I was an A student until I took him.The test questions didn't even relate to what we studied for.He can't stay focus in class.So don't think you'll learn anythign. He's rude and think's he's smarter then everyone else.He's a smart guy,not a smart prof.

The first day of class he took a cell phone call from his "Realtor" while standing in the front of his class, then wanted to know who had a problem with that. He has been brought up on charges before for his hateful behavior. The other professors in the school don't like him either.
This teacher SUCKS!!! He's very rude, hateful, hostile and disrespectful. He takes pride in humilating his students and trying to intimidating everyone. He makes it impossible to learn in his class. NEVER attempt to answer a question because it's not the answer he's looking for. He will humilate U!

This professor is challenging but a hard professor. He goes with the flow. Yes he does embarass you. You will have to study your butt off in this class because he doesn't give notes!! So be prepared. Whoever is going to take BI-520, he is the only teaching this class. Good luck!!

this prof. sucks badly. he reads straight from the book, which means he doesnt give notes at all. he doesnt like students who are late but when he is u cant say anything and when he is late it is usally when we have a test to take. the class is surpose to be 50min because he is late we have only 35-40min left of class.dont take him unless u have to

pror. klarberg expects a lot from his student. only the dedicated will survive. You do learn in his class and you retain what you learn. it was a challenge but i enjoyed the class and hes not so bad onece u get to know him. give him a chance. For all you pre med student if u pass his class you will do great in the future
he is NOT easy, he is all over the place w/notes & discussions have to study text, class notes are bad,test have too many questions, & he marks them wrong You have to watch out but he will correct if you show him. Very unclear & not helpful cocky, he would not be a first choice. He is tendered so he can never be fired! He needs to retire already.
prof. klarberg is a excellent teacher. he expects a lot from students, but he makes you think. i think he is very nice and respectful. i don't know who wrote some of the other comments, but they are trying to get him. mabe they didn't do well in the class and got bad grades.

He is a great teacher exams are fair just study. He will teach you alot about life. The lad you will have to write two papers but it is easy. He curves all the exams. I believe that all my whole class got A's and B's. TAKE HIM

Stay away from this professor, he is not good, his jokes aren't funny, his test weren't relevant, and he made fun of the students, if you want to spend a reall horrible time, take his class
Avoid this professor like the plague. He is demoralizing, insulting, and should not be allowed anywhere near a classroom. He humiliates students when they ask questions, and sees his mission as to eliminate as many students as possible from the course. I study 5-6 hrs. a day, and this prof. refuses to facilitate my learning.
I had this prof for lab, and was the most unhelpful teacher i could have had. he sped through everything, never helped and put u down all the time. to get a good grade you pretty much have to do it on your own, dont expect this guy to help. from taking this class you can tell that he hates teaching.

It's a tough class, but that's the subject matter. the prof did a good job of covering the material. he would try to explain it better if you asked. I liked the class. Prof. was OK to students, but asked alot of questions. need to get used to his sense of humor.

I find this professor to be an excellent professor. Many professors should have gone to the same school as him, for this man can really teach well. His melodius voice may leave much to be desired, however, his bark is worse than his bite. Truly a nice professor.
This professor misplaced his book for the 2007 summer class, then he started using a total different book. He's rude, un-easy, he likes to make students feel small.If you want to obtain a good grade specially if you're taking nursing. Dr. Klarberg is a very good teacher. If you don't let him intimidate you, pay attention in class (TAKE GOOD NOTES, participate in class (read chapter BEFORE coming to class) there is no way you won't do well in the exams and end up getting an A in th class. I just took him last semester and yes most comments are true but I actually like him more than most professors in the school. He's intimidating at first but once you get to know him he isn't all that bad.I don't take most of his comments seriously and you have to be strong willed to take his class.Study,if you don't understand, read the textbook.
Dr. K is coool, he makes a lot of sarcastic comments and if you have an accent don't take his class lol! overall he's a good professor and he has a lot of funny jokes which keeps the class interesting. If you take things to the heart or too emotional, don't take him.

Although he is very knowledgeable on the course material his teaching and attitude are horrible. He is rude and uses inappropriate sexual inuendos during class, ethnic undertones and at times blatant prejudiced remarks. Dr. Klarberg is a very smart professor and you will learn alot. Yes he is rude and disrespectful haha but he doesn't really cover all material in class so don't slack off. Prof. Klarberg was an amazing professor. I had tons of fun in his class, he's hilarious. He might make some remarks, but don't let it get to you, he means well. He definitely knows his area of expertise. Just pay attention in class and take good notes, you'll do good. We're in college now people, stop complaining and just do it!
This Professor teaching method is totally different from other professors. He can be rude sometimes and u may feel in the beginning that he is mean, but by the end of semester you can see why he is so tough. He wants to motivate you. He told my class that half of the people that start college dont finish. That is reality. We needed to hear this.

Dr. Klarberg is a gentleman. He is helpful and easygoing. Yes, sometimes he is tough and a little rough around the edges, but he really cares about the subject of Public Health and wants his students to be informed as much as possible for the real world. He is only tough to make us tough for the industry. He cares and really nice and helpful.

