This Math teacher is the best! I failed the first time around but he definitely helped me get an A the second time around!

The best remedial math teacher at FSW! I took him for both 0018 and 1023 and passed with an A both times, which is surprising coming from someone who is horrible at math, I recommend taking him, he has such a passion for math which shows, he's there to help you both before and after class, he's really awesome!

Mr. Licht was a great professor. His lectures are very easy to understand. He clearly loves his subject and loves helping his students! I would love to take one of his classes again! You will have to buy a MyLabsPlus code in order to activate the necessary software for this class. The book itself is optional.

Wonderful teacher! I am horrid at math and despise it, he actually makes it interesting and going to class after a long day of work is not something I dread doing . He has a way of explaining things that make sense to me. I would take him again and recommend his class to anyone that struggles with math like I do.

Hands down one of the best professor's I've had. This is the first math course I've felt confident in. He's extremely helpful, clear during lectures, lets you make up tests, and is very genuine. I had Mr. David Licht for MAT0057 and now MAT1033 he is such a wonderful Professor who is really there for his students. Explains all the math material well. Will answer your questions with no problem. Just study and Do all the HW and keep up with it. Never liked Math until I had this professor! Sad he wont teach Algebra. Would take him again!!!!

Doing the homework and attending class are very helpful in passing the class. We are all very disappointed he will not be teaching MAC 1105.

I have always hated math and have had difficulty passing math courses. Professor Licht changed all of that. He provides clear lecture, lots of notes, examples and application to real life. You will pass if you come to class, take the notes and do the homework (honor system). He has a great personality and truly cares about his students.

Professor Licht takes into consideration what people do and don't like about his lessons and tries to make it more enjoyable. Phones are allowed during class as is small eating / drinks. He gives breaks sometimes. Tests are stupid easy as long as you did the homework/notes. Homework helped me understand some things. (Homework can be long)

Prof Licht is wonderful and really cares if a student doesn't understand something. It's recommend to show up to class to see his lectures, but if you understand already its ok because everything is online, just make sure you keep before the class is over.

He gives lectures on the topics and gives you time in class for homework. He will even go around helping you if you need it. You can work ahead if you want as well. He's very nice and helpful that I'm taking him again next semester.

This prof is amazing. Professor Licht gives very clear notes, and if you have a question he will always answer. Notes from every class are uploaded to my labs plus. He also gives multiple choice tests. Also each homework assignment is opened until the day of the test for that chapter. Attendance is graded. No binder checks or quizzes either.

I took him for PreCalc&Trig. He has really good lectures. His notes are clear and very organized. He'll do many examples with you in class. It's a lot of homework because it's two classes in one but he always go through before he teaches the material. Will review the study guide with you and overall an easygoing teacher.

The fact that all class notes and test reviews were easily accessible and legible was much appreciated. Also, I truly benefited from his test reviews. I wish more teachers prepared you for test and exams the way David Licht did. The reviews where perfect representations of question formats and critical thinking processes needed to use to study.

He's a genuinely caring professor do not be afraid to reach out to him if you don't understand the material. You will not need the book, the study guides are very straight forward and will most likely resemble the test. He grades tests right away and will have it posted by the end of the day on MyLabsPlus, not Canvas. Take him you won't regret it!

Professor Licht is a wonderful teacher especially for Trigonometry! He does a great job of explaining how to find the correct answer, as well as multiple ways to do so. He goes over a study guide for tests so you know what to expect as well as how to approach each problem, so you get a good grade on the tests! He was one of my favorite professors.

Very clear of what is expected, as long as you show up to class and do the homework you will pass. I failed math 3 times before taking this course. When he grades tests in front of you, as long as he can see you tried he will give half credit even on an incorrect answer.

Prof. Licht was absolutely amazing! His lectures are great and he always makes sure everyone knows the material for the tests. He has study guides that have all of the test questions on them. His Trig mini semesters are great if you just need to knock the class off your list. Lots of homework, but this is a class where you want the extra practice.

Prof Licht was pretty good as far as math teachers go. He explains things thoroughly and will make time to break it down if someone isn't understanding something. He does have a tendency to meander off into personal stories, but they are usually short and entertaining.

Before this class, the only thing I knew about trigonometry was how to say the word! I'm currently halfway done with the course and starting on the pre-calc portion. As of now, I have a 98.9% and I attribute that largely to Mr. Licht's teaching style and also keeping up with the homework. Do your homework and study his reviews and you will do well.

Prof Licht has an extremely positive attitude which is proven to be contagious to the rest of the class, therefore creating a fun work environment. When class is in session, he constantly checks up on students to better their understanding on the topic, and grants each student the same opportunity in order for them to be successful in his class.

