He is so boring. He could write on the board but he won't let go the chalk. He doesn't teach well he actually mumble to himself. When you ask for help his answer is read the book. Not recommended
He is very boring, and he sucks. He is not helpful. When you ask a question he says read the book or YOU NEED TO GO HOME AND THINK ABOUT IT! He is not that good. He can't teach, he mumbles to himself, he is unclear.
He is the best math teacher i ever seen. You may not like him the way he explains however, he is very helpful, easy, clear, and understanding. All you need to do is go to his class, take notes, do all the home work. If you do all the home work and understand the review materials there is no Away you will get anything but Also he gives a huge curv.
HE IS VERY GOOD AT WHAT HE DOES, HE HELPS YOU OUT AND IF YOU TALK TO HIM HE WILL GIVE YOU A GOOD GRADE. HE IS THE BEST CALCULUS PROFESSOR IN THE MATH DEPT. TAKE HIM, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT
A teacher should be a teacher and not a person who just give out good grades to students if they request them. He is a nice person but he needs to know what it is to be a teacher.Don't be fooled by tose rtings saying he is the best. His teaching sucks he just hand out easy good grades to students without making them learn.Very Ridiculous
can't teach, cant do a thing but he is a nice and easy guy. Try talk to him and he will listen to you an even change your grade if you are not satisfied. He is the wost teacher I ever come across but he is a easy and helpful professor.
he can't teach, the class is madd boring i hate it
Dr. Lee is excellent. He explains everything clearly. If one of the students do not understand something, he would go over it until he understands. He drops one of the lowest midterm grades. Highly recomended.
He is a very dedicated. He is patient and respectful to each of his students. When I take a note, i can tell how long he spend his time for the prep of his lecture. He is a little bit fast, but, overall, he is good and well rounded Professor. If you are to take m 110, take him.
Passed all exams but the material was a little confusing because he didn't explain enough. He also does mumble so you have to listen closely.
nicest most amazing professor you will ever have in college. very easy to get a good grade. however he isn't strict so you have to motivate yourself to do the homework i went to maybe half the classes (8am) had a 87 test average and he still gave me an A in the class. also lots of extra credits and bonuses.
One of the bests. Asanon Math major student, I really enjoyed the class. His lecture was clearandeasy to understand. Always there were reviews for exams and no surprise.
Though Queens College don't have many good professors, this guy helps a lot. He gives exams that make final exam by math dept. a breeze. He's even willing to help after class if you don't understand something in class. A Highly recomended professor at Queens College for anyone who's taking Math.
Its his 2nd semester teaching and he sucks at it. Drop the course if you have regestred for it.
worst prof ever - no idea how to teach - but was a pretty easy A
what a nice guy!! he's just really cool and calm and makes the classroom a chilled place to be without the stress - he's a little forgetful but hes a grad student also and juggling it all so i give him props just for always smiling and being happy.
I think he is the nicest professor ever. He is a grad student as well and has a lot on his plate. His lectures are clear, all on powerpoint, he puts in a lot of work into it. He is really nice and helpful, sometimes people give him 2 much hard time. This is the second time I have him and think he is great!!! Really pleasant and nice too.
D.L. is the best math professor to take! he is extremely nice and is willing to answer questions anytime ~although he does move fast he explains all the material very well~ def take him
Great pysch class to take if looking for an easy grade
i really dont like math much but lee is so great..he's really nice and doesn't mind helping out students. He gave extra credit also. I'd definitely recommend him if you need to take a math course.
Kinda boring but really easy if you study the textbook, lecture basically sums up the textbook chapters so as long as you go over the textbook, lecture attendance isn't really necessary
I took this class over the summer and it was hard never in my life have I seen exams like the ones that he gave. Refrain from taking him in the summer. He wasn't very helpful in reviewing for the exams. Eventhough they were multiple choice the way he worded the questions were very tricky and difficult to pinpoint the answer.
