Dr. Leibert knows his stuff. It's true you don't need to buy a book, he gives you all your notes in class. The paper is not hard if you don't try and write it the night before. I have taken him for three classes. Getting an A is NOT that difficult.

His class is difficult but he is a funny guy. He has everyone in class cracking up! Be prepared to work and don't procrastinate and you'll do fine.

He is a very interesting teacher. And the material isn't that hard. I've never studied for an exam and got a low C on my paper and I'll still get a B. He is also nice to talk to.

He is a great teacher. Everything on the test is what he goes over in class. He even puts the outline and some practice test on his site which helps a great deal. I enjoyed his class but i was horrified about doing the paper which i got a A on.

Very Easy teacher. Purchase the outline but not the text. He will never test on something he doesn't talk about in class so theres no need for the text. Take good notes and its an easy A

I love this guy. Some people think he is a little boring but he loves his job. The tests are so easy, and the reviews are exactly what's on the test. If you want to major in Psych. please take him...you will learn it for life.

Dr. Libert you couldnt ask for a better professor than him to teach psych or sociology, yes he can be unclear at times and if you dont put the effort in, you will not pass. I think everyone has had the Doc before. He's a very good test writer. I never found a single unfair or misleading question. His humor is dry, clever, and intellectual. I found him very amusing but others just didn't "get it" sometimes. He's passionate about the subject and the papers were easy.

Anyone who says they couldn't pass this class is lying. If you come to class then you will pass. The class is very interesting and I enjoyed the way Liebert taught the class.

Amazing at lecturing and makes learning the info. easy by bringing it into terms we can understand. All you need to do is attend class, take notes and enjoy. Just get the study guide, it all comes from there. He is a brilliant and extremely intelligent individual. I love hearing him lecture. Easy A!

Awesome instructor!!! Gives fair tests however paying attention is crutial! It helps to be interested in the subject material. If you are NOT interested in Abnormal Psych then I strongly urge you to NOT take the class. He is a helpful & wonderfully useful mentor. If you love psych, Dave is your man!

he is a good professor. he just rambles alot sometimes. you have to momorize alot for the tests but if you just read the suppliment you should be fine. dont buy the book its a waste of money. its kind of a boring class but everyone should get though it. have fun!!!

I like the Doc very much. I learned something new and relative everyday in his class. Take notes + study notes = get A on test. Start the paper early + visit the Doc to go over paper before due date (follow advice)= get A on paper!

Before going into it I heard horror stories of this class.ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW:read the entire chapter outline in the 99 cent paperback book you buy,&make flash cards with the questions and answers from the sample quiz's for each section.I PROMISE if you memorise your flashcards you will get an A! I loved this class, he makes the tests so easy, as long as you are there for every class you can't fail. He even drops a test so if you do well from the beginning you don't even have to take the last test. The research paper was about the worst part, but he gives lots of assistance if you request it. I will definitely take him again.

Dr. Liebert just might be the smartest man on campus. He has a wealth of specific and general knowledge. Pay attention and come to class ON TIME! you will miss valuable test info if you come late.he is fair but firm and don't goof off. He is professional and won't call you out, but he knows the screw ups. After 20 year layoff, returned to get an A!

Dr. Liebert is always very interesting and very upbeat (which is helpful when taking a later class). I would deff. take another class of his.

Definitely the best professor on the Tarpon campus. Had him for 3 classes total, and he's very approachable, willing to answer questions and listen to students opinions. Probably the only reason I would take another class at Tarpon would be to take another one of his classes.

HIs lectures are interesting, answers all the questions. His test are easy, as he gives you 4 essay questions a week before the exam, and includes 2 of them in the test+ definitions from 2 or 3 chapters ( he tells you what exactly chapters). Very easy professor!

I thought this class was kind of boring. I was expecting more interesting topics. There are 4 exams and he drops the lowest one. He collects one random assignment out of like 5 on each exam day and thats it for graded assignments. Easy A. The only thing that annoyed me about the teacher was he said "UMMMM" ALOT through out his lectures.

