although the class is difficult, he is a good teacher. He really cares that you learn what you are going to use in regular classes. If you want to succeed in 1101 take this class!!!

He's one of the best english language teachers of Miami Dade College. He tends to cover a great deal of material, but always tries to make sure all the students understood clearly what's going on. He doesn't like Bush, by the way.

At the beginning I was scared I used to seat at the end of the room now I just seat in front, my primary language is not English I was terrified with this professor. I had prof Mahon for both, Macro and Micro in the same term. I can actually tell you how he is. BEST prof. I have ever had. Smart, dedicated, straight forward, helpful, and super caring. Yes, you must read the book in order to understand the science and application behind the material, but he will teach you and use real world examples to help you understand that portion of economics, study hard and you will be fine, there is also plenty of xtra credit for your advantage

Professor Mahon was the reason why I changed my major to Business Administration. He is knowledgeable about economics and he relates topics to real world situations. During class, he also plays games relating to economic theories which makes the class even more interesting. I would recommend him. Word of advice: Tests are hard,you must study

David Mahon is one of the greatest professor at MDC. Undoubtedly, he is one of a kind. If you are ready to learn and master in English language, Mahon will be very helpful. However, it is fundamental and recommended attending to classes and being focus to get the best result. He is a genius!

highly recommend taking him. he's very knowledgeable in economics, i was a transient student so this class is much easier in a community college than university. my class for summer was a bit weird so i found it easy. 4 exams & a paper you MUST complete in order to even pass. best choice out of the options for profs in this course.

I really liked him. If the reading proves difficult to understand, he says it in ways that make sense to the subject. He gives lots of chances for you to bring your grades up and warns you of all material on the tests. He is a great professor and if I majored in business, I would take him again!

Mahon is one of a kind. I took him for 6 weeks and I wish it was longer. Never a dull or boring moment when he speaks about Economics. Excellent teaching methods and very knowledgeable. Tests aren't too difficult and he will give extra credit. Be sure to read the book and do the homework.

Excellent professor, he knows the topics very well. Don't be a minute late or skip class. Make sure to read before the class. He will ask a lot of questions about the lecture. Use the online book, pretty much all the answers for the test are in it. He goes pretty fast, make sure you take notes. He gives extra credits. I got an A!!

I recommend Prof. Mahon 100%. Economics isn't easy, you definitely HAVE TO READ & DO THE HW but he explains it in a way that makes it easier to understand. The in-class activities help a ton & if you're struggling, he makes the effort to help any way he can. There's also a lot of extra credit that's given. It'll take work but 100% take his class.

This professor cares about his students and what he is teaching, he will explain it to you until you understand, however there was alot of homework, it was very easy though. Proctored exams and he is a bit unorganized (speeding through lectures, not updating students if class is in person or online). If you don't enjoy learning econ mayb he isnt 4u

Would take this professor again, it was mostly mindtap assignments, i didn't do well on the final and it brought my grade down but he offered extra credit to help.

I really recommend,he keeps it real all the time and tells real life situations to relate to the lecture, exams are kind of difficult, sometimes they don't relate to the lecture so you definitely need to be reading/studying the book. Not a lot of homework. He's funny, give extra credit games

This was a class I wasn't really look forward to since it was so late in the day but it was a fun class. Mahon has good lectures and includes his own hilarious input from time to time. The only issue I had with the class was he had many tech issues. Apart from that I got good laughs, valuable knowledge, and a stress free class. 5/5 would recommend.

Dr. Mahon is a great professor. Alot of students complain about the world load and having to read material on your own but it's college. What did you expect? A slap on the wrist? He's very caring and understanding but can read thru bs excuses. Do you readings, turn your work in on time and pay attention to the lectures and you'll be fine.

Honestly, I could have gotten a better grade if I read the materials like he said. It makes his lectures make more sense when we tied the real world into the information. The test were tricky but you can tell he switched some things up to make sure we understood the material. That's annoying but that's college. I definitely learned in his course.
