Well, Prof Sanro is very good for teaching, but the test is so hard! If you want to get very good mark on the exam, you better to study!

He love everyone read the textbook and he love to answer all the question that you ask!

he's a very good professor who explains clearly. he makes the material seem so easy but his tests are very hard. you can ask him questions during class, after class, during office hours, whenever and he'll be glad to go over any material that you are having trouble with. he likes to give ppl a challenge to you need to think for his tests!!

prof. sarno is the absolute best he is the best chem. teacher in the world he will explain anything u want him 2 and is willing to go over any misunderstanding u had in class. he is not easy though u have to be prepared to study very hard but its all worth it i got a A- he is also very young so hes really excited when he teaches

I took one of Professor Sarno's intro to chemistry classes when I went to QCC and he was one of the most enthusiastic professors I've had. He is very helpful and seems to want everyone who takes his class to become chemists (or anything related to the field) especially if you show talent or work ethic. One of my favorite professors ever.

The course is difficult, not the prof. he is willing to help and he is energetic about chemistry.

Professor Sarno is a great teacher,he takes every min of the class to teach.For his tests,you really just have to focus on the notes he gives you and use the txt for aid if necessary.He always opens up extra office hours before test days to help students prepare and understand.As long as you pratice the math and study, you will do well.

Dr. Sarno is probably one of the finest teacher that QCC has. His notes & explanations are crystal clear, so just focus on his notes..u can actually earn up to 16 extra points on each test, drops the lowest grade. For lab, he wants very precise lab reports but will tell u how to do them. So make sure u mention EVERYTHING in ur lab report..LOVE HIM

A very nice professor overally but his ch152 class felt like an honors class. Alot of homework which are graded, quizzes and test frequently. Exams are very intense. He is easier in lab than lecture. Too intense for lecture. I would definitely not say he is easy.

One of the best teachers I have had my entire college career. He explains everything WITH examples. Even though his tests are extremely hard and he assigns homework every night, if you do the homework you will be prepared for anything. Definitely take him!

The course itself is hard(er than Chem 151) but Professor Sarno does his best to make the material clear. He provides answer sheets with full explanations of every problem from every test, quiz and homework at the end of class. And he's an extremely easy exam grader and gives partial credit for everything. He's also just a super nice guy.

Great professor! He's very clear and teaches the class in a way so that everybody can keep up. The homework he gives are sometimes long. Of course you'll need to study for tests. Sometimes he comes off a bit sarcastic but he's very fair and reasonable. Take his class and you'll definitely learn.

When I first started chemistry, I had no idea what I was doing. He made it simple and easy to learn. Very sarcastic, but very funny teacher.

Best professor out of all the QCC and Stony Brook University professors. His notes are so clear and love the way he goes step by step in problem solving strategy. I know his exams are hard but his notes should be enough to do any kind of exam even MCAT only if you study them obviously.

One of the best professors I ever had. Really responsible man. He wouldn't put a single problem in the test paper which he didn't cover. He will explain and write down everything clearly on the board. Nice grader will give you partial credit. Very helpful, he will help u in the class and during office hours, he would even spend ext. tim. to help u.

Pro Sarno, i wouldnt is not easy or hard. but his test can be difficult. he explained very well and clear.you really have to do his all his works to pass his course.

This professor is an amazing lecturer. I loved his lectures, his exams were very fair and he gives very generous partial credit! On the flip side, he was a rather harsh lab report grader. But I'm sure at any 4 year college the professor would do the same. In general, he knows his stuff, he's passionate about chemistry and he's funny!

if chemistry is not your thing, LEAVE ! this teacher expects you to really know your stuff. All tests are 7 questions multiple choice and the rest are workout problems. But his problems are really nothing like the homework.They are much harder ! He tells you : study the homework, and i would study 2 weeks in advance and still fail! Save yourself

Like few professors, Sarno is very passionate about what he teaches. He can teach it well and STRONGLY encourages meeting him for extra help/tutoring but you would think he is teaching honors! Very challenging class, but Chem isn't easy. If Chem 1 wasn't easy for you, this isn't the professor for you either.

Best professor in the chem department

Crystal clear and hilarious but is strict when it comes to rules. I had him for lab and if you are wearing shorts you are out. He wants you to write lab reports as if the reader has no idea of what the lab is all about. But he is a great professor overall.

You must study! You must show up to class! Make sure you pay attention, take notes and study cause there is only so much Dr Sarno can do for you! There's lots to memorize and formulas to figure out, but he tries to make it as easy and clear as possible. But I still found it more difficult than Ch 151.

This professor is very helpful and very funny. He gives a lot of extra credit which boast your grade. He doesn't put a single question that he didn't teach on his test. I love the way he teaches so passionate about chemistry which motivates you. Take him u won't regret

If you are good in mathematic and sciences you should take him he is clear and fair

Dr. Sarno is the best gen chem professor there is!!!!!!!!!! If you really want to learn chemistry take him. He helps you how ever he can not an easy class if you don't like chem and don't study.

Dr. Sarno is an outstanding professor!!! Tests were well rounded and there were many opportunities to do well on the tests. He gave us homework that reenforced the classwork, and the practice sets he made up for the test review, were perfect for test preparation. He gave lots of extra credit so there are many opportunities to boost your grade!!!

