
Hannigan is the best professor Ive ever had by far. His lectures are full of extra information and hilarious jokes. If you pay attention youll get an easy A in his class. Its easy to pay attention thanks to how funny he is as well.
One of the best history classes I have ever taken. I understood his lectures and the tests were based off the study guide, which he goes over before class. If you have to take these classes, take him. He will help you. There are usually 2 papers, but they are easy. Write them and don't think so much and you will pass. So funny and knows a lot
He is the best! I took him for Western Civilization and he managed to make it fun and interesting! He gives out two papers and small quizzes then one final. Very easy!
Took his far eastern world class. 3 tests 50 multiple choice, theyre very easy. 2 papers which arent too bad. But man this guy is HILARIOUS. He will make you laugh every class and if you study and take notes during the lectures you will do very well in the class. Highly recommend.
Im half way through my summer class with Professor Hannigan and hes awesome! Nobody wants to be in class during the summer, but he makes it fun. He goes off topic a lot about his life, but its funny. His Irish accent makes it better too. He just knows how to make class enjoyable. Just take notes and you will do fine. Hes awesome.
I had him for both HIS 101 and 102 he is the best! 3 tests and 2 essays. He goes over what would be on the test a week prior and gives you a review sheet. His papers are so easy. He is so funny. Has an Irish accent and can understand him easily. If you have any questions he will answer and if you need an extra day on the paper he will understand.
has obvious bias in his lectures, if you get offended easily dont take his class. hes funny but i would say 50/50 i would take him again, you have to buy a textbook but its not used
I would definitely take this class again
love him, wish i could take more classes with him, work is straight forward and easy
Took Hannigan twice at one time during my fall semester, he helped me out during finals so I wasnt overwhelmed with both classes. A lot of extra credit points (7 on tests). Use textbook to help you study, overall most funniest professor I ever had! Hand writing horrible and replies to messages!
He's the man! Funniest professor I have had yet and made lecture so much fun. Notes are straightforward & the textbook is mainly used for the review sheets given before every exam, definitely worth renting/buying. Can't wait to take two more classes with him in the spring.
Such a nice professor. He explains everything really clear + he is funny. I love him, do yourself a favor and take him. 2 papers and 4 exams .He also gives extra credit
Im so upset i only got to take him once, so funny, hands down favorite proffesor.
Hannigan is the GOAT.
Really great prof, funny as hell, caring, good non boring lectures, and his accent is amazing ! I wish I could take him again
Hilarious, made an 8 am class burst into laughter every class, uses interesting analogies to try and relate history to current times. Not a dry class, even for those who might not like history. 2 essays, 3 exams, and gives clear review sheets and instructions. Would definitely recommend
great professor and person. he does not use black board so you need to show up to class and take good notes in order to do well on his exam's. he is very funny and entertaining
This teacher is amazing, funny, bright ... it was such a pleasure to follow his class during the summer. Not easy to get a A but if you study, pay attention and take notes you will get a B or B+. 1 paper, 3 tests. Amazing lectures !! I definitely recommend him.
Amazing professor, his class is all lecture style but as long as you show up you should pass the class easily. No need to buy the textbook as long as you study the review sheets. 10/10 would take again!!
great teacher and very fair tests. he's really funny and chill
He made an 8am class worth coming to! You will burst into laughter all class long with his irish accent and interesting analogies. He loves participation, but doesnt care if your wrong. He wants you to do well within his class. 2 easy papers, 3 tests - very clear review sheets and will answer emails right away. Would highly recommend Hannigan!!
Really enjoyed taking Hannigan's class! His lectures are both very informative and funny. He explains everything as if he's telling a story. Heads up, he is the WORST grader, gave us a 600 page book to read and then made us write an 800 word essay!!!! And then took points off for not enough detail! His tests are all multiple choice btw.
Absolutely love prof. Hannigan!! Never was interested in history in my life but his lectures are funny and interesting. Took him for 3 different courses and would recommend him to everybody. Review sheets are super specific and he goes over them, other than that just dont be on your phone. Easy A! (Even his honors class)
hannigan, ever since ive known him, has always been the damn GOAT! fall 2017 i had him. AMAZING PROFESSOR. funny, witty, really shows his passion to teach. one of the only profs i know that write on the board lol! thanks for all the laughs dave!
Hannigan is a great professor. You need to pay attention in class/take notes, but he makes them funny/interesting. 2 papers and 3 exams -- final is not cumulative. Gives out review sheets. Papers are worth a bit, so make sure you cite your sources properly! He's not a tech savvy person but he did an amazing job at transitioning to online learning.