He's a great guy truly but I think those of us who took him this summer underestimated him a little. I do think however that the first exam was very tricky, but he certianly made up for his short comings on the final exam. If you are going to take Psych 214 take it in the school year so you have more time to study its NOT a class to take lightly.
HE'S BORING!!! EXAMS ARE DIFFICULT.
dont take this class unless you are ready to memorize the textbook. he gets confused by questions asked by students. every easy to pass but you wont get a good grade unless u eat and sleep the textbook. test are long and he asks very specific question from the textbook.
WOW! I didnt belive anyone and took this guy! First test EVERYONE failed. I find his way of explaing things difficult. He uses Umm and uhh alot. Text was a bit difficult for me to follow, he tests on details details details! Worst experience in collge since my freshman year!
Best teacher... take him, trust me you will not regret it... he is hilarious and a great teacher... his review sheet is exactly what is on the test, just diff. #'s... I wish he taught more classes.
Oh My God!...that's all i have to say. This guy is a new professor i think and his exams are super hard to pass. i started doubting my intelligence when i failed the first exam..He seems like a nice guy but i think he should portray his nice personality in his exams as well. DONT take him if u want to fail
Do youself a favor and stay away from this guy. He does not know how to teach at all. His exams are dumb and hard to pass unless you live and breathe the text book.I'm mad that he's allowed to teach college students. I learned nothing in his class.
He is the WORST professor I have EVER taken. People please, do not take him, save your sanity. I got such a horrible grade that my GPA went down badly. I didn't learn a damn thing, I tried so hard, but nada. I hope he gets fired.
what everyone else is saying. he's the sweetest guy and really wants to help, but he just cant teach for his life. it is 100% memorization from the textbook, and the tests are detailed and HARD-he curved 10-20 points for each test!
great funny and easy I got a 100 on the final and A+ for the whole class, take him and you will never regret it
He is really great professor who i ve met. He s so clarified and he teaches u step by step. highly recommend him. I hope he teach the other classes.:(
this prof is so nice, and easy going. Come on now, we are in college not high school. you have to study for exams. His exams was direct to the text and it was fair. College is not just for hanging out in the cafeteria or making out in the library. So all those who are piss, you shoul know best.
His class is super easy. He can go fast but if you ask him he will take the time to explain it better. His test are formatted exactly like the review sheets.
He is an OK prof. He basically restates everything in the textbook and his exams are hard but not impossible, it is basically details in the textbook
BEST PROFESSOR EVER! Take his class, you will NOT regret it. He's amazing, funny, makes class entertaining. Loved his apples and oranges examples.
HE IS A VERY GOOD PROFF. HE GOES THROUGH EVEYTHING ND GIVES OUT A REVIEW SHEET BEFORE EXAMS AND IF U DONT UNDERSTAND ANYTHING.. HE WILL TAKE TIME TO EXPLAIN!
I am speechless, and so is he. Terrible.
Professor Lee is an awesome teacher. I only took this class as a requirement and I ended up loving it. He explains the material extremely well and is very helpful, we constantly practiced the problems. He does have an accent but you'll get use to it and he is really cool, always cracking jokes. I got an A+ in the class. I def. recommend him.
Hes the best! he goes out of his way to make sure u understand, hes funny and easy to talk to. there is no way you will get a grade lower then a B+
i hated math before his class. He is so great! he really tris to make things as clear as possible, even giving 10 point easy extra credit. His grading is more then fair.
super easy! I learned more in his class then all the years I have been forced to take math.
Realize he only teaches the lower math courses, thats because he doesn't have the ability to teach a highier course. He is a nice guy, and knows a lot about math, but just can't teach. He would write stuff on the board, then explain it very briefly after he is done writing.quiz every week, 3 exams, drop the lowest grade. good luck to everyone
Great professor. I learned a lot from his class. He explains everything very well and goes over all the home work. Very patient with the students. Take him. You will never regret.
