he's really nice, his exams are from the notes, the text book is for reference.

This guy thinks he is a GOD he failed a bunch of people and gave like 20 D's in a class of 60?? it isnt the students its the teacher!!!
for mkt 3000 this guys is a piece of cake.
lectures are from powerpoint; fair grader & often curves exams; textbook is used as a reference; very pleasant and outgoing professor
he gives major curves on all his tests. i think its cuz he wants the students to recommend him to their friends. he is very into himself and asks you to take evaluations of him made by him. he is easy if you just come to class and read the ppt notes.
EASY!! His test are really easy as long as you know the definitions to the vocabulary words. He give extra points how how well the discussion goes when he goes over the test, which is a really good thing. Attd. doesn't really count and he is a nice guy.
Tests are easy, based on lecture notes and vocab found in chapters. Gives great curves based on class disscussions when he goes over the test (so be in class on that day). Fun class. I got an A
attend class/read the book and you will get an A!!! not a hard professor!
Firm but fair this guy wants you to learn the material and create a new career option by lerning about B2B.
He's really a great guy. Wants us to learn and absorb this material. Truly cares about his students. Tough exams, but fair. Have to study! And please, humor him sometimes and laugh at his jokes..they aren't all bad!
You can tell he cares about students and puts in a lot of effort-he is constantly asking us about things he should improve on. But, his effort doesn't translate into his teaching methods. Presentations are unorganized/unclear/boring and he is too informal. His course can be dull and info-intense.
He is very boring and his presentations are very disorganized. He always asking how to improve, but I haven't seen any differences. This is a class that you basically teach yourself by reading the book. The only good thing about this class is that his tests are easy.
He is actually very interesting & interested in his subject matter & well organized as well. Take this course if you want to learn but be prepared to work. BTW, his tests are actually pretty hard but he gives points so it's fair. Overall, hard to find such a good professor.
Terrible class. Prof. lectures on something absolutely not related to material in the textbook, although he makes you memorize literally every word in it and tests you on that. His tests are unfairly tricky and sometimes he doesn't know the answer himself. Very incompetent prof.A lot of ppl fail.
The class was a lot harder then I expected it to be
hes a great prof; into his teaching. i enjoyed it and learned a lot too. the class not easy but he gives points and drop the lowest grade.
I don't know what other people are talking about.. This was one of the easiest classes ever. All Mult. choice questions -just rely on the textbk. Drops the lowest grade and adds a dozen extra points to all tests! damn easy!!
Take him! Classy guy with a big vocabulary. I learned alot of business terms i use. AND I GOT AN A.
Didn't like his teaching stlye-he would change around slides, think out loud & ask if we like how he's teaching -which made some think he is not a credible prof. But actually he is very smart & enjoys teaching. Course won't be too hard if you focus on the text. Course is very vocabulary/def. -based
Nice man, good class and you can get an A - I did. Take him!
though his class would be easy. But his test is hard and TRICKY. The whole class didn;t do well. Really, his test is tricky. YOu need to look and read it very carefully. thinking of dropping his class because his test is not straight forward. He plays tricks on the test,(the most...the least..
dont know what the #(*$#@ below is saying since we only found out THIS WEEK many people got B's and A's; the test was fair to tell the truth; hes warm and cares, I am learning a lot of valuable stuff
If you want to lerarn about B2B, take this professor for this class
i have a job in b2b and i must say this course has helped alot - TAKE HIM!
Great prof, into his teaching. I learned a lot.
he's interesting and you'll learn alot; fair grader too - you can get an A and increase your marketing vocabulary becasue he does not know any words with less than three syllables
Great professor, very helpfull and clear. Knows the subject and brings it to class with interest along with his personal exerience in marketing. Uses sense of humor to make the class fun. if you read the book the tests will be easy, A guaranteed.
Prof L is one of my favorite Profs at Baruch. He is a fair grader too.
class was interesting, and he is FAIR, great even if it is not you major
mind numbing material but he gives easy tests. classes were very boring and he makes attendance mandatory. i would not take him if marketing is your major just because of how boring it is, but if you have to take it as a prerequisite, then i recommend him.
he's a great prof. & a nice man too - i'm learning a lot;he speaks fluent American so your business vocabulary will definitely go up - take him!
i already work in b2b, this prof definitely knows his stuff, he's evangelical about teh subject actually, fair freindly class too!
i'm graduating, the course is GREAT for your senior yr cause the vocabulary / career tips are worth it - Prof L is a very nice man, he'll help you with interviewing questions - take him!
