The easiest professor I ever had. If you ever had a question, he answers you right away. If you have a question about a paper, he will tell you what to put on and what not to. Just obey he paper and writing rules and you will pass. Out of 15 grades. I only had one non-"A". A quiz grade. Excellent.

Not a class I would recommend for people who like to slack off. You need to think in this class. If you turn in all of the work on time he will love you, and he'll be more "grade-friendly" this is not a class for beginning writers, you need some writing skill. he will work with you.

This professor should not be taken if your a slacker. He gives a lot of work, but he's a real funny guy who's willing to help if you need it.

hes very strict, if you like wirtting take him. you write a lot!! i took him over a summer term. NEVER take him we did two huge papers within 2 weeks. hes a good teacher not very nice though.

prepare to write about 5 papers, each one harder than the last. hes not always clear on what he wants but does let you rewrite papers (grade will be a combination of the two). does not pick favorites. does make you read about 2-3 stories per week and does give pop quizzes on them. would not take again or recommend.

He is so thorough and fair, but i wouldn't recommend him for a summer course because there is no gap between papers, it is one right after the next. He really teaches you how to write an effective paper, though. I really liked him.

If u want writing credit n actually like writing, then take this class. U write 6 one pg summaries on 6 stories you've read n discussed in class, plus, 4 the writing option, u write a 5 page literary interpretation paper instead of one 10 pg one. Grades based on understanidng of themes. Tests include T/F, Multchc, quote ID.

I loved this teacher,he made me really thrive in my writing without judging to harsh,I took another teacher for 1102,I was very disappointed so i took him for 2210 and did very well. Would recommend him to anyone.

He was kinda strange at first (cuz it was my first term in BCC) but as time went by, he actually knew what he was doing and taught how to write term papers well. Better than some other teachers.

He is a great teacher...I took him got ENC2210 and I thought he was great. If you are a business major, definately take him! He teaches things you're actually going to use in like how to great a great resume, cover letter, memos, etc...I loved his class! He can get a little boring sometimes but overall is a great teacher! This guy is the one of the best teachers at BCC. His tests are directly off his notes. Most of the tests are TRUE/FALSE. You do have to write a lot. But it is still easier than 1102. He really knows his stuff!!!

This is an easy "A". This guy will help you every step of the way. If you do your reading assignments, turn in your writing on time, and follow his easy to understand recommendations, you will walk away with a good grade in this class. Expect surprize quizzes on the assigned readings.

Ok its hard to explain him, lots of writting and somehow complicated class. Although I got an A it wasent easy his big projects are xtremlly complex a lot of reading a lot of reasearching, one thing I have to say about him is that you are going to learn A LOT in this class and he also teaches you about your career in particular.

This is one of the easiest classes I have ever taken. Easy A+. Just read your short-stories, take your 5 question quiz weekly, take good notes, read them just before the mid term and final, turn-in writing assignments and pass with an A. How hard is that? And He is super-harmless. Take Adams at FAU and you will kiss this guy's feet.

He has a strong passion for teaching, you learn a lot, you work a lot and slackers need not apply.

This is a great teacher, when i came in I didn't know anything about MLA format or plagiarism and he helped so much. Discussions are very interesting and actually help for the essays. Essays can be long but with all the help he gives you everyone should be ok

He helped me improve my writing so much! I took him for Film as Literature (fun class!) last semester and had to sign up for his next class. He assigns three major papers. Everything else is short quizzes on short stories. His criticism is very constructive. He's always willing to help. Very down to earth and young guy!

I took both this guy's ENC1101 & ENC1102 class and I thought he was great. He took the time to talk to each student one to one to make sure they knew what they were doing. His assignments are kinda hard, but if you do what he tells you, you'll get a good grade. I learned A LOT in his classes and I know its helped make me a better college student.

Need to keep up with your postings and quizzes. If you are diligent with the reading and postings, you could possibly do quite well, however, it's an online class and it's not as easy to have discussion on literature as if you were attending in person. This guy looks like he's fresh out of high school. Class is extremely tough.....take this one by itself. There is no time for any other classes!! He is very on top of things and makes you feel like you have a learning disorder in reading.

Great Professor, actually teaches something to the class at a college level, unlike other English or literary teachers. He delves deep into the subject and will thoroughly explain it. He is not tough as some may say but actually expects you to try to write a clear and conscious paper. He is very fair and will guide you in writing.