Very intellectual but flaunts it rather than teaching his students. Lectures are verbal with no other aids besides the textbook. Either goes into too much detail or is too broad in his explanations. Be prepared to self-teach from the textbook (which he even told us to do for the last few chapters!) I paid to be taught, not to teach myself!
You have to study very hard, Anatommy n Physiology isn't a light subject the material is dense. In his class because he is scattered with the notes he gives, you have to just teach yourself and make sure you know and understand everything from the text. Dr. Klarberg has 4 degrees, one of which is from Yale U. He's full of knowledge and gives good advice on life. However, doing well in his class is challenging for several reasons - see other comments. He usually spends at least 1/3 of class time joking. Take good notes and study hard. My GPA dropped this semester.
Professor is strict and funny at the same time. Text book is the only way to pass this class. His test is not hard its just a lot to remember from the text book that can get a person confuse. My advice for this class is the minute you buy the book start reading it and take notes!He likes to see improvements!! !! Good Luck everyone
Dr. Klarberg is a very good professor, he is very strict but you will learn a lot if you study hard and pay attention. He comes off tougher than he is. His class is not for lazy people, if are a good student you will do good, period.
Not a good professor but he is very knowledgeable. His tests are not difficult. Be prepare to get bored with his life story. He is the only professor for this class so there is no escaping so just study and be on time.
Strict, Not friendly, tries to act funny but serious at the same time. Study from the textbook, only way to pass his tests. Tests are very easy. Calls on students randomly, must be prepared to answer. Gives pop quizzes if students don't answer questions.
Very strict about manner and attitude. All tests are based on textbook. Knowledge of biology or anatomy will help lab tests. Lectures are pointless, but he takes attendance very seriously. I think he likes to be shown as a scary professor but is nice person.
Although I got a good grade, I admit he's a pretty brutal teacher. If you have a lot of interest in the subject, as I did, you should do ok. If not, have fun with a low grade. Tests are on what he says and some textbook, NOT THE POWERPOINT. He curved a lot of grades in the summer, so keep that in mind too.
VERY CONDESCENDING professor when talking to or upon, every 34 chapters there will be an exam. For every chapter theres 40 pgs to it so you have ALOT of readingstudying. He expects a 10 page term paper at the end of the semester and thinks everyone is stupid. He didnt even give the class a rating sheet at the end of the semester. I DONT RECOMMEND
If you have the opportunity to take another professor for this course, DO IT. He is the worst professor ive taken at qcc so far and this is my last semester. Doesnt give a focal point on what to study, test are based on every 3 to 4 chap and each chap is 40 plus pages. YOU HAVE ALOT OF STUDYING TO DO, and better start your 10 page term paper early

He is a HORRIBLE PROFESSOR DO NOT TAKE HIM. Doesnt teach at all and gets off topic and insults his students gts off topic for more of the time of the lecture. Tough grader and goes way too fast doesnt explain things clearly in order for you to understand the subject. When he does lab expect things to be on the test he did not mention.

DO NOT take this professor. Hes a really tough grader and told the students that spelling counts and if you misspell a word by 1 letter its completely wrong. He also told a student that if she didnt get something from him directly, that she was wrong because he did not tell her that. Test are hard and was always going off topic about his life.
Would NOT recommend to anyone!! he goes off topic way to much and doesnt stick to the topic of his lectures. He goes way to fast and doesnt take the time to explain things to students and his tests are hard in Lab and lecture. He told his students during the first test in lab that more than half were going to fail without even giving it out.
This professor is tough but so is the course itself. You have to read, read, read. Take your own notes from the chapter, and go above and beyond in order to grasp the material. His lectures are straight off of powerpoints that do not coincide with the course textbook. The exams are super tough, multiple choice with 5 different choices.
I just finished summer session with Prof. Klarberg and this class was only hard if you didn't study. Read the textbook and understand what you read and you'll be fine. He goes off sometimes in class but its by no means boring because you learn so much outside of anatomy & physiology. Show that you study and care and he'll do right by you in return.
You can only pass these class if you know your stuff,prof DAvid don't really care about his students,his questions where tricky,i made an A because I already had a degree on that,so if you are new to anatomy pls drop and look for HAffiner who is ready to teach you from the scratch.

Very rude, he talks more about his life than anything, he embarrasses people and makes fun of people with non American names. I drop his class because i took my first exam and I was absent when he gave out the results, Btw he gave results two weeks after the exam and when I asked him for the results he said to email him and he never responded

Dr Klarberg is a really easy LAB Biology teacher. He gives you the information to pass his exams and he never deviates from what he teaches. He likes participation and students who work hard. He answers your questions, in a very detailed manner. Remember the structures he gives you and you'll pass. Simple.

He tells people they are better of jumping off a bridge and that it would be better for thier family's. Most of the lab class is him talking about himself, his religion, wives, politics, things not related to class. This professor is extremely rude. He embarrassed a student on the first day of lab class by calling her an agitator just for asking a simple question. He comes up with a bunch of dry jokes. He mumbles a lot & doesnt teach with enthusiasm. His lectures are very boring.