One of the best Math teachers in QC. He is extremely efficient and his lectures are absolutely crystal clear. If you understand the Home work and class notes, that's enough for the quizzes and exams. I was never bored or lost in his lectures. I am glad that I had the opportunity to be in one of his classes.
The most horrible teacher. Do not take unless you already know what is going to be taught. He gets the problems that he assigns wrong all the time, then only corrects then when showed. Cannot understand. Explains to self speaks so low cant hear/understand If know everything in book already fine, but dont expect to be able to learn anything from him
He knows the material very well and teaches math concepts very claerly. I didn't like math before. But he changed my whole view of math. His class is easy and enjoyable. He really helps.
Very good teacher. If you keep up with the classes do HW problems you will do fine. Quiz every week, during second half - take home which reduced stress. EXAMS no surprise; problems from HW and past quizes. He knows material very well; provides good explanation. Willing and encourages review of HW problems; he picks some on his own to review.
Horrible, Bad, incomprehensible. Don't take unless you already know everything about the class because you won't learn anything. The only possible way that he could have gotten all these good reviews is that he rated himself massive amounts of times.
He is the worst math professor I have ever come across in my entire academic life ! I am not even exaggerating! I am not a strong math student to begin with but in this class I have gotten the worst scores on exams EVER! Do no take him. He NEVER goes over homework nor does he check to see if youve done them. He writes note like it were an english c
His teaching is crystal clear to undertand. He always comes to the class half an hour early and answer all your questions. He takes care of all homework questions in the class. He is very patient, nice and helpful. One of the best math prof. in QC. One thing bothers is that he gives too many quizzes and exams.
the guy who commented on making out in the library and hanging out in the cafeteria, oh! is that what you do on your free time? anyway, this professor is horrible, don't take him!!!
Excellent teacher. Explains everything you need to know to get an A in the course. He basically gives you what to expect for each exam. As long as you study, you can really get an A. He explains everything well & is definatley on the students side. A+
You need to go to the math lab to brush up on your skills. Just going to class isn't even.
Professor Lee is very much gifted teacher. He teaches difficult calc concepts so well that everyone may understand or may have a better understanding. I am so grateful to pass the course with an "A" this Summer after failing twice. I attended all his classes, and took all quizzes and exams. I never was bored in his class.
Professor Lee is the best Math professor.I took his class for summer 2009 and I don't regret it... Calculus is a very hard subject but made fun and easy to understand.. He is very understandin and helpful...
When I took Math 151, I got 3 midterm all above 90, so my final exam is exempted, and become an automatic A+ for the course, tests are fairly easy compare to what typical calculus courses are. He's korean, very kind person.
GREAT professor! He makes the class easy for you to get an A in. He gives homework but it is not mandatory to do. He goes over the questions that will be on the tests. 3 test 12 quizes on every week but he drops 2. He offers a few extra credit assignments.
Great Professor, very kind and understanding. He will do everything he can to get you a good grade. He explains anything you need to know very clearly, although his accent can be slightly confusing. Tests are easy and mostly based off of what he just taught that day and the day before. Great class to take to boost your grade.
Typical math professor. spends more time writing than trying to make sure people understand the material. other than that, he's not too bad.don't take him during the summer. He will breifly go through power series. this is the most important topic in this course. the entire final exam was nothing but power series.
Professor Lee is very fair. Calculus is very hard to begin with but if you keep up with the work/homework, you should do very well. He is a fair grader. Tests are on what is taught. No surprises.
Got an A+ in this class eventually, with trouble. Class was early in the morning and he missed 3 days without notice; began rushing through important material to make up. Don't feel prepared for the next class up. DOES drop the lowest test score and lowest quizzes, but gives NO office hours; math tutors don't know the material. Do not recommend.
Professor Lee is very understanding. I've had him for math 115 and math 122 and they were EASY. 3 exams and 12 quizzes. He drops the lowest 2 quizzes and the lowest of the 3 exams. Just keep up with the homework and you will definitely get an A.