Great professor, eloquent and articular. Fairly easy tests if you study (multiple choice) and he gives lots of extra points. Brings in a lot of professional experience and tries to give career tips. One of the best professors in Baruch, althouth the subject of B2B marketing is pretty boring. He tries to make it more interesting. Mandatory attendanc
he's a great guy, very interesting, often funny and grades fairly, MY mAjor is MGMT,this course gaves me great exposure to various industries not talked about in other courses - DEFINITELY take him!
Oh My God! can it get more boring. He is a great guy but his lecturers are very boring. He is also funny, but I think if his lectures were more interactive and energetic it would make a big difference. If you don't have hard time concentrating in the classes take him because you will learn a lot.
Apostolic lectures, if you can keep pace - he knows a lot about B2B and, shares it. Tests fair and, he does add points. Looking back it was actually a great elective.
He is a nice guy and all but when it comes to his lectures, they are not interactive and boring. His class puts the majority of the class asleep. The good thing about him is that he curves the tests and he NEVER takes attendance, maybe that's why only like 20 people out of a class of 70 show up...
got a job FINALLY and it is in B2B, Prof L you da man
interesting and interested, he gives it over with insight, anecdotal remarks often worth more than the well organized lectures, he's the genuine article
he's a great prof, attendance is back but he can be very interesting, he still give points for going over the tests and if he lost some weight he might even get a hot pepper before he retires!
The most boring class I've ever taken. He reads the entire lecture of his pp slides. Very difficult not to fall a sleep. You have to read the book very carefully to do good on the exams. Not that difficult, but extremely BORING.
Great prof who offers a lot. If you do the work, you get the grade - not easy but definitely fair.
This man should not be teaching. He handled an out of commission classroom and some very out of line students with diplomacy. the rest that is good has been said. TAKE HIM !
Great class, crummy classroom. You will get what you put into this course. He offers a lot and I just got a job in B2B.
Fair, friendly - the fools below played wrong. You'll do well with Prof L.
reads of powerpoint slides, kind of rude to students, thinks he is funny and ohhh soooo sooo smart. I am bored to tears in this class. Marketing could be so much fun but with him its just blah blahhhh let me read the slides....then test u on the smallest most meaningless things in the book and slides. he almost killed marketing for me. tricky tests
Excellent professor. 4 tests, no group work, no papers, bring in guest speaker. Generous curves. If you study from the book, review the powerpoint slides, and keep up your attendance, you will do well.
astute, agreeable and an 'A' attainable kinda prof
Prof is pretty good. Can be boring sometimes but he gave us big curves on tests even if we didnt need it. extra points on avg for coming to all or most classes. tests were a bit tricky. questions sometimes stupid because its about the littlest things in the book so read the book! in addition to curves there are extra credit Qs on test almost easy A
4 tests, no group work, no papers, bring in guest speaker.i would say he is really hard on b2b marketing but easy on 3000 level. the point is to study bold term on textbook and take down notes on example for what he gives in class. normally 6-8 points curve per test
Hes easy but has an attitude!Hes hot and cold. Nice one minute, and plain rude the next!
Treats students fair and consistent, generous on grading. Ignore the "Baruch Babies" below. Baruch assigns at least one baby to every class.
He's alright. The test is based on the lecture and the textbook. Be sure to study even the italicized words. Sometimes he has questions that come out of nowhere or questions that are open to interpretation, but he adds 3 points for perfect attendance and at least 6 points to each test. So expect your test average to go up by 10 points.
A man who calculates his many words and responses, some confuse his kindness, even generous nature with weakness - au contrare. I would not provoke him into being my workplace enemy. He is persistent in most matters. Grading is therefore rationale, classtime surely worth your time.
Waste of time and money! We spend more time "praising him" than going over his slides! Very boring subject and useless. No different or novel from any other marketing class!
He gives great examples including how B2B applies to your own professional life with surprisingly accuracy. Got our grades on 5/26 so below unhappy maybe jealous of those of us who did well. He should be praised for he helps students by how he teaches.
He is a great prof. And he cares about students.