Professor Hannigan is the best. His writing sucks but he even makes fun of it. Great personality. He show a few video that goes along with the topic he is teaching. 2 test review sheet seem long but its not he just breaks everything down. 2 writing assignment. Covid19 cut our class short. Take him you won't regret it. He is one of the good ones.
Professor Hannigan is one of my favorite Professors! I took him for HIS 101, and knew I had to take him again for HIS 102. Due to COVID-19, I took HIS 102 online with him over the summer. He is awesome and hilarious! Also an understanding man. Plus I love his Irish accent!
Hes a great professor. I dont like history but listening to him somehow made it interesting. Since this class is online he has audio lectures and there is no homework. You have to do 2 papers and theres only 3 exams. Just listen to him, take notes and you will pass. He gives extra credit since we are online, he is understanding.
I took his class for HIS101 and 102. And 101 was right between that 1st lockdown. He wasnt a online professor type guy, but he did his best to make the class good and cared a lot about helping us out throughout the semester. Same with 102. Take him! Hes a great guy, his lectures are interesting and hes hilarious!
Professor Hannigan was by far the best professor Ive ever taken! Hes so caring and is clear on what needs to be done. A very easy class as long as you listen to his lectures and take notes!! An easy a
I absolutely loved his lectures. Took his class online because of COVID but his love of history and energy was evident through the taped presentations.
Very good for honors western civ online. His test were open notes and if you payed attention to his audio lectures you will pass very easily.
professor Hannigan is a great professor. he's very nice and understanding. I was late with a few assignments and he still let me hand them in and even gave me the full credit and didn't take points off for lateness. there are 2 papers that you have to do and 3 exams. he has weekly discussion boards as well. overall I highly recommend him.
He was a nice and funny guy, cool extra credit work, but it's crazy to be graded by a few things. I got 85-95s on the writing, the test 80 on average and got a B,100s on all the discussion boards. He was never clear and his prompts weren't good IMO. Also his prompts were too political. Some were just plain odd. Hate giving a low score but be prep!
Hannigan is the ideal professor you want. He is funny, makes class enjoyable, and cares about his students. I had him for online class, and he was very understanding. He gave me extra time on one exam, and then again on the final (after I completely forgot to take it before it close out). He also gives you a chance to redo papers. TAKE HIS CLASS.
Great and easy online class! The audio lectures are sometimes long but definitely necessary to listen to. If take good notes, the tests are easy. Two papers, weekly discussions (very simple) and three exams. He is a very caring and clear professor!
The class would have worked so much better in person in my opinion. The class was easy, used audio lectures, movie clips and you only write 2 papers and take 3 tests. Other than that, its discussion board posts. He seemed like a nice guy who was passionate about his job.
Professor Hannigan is amazing. His lectures are fantastic, he is a great story teller and has a wicked sense of humor. He also cares about the world and it shows. I'm not particularly fond of history and had to put my best foot forward to learn this stuff, but I thoroughly enjoyed his class.
Im so glad I got to take one of his classes before I left suffolk. He really is a great professor. His lectures were interesting, funny, and enjoyable to listen to. I wish I couldve taken him again. Really easy discussions, tests and papers; if you take good notes, youll do fine!
Very simple class. 3 tests, 5-6 discussions (1 is extra credit), one 3-4 pg paper. He uses audio lectures to teach and all you have to do is listen and take notes; i printed my slide shows since all exams were open book so it was easier to review and look back. I had the textbook but barely used it and focused more on what he would tell us instead.
Professor Hannigan is really entertaining and nice. I didn't really enjoy his class not because of him but because of the material we went over was very boring but he tried his best to brighten it up. His weekly discussions don't entirely correlate with what we are learning but it is pretty easy.
I loved Hannigan, he has a great sense of humor which made lectures so much more bearable. It's a lot of notetaking but as long as you're organized and pay attention you will pass. His tests are pretty easy and he only assigns two papers during the course which are similar to a DBQ. So glad I took this course with him!!
Loved taking his class! I usually enjoy history to some extent but I honestly couldn't wait to go to class because he made it so much more entertaining. 10/10
This professor really shines in the regurgitation of his own tired ideas that are barely relevant to his class.
Not worth your time if you want to learn anything.
Get ready to write notes! He is very old-fashioned and likes to handwrite his notes on the board. 3 tests and 1 reaction paper throughout the semester. He also doesn't like seeing your phone out in class. He's a super funny guy! Just make sure you pay attention and write down notes.
Prof. Hannigan jokes that he is tough and unqualified but he is actually extremely caring and very good at what he does. His lectures are so funny, his tests are fair, and he allowed for some extra credit. My only complaint was the lack of grades (4 total), which really doesn't allow for much room for error. But I'd 100% do another class with him.