Took this course over the summer and I do not regret it for one second. He teaches well, BUT be mindful that in the summer professors get to make their own final. So he taught things that even the department couldn't help me with. BUT do not be discouraged, he is nice-drops lowest test grade. He explained the material well, just make sure to study
He is a smart guy but isnt good at explaining the material but he is very nice and will teach you as much as he can. He does a lot of calculation in his head instead of writing on the board, so if you arent familiar with basic arithmetic then you will have hard time understanding him. Memorize all formulas even the ones he doesnt go over in class.
This is guy is very laid back and understanding. His makes math fun and challenging. Yes, at times he skips problems but his excuse is "experience". He makes math fun also saying this "is not important like your ex". Took him for math 151 and I do not regret it one bit. Very nice guy. If you do work you will be good.
Guy just isn't clear in what he's saying at all. It's an easy course, one which I was forced to take because CUNY refused to recognize that I got a 95 in AP Calculus and forced me to spend $600 on this useless class. The teacher can't speak English for jack, but the class is easy. He's okay to take.
Discrete Math for CS maj. It was 2nd time for me to take this course. A quiz was given every week + two midterms and final. The topics are broad and scattered but the class was focused and comprehensible. The class started 7:45 am, which was not easy to manage. But it was really worth to take it.
Decent Prof. He is very nice and wants to help. Sometimes he's a little hard to understand. I had to learn some stuff on my own because I didn't understand in class. He gives quizzes often to check if you did homework. Tests are not so hard.
Don't take. I almost had to teach myself everything and had to get a tutor for the end of the semester for the final. Rushes through things and never explains clear. He's thinks that because he knows it that everyone else already knows it too. Plain and simple , don't take him if you need to do well
He makes corny jokes but it's cute because he thinks he's hilarious. He gets confusing sometimes but he'll explain anything if you ask. He gives quizzes every week and drops two of them. Gives only three tests drops the lowest. If you do better on the final than your actual grade, he uses that as your overall grade. Doesn't check homework like that
He is a pretty good professor and knows what he is doing, sometimes he seemed a bit confused. I took this class mainly for credit so I knew what I was doing, but there were many students who wanted him to go over EVERY single question! And for the most part, he would do it. I felt like students really took full advantage of the class...
Although his lectures tend to a bit boring, you can learn from him if you ask the right questions. His exams are related to the quizzes so make sure you do well on them.
He explains very well and makes math easy to understand. He is patient to answer yours question until you get it. Make sure you do homework for the quizzes given every week. Highly recommended.
He makes Descrete Math easy to understand. He is funny and good at explaining problems. I have enjoyed being in his class. This is second time I have taken this course. I can confidently say Prof. David Lee is far superior instructor than others.
Decent and friendly Prof. I took this course over the summer 2017--NO regret for one second. He teaches well, BE mindful that in the summer professors makes their own final. Quiz was given every other day. He was nice-drops lowest test grade. He explained the material very well and was ready help...
He is a very nice professor but he is one that really does not explain well. You have to basically teach yourself the math from the text book because his explanations are vague and at times will confuse you more. Overall he is pretty fair and reasonable.
He is a nice guy, but not the best professor. He does not know how to explain things very well. His exams were difficult. For most of his exam questions, he does not show examples of how to do them in class. He's just OKAY. I wouldn't take him again if i had to.
He knows what he is doing but we don't lol. This class has its ups and downs. First, you should show up to class because there's no way for you to understand the material without someone explaining it. The quizes and homework helps a lot so make sure to do it. But the way he explains is as if we know most of the stuff. He goes way too fast.
Hes a nice guy and he really does try and teach the material, however my whole class was just so confused!! It was horrible for such an important class and we didnt really leave gaining much. Quizzes every week and each exam is cumulative.
Awesome professor. Class for elementary school teachers. Learned a lot from this class.