Well spoken, well mannered and well worht your time!
Prof L is just great. Btob harder than intro. Firm but fair and kinda cute for a man his age!
He is a great class leader. Show how marketing applies to my life and career. He's very perceptive AND NICE LOOKING TOO!
This guy shows whre marketing is in your professional and personal life. You never go shopping or to work again without thinking things he taught. Prof L give back your test scores and reviews promptly. We got one test back on 10/5 below for example. So you know what that is!
Although I give him credit for trying, he's a terrible bore. The only good thing about this class is that he brings in some interesting speakers. Have someone sign you in and just read the textbook by yourself at home. There are 4 tests, 22.5% each. Attendance is 10%. If you argue the questions during the test review, he will give extra points.
I took him for both. B2B harder cause most of us do not have exposure to the ingredients makers. If you want to explore this topic he is definitely your maN. Grading fair but he can be testy about your classroom manners. HE IS THE REAL THING!
I had a good experience with Prof L. Even though it turns out I remain interested in womens apparrel retail. At least now I will understand those buyers and textile mills a little better! YOu learn a lot of valuable stuff about other industries and how business creates stuff that you won't hear about anywhere else at Baruch!
He's the real deal. Tests fair if you do the work. Read the book, come to class and you sail through - I'd say easy B + even -A and I am learning a lot of great things I never knew. He can be engaging if you speak American and can grasp subtleties! Otherwise you may be lost.
Hes very funny and knows what hes talking about. You're going to learn alot in this class. He's tests are straight forward just read the textbook and glace at the slides. He even adds points if he thought the questions was tricky. Take him!!!
I would say that he could do better. Skips a lot of topics, rushes every chapter (like 5 chapters per 2 weeks). Always say "you're laughing, but its true". His exams are only tricky because its not up to date and the choices could be 50/50. Good thing about this class is the slightly curves per exam. I don't think you can get below a B- if you read
I would say students could listen better. Prof L is painfuly clear why some topics are discusssed in class and others are not. I now know what marekting is and how to use marketing concepts going forward. IF you have trouble following instructions / listening in class take someone else who tells you only what is on the test and does not profess.
Good professor, very clear and sometimes awkwardly funny. 4 exams (40-50 questions each) so good idea to be on top of this class. Word of advice, don't get to close to him or he'll demand personal space -.-
Would not recommend. Test can be tricky, but not impossible. Lectures are incredibly boring.
Good professor. He seems very knowledgeable although his examples of marketing office forms seem a little dated. His tests were a little tricky but he gives enough extra points to bring you up almost a full letter grade so it's hard to complain.
You will need to read and listen well - trust me. Tricks on his tests study for them. There is a relationship to text and BB lectures. He goes over all tests gives points based on class discussion. Its actually great. You learn even more - now that is the real trick! If you do not listen well or read you will have trouble.
He is just plain cool but in a subtle way. Very authentic person, just read the book adn follow BB lectures you will be fine. Very fair and very rare.
He gave crazy amount of extra points for each exam we took. And during the final exam we took there was an error on the exam paper which actually showed the answers for one whole pg.He ignored that fact and even gave us extra points too plus the free points on the exam paper Overall very lucky to take him this semester since the "curves" were crazy
Great professor, definitely recommend him! He is a very nice guy, pretty funny even if we don't laugh. Pretty knowledgeable about the subject with the work experience to match. Some lessons are a bit dated (doesn't know much about the computer/Internet).4 multiple choice tests, 50q's each and gives added points after we review the exams in class.
Prof L is a good professor. I actually learned something from this class. The exams are average, you need to really understand the concepts to do well. Overall I really did enjoy the class and make sure when you review the tests that you state a good argument!
Believes in his subject matter. Test reviews / points a solid plus everyone professwor should do. No curves.
smart, intelligent and very enjoyable class. study for the exams and pay attention to the lectures and just sit back and enjoy his class. Hard to find such a knowledgeable Prof.
He is ridiculous. do not take his class! his class starts at 7:50am and if you come a little bit later than that time, you are absent! he doesnt take lateness whatsoever . and he is going to take 1point off of your final grade for every absence or lateness you make. he is definitely ruining everyones life for being so stuborn w attendance...