Extremely helpful. only write 2 papers in this class.. no final exam... and you get individual help before each paper..so it gives you a chane to fix any errors you have or a chance to get a better grade on your final paper.

You need to keep up with postings for the online class, do the quizzes on time and must keep up with all of the readings. The (online) class is brutal but tenacity will pay off if you put in diligent effort. If you're not reading skills are low, don't take the course, but otherwise, prepare for decent note taking & prepare for the 2 exams & essays.

If you have a general understanding for what is expected of a college level paper, and put the time in to develope well written papers and don't bs them you will do fine. read the book he does quizes all the time that you wont pass if you dont read, but if you do most ikely you should get a 100 if you have a brain. he is very nice and WILL help you

This teacher is really sweet. I would say that he is hard for an ENC1101 class. I got an A but it wasn't easy and the book he requires is dull and I feel like its just a bunch of BS written on paper. I took his online class. The class is pretty straight forward for the most part. You will have 2-3 readings per week, and you will have short quizzes on each of them, and you will have to contribute to discussion questions on them. Your one major assignment is a research paper. He grades this paper seriously,do a good job on it.

He was awesome. He clearly states what he expects from you nnd it is possible to do so. He provides a short lecture over all the reading materials via video. There is one big paper project the rest is just quizes. I highly recomend Professor Hennessy

I took LIT2020 fully online. It's not an "easy A" type class. Seriously dont take this class fully online unless reading & writing are your thing and you're self disciplined. I rocked this class with a solid A and I learned so much. The prof. actively participates in online discussions, grades promptly & fairly, and answers questions.

I took him online for 1101. If you can't write essays, then this class isn't for you. Out of four essays, only one requires a works cited. He lets you redo one paper and averages the two grades, you can send in drafts for him to read over. He responds very fast to emails and reads the discussion boards.

What an amazing class to take online! His feed back is clear. The material is concentrated but easy to fallow. It all makes sense if you read the instructions and fallow step by step. My writing after I took this class is at another level. I wish this had been the first class I took in college. It would have made my life easier with other classes.

I took him for both 1101 and 1102. 1101 Online. Very attentive and quick with email/responses but was kinda hard. 1102 was in-class and easier, but more reading was involved. He's good both with fully-online classes and in class. I'd take him again but as a Science major, I don't need anything he's offering and also I hate to read.

I read the other reviews and people are saying he is a hard grader, but honestly I don't think he is. I wrote my first paper and I got a 100, so I think it depends on how hard you try. I'm taking online and he is always clear with instruction and gets back quickly when I have questions. I love him and he made my online experience a good one.

He is a great professor! The due dates for all assignments are given at the beginning of the course, and discussions are not mandatory! If you do the assignments, you'll get the grade you deserve. This professor is responsive. I would not suggest taking this teacher though. Although he is clear in what he wants the class is not structured. Due dates a re hectic and tests are hard and so is the reading material. He has to be really impressed to give out B's or higher.

This was a very difficult class for me to take because of the lack of interest in the subject but I thought it was my only choice that would work for my degree. Luckily I was able to get an A. This was an online class but had the option of taking advantage of getting extra credit by showing up numerous times as a blended in person class.

Online AML2010. His class was a decent amount of work. You can get by skimming all the stories or using sparknotes. Hes pretty helpful and very engaged.

He's a GREAT TEACHER. There are 3-4 papers you have to write based off a set theme and analysis of a short story he selects. You don't need the book. You DO have to come to class and his paper critique meetings. Do all the work you should get an A+. His class is interesting also. ALL in all, great teacher.

The class was very straightforward. Students were required to complete 17 quizzes over the course (most were 5 questions), 3 discussions per module, a midterm and final that were multiple choice and true or false, 2 books, and a five page paper. There was also an extra credit quiz that added like 3% to my grade.

Theres a lot of reading but nothing is too difficult to understand. A lot of discussions and quizzes but all of them are easy as long as you complete the readings. He is really quick to respond and is very understanding.

Work is all online. Multiple quizzes, midterm, final, & 1 research paper. He provides the short stories but you have to acquire the 2 novels yourself. Easy A If you put in the effort. Quizzes have relatively simple questions, but you do need to read the stories/have a basic understanding. Gave slight extra credit + entertaining lectures.

He offers two extra credit assignments in quiz form. The lectures for the most part include a video version of the information. He will email you back faster than youd expect and is genuinely interested in your success. If the content feels overwhelming, break the reading up over a certain number of days, use an audiobook, and annotate.

