He is a good professor as the others say; however, I feel his tests throw you some curveballs, and they are a little unfair. Plan to study everything in the chapters, as he does not go over everything in class. About 30% of his tests come from the reading and not lectures.

Dr. Hossain wants the best in all of his students. He demands only for you to try your best. His tests are not easy but it's practical and to the point. He doesn't like to trick you and his more then fare when he grades you. His focus usually is what is on the CPA exams. He expects you to be awake during his lectures and will make sure of that:)

Dr. Hossain is one of two best professors I have had for accounting major class. He is not only fair on grade system, but also dedicate in his teaching. Actually, his class is not hard. If you believe you are able to get "A" for accounting class, he will gurantee you to get "A" for both grade and knowlege.

If you are an accounting major, taking this professor is a must. The class is fast paced, but if you read the assigned readings beforehand, the class will run a lot more smoothly. Professor Hossain tries to teach you the fundamentals by giving you the most exposure to solving problems, and not by boring you with lecture.

Again for 320B. Great educator. Almost everyone got A's & B's even if they got lower. Homework directly reflects the quizzes and tests. Final (supposed to be cumulative) confined to certain chapters and topics, plus cheatsheet, plus study guide...can't go wrong unless you don't do the work.

Financial acct is not easy and the book we used was terrible. He made it more clear with powerpoint presentation and reviewed alot in the class. His teaching is targeted in having us pass the CPA exam. Highly recommended teacher.

Best Acct Professor ever. Homework load is fair, really need to set time aside to do it. Homework are done in groups and only collects one homework per group. Know how to do the homework and all problems shown in class, and you'll be ready for midterms. Just remember to go over every single problem assigned for homework.

Arrive to class early, there is too much material to cover that class starts 10 min early and ends on the dot. Very respectful and helpful teacher. Take advantage of the Sat help sessions. He is not easy though, challenges the students in a good way. You have to be on top of your reading before attending class. Tests are very fair, no tricks.

This is a very challenging class. Read ahead, ask questions if you don't understand, and take notes. Study hard for both test, and be ready for presentations. Dr. Hossain is a great teacher. He is one of the only professors at CSULA that truly cares about teaching students. This class is definitely not easy, but it's also not too difficult. Dr. Hossain comes prepared and expects the same from students. It feels good having a professor that actually challenges you and doesn't just give away grades.

Amazing instructor! Lectures are very informative and inspirational. I did know not that I am a millennial and he explained why? Semester just started and I am already into this course. Lots of online and manual HW and research.

Though it is a tough class, Dr. Hossain explains the lecture clearly and really help the students to fully understand the topic. The practices and quizzes in class also help us to get more preparation on the exams.

I've taken two courses with Dr. Hossain, intermediate and advanced accounting, and received an A for both. His classes require a lot of participation, in-class group work, and homework, but it is worth it because you understand the material and are prepared for the exams. ACCT2100: he is very clear on expectation. He gives a quick lecture on the chapter being covered, enough to understand & do the group assignments at the end of each class. However, if you are still struggling, I recommend reading/ reviewing the chapter before/ after class. Occasionally gives pop quizzes based on the chapter Wiley plus hw.

Great professor! He had us do group work every single class, but before that he explained how to do everything. He explains everything very well! There was a small quiz in the beginning of every class. Not a lot of homework, but a lot of reading. He lets you use a page of notes during the midterm exams. There is one make up exam, and extra credit.

Took this class for Accounting 2100, and he was a great Professor. He seems scary when he lectures but the pressure he puts on his students is a good push for everyone to do the work. There group-work and small quizzes at the beginning of every class. As long as you do the work and read the textbook you'll be fine!
