He is awesome! Funny too! He keeps class interesting but is pretty serious when it comes to playing around in class. He just expects you to act like adults, thats all.

He is a brilliant man, & will teach you how to write by learning from other great writers...that's his philosophy. Just make sure you show up to class on time & ready to discuss whatever material he wanted you to read. Didn't use a text book, he e-mailed us some educational sites to use as reference tools. Funny,clever, GREAT writer, great teacher!

Cool teacher. Has tons of knowledge about everything. Breaks up the "same-old, same-old" mold of what a college class has become. Learned tons of stuff that will benifit me the rest of my college and professional career. Take this professor!

Gerbil, gerbil, gerbil! Interesting class, interesting personality. Do assignments/what is expected on time and you will find yourself with a good grade. Kleinman is very clear about his expectations, don't let his "comments" bother you.

Prof. K was awesome. His personality was very witty. and he infused it in with his teaching style. If you don't understand his personality, you will probably feel insulted by him. HE prepares students for REAL LIFE. Most teaches use out dated books you cant relate to. Well we use the most current info available the internet also increasing our vocabulary, world awareness, and our writing ability. He so ROCKS I look forward to his class. When I had him he liked to play music while we free wrote in class which made it more enjoyable. We didn't really use the book much only to read some stories and take notes from it. We did most of our reading from today's writers and the internet.

I miss going to this class! Kleinmann connects with his students. His class is interactive...plus you get bonus points for being funny, thinking critically, making a point, or all together just thinking. He encourages class discussion and has team debates sometimes. Only two papers.critical thinking is involved in class activities but it is so fun!

When you first meet him you may form an opioion of a rude man with no life. He tries to scare you with his rules but by the end of the course you realize how easy you had it you save money because you dont have to buy a book and he assigns homework but only checks to see if you do it. He assigns two paper both are required to be in MLA format 5pgs

I enjoyed comming to class. I learned alot, he has strange humor but does want you to learn. He pulled something out of me I didn't know I had. Very smart teacher, always willing to help you.

At the beginning of the course I did not care for him. As the course went on, he became more enjoyable. He really gets you to stop thinking about yourself and really take your time to work on writing and how to write productivily. Awesome teacher!! Def. recommend him!!!

One of the best teachers TNCC has to offer. If you don't do your work or show up to class, then don't take his class. He is one of the best teachers I have ever had. I learned a lot from him, and could see myself hanging out with him after class. He seems like a **** at first, but he is very, very cool. I wish I could have him for all my classes.

Professor Kleinman has probably been the best teacher I've had so far. He has high standards, but has no problem in helping you get there if he sees that you are willing to come to him for help. His teaching style is geared towards young adults, but he still maintains a teacher-student relationship and never, at any time, does he cross that line.

Not one of the best, THE BEST instructor I have ever had. He sincerely care bout the what you learn as opposed to just being here. I cant remember when learning was so much fun. out of all my classes he gave the most work,.assignment load heavy.BUT, if u think allow ur thought process 2 go were it hasnt its not hard. Mr. Clayman (just because I held back a laugh every time I heard this mispronunciation), is a great teacher. His class is by no means easy, but he actually does teach students to think and improve themselves, both in writing and self. The only real requirements with this teacher is to be tolerable, and to have an IQ above 55, like in real life.

Mr.Kleinman is an AWESOME teacher and a awesome person. He really makes his class fun, but he makes you think outside of the box also. His lessons are pretty tough but thats what he wants his students to become....successful and great. Dont be a cupcake taking this class, because in the end you WILL appreciate his lesson plans.

He makes you think. You won't always like what he has to say, but at least he makes you truly state a worthwhile argument. If you're going to be a buttercup, don't take this class. -_-

This man is the greatest teacher to have ever walked the face of the earth! If people drop his class that's their problem. He's the most sarcastic (trust me it's a good thing) and interactive teacher ever. Prepare for a class full of laughs and a good grade if you're good at critical thinking.

Hands down best teacher I've ever had. I actually feel like his class made me more intelligent unlike any other class. He is hilarious, just do your work and you will easily pass. I would recommend him to everyone

He makes you actually think. he doesn't spoon feed you. If you do the work and follow his directions you will do well. He's a great teacher.

The guy makes it easy. Put in some effort, don't try to just cruise through, and you are good to go. And keep your cellphone hidden and silent.

I walked in this class close minded and only being able to argue from my side of view, and he makes you realize both sides by making you argue against your own opinion, this class has helped me in real life, because now I can see things and argue things that I coulsn't before. He'll have you thinking about things from a different perspective!

There was NEVER a dull moment in his classroom and i really enjoyed it. He tends to come off sarcastic and sometimes rude but the class really isn't bad at all. A lot of people drop out the first couple weeks because he puts you on the spot and he makes you think. But we had really good discussions and he is a funny teacher.

Most amazing English professor I have ever had. He breaks down the barriers of what you thought you knew and forces you to see things differently. Often left his class feeling like I was not smart enough to be there but it forced me to work harder and beco e a better writer. Wish I could take his class again.

I took 2 classes, one in person, and one online for a separate class. I can say that communication, and participation is key is his class. He challenges each person to a better writer and I appreciate his humor, that is better than a dry lecture any day. To pass come on time and be prepared, do your work and you just might enjoy the class.