Waking up to him . . . not bad at all, a truly kind strong man who shares his enjoyment and insights about this subject and more with you. I SHOW UP ONTIME causes he's worth it, and frankly he is somewhat slack about pulling the attendance sheet IMHO and I actually resent that!
Overall he's a good professor. He uses real life examples when he explains a concept. Gives extra credits point which helps alot. Dont treat his class like a joke
Great guy! although his sense of humor is a bit bland, he likes what he teaches, i can tell, 4 exams, all multiple choice based on his notes and lecture, they are evenly distributed and your grade will come from that. and lots of extra points!
Great Professor! All exams are multiple choice, not easy. If you listen, make notes and read book, you will be fine. He gives a lot of information outside marketing, how to manage conflicts and get a job. Happy I took his class. Good luck.
I am not a Marketing Major but this professor made me very interested in the field. He is well versed and knows marketing too easily. Be a proper student and listen to him. Show respect. His lectures are all PPT. You may watch a video or two. Exams are not cumulative and he gave extra points. He prefers answering questions during class, not after.
Make sure you take good notes in class, write down his examples, and skim the textbook before exams. Exams are all multiple choice, but they can get pretty difficult. After each exam, he'll give back up to 10 points on each exam for questions that were unclear. He does a good job teaching the basic marketing course at Baruch.
Prof L gives reliable ppt notes you can supplement. Know textbook content before exams which are multiple choice with mostly clear answers. Test review can reveal test taking errors and then gives extra points. He does a very good job teaching the intro marketing class.
The class is pretty straightforward as noted on the syllabus. 3 exams and a final. The professor knows his materials, but he is somewhat rude as times. The exams are tricky AF, the way he words the questions are really confusing sometimes. Overall, he is an excellent professor, but I would not take him again.
Its a class based on definitions. All you have to do is study the terminology in the book and you will be fine. Its an intro marketing class and it was not hard what so ever. People saying his tests are tricky did not study.
I don't recommend this professor. Comes of angry and RUDE. The tests were harder then they needed to be he puts information he wouldn't even lecture on in class. ( last 3 chapters he gave on the final exam he did not lecture on it)
Started out the semester crying, ended with an A. Read every chapter in the textbook and practice using online test banks. There's no homework, just 4 tests so it's very important that you understand every concept in the textbook.
Prof L glad to see us reminding to vote for ourselves using marketing concepts and career tips. I found his lectures accessible to my work and other life experiences helping me to see how marketing applies everywhere. Tests very fair even fun ? Consistently classy guy while handling chronically immature students who were just plain rude.
The test he gives is very hard and expects you to think like him to pass the test. That means, not only you have to know everything from the textbook, you have to think in his way to nail the test.
He is an experienced professor and gives really good examples when he teaches the course. However, he is unorganized and sometimes arrogant. He will take attendance before and after break. There are 4 tests all 23.75% plus 5% research pool. Tests are tricky, but he gives 8-10 extra points for each test. Overall you can take an A without much effort
He is a great guy, yes u need to study , he takes attendance before n after the brake ... the class was easy just read the book u dont need to memorize everything just read n u will be fine.
Easy A, a lot of extra points. Professor is very knowledgeable, but he is rude to his students most of the times. If you have a question, it is better to not ask, because he will probably be rude to you and will not give you an answer anyway. But, it is not a hard class, and professor is nice in giving the curve of 10 points for each test.
He is a professor that you would take if you just want to get over with this course but not if you want to learn more than just general concepts. He doesn't reply students' emails, rude to students, and not approachable. Even when you want to talk to him, he tries to finish within 30 second. He often spend a lot of time mentioning the old days.
This is comfortable class, if you really pay attention on his lectures, Prof David sharing a lot useful information . For those who say he is rude, ask yourself hows your behavior in class, chatting, surfing, and asking nonsense questions in class deserve be treated politely?
The lecutures are extremely boring and long. He basically reads the powerpoints and expects you know 6 chapters on each test. TOO much information to memorize for only 50 questions!!! He is very demanding and rude to students when you ask questions. He dosen't care if you come to class. 3 hour lecutures on sundays is not worth it.
He is very straight forward and expects you to know ALL 6 chapters on each exam. 3 exams and a cumultive final. Exams are very tricky. 50 MC questions and a mandatory research pool for 10% of your grade. Exams are worth 95% of your grade!!! For a basic marketing course he is not inspirational and he will embarass you in front of the class.