He makes funny and corny jokes and he is hilarious some times. He is decent and friendly professor: Patient and helpful. Summer course was very intense but worth.
he is terrible please do not take him! he gives quizzes every other class arojnd 3 questions no parital credit. Does not go over the homework they are based on prior so if you dont understand the homework you will fail. He does math in his head and doesnt teach. choose a different professor I took it with another prof got an A.
Read the textbook, the way he teaches isn't very clear. If you read the textbook chapter notes you'll probably be better off, in addition to using his notes too.
This professor is an ok teacher. He definitely knows what he's doing, but not the best when he teaches. When he lectures, he doesn't really explain topics very well. Gives a quiz every other class and 4 tests with final. Tests are pretty straightforward.
Go to class and actually focus on what he teaches. Free A.
Four midterms and a final given. You should expect quiz every week and Webassign homework for every lesson. Excellent lectures recommended.
This class is for CS majors. His lectures are very clear and understadable. Fair grader and caring.
Its 15% for 4 test each , 30 for final and 10 for all the quizzes that you get every week. He complicates things and teaches it the more difficult way. In the beginning we taught him an easier way to do cause we knew it but after the end chapter we went to online sources b/c he didnt teach it well.
He is the best Math professor that I have had so far.
Don't take him unless you are prepared to teach the material to yourself. His lectures are hard to follow and he overcomplicates everything. YouTube got me through this semester. His only upside is he is a very easy grader, gives lots of partial credit and always rounds up- so if you can teach it to yourself it's an easy A.
He is very knowledgeable, but he performs expecting you to know pre-calculus already. This was a very tough class because I took in in the short summer session (4 weeks) with two quizzes and an exam every week. Don't take pre-calculus in the summer session unless your trigonometry is solid!
O.M.G. I could not understand him clearly because he would mumble SO much. He would also sole problems in the strangest ways possible. As a freshman i would go to his class late on purpose (yes, it was THAT bad). I would go to the math center and it helped a little but i really do not recommend taking a course with this professor. Good Luck Charlie
You take you fail.
I personally don't like his teaching style. He's super nice and friendly. But the whole semester I learned by myself. No calculators. Everything was knowledge from high school. He is a easy grader. You get partial credit. But I would not recommend.
I swear to god this man is the funniest professor ever, clear grading, if you are cool with him he will help you out. Tests aren't hard. Just study the topics.
The goat
His accent is heavy, be prepared to ask him once or twice for something, although it's not likely he'll explain it and you'll just have to review it online. A 20-minute video online is more helpful than 2 of his lectures combined. He's impossible to reach, I had to contact the math department to reach him. I've been told he's generous Cs and Bs.
he is literally talking to himself and he does all the math in his head. Super hard to keep up with. No time to copy any notes and very less time given for quizzes
Great professor.
Great professor, the best in math that I've ever had. quiz each week with feedback, didn't get mad if you interrupt him, always had time, always nice, and happy. He makes math less stressful.
Pros and Cons of Professor Lee Pros -Great teacher! -Doesn't get mad when you interrupt him or repeatedly ask a question Cons -Hard to hear because of accent -He teaches kind of fast so sometimes or most of the time you'll just have to watch recordings -Also gives quizzes at least once a week or every other week. *Tip*-Watch YouTube videos & STUDY!
Overall a very nice and happy person, but goes way to fast, doesnt mind if you interrupt him but his accent makes him hard to understand, hw isnt mandatory but you need the practice since youre gonna be doing a lot of self teaching and studying.
While Professor Lee is a man that moves at a fast pace he is very forgiving and caring of his students if they do not understand the material. He gives Pop quizzes once a week but its on the material he teaches in the previous classes and states what topics they will be on. Of course they are not difficult but review alot because he moves fast.
the best professor ive taken in queens college. professor Lee makes the material really easy to learn and he takes his time explaining if needed. weekly quizzes are also very straight forward, he tells you what will be on it. 10/10 recommend!
