The best education teacher. Very insightful and always willing to help. The only reason you can do poorly is if you don't do the homework. He wants good teachers and so he expects quality work and preparation. He is always open to ideas and new ways of thining. He never put anyone down for their ideas. Not a hard grader.

Amazing teacher. Don't listen to any of the negative comments. If you are lazy and procrastinate, then you will have a hard time, then again, what are you doing in college?!? For military history, he had us reading ALOT. he had some fairly obvious anti military mentality, but at the same time tried to fit in with those of us in the class who were military. don't base your entire opinion of the military on this class, but overall, he was a good teacher.

This teacher is annoying, the class is annoying, and the homework is annoying. He is really into the idea of changing the world, so he asks questions to "make us think." He is the worst teacher I've ever had. I didn't learn anything at all this semester. When it was time to take tests I didn't know how or what I needed to do to prepare myself. He was always off topic during lectures and he often got mad at students and yelled at them and would ask them to leave (which was really awkward btw). Don't take him.

Bro. Magleby lulls you into a false sense of security by making the first 12 weeks seem easy and hits you with difficult assignments with unclear criteria for the last week or two. He also does this strange & unhelpful thing where he gives indistinct responses to your comments in class by saying, "there's an idea."

I'm assuming he doesn't look at these. First off, he has you read at least 20-30 pages a night, where the articles use a bunch of jargon, and you have to look up what's being talked about on YouTube/Google to know what's going on. Also, he's very vague when describing a topic, even the examples he gives are very vague. Get ready for confusion.

Brother Magleby is not a good professor. He pushes future teachers to make things clear for their students, yet makes assignments confusing for his. There are many more things I could say about him, but essentially, he does not practice what he preaches, and makes things hard and confusing for his students. His lectures do not make sense.

I loved Brother Magleby, he knew exactly what he was teaching at all times and made lectures enjoyable. I felt I was learning so much every day. Tests were a little difficult and sometimes there would be things on the test that we never covered in class. He gives lots of opportunities for extra credit, this was so helpful especially after tests.

He is funny, but it was almost impossible to get a good grade because he had no clear grading criteria and graded so harshly. I am a straight A student but did not get a good grade in his EDUCATION course because he did not explain things clearly!! He was frustrating and hard to deal with and did not teach clearly. But he is funny.

Don't pay attention to the negative ratings - the class was not hard because of him but because he has so much to teach in one semester. Each of the five units covered could easily have been a semester long class on their own. Brother Magleby loves the subject and is easy to talk to. Just ask him questions or for help and he is more than happy!

His assignments can be very unclear at times, but he starts every class by asking if we have any questions and a conversation from there for the first few minutes before his lectures. He gives students a chance to teach and get some extra credit. You can tell he has a love for history and his students.

He knows his stuff and provides ample content to prepare for the PRAXIS exam. He's a tough grader, but I think it helped me get a high score in my PRAXIS because I had to really work for it. He takes the time to know each student by name and asks if we have any questions of concerns at the beginning of class. If you want to pass PRAXIS, take him!

He is the only option for this class. His lectures and practice exams never match the exams, so be aware of that. Attendance doesn't count, but he will randomly add class activities that will pull your grade down if you get a 0. He doesn't accept late quizzes or answer questions very well.

Great guy, but horrible teacher. The lectures rarely cover the material on the test, and would get upset when the class failed the test. Everybody in the class barely passed the tests bc he did not teach. He was the only teacher available for the class. Would never take a class from him again

Lectures did not prepare you for the test. Rude to students, and unwilling to work with you when you come to him with stuggles you are having in the class.

He constantly inspires me. He invites his students to not just to learn how to be a teacher, but also to practice now. Read material even though it's not graded, it will help you in tests. Keep a list of things to consider including in your final Unit Plan. Challenging, but ultra-rewarding in something much more valuable than a letter grade!

Brother Magleby is a good teacher. He knows the material well, but the way he teaches it to students is not always straight forward. Part of his style is letting students figure it out by themselves as he presents the material. He can be witty and sarcastic at times. USE your reading resources! Constantly guessing on what he wants us to do for assignments and what will be on tests. Very unclear. Very rude to students often. Can't work with students with concerns or grades at all. Had to constantly redo assignments because he doesn't have clear rubrics at all, nor does he explain anything ever.

Brother Magleby was very rude. He called out students often and was not very personable. He didn't strive to build relationships. His rubrics were very vague and he was very picky about grading. I wouldn't recommend this professor.

Bro. Magleby is kind and tries his best to understand what he is teaching but he is a history teacher, not a education or psychology teacher. He was good at the beginning but struggled to have any patience with me by the end. His test questions were confusing and his criteria doesn't exist. You will need to read his mind and nail it the first time.