I enjoyed his class. He ended up making our final not cumulative which helped a lot. His tests were fair, just go over the ppt a few times. Explains concepts really well. Would take him again if I had the chance.
I am currently taking his MKT 3000 course on Sundays and I can say its very difficult to get an A. His lectures are very boring. powerpoints slides are on blackboard. The research pool is only 5%. Exams are 95%. I would avoid this professor if you want a good GPA. If not, be prepare to study and memorize a lot of term.
His syllabus isn't too bad (4 test and a market pool). Just read the textbook and review the slides and you should be fine. If you want to be respected as a student though, take another class. He's extremely rude and gets easily offended. I can't stress that enough. I've seen him kick people out over simple marketing questions. Good luck!
Looking back on the lectures and exams for this class, I can't say I learned very much about marketing. The professor says the questions aren't tricky, and yes, he is right they are not ticky, just plain confusing. It's annoying when the questions are set up in a way to confuse the students rather than actually LEARN the material. DO NOT TAKE!
I studied many hours, read the book, made good notes using book, exams are tricky. Although, I put effort My grade was between 60-80% i could not get more. I felt prepared for exams but I still could not get good grade. It have never happened before, when I prepared I always got min B. He is sarcastic, he focuses his attention even you are serious.
I know a lot of people do not like prof. Lichtenthal and I get why. Sometimes I feel like he is more like a kid genius who came to teach with an attitude and got pissed off easily when we can't think like him. I still love him though, the videos he showed in class was very inspirational along with the life tips he gave.
Horrible. 60% questions on exam are straight defintions(everyone gets right) the other 40% are completely random. He makes them so you have to think like him to get the questions right. Only 50% of students showed up to class entire semester, and some did better than me when I showed up all semester. Literally luck on The last 40% of MC exams.
I only showed up to this class 4 times the entire semester for each exam date. There are 4 exams. All you have to do is study the end of the chapter "key terms"- and regurgitate it onto the exam. Classes like these piss me off cause it was completely pointless. Waste of money. I learned nothing, and got an A-. Already forgotten 100% of what i memor
I took the hybrid class and it was very easy. 3 exams online in class, each being only 15%!! 6-7 simple assignments were 35%. The class was very easy, almost too easy, but if youre looking for an A go with him!
BEWARE!! UNPROFESSIONAL & RIDICULOUSLY RUDE! TOTAL NIGHTMARE! I emailed him, asking about the syllabus, to which he said look at the syllabus... So in class I asked him to clarify but he refused, threw a fit saying he answered it alrdy & said it was irrelevant to other students. Then mocked & purposely embarrassed me in front of the entire class!
Horrible professor, he marked me absent for a class and I emailed him and he said that I didn't sign next to my name... but he will adjust it. 2 weeks went by and I check my attendance and he didn't update anything so I emailed him again and he said it is updated and that I DID NOT sign... He is very RUDE and doesn't care about this students.
Honestly, easy A but won't be able to learn anything.
Really did not seem like this guy cared at all. Did not even bother to teach and just sent 1 email before the class starts every week. Complete waste of time and money. Do not take this guy.
Doesn't teach via zoom or upload pre-recorded lectures, he just posts the slides for each chapter and then asks you to do some mylab assignments during class hours (you have about a 5 hr window to complete it). He is extremely accessible outside of class-he answered all of my emails within 10 minutes. 2 tests, homework every week and SONA req.
A solid choice for marketing. Perhaps one of the easier ones too. All you need to do are simple assignments online. Never interacted with him as there were no zoom classes. No unnecessary group projects unlike other marketing classes. Getting an A is pretty achievable.
Honestly never met this guy as there were no class sessions held, so I could not really judge his character. Otherwise the assignments he posts on Pearson are pretty easy, just do most of them along with the 3 TB exams which range from 50-100 questions long, and you will get an A. One nice thing is no group projects unlike other marketing classes.
Take for easy A but you will learn absolutely nothing
One of the easier marketing professors at Baruch. No lectures or meetings held, all you need to do are short assignments on Pearson on the day of class. Exams are long, although passable with a fairly high grade if you take advantage of online resources. No group projects.
A attainable kind of guy. Excellent SONA instructions, and answered my emails immediately. Three tests at 10 percent of grade and 40 assignments taking around an hour. He is organized and apparently knows how to select clear error free publisher stuff. Could finally see subject in shopping and employment.