Professor Lee is an awesome teacher. He gives very clear lectures. He demonstrates massive examples in the classes and sends emails of reviews & reminders, he answers all questions. Yes, he gives quite a bit quizs, thus you get more chances to average up your grade. He is not only a great teacher but also a very kind warm person.
awesome
The bad - you get a quiz every week based on the topics learned prior to that week can get hectic if you have 4+ classes. The good - he always does review sessions before an exam or quiz which genuinely help although it's time consuming. Also get ready for his weird stock analogies every class.
Consist mostly weekly quizzes (total 10 or 11 with usually 4-6 questions),homework that isn't part of the grading criteria (give it a go to understand the material), and great reviews before quiz/exams by zoom (if you understand the review, you'll be fine). His lectures are quite fast-paced and come out confusing, but overall great professor :)!
one quiz every week hard to understand with accent along with poor explaining of topics and the way he teaches things has no sequence, he just throws info and hopes students get it. drops lowest test take it if you can self teach using youtube but his exams are tricky.
He only received a 3 from me since he is a kind/nice guy and is pretty funny. You can expect a quiz every week, exams are worth a lot of your grade, and he never answers emails. The good thing is that he does a Zoom review before every quiz and exam, which helps a lot. But be ready to learn from YouTube since he is not clear in class.
He never explains the topics clearly. Does the math in his head. There is zero communication between the prof and the student, he never answers emails. The only two good things are that he does a Zoom review before an exam or quiz and he is a nice/funny guy. Get ready to teach yourself literally EVERYTHING.
He is very understanding and caring professor. He answers all your questions and makes things as easy as possible for anybody to understand. The course is very heavy to take a quiz every week and three exams and the final. Overall the class is very pleasant and enjoyable. GOAT...
Nice person, bad teacher. Extremely vague in class, only helps once a week (if that) during Zoom sessions. Be prepared to rely on Youtube to learn everything yourself.
His lectures come out fast, confusing or at least not clear. I find myself lost once he starts jumping through different problems. I don't know if he does zooms anymore at least for this course (would've been nice). MATH120 is flipped learning rn so you also gotta watch the videos before class, else you'll be more lost especially for exams.
one quiz every week, the exams are brutal and he put stuff that was NOT taught then felt bad and dropped the 2 lowest quizzes and lowest exam grade. grades decently for the quizzes but the lectures are unclear and a waste of time. You end up self teaching on youtube. Just self teach on youtube and apply it on the homework and quizzes. worked for me
Lots of contents and topics to study. For each class you are to watch videos made by Math department. In-class work requires active participation. Questions of quizzes and exams are from Open-eBook and the examples in the videos. Overall, the class is very entertaining, and there will be a lot to get out of this course required for CS majors.
He doesn't even know the answers to his own practice problems. He will continue on to the next question unless one of the students notices there's something wrong with the answer. He's a nice guy but a horrible teacher, he keeps bringing up things that are off-topic, taking away from class time.
I really enjoyed the way this class integrated the concepts of discrete mathematics with CS . It was fascinating to see how these mathematical theories underpin so many aspects of computer algorithms and data structures. Plus, Professor David Lee's engaging teaching style made complex topics more accessible and interesting.
What I like most about this class is the way professor David Lee teaches us to get a better understanding as well. He also is both entertaining and is able to review important material before a test. When he has time, he'll host review sessions the day before an exam.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS YOULL THANK ME LATER
This teacher is terrible. Going to his class is a waste of time. He does not teach and the classwork he gives our class is never finished. When asking him a question he does not seem to understand what is going on in class. You will have to rely on outside information to study. His test reviews are worthless and goes over nothing. Do not take him.
If you take this class prepare to learn on your own. This professor will not help in any way and makes the class more confusing. Good luck if you do take him.
David Lee is overall a pretty good teacher. However, it is noteworthy to point out that his class favors people who learn mostly through self-study. His lectures feel more like a review of the videos he encourages everyone to watch outside of class. He has 10 quizzes and drops 2 lowest scoring quizzes. Do well on quizzes and you'll do well on Exam.