Best English professor you will ever have! He really cares about his students, and wants everyone to pass. He is really funny, gives good lectures, and is a down to earth guy. All that's graded in his class are 3 papers, mini quizes, attendance, and discussion posts which are very easy. I took him for ENC1101 and 1102, and got A's both semesters.

Great English teacher at Broward College. You only have to write three papers in the entire semester, and he gives you good one on one feedback during the rough draft portion so you can finalize your paper the best way possible. Highly recommend this teacher, he's really nice and respectable.

had a 4.0 gpa, but i got a B, which is causing me to graduate with 3.96 ! this is the only class i got a B in lol. im a straight A student & had an 88.9% in this class. I begged him can I do extra credit or anything to bring up my grade but he said NO. i was so devastated i cried. grades papers tough! beware of no rounding. ill never forget him

Lit2020 with Professor Hennessy was very straightforward. The class is very easy AS LONG as you make sure to read the short stories and stay on schedule. Each short story has quizzes that consist of 5 questions, if you read the quiz it should be a breeze. The class consists of 2 sets of critical summaries and a paper. Professor was very helpful!

He is a great professor. He really tries to give you a lot of feedback and help to apply them to the 3 papers that you do throughout the course. He also assigns readings with quizzes that are no more than 10 questions long, as long as you read the assignments you should get an easy A.

Overall I think he was alright. I took it as an online class 6 weeks so it can be hectic with the readings. Some of the quizzes had tough questions but were manageable. Lots of extra credit and theres a Literary Interpretation Paper which is extremely important so just follow his guidelines and youll be fine. Replies fast to emails as well.

TAKE THIS CLASS! I am a dual enrollment senior in high school. I totally messed up, didn't do my work, and was failing his class with a 46%. I reached out to him and he was kind in helping me bring my grade up. He offered wonderful feedback and helped me pass with a C. I wish I had put in the effort because an A would have been SO easy. Professor Hennessy is a really good instructor. I actually enjoyed the class, he made me like English class for the first time. He is a bit fast paced, so if you procrastinate a lot the I wouldn't recommend taking him. Other than that, he loves to help and gives great feedback to help make you write your papers better.

The class was not super easy but also not super hard. I did his one one term short class online and the workload was a lot sometimes mainly because of the reading. I would say every week you could find yourself easily reading 100 pages or more sometimes. He grades fairly and the class outline is simple and clear.

He is a good professor just I personally, was unable to connect with the way he taught. He goes on small tangents that although relevant to the lesson, seem somewhat meaningless and lack purpose. I took Professor Hennessy for ENC1101 and honestly, once you read the lessons, you'll do well on the writing. Give yourself enough time to do the papers and honestly the papers are enjoyable. He lets you analyze any texts/movies/whatever topics of your own choice. Attendance is graded btw.

I took Professor Hennessy for ENC1101 and again for ENC1102, and he's my favorite professor so far at Broward College. The readings are on a wide range of topics and the assignments are enjoyable (I watch a movie to analyze each time). Always available for feedback, to answer questions and to help via email.

Professor Hennessy was great just be prepared to read , he is very fair and I would definitely take another class with him again .

This class is an easy A as long as you put in effort and do all the work. There's usually a discussion due every week, along with a summary of four works read, a novel quiz, and an essay. The essay makes up 30% of the final grade, but as long as you follow the feedback for the essay assignments, you can pass this class easily.

Overall his class was very easy but I honestly see why some of the reviews said that he's on a power trip while grading papers because he deducts points for literally anything. Luckily I had a teacher that was like him my senior year so dealing with him was nothing I wasn't used to

Hennessy's class is quite manageable with attentive reading and writing practice. Leverage study tools like unstuck AI to prepare - the quizzes aren't too bad, but the essays require diligence. Definitely worth taking if you're willing to put in the work.

One of the best online professors I've had. Assigned amazing English works that expanded my scope of literature. Every poem, book, play and short story that was assigned felt like it was assigned with a purpose. Great class to take if you love literature. Mr. Hennessy was also great at communicating and was an extremely fair grader!

I LOVED professor Hennessy. He had very interesting lectures and you could tell he likes his job. Attendance is super important and there is a lot of reading, but as long as you do the work you will pass. He offers extra credit too. Overall, very nice guy and amazing prof. I learned a lot from him. Take him if you want to make your life easier.

Very good professor, everything is clearly outlined and he emphasizes ALOT about NO USE OF AI!!!