I took Internediate Algebra with Prof. Licht he made the course so much easier to understand. He gives instant feedback and develop each problem to its simplest form. Professor Licht is fair. I took him for summer and when you take a Trig class for summer, you know what you're signing up for. He doesn't want you to fail, he wants you to ask questions, and he cares about you learning and you experience with him as a professor. I was very afraid to take trig in the summer as a mini-term but if you study for at least an hour over the material after lecture and do the hw it will help you. His study guides are VERY helpful, use them to your benefit.

This is the second time I have taken Prof. Licht, it is also the 2nd time I have ever got an "A" in math. His class is not hard, it not easy, it's just right, he uses colors to depict different parts of problems; by doing this it helps students like myself who are mathematically inclined to grasp the subject. I took Mr. Licht in the Summer, and I would 100 percent recommend taking him only if you're willing to put in the effort. Keep up with the lectures, take notes, make sure you LEARN the unit circle, keep up with homework, don't skip class, and make sure to ask questions. Do these things and pass. He makes the class easy, fun, and also engaging.

Professor Licht is an excellent instructor. He not only explains how to formulas work, but he also explains how they were derived in the first place. He's an excellent math teacher. Amazing professor, I took him for Trigonometry over the Summer Mini-B. Although the class was fast pace he was great at explaining things and helping you if you needed anything. Very knowledgeable professor and would definitely take him again if he taught Calculus.

So far, this is one of my favorite math professors. He is very detailed when giving the class. If you ask questions, you will pass the class. Dont be afraid to ask, he will go through a problem that you dont understand, until you do. I would take him again if he were to teach any of my other math classes.

If you are the 5% of kids who never struggle in math don't take this course, lectures are the entire class and you will just have to sit there. For the other 95% Mr Licht is the absolute best math available here at FSW, besides being really good at explaining the material he takes his Time and shows respect to everyone. (Very helpful)

professor is so easy going and very helpful. can grab a sec after class or even during class break he'll do what he can to make sure you understand the material. the course is not a problem but with a few things here and there he'll break it down as much as possible and won't be irritated if you ask any questions. stay up to date with the hw's tho

I took Professor Licht for Spring 2019 and he was truly amazing. Math was always my weakest subject but he was able to explain it in a way that even I was able to understand. He really cares about his students and wants you to succeed. I ended up passing the class with an A thanks to him.

He will do everything to ensure that you pass his class and understands that not everyone is taking math because they like it! He truly is an amazing professor and a genius!!!

Professor Licht is THE professor to take for any math class. He is very patient. He will go over a problem as many times as you need until you understand it. He has a true passion for helping his students. MAC 1147 is a fast-paced course, but Professor Licht makes it a breeze. Pay attention in class and study his reviews. Wish he taught calculus.

The homework is a lot, but the assignments aren't due until the test dates. Attendance is mandatory, but he will excuse you if you're sick.

I never liked math but professor licht made the class enjoyable and it allowed me to understand the material fairly well. He is very nice and responds to emails quickly if you any questions regarding the course. He gives out study guides that tremendously helpful for the test. Also participation is part of your grade. One of the best professors I have ever had. For anyone who is unsure of anything, Prof. goes the extra step to draw out and re-explain every concept so you can always be aware of what to do. His class requires a lot of effort for average students like me, but the prof makes his class very do-able. He does everything he can to help you learn. 10/10

He's an AMAZING professor and he truly cares about every student, he even offered to help me with my car problems. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!! The class may seem long at times, but he enjoys when you respond verbally, talk with him, help each other, and he encourages you to let him know if he's going too fast or too slow. This professor should be everyone's first choice. He actually pays attention to his students and I could tell that he was continually evaluating and adjusting to us throughout the duration of the semester. As long as you're putting forth effort, he will go out of his way to help you. It was a lot of work, but that was expected of a 5 credit course.

Professor Licht is a teacher who cares deeply for his work and wants to help those who may have trouble in math. I did find his class to be easier than Algebra 2, but that may be because of the smaller leap between Algebra 2 and College Algebra compared to that of Geometry and Algebra 2.

Professor Licht is amazing. I took him for MAC1105 and am now taking him for MAC1147. If you are good at math, you don't have to pay attention, but if you aren't, Professor Licht is amazingly helpful. He's always there for his students and he's very understanding. The class uses Pearson's MyMathPlus, but supposedly it might not be used later.

An amazing teacher that clearly wants you to succeed and will absolutely help you in any way he can. All lectures are readily available online for review, due dates are lenient and grading is very fair. This is the first math class I've actually struggled with simply due to the amount of material yet it still felt completely doable with his help.

Professor Licht is super nice and passionate about his work. I enjoyed having him as a teacher if not the subject he teaches. Math has never been a strong point for me and this course was pretty fast paced. We used Mylabsplus for homework which I'm personally not a fan of but overall it wasn't bad and Prof. Licht does give chances for extra credit.