AWESOME Teacher, I am late commenting, I took this course my freshman year. But Prof. K was by far my favorite professor at TNCC. His teaching has helped me in other college courses that require essays.

He's what you put into him. If you expect high quality then that's exactly what you get. People bash people for being held accountable. Everything in his class is mentioned 10 times before it's due. That coupled with the extra credit leaves you less than par if you earn anything less than a A. Kids do not last, adults thrive. Which one are you?

Kleinman was an awesome professo. He is the only one I have had at Thomas Nelson that actually teaches you. He challenges you to rethink your views and make discoveries. Its a very deep class that if you try you will succeed and if youre lazy, you may have some trouble. He is very fair and there is no way you can not know when something is due.

Mr. Kleinman is a good teacher. He actually cares that you become a better writer by making you open your mind. His comments are sometimes rude and inappropriate. If you have strong views and love to debate, you will like this class. But if you are close-minded, be warned.

Mr. Kleinman was the best teacher i've ever had. Contrary to the illiterate posts on here, if you do the work and are familiar with proper english you should have no problem passing the class. He was very quick to help me with any questions I had. As for being late, if you're a good student he lets its slide a couple times. Just behave!

While a little different than what people would normally expect in a class, his teaching style for argumentative English is amazing. Keep an open mind because he is going to challenge you to actually think instead of mindlessly arguing with logical fallacies. Do the work and BE ON TIME. You will do fine.

Kleinman is absolutely amazing! By far the best professor/class I have encountered at TNCC. Challenging class that makes you take a step back and challenge your views. Have an open mind, be on time, do your assignments, and you will definitely get an A.

Professor Klienman was amazing, I had him for my first semester and waited for 2 semesters so that I could have him for 112. the class is challenging (makes you think) and he gives fair grades and tons of extra credit. The only way to fail this class is to not show up or laziness. His teaching style is different but it is perfect for English.

Wasn't that difficult. Wrote a few papers; Very helpful if you need it. Answers questions but be clear and logical with what you are asking. Overall great teacher. Would take him again wo a doubt

Kleinman is difficult at first, but if you put in the effort he suggests and wants it won't be as much of a struggle. He has a way of changing your thought process to a higher level of thinking if you open yourself up to it. No tests, a few quizzes, homework every night. Everything relates to the papers you write for his Midterm and Final.

I took him for 111 and 112 and he is a great professor. He gives back what you put in so you can't skate through his class and expect to get a good grade. He teaches how to write quality papers. I received an A in both 111 and 112 with him. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing English classes.

Kleinman is very intelligent, and tends to challenge the way you think. If a cell phone goes off, class will come to a stop. Paying attention, and simply trying to learn will go a long way. Stupid questions(such as questions that have been addressed numerous times) will be singled out. Seating arrangements also change often.

Kleinman is the best professor I have encountered thus far. He wants you to write well and the work he assigns is helpful and essential to do well in class. Show up to each class and take it seriously, this will bode well if you want a good grade. If you are not a critical thinker, Kleinman isn't for you.

Professor Kleinman is one of the best professors I have ever had. He truly values educating us. He gives us challenges that are beneficial in the betterment of personal knowledge. If you want to learn how to be successful at critical thinking and value becoming educated, I strongly recommend taking all classes that he offers.

If you love English and you're pretty good at it, you'll love his class. If you don't enjoy English, go with someone else. You need to be independent and self-motivated. Professor Kleinman is unconventional, his class is extremely creative and teaches you a lot of valuable lessons. I've taken in class and online. My favorite English teacher ever.

You need thick skin with Kleinman, but if you have a good sense of humor he's a fun class to be in. Lots of reading, writing and participation!

Professor Kleinman is very sarcastic and blunt you have to be able to deal with that. He will make you think and his papers are no joke! GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS! He explains much better when you're one on one. Overall I enjoyed his class this comes from someone who failed it for English 111 online and received an A for English 112 in class.

I took his ENG 111 class and 1/2 through his 112 class. I enjoy the challenge of his classes but they're very hard. If you don't attend class you will fail- he doesn't post on blackboard and there is no book. Homework assignments are assigned and due in class. Take very detailed notes. Not typical college essays. Abstract and hard concepts to learn

Mr. Kleinman is hands down one of the best professors I've ever had. I had him for ENG111, and plan on taking his ENG112 course as well. To get a good grade you only really need to show up, be attentive, take notes and participate. He is only a hard grader if you don't do what he outlines. ASK QUESTIONS! He is always very eager to answer and help.

I was very hesitant about this professor at first b/c of the negative reviews, but I really enjoyed having him by the end of it. He'd give full credit if I turned in something late, and when I had a doubt or question, he was quick to answer it, usually within 24-48 hrs on Canvas. Was very helpful to me and I'd take the sequel class if he taught it.

I really liked his class. Found it very easy/enjoyable, I'm typically a English/History student plus enjoy papers/reading. He tells you want he wants to see, extremely understandable with late work, but pay attention in his class, he enjoys respectful banter. There are some low reviews for him on here, but I believe he changed his teaching style.

He is a good professor and really stresses participation. He does not penalize late work but really encourages you to do them on time.