Hannigan is a super cool dude. Material wasnt my fav but he's a funny guy and made class enjoyable, despite it being at 8am on a Monday. Was graded on 3 tests & 1 paper, struggled a bit with the material for paper but still got an A on it. He'll (jokingly) try to convince you to drop the class but def do not! 10/10 would recommend & take again.
David is a very amazing teacher but be prepared to do a lot of book reading. The weekly tests are gonna be difficult if you don't read the chapter. The discussions have to be 150 words and I would do just a bit over that and he always gave me a 100. He grades very well and super fair! Only one essay the entire semester. its doable!
Probably the funniest professor I've had at Suffolk. He gives out the paper in the beginning of the semester to get it over with and he's very lenient grader. 3 non-cumulative exams that were also pretty good. He makes it super easy to take notes which is good because you will be taking a lot of them. Overall highly recommend Prof. Hannigan!
Be consistent and participate on all discussions. for the final discussion he gave us the points without having to post.
Pretty easy class. He doesn't have slides and doesn't post anything online, but everything you'll need is on the board. Just show up and take notes. He's really funny, so he'll keep you engaged. Gives 50-question multiple choice exams that are all really simple. Offers extra credit worth about 7 points on your last exam. Highly recommend.
Their is a lot of reading each week. 2 (15 question) exams every week worth most of your grade based on 2 separate chapters. Discussions must be 200 words and a quote from textbook you are required to purchase. Very doable if you read the chapter thoroughly, and understand what you are reading. All and All good professor.
Easiest class ever. Assigns a weekly quiz (75%) and 200 word discussion post(25%) based on a chapter of the textbook and current events. stay on top work, gets easy to fall behind. highly recommend.
Professor Hannigan is very thorough in his teaching. Be prepared to write lots of notes and be graded on a few key assignments. It's really helpful that he puts the topics you'll need to know for the test. He is also very funny but if you get offended easily... maybe you won't find him funny. Overall, a great professor.
Prof. Hannigan's eclectic nature made it easy to pay attention, which is good because as long as you are there and taking notes on every lecture you will pass the class. Three tests (gave study guides) and two papers (one was on a book, I only fully read half and still got an A), easy opportunities for extra credit as well. Very nice, very funny.
Professor Hannigan is a great lecturer who makes the material engaging. The weekly tests are challenging, but manageable if you stay on top of the readings. I found Unstuck ai helpful for study prep - it made reviewing the textbook chapters a breeze. Overall, a worthwhile course.
I loved this professor, He is hilarious and genuinely cares about his students. He jokes for you to drop his class because of his hand writing but don't. I passed alongside my class with ease as he is very engaging with his students. The professor is honestly the best and funniest I've had! Exams are difficult if you don't study and essays are easy
Prof is so funny and makes class enjoyable. No assignments or homework grades, just multiple choice exams. You NEED to study as there is only lectures, no powerpoints or slides and a LOT of content is covered each day. Pages and pages of notes a day. Not many chances to improve your grade if you're struggling though.
My favorite teacher this semester by far. His lectures are genuinely entertaining and he's able to balance leisure and learning, which is something not every professor is capable of doing. Try not to miss his class often because he covers heavy amounts of material a day and there are no slides on brightspace. 3 multiple choice tests and one paper
This professor is honestly an easy-going grader, I took him for my summer ONL class and the assignments each week definitely require lots of reading and a good amount of effort, easy to pass if u pay attention Beware he is extremely tough when it comes to AI, mid-summer session he made us use security extension browsers to ensure we do not cheat.
He's a good professor and means well. Don't try using AI as he is on top of it and really strict when it comes to artificial intelligence. Lots and lots of reading so you have to read the textbook for the quizzes. The notes he gives on a PowerPoint will not be enough for the exams. But the class is completely doable.
As long as you pay attention in lecture, I doubt you'll ever have to open your textbook. Amazing lectures! He puts things in a hilariously good perspective. I'd be sad if I ever missed a class and would crawl out of bed for this. 10/10
I would 100% take his class again, he is so funny and I find history to be very boring. However he always tells personal stories that make me laugh and is overall a nice guy. It is very important you study all of your notes, the tests feel kinda hard but if you study it won't be a problem. There are only 2 papers and 3 exams.
Although I had him for an 8am, I genuinely looked forward to coming to class. He makes the lectures interesting and memorable. Nothing is online, make sure to attend class because all you do if take notes as he writes on the black board. There are study guides for exams and the exams are super easy. There are 2 essays and one is on a book. Read it
He is amazing when it comes to teaching, just take him blindly, you'll not regret it!
Very funny professor, makes history class actually enjoyable. Very nice guy too. Just make sure you take your notes otherwise you're cooked. His tests are only hard if you don't pay attention like me and he gives a lot of free points and extra credit for each exam.