Very easy class. Once a week you will: read a chapter, answer a Dynamic Study Module (graded by completion), watch a video, and answer five questions (graded by correctness). I highly recommend his class!
TAKE HIM!! Couple pearson assignments due at the day and time of class(quizlet). 3 super easy exams (quizlet as well). Sona requirements which is also easy. that is literally all. no zoom meetings.
He is one of the easier professors to take. A couple of asynchronous assignments per week.
Text plus slides made for enjoyable work. Asynchronous synchronous components. Pandemic friendly pacing too. The rest already said, though NOT easy IMHO unless you skipped the reading. You get what you put in like most classes. Don't putz!
Do not take this class unless you have no problems waking up before 11am on Sunday to do hw that was assigned at 9am the same day. Same with class work during class time. Beware.
Assignments relate to topic of week. He gives a wide bandwidth to complete the work. Some Wednesday during AM class time, the rest any time over entire weekend. If you read, and somewhat disciplined you will not be dissappinted.
Weekly assignments had a good amount of work to keep us engaged, while learning a lot. The grading scheme complicated but compensatory. I liked that this course was designed to make me succeed and learn a lot. I am very glad to have taken MKT 3000 with Professor Lichtenthal because he made this learning experience a great one.
Not much to say other than he doesn't teach much, just makes you look over the textbook. He's available by email but mostly communicates with you to tell you what chapters are to be gone over. Asynchronous work on Connect, with the due date of the work the same day. Just be sure to read the textbook, don't fall behind and you'll pass.
My course was fully online but I did lean a lot about marketing. Homework is due during class time through Pearson, 3 exams in total, and Sona research that's it. He looks and responds at your emails quickly. He is funny and caring. Take him!
I never really went to his class, he said he cared about attendance but doesn't. Each week you have two assignments that are posted the day before it's due and it's due the next day at 12pm. He is strict about this. Other than that there is SONA and three exams (worth 30% total), which are pretty easy themselves.
Class was in-person but most people stopped showing up after the first couple weeks. 3 exams, 10 points each exam, in-person but class can probably pressure him into making it online. No group project. 1 chapter on Pearson each week that he only makes available 24 hours before due date. 10 points of extra credit: SONA + 4 extra Pearson chapter
Super easy class. It's in person but attendance isn't mandatory except for the first few weeks. All homework and exams are online, answers are online as well. No group project/presentation. SONA survey. Straight A but I never listened to his lecture.
Speaks fluent American. Navigates the farsical blandsape, onset now BlightSpace Mania. Clearly knows how to avoid pitfalls grasp opportunity, home before rush hour, that he published about years ago. He enjoys speaking with us about marketing and more.
Professor doesn't teach much, just assigns textbook readings. Assignments are mostly online, with tight deadlines. Use resources like unstuck study to stay on top of the work and you'll likely do well.
This professor should have a 5/5 review. Even though his class was scheduled for once a week, his attendance isn't mandatory so after going to the first two classes, I stopped going. His homework is given every week which can be done under 30 mins with the help of his lecture slides. EASY A DEFINITELY TAKE HIM if you're looking for easy.
Easy A, definitely recommend taking this professor
EZ A. HE IS GOATED
Lichy is a real g no bap
Easiest A of my life, he does not take attendance, everything is online. HW due weekly on Pearson takes about 30 minutes to do, Midterms and Final was on Pearson and were easy. His emails are kind of weird but he has a good heart, and wants his students to succeed and you can see it by his class structure.
Prof. Lichtenthal explains concepts in an engaging and simplistic manner. Attendance is not mandatory so many don't attend, but you could learn a lot if you do. He has a good sense of humor but his email humor is weird, definitely better in person. The class is graded on homework and exams. Exams are online and similar to homework questions.
Ez A, just take it. 3 online exams that are quick to complete. Attendance not required and many people did not show up. I didn't attend some classes and did just fine as it is.
Lichy a young man no bap
Didn't post the syllabus, just hid it in 2 of his mid-semester emails. Said “Don't know” when asked about attendance. I only went to the first class and never went back, since the first one felt so off. HW and exams had 2-day notice but he sent indecipherable emails every Saturday. The below review's from someone bored asf.