Clear instructions on the materials for the quiz and exam plus Professor will email you the review materials. You gonna self study for the knowledge by the video clips. And Professor will go over it during the class. He is very nice and happy to answer student questions. Also extra credit on the exam. Recommending his!
Good Professor, however, it is to note that this class is very self-study heavy, so look on at the videos!
Watch all the videos and finish all classwork and the class should be incredibly light. Professor Lee also teaches the content really well. He encourages student participation to answer example topic questions to ensure that the content was understood by everyone. There's no graded hw but I HIGHLY suggest again to watch videos and do work to excel.
Math 122 has been such an amazing experience for me. The course is really well-organized, balancing challenges and support perfectly. The concepts are explained in a way that's easy to understand. He is super passionate and always there to help and motivate us to do our best. I highly recommend Math 122 with Prof Lee.
He literally talked about stocks and comparing it to the graphs the whole time . WERE ALREADY CONFUSED? A little accent but not too bad, but he would mess up so much without noticing it ultimately confusing us ( thank god for some to correct him). I took him Spring 2023. He got sick before finals and the final was 40%.
He keeps making mistakes, not count the grades correctly for some of the ques, grades by looking at his key ans, when you do in your way even if it's correct he will not give you a grade for it as he does not know how to ans it and looks to his key answers Not bad pref but he's not fair/not good to be prof, He said attendance for extra credit but..
It's a heavy 4 credit course. There will be quizzes once a week and 4 exams. The attendance matters but not mandatory. The lectures are to the point and excellent and the pro is caring. The grading criteria is fair and clear.
Be ready to teach yourself the topics after the 3rd unit when he himself starts making mistakes from the beginning to end of the problems and rather explaining his mistake so we could avoid it, he just erases it and continues on. He tends to start mumbling in the middle to the point where he's incoherent as times, mind you I sit in the front.
Be ready to teach yourself topics after unit 3, his teaching just becomes incoherent in both the style he teaches and how he explains. He can barely keep up with the material itself, makes mistakes from the beginning of the problem and only realizes until a students tells him, then he just changes the answer, doesn't re-explain the correct answer.
Professor's class relies heavily on self-study. Lectures feel more like reviews of videos. Quizzes are frequent but dropping the 2 lowest helps. Unstuck ai and other study tools were key to my success.
The course is excellently structured. The concepts are presented in a clear and easy to understand manner. Professor Lee's passion for teaching shines through, and he's always available to guide and inspire us to excel.
I had the privilege of taking Math 120 with him, and it was one of the best academic experiences I've had. He explains concepts clearly, provides helpful examples, and is always patient when answering questions. His teaching style makes even complex topics easy to understand.
Professor Lee was a nice person, but his teaching style was almost non-existent. Very vaguely introduced new concepts in a overcomplicated way. Inaccessible outside of class, inconsistent office hours/email responses. Tried contacting him when I was doing poorly in class and couldn't get ahold of him. I have no idea how I passed.
He is one of the nicest professors I've had the pleasure to meet. All the content is online for this class so when you come to class, you work in groups to complete a worksheet. He gives quizzes every week but they are extremely easy if you watch the videos right before. Overall, it's a very easy class and grade because he is very helpful.
Math 122 has been a fantastic experience for me. The course is highly organized, striking an ideal balance between difficulty and guidance. The concepts are presented in a clear and accessible way. Professor Lee is deeply enthusiastic, always available to assist, and consistently inspires us to excel.
Fast teaching style, read ahead of time
Took the summer course so I won't have the same review as others, but he gives 12-13 quizzes which could screw you over if you don't do a little bit of studying before hand and paying attention to the videos. Midterms and final are fair in terms of difficulty. Course is like a mix of statistics, precalculus, and expanding upon basic math knowledge.
The class is all just watch videos online before class, rewatch a some of them and go over it in class with homework. he takes time to ask if anyone doesnt understand and will go over questions explaining
