I had some preconceptions about this class and it was definitely a lot of work, but not as bad as some of the people here make it out to be. Dr. Kaye assigns a lot of material and you need to have good time management skills to finish everything in detail. Besides that, upon entering class he lectures with understanding and repetition so the material is constantly drilled into your head with full understanding. He appreciates active participation and hard work. Take him.

Dr. Kaye is proficient in the western canon of metaphysics and can recite many philosophers verbatim. Class review is so thorough, students can practically do the same by the end of the semester.