Professor Licht has been amazing so far for MAC1147. Since it's a 5 credit class, I was worried that lectures would get boring quickly (they are more than 2 hours long each, twice a week), but Professor Licht helped with that. He was very engaged with students and made questions based on us. He does randomly call on people to answer, so beware.

I took Professor Licht for Trigonometry. He is definitely my favorite professor at FSW! He wants you to really understand the math and will answer any questions you have. He loves math and teaching. Three tests and a final. Quite a bit of homework but it helps you prepare. We reviewed for the tests and final before we took them. Amazing professor!

Excellent professor. Very personable. There's a lot of work, but that's expected if you're taking a 5 credit math class. The lectures are good and Professor Licht is thorough and accommodating. Im not great at math but this is one of the best professors I have ever had. Hes fair when it comes to grading you still need to study but he gives great notes he also cares about his students and will do what he can to help you. Take him if you need a prof that will actually explain and not just go over the content like many out there .

Really cares about his students, doesn't expect you to be a genius, just wants you to leave the class knowing more than when you came into the class. About every two weeks you'll have a lot of assignments and a test due but if you work on the homework throughout the week and don't leave it till the last day you'll be completely fine.

As long as you attend the lectures and take notes, this class is very easy. After the lecture, you usually have homework with about 20-30 questions and maybe a quiz over multiple topics. You get infinite tries on these. Nothing special but an easy class and easy to get an A.

However he would always mark me absent when I was present which took a toll on my final grade. He is a bit fast faced paced and only had 4 tests counting the final. We also had assigned seats that I hated after awhile. Solid 7/10

This specific class had a lot of homework but if you keep up with it and do not let it pile up then it wont feel like a lot. There are four test and a final. Before each test we do reviews which are really similar to the test so the test shouldn't be too difficult. Professor Licht is an overall excellent professor and I recommend taking his class!

Mr. Licht is the BEST math professor at FSW. He explains everything so simply and is always open to questions. On the first day of class, he told us that we only needed to do three things to pass: attend class, do the homework and quizzes, and do the test reviews (which he does in class). He is also very flexible on due dates. Absolutely recommend!

I took Professor Licht for his combination College Algebra/PreCalc course. He's very charismatic, but his lectures are pretty fast-paced so it's important to pay attention. He was very understanding if you didn't get something right away and would pause lectures to help students out. I'm taking his Trig class in the spring and I recommend him!!

Professor Licht has been one of the greatest teachers I've ever had. The work can be fairly challenging but if you attend the in-person lectures he makes sure you know what you are doing. Had 3 tests. One of which was a take-home test. Then a final, which replaced the lowest test score.Typically the tests had extra credit and calculated could be used. Very easy and caring professor, with very understandable lectures, even if math is not your strong suit.

Great Professor had him for 1114 and 1140 at the same time. As long as you attend and pay attention you are pretty much guaranteed to do well. His lectures make things pretty simple. He will always help if you are struggling and is very understanding. His tests are similar to the homeworks and quizzes and he always does a review beforehand.

Best math professor in south west Florida, Including FGCU. Whatever effort you put towards the class he will match it and ensure that you are not falling behind and actually understand the math you are doing. I wish he taught past trig, we have begged him to teach calc 1 but sadly he refuses! Cant say enough good things about professor Licht.

Take notes and keep up with the homework and everything will be fine. Study guides are exactly what's on the test, taking him again next semester for trig.

Great Professor. Makes the class easy to understand and if you are having trouble, he is always in the best mood to help you out. His practice exams are very similar to the exam; study those and you'll pass every exam. He does call on everyone so you can't escape that, but if you don't know the answer he works it out with you which is very helpful.

He is the best profesor ever! I took him online , via zoom live, he does call on students to answer questions and follow along. The camera is suppose to be turned on all times. He explains things clearly and if you got a question or confused he will take his time to explain. The test were 9/10 the same as the test review just different numbers.

He's super sweet and mellow, but it's hard to understand at times. Show up to test reviews for extra credit, the review are very similar to the actual test with the exceptions of a few questions, maybe 2-3. He usually takes up the whole entire class which can be tiring, but overall he's the best bet for pre-calc, super understanding and caring.

I took the online class with zoom lectures. He will call on you to encourage participation and make sure you're understanding. Attendance highly encouraged with extra credit but you can always find the lecture notes on canvas. Homework is done using Pearson and you are given plenty of time to get it done. I hope to take more of his classes.

Literally sweetest teacher ever, he's so caring and kind. If you fail this class it's definitely on you cause we literally get extra credit for attending review sessions, and the review is almost identical to the test with different numbers, he super understanding so if you need help go to his office hours and you should be fine, SOOO NICE.