I found this class to be easy. He will email you the test (4 or 5 a semester)and then go over them in class. You write a little essay on each test question so as long as you show you know the answer you get the question correct. Looking back it was a lot of writing, but it is an interesting class so it was not that bad.

He was a great teacher! all his stories were interesting. he can get a little moody. you can pass all the tests by just listening to lecture. the stories are interesting enought that you remember them and pass the tests.

I am very pleased with this teacher. He made the topic interesting and he drops the worst graded test, which saved me. Is very empathetic w/students going through difficult personal issues and will help them get through the class. Just show up and take notes, study and you will bet a a-b. If i have to take another psy class, it will be w/him.

prof liebert is the best! he is soo funny and makes the class really interesting. take notes, read the chapter and youll be fine. the only grades for the class are essay exams, but there are no surprises.. as long as you study youll get a good grade. hes very helpful and cares a lot about his students. if i have to take more psy theyll be with him.

Professor Liebert makes every lecture interesting. I loved every minute of class. There are 4 essay exams throughout the semester; no other assignments. If you take all the notes in class and read the chapter, you should do fine on the tests. Would definetally take this professor again.

He's a great professor and knows his stuff. BE AWARE: you take your own notes on what you think he says is important, only sometimes does he say "this is important." A word of advice, don't miss his class if you can help it, you are constantly taking notes. If you have a laptop, bring it in. You'll probably end up saving a bajillion trees.

He is the head of the Social Science dept, so he's challenging. Very interesting class. He's passionate about the subject and you will learn! He takes the best 3 of 4 written exams. He expects a lot, so he grades difficult. Only a couple people in the class got an A. Study your notes. I passed with a B.

he is SO passionate about psy and he has a sense of humor esp about dr. phil! i only used the txt book if i missed a class otherwise his notes/PP cover everything. he does drop the lowest score but doesnt like texting and ppl who are LATE! attendance is a MUST in his class.

He is really cool and funny and as long as you take notes and LISTEN you will do fine! He doesn't give A's easily, though, you do have to earn them. He only gives written exams, which are awesome, but you can't BS them or he'll know;)

Dr. Liebert is a very down-to- Earth professor. I passed with a C, but it was mostly due to his essay exams. His exams are all essay format, but he gives you a great deal of info and even the questions that will be asked. His stories are interesting and is kind and respectful. Just be sure to answer the questions he sends you through e-mail.

Top notch professor who knows his subject. Had him for Marriage & Fam. There's no homework which is awesome, only 5 exams, one of which is optional. Didn't use textbook at all, don't bother purchasing it. He gives you the exam questions ahead of time, of which he'll pick 3 out of 6. Very competent and highly recommended.

The best professor on the campus. Listen and take notes. His test are easy multiple choice and the essay test needs to be top notching no bsing Key terms and very professor wording will get you an A. Read his book he wrote Its great. I wish I could take him everyday. I love listening to him. Good luck.

Very interesting content. The book helps, but he tests on lecture, so take good notes. The most recent poor grades clearly didn't pay attention in the first class where he made his grading and requirements clear.

One of the best teachers I've had. The class is lecture-based but he does so in a way that kept me interested and focused. He is a bit of a tough grader when it comes to essays and challenges you to do your best work. He's very nice and has a good sense of humor. I loved this class and would take it again.

Brilliant guy. He gives great examples during his lecturers that will help you on the exam. Take notes while he talks. You do not need to read the readings he posts. He gives you practice tests before the exam and provides you with notes. He has a lot of experience with psychology and has written novels about it. Please take him!

Awesome professor. Very clear with his lectures & assignments. He encourages students to ask questions, and think out side the box. You must attend class! If you miss 1 class I promise you will feel lost. So much info in packed into his lectures pay attention, not that it will be hard cas he makes learning fun & you will surely laugh in his class.

This class was based on three take home exam essays. If you mess up on one well you're screwed. But mostly you'll be ready on how a couple of psychologists perform instead of learning about mental illnesses. Only take it if you want advice on how to be a good therapist.