I want to start off by saying professor Sarno is very knowledgeable in his field ,he truly tries to help his students,very clear in teaching . His notes is the key to success in his class .This is not an easy class ,if u don't study u will fail .His exam are difficult in my opinion and you have to study in advance like 2 weeks for a good grade.

He has mutton chops, he cares about his students and he's a pretty good lecturer but most importantly he gives a ton of feedback and has extremely long office hours for those who require it. Unfortunately I was not a fan of the pace that was set. We were constantly behind the other Chem2 sections which made studying with mates awkward.

He is very good explaining things during the lecture, however his exam a bit tough a lot of calculations problems. he drops the lower grade but chemestry is hard for some student so i prefer that he curves the whole class instead to drops the lowers grade. Most students will have better grades in this way! I got my first C in my transcript.

Dr. Sarno is an amazing. Exams are hard, he does give a lot of problem sets to practice for exams. They key is to keep doing as many problems as you can and recognize/understand what you're solving for. Gives bonus q's on exams. I recommend not missing any classes. He was a tutor years ago so he's very good at explaining things with good examples.

Prof Sarno provides the students with awesome lectures! All the materials are given for you to do your part. Very detailed and picky when grading and explaining. Expects a lot from you. Tries to challenge you, beware. STUDY everything.. notes are key but questions on exams require to know the concepts in order to tackle them from every direction.

Had him for Lab. Many students had trouble with prof Sarno because of the lab reports but HELLLLLOOOOO this is college. You must do work. To pass this class show up and turn in your work PERIOD. He gives all the info needed for the Lab reports so not doing them would just prove how lazy students are.

Prof. Sarno is one of the most knowledgeable professors in the chemistry dep. His lectures are so interesting and to the point. His homeworks are a good practice for the quizzes and exams. He drops the lowest exam and always! welcome you in his office hours. I wish I had professor Sarno for all chemistry courses I have taken so far. Take him!!!!!!

Doctor Sarno is very professional, knowledgeable and very passionate about his lectures. He is very respectful and genuinely cares about his students . He is willing to help you if you are having difficulties with a subject matter . I observed him on several occasions going the extra mile for fellow students who were having difficulties .

Best Chemistry 152 professor at QCC. The ways he explains difficult concepts is just exceptional. He gives home works and practice sets which are there to help you further your understanding of the subject. His exams are very fair!! No suprises as long as you take good notes and study everything. If you don't get it right with him, you may never!

Dr. Sarno is a great professor. He is very knowledgeable and is willing to help his students. In order to pass his class, make sure you do not fall behind. He gives quizzes every 2 weeks to check your understanding of the material. If you are lost, make an appointment to see him.

Professor David is a amazing professor!!! You wont regret taking it. Always answer his emails, always trying to help you to do better and understand the material. Professor Sarno is hands down my favorite professor. I already loved Chemistry before him, but he has a way of explaining the concepts that makes me feel like I'm watching an interesting documentary. He is very clear, helpful and caring. You can tell that he definitely cares. If you don't understand Chemistry he is your best shot at learning.

One of the best professors Ive taken. Ive always struggled in chemistry but he made lab class easy & understandable. He was very clear on what he wanted written on the lab reports which was very helpful. He read drafts & gave feedback on the reports. He allows late submissions so long as you communicate & let him know. TAKE HIM!

He is always there to help students. His ways of teaching lab procedures are very professional. He gave the clear instructions for each lab what specifically he want. I went to his office hr and he told me what to correct in the lab report so I'll get the best possible grades. He also helped me understand what courses I needed for specific degrees.

He is a very nice professor. He is very kind, friendly, humorous, patient for students. His teaching methods are very good. His made content of laboratory of chemistry are clear, logical, and easy to understand. The parepare materials for course were very details. Not too much homework.

Chemistry is a very tough subject, but hes your best chance to learn and pass with a good grade. He explains everything in detail, hes always available during class, after class and office hours for questions. You have to put in the work, but he makes it understandable. Hes just really good at what he does.

I mean, he's amazing. He makes chemistry fun to learn. He DOES NOT grade the exams unfairly or strictly, these ppl must just not study and expect to receive a free A? You'll have 7-8 quizzes ab once per 2 weeks. study and do your hw and you'll do great, if you get the hw, you'll get an A on exams. id 100% take him again for any class going forward

Hands-down one of the best professors at QCC. He genuinely makes me WANT to go to class; he's so inspiring, motivating, and positive. I would take him for ALL of my classes if I could. He's an amazing person all around and excellent professor. He makes sure all students r prepared by offering tons of outside practice and preparation for exams.

100% recommend Prof Sarno for ANY class he teaches, not just chem 152. His teaching is very straight forward and easy to understand, as long as YOU put in the work to study it and know it. Chem is def tricky, but with prof Sarno, he made it so easy to understand and breakdown. There's so much GOOD to say about him, if you're reading this, take him.

Professor Sarno is honestly one of the best professors I've had at QCC. You can tell he genuinely cares about his students and their success. I approached him once after class for help with a lab and he met me with a smile, which very few professors do. He had no problem helping me out. Only issue is he's a tough grader, hence why I got a C.