At the minimum he is one of the best professors I have ever had. He gives a lot of care and dedication to his work as a professor, and it shows. As a non English speaker and a student origin from a different country professor Licht treated me as equal and on the same time put emphasis on my special needs. Professor Licht is a great Math Professor, his class was very easy to understand and pass with an A. His test reviews are extremely helpful and cover all the topics on the tests. David Licht was one of the best math professors I have ever taken. He will answer any questions during the class and is always very excited and happy. All the tests for the class are multiple-choice, and he posts a review before them. Quizzes are taken at home, and you can retake them an infinite number of times. Best proffesor I have had at FSW. His lectures are very easy to understand, and he will happily answer any questions you may have. He values your time and understands that we have lives outside of school. He also replies to emails surprisingly fast compared to other professors. Take his class you will not regret it.

Show up to class, do test reviews and you should pass this class easily. Prof Licht is so laid back and he's super nice, he makes lecture very engaging by asking everyone questions, this course was a breeeeze. My only concern is that he doesn't teach calculus :(((

Prt 1. As someone who struggles in mathematics, as long as you study the study guides and understand their concepts, you should pass the exams as easily as pie. The homework he uses is indeed Mylab, but he doesn't base off the math exams with Mylab (bc Mylab makes concepts more unnecessarily hard). His lectures are a good, slow pace to learn.

Prt 2. His Mylabs due dates are super manageable. There are no "pop quizzes" but he likes to call on ppl to help him to solve the problem. If you don't know, just say so, he's super nice and helps you. Overall, he is a very wise and kind professor who has a grandfather aura to him.

I had a great time taking pre-calculus with Professor Licht during the fall semester. Complex topics were much easier to understand because the lectures were clear and informative. All in all, it was a fruitful educational experience, and I heartily recommend this instructor to any student enrolled in a mathematics course.

Quite literally, one of the only teachers to ever make me happy to be in a classroom knowing math is going to be the topic of discussion. He is SO sweet with his Wisconsin accent and can be very "old school" with how he treats you. It is like talking to your grandfather with no judgment, just space to understand the concepts.

He's really really good about having a no judgement atmosphere, homework assignments are due day of the test, "i don't know" is an accepted answer during lectures. He uploads the class notes as well so if you miss a day, you can still check it. Genuinely wants people to understand the topic.

This is definitely one of the best professors I've had. He's very sweet to each and everyone of his students. He's also great at teaching. Make sure to be present in zoom class or it'll count against your grade. In zoom class he will call on you to answer questions to problems, so if u don't like talking I don't recommend this class.

Probably the best professor I've had! He goes through lectures step by step along with you and thoroughly explains problems. Students must participate as he calls on people randomly, but he helps you understand. Sweetest and most in shape yapping old man I've ever met!

Super nice guy, although it is hard to hear him at times and the lectures are okay but the reviews for the test are VERY good and the same as the tests he also posts all of his notes that he does in canvas and does give a lot of homework. He is a very nice man that tries his best to help students and this class should be a free A maybe a B

Professor Licht is one of, if not the best, math professors at FSW. His class was super easy to follow, his lectures are very engaging and very beneficial, and he uploads notes after class in case you miss a day. There are also study guides for exams, which are extremely beneficial. He is very caring, you'll feel at home during office hours.

He is one of the best professors I have ever had. He is easy to understand and explains the lessons well.

Professor Licht is amazing! He always gives us a filled-in test review, and his tests are very similar to that. Just remember to do your homework. I like to do it right after class, so it helps me remember the material. Remember to take notes, and you will be just fine. Licht is very friendly, and he is also available outside of class via email.

Professor Licht is my favorite math prof!! He explains the course material in the exact way he tests, and makes everything very straightforward. All his tests are done on laptop and he does test reviews the class before-it makes getting an A very easy. He also makes an effort to help and get to know students, which is really nice.

Professor Licht expects you to show up to class which I personally struggle with, however as long as you do the homework and show up MOST of the time, or at least for tests, it's pretty easy going.

Professor Licht is the best professor in FSW. One of the nicest professors and his class is pretty easy as well. His test reviews are very helpful and easy to understand. If you do the homework and study the review before the exams, you should do well in this class.

David Licht is an amazing ray of sunshine. I had him for his combine college algebra and pre-calc and for trig and he was exceptional. He goes through his material concisely and his reviews are identical to the tests. He is a very sweet soul and it was a pleasure taking his classes. Bless yourselves by taking his classes.

One of the best professors I've ever had. Can't think of a single complaint, probably because he is of the most engaging and often explains concepts in full detail making it easy to understand. He calls on students to answer, and if they don't know, he'll explain it further to make sure everyone understands and tests are very similar to reviews.