He has a great personality and most of his lectures are clear, some may put you to sleep and lose your interest, sometimes goes off track and only few visuals. Definitely take notes on everything and study for the tests and you'll do fine. Class grade based off of three tests and one final book review on a book you have to read.

I have had Dr. Liebert for SYG2430 and for PSY1012, he is very clear cut in both classes. In both classes you must at least be interested in the material to pass, be engaged in the lecture and ask questions, or listen carefully to classmates questions. The tests for that class are not very hard, I passed with an A in both classes.

It is no cake walk but would take him again. He does make you read a lot and its very important to take notes and ask questions. He makes you work for your grade but as long as you do what he ask you should have no trouble passing. he also does not require a text book for General Psychology.

Great professor and great class. Only grades are 2 essay exams, book review essay, and the final. It's not hard to pass as long as you pay attention and make an effort. The class was very interesting, and Professor Liebert made the lectures fun. One of my favorite professors at SPC so far.

So this class is weird. I honestly don't understand most of what he says. Psychology is just a weird class. He seems to be really smart. If you pay attention you'll do great. Dr. Liebert is a good professor. Lectures are interesting and he is more than willing to help with questions after class or during office hours. This course entailed a lot of writing, but the test weren't overly difficult.

Dr. Liebert was one of the best professors I have ever taken. He was a dynamic, clear speaker who was obviously extremely knowledgeable in his field. I learned SO MUCH from this class, and I would highly recommend Dr. Liebert. Don't expect to sit in the back of class and snooze, though! He actively engages students and gives challenging homework.

Professor Liebert is Great! He made PSY 1012 Fun! He puts in a lot of jokes and keeps your attention. You have 3 Exams, a Final Comprehensive Exam, and a Critical Book Review. He tells you your essay question a week before the Exam. Although you may not major in Psychology you will learn a lot from his class. :)

BEST professor ever! He made it possible for me to look forward to a 2 hour class at 8am. No textbook - he provides primary sources from the likes of Freud, Jung, etc. There is a critical book review which was a pain in the butt... tests are SUPER easy if you go to class every time and take notes. Can't recommend Dr. Liebert enough.

Very clear about what's required. Easy class for the average college student and Dr. Liebert does exactly what is expected when looking to take an intro to Sociology class. This guy knows his stuff in this area, so I'd highly suggest you choose Dr. Liebert if you're interested in Psych/Sociology majors!!!

Wonderful Professor, his lectures are good because he talks in a way you can relate, not just reading off a power point. He is pretty funny. I took him for psychology this semester his tests are easy if you go to class and study. His book is a book he wrote which is kinda cool and his tests are right from it. I would suggest taking him.

I was nervous taking Psych online but Dr Liebert made it so simple!! I'm glad I took it online because you can use your textbook and the internet to your advantage. Doc was very understanding and an easy grader! Definitely recommend

He is really nice, loves teaching, and really knows his subject. There really isn't any homework, you have three tests, three open book quizzes that are online, and one big critical book review. Every time you go to class he will be giving a lecture.

My favorite teacher by far at SPC. He is very clear on the grading criteria, very inspirational, and is always thinking about his students and putting them first. He is almost always available outside of class. Easy A if you show up and study. No need for a textbook he actually wrote his own for the class to use online.

Absolute gem of a teacher. After experiencing his classes (this is my second course taught by Dr. Liebert) I simply cannot imagine having a different instructor for my psych courses. He makes class super fun and not boring!, his lectures are heavy however everything that he covers in class is exactly on the test and so as long as you study, the tests are pretty easy. Always makes sure you understand the material and is open to answering questions any time during the lecture.

Dr Liebert was absolutely awesome! I took his Dynamic class over Winter break. It was a fast paced class and a lot of work, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. He provides excellent feedback. overall enjoyable class if you are into psyc. you have four 65 questions exams including the final lowest grade drops all from his book. 3 online quizzes. one critical book review due to the end of the semester. if you put an average amount of studying into this course this should be an easy A or at least B. enjoyable lecture.

Fun class! He gives many quizzes but only the top 5highest scores affect your grade which is great! Besides that, he only gives 3tests which are a big grade breaker but no worries because if you do better on the final he replaces the grades that you did lower on with the final. He assignes a critical book review that was much easier then expected.

Great professor, taking his Live Online Sociology class w/ Zoom. Signed for his Abnormal Psychology class in the Spring. All reading material provided. Lots of reading, but goes over each chapter in class. Class discussions, quizzes on each chapter , 3 essay exams, and a research paper (ethnography), that's it! Easy A.

I loved my psych class with professor liebert! He is energetic and passionate about teaching. I learned so much. The essays are intricate and take a lot of time, but he teaches the material really well.

No homework. only 10 quiz and three papers. do good on those and its an easy A. VERY lecture heavy. I would turn the sound off for an hour and come back to him talking about the same slide. He literally talks no interruptions for 3 hr straight. you can mute him 100%... just put your effort into the three major papers and this is an easy A.

Liebert is a great professor, he talks about more than just the textbook readings, he tells stories about things that relate to the topic. I would definitely recommend taking his class whether you wanna go into psych or just need the credit. His final is optional I believe, and there are not too many assignments. Most of them were also fairly fun.

I have taken two classes with Dr. Liebert, and I signed up for a third this summer. Dr Liebert is such a great professor, his zoom classes are so much fun and they give you so much information. I wish Dr. Liebert taught all of my classes. If you can take his class, definitely sign up!!!

Professor Liebert is so great, that I'm upset I will never be able to take him again. The stories he shares are very entertaining that I can retell almost 5 of them. He does not believe in busy work or discussion posts. He is an honest teacher who likes to teach his students but also keep them engaged.

Only 3 writing exams, and one critical book review. Provide good examples on why that person has that specific diagnosis, from the scene in the movie, and compare them to the symptoms of the diagnosis. Also response to messages quickly.

His assignments arent too bad and he is not super strict, but does heavy lecturing.

Overall easy class just make sure you turn in assignments on time.

I loved Dr. Liebert! He gave me amazing feedback with all my discussion posts and he is mainly quiz heavy. Discussion posts were very clear on instruction and get graded so fast in case you made a mistake to resubmit. He was very caring and supportive professor, I am SO sad I am leaving SPC for my bachelors because I would have taken him for more!!

Overall easy good psych teacher uses DSM-5TR consistently. Tests are based on movies mostly and are 750 words minimum. Tests are hardest part, quizzes aren't bad and everything's on mycourses online. No homework just look over textbook and powerpoint slides and take good notes in person.

Liebert is a great Professor. Thinking of taking his class? Get ready to read outside of class and write essays on movies. Quizzes are always open book and online, 3 or 4 essays due a semester 500-750 word count. Lectures every class but as long as you have the notes from in class or the book readings you will be successful.

Liebert's PSY1012 class is a well-structured course with engaging lectures and manageable assignments. The quizzes and papers are reasonable, and Unstuck study can be a helpful study tool alongside the textbook. Overall, an enjoyable and rewarding class.

By far the sweetest guy you'll have as a professor! He tries to make lectures exciting and answers any/all questions without making you feel dumb. Extra Credit is given!!!! But super easy class, you honestly just have to show up.

One of my favorite professors yet, he was clear with curriculum and quick responses. I was initially nervous about this course but he honestly does not make this class difficult. If anyone says anything bad about this man just know it is the person not him. There's weekly discussions and quizzes, and 3 heavier writing assignments but not hard.

Seemed monotone and bored at first, but actually a nice professor with a sense of humor. We had two assignments + 2 essays and 3 exams. Pretty straightforward, great lectures.

I took SYG2010 online with him. Not much to say, it was your average class. Midterm and final were proctored, with each being worth 10% of your grade. Overall, it was an average course. The one bad thing was studying. There is a lot to read in the textbook, and the midterm and final both ask random stats, which is hard when there is a lot to study.

I really enjoyed this class. Each week included a chapter to read, an assignment, and a test, but the workload was very manageable. The instructor is responsive to emails and genuinely wants students to succeed.
