He's very knowledgable and passionate about the class. He keeps it interesting, but sometimes rambles. Very friendly and helpful but you must attend class because his slides don't make sense without the lecture. 4 test and optional final.
Great guy. Very knowledgeable and passionate about the material. Easy A. The tests are curved, and you can earn 7% easy extra credit toward your grade. Make sure to read the book though along with lecture.
Horrible prof. Please do not take him if you can get around it.I am a really good student, never get below an A, but Prof. Marx made it nearly impossible to do well.He freely admits that he makes his tests extremely tricky.Im the type to see these critical comments and not believe them, but you will be sorry if you take him. I wish I had a warning.
Drops lowest test, curves to students' advantage. Tests are challenging -- there are 2 very tempting choices. Half material from lectures is on tests (so show up to class!) read the book, easier to get a B than an A. Easy to talk to, give a wonderful exciting lecture. Tests are 35Qs multiple choice -- 5 tests - 1 dropped.
Lectures are fun, and you will not be bored (even at 8am). The tests are mult.choice 35 q's and he drops the lowest one-however the tests are tricky, so you need to read the book and go to every lecture.Do all of the extra credit, don't miss class, keep up with the readings, and visit him in his office hrs.-esp before his exams. Very nice guy!

I really liked this class. tests were hard, but passable and extra credit is offerd. He really tries to help you understand and is a good teacher.
Always willing to help a student!
I thought Marx was a great teacher and REALLY enthusiastic about Social Psychology, which is a good atmosphere for students. The class was pretty easy, 90% is an A, and there is 6 points extra credit. I recommend you study the Book because most of the test comes from the book. Overall, I think Marx likes students and likes teaching.
Professor Marx is really nice, always willing to help. The class was interesting, tests based on lectures and book. The lectures were easy to listen to, I had a 8am class and went to every one, it was not bad at all.
he is a good professor. 5 exams and drops the lowest score. only 35 questions on each exam and if you know the main terms then you'll do fine. his notes are useful. and offers 6 pts extra credit for easy things. do them. overall good class and good to take if you're a psych major
a most excellent teacher. he knows his stuff and wants you to know it too. makes you think outside the box, tells great stories, and his ta's are really on top of stuff. great class
Dr. Marx is a little unreasonable. It is very very hard to do well on his tests. You have to attend every lecture, and take your time reading through everything in the book in order to do well in this class. I recommend taking this class with another professor.
Four exams and a cumulative final, your lowest test score is dropped so the final is optional. If you want an easy A, this isn't the class for you. Attending lecture is a must and you have to read each chapter a few times if you want to do well on his exams.
He talks too fast during lecture to the point where I don't know what we just talked about so I can't ask a question. I also don't like the way his lectures are set up. I wish there were more definitions on the slides instead of him trying to define it in his fast words. I thought I would enjoy this class, now I don't think so.
Dr. Marx is an amazing Professor! likes to teach & makes class interesting w/ lots of examples. You need to attend lecture to understand his slides and also read the chapters to do well on exams, which are not to hard, if you are a responsible student!!!!
Interesting topic, AWFUL teacher. He uses long, boring stories to illustrate points when he should simply give the class definitions and examples. The book is a must. 3 exams and a comprehensive final. No study guides. 20 points extra credit offered.. DO IT! Way easier than it looks.
The lectures were somewhat vague compared with the amount of material in each chapter. However, if you study what he covers you do pretty well. My only issue was he says he covers main ideas for tests but often is much more specific. Just be aware of that and you will be fine.
I really enjoyed this class, even though it was a three-hour monster. If you attend class, take good notes, and keep up with the readings, you'll do really well. He gives a pretty substantial 20-point extra credit opportunity, and he is eager to answer any and all questions you have.
His teaching style kind of sucked. Had to take diligent notes and read the book to do well which isn't a big deal except he speaks at a million miles an hour and goes on story tangents. Definitely read the book/terms for the exams and DO THE EXTRA CREDIT. Super easy points that can boost you a full grade.
Great teacher who keeps you engaged! Reading the book is a MUST. All power points are online if you miss a class but they are vague so you must attend class to receive detailed notes. He offers extra credit (participating in psych studies on campus). 4 exams and 1 cumulative final. Take this class as long as you can put in the time to read!
I went to class everyday, listened to all the online lectures, read the chapters and I still struggled. No study guides, 4 midterms, and a cumulative final…I worked so hard in this class and didn't do well. I loved the subject but wouldn't take this professor again.
Interesting class that requires A LOT of reading, more than other courses. He can be monotone at times, and the material may seem like common sense, but it is much more detailed in the exams. Cumulative final and no study guide. But, 5 questions for extra credit in the first exam as well as the final.
Even though I got an A in this class I would never take this professor again. if you don't read the book you will struggle to get an A. His tests are straight whack because he offers no study guides and favors the questions where you must choose the best answer, ugh! Your grade is also based entirely off tests, which sucks.
This class was pretty interesting, one would think that the test would be common sense, but no, it was the exact opposite. 4 multiple choice exams and 1 multiple choice cumulative final. The questions on the tests were quite ambiguous and quite confusing,A LOT OF READING NEEDED TO BE DONE FOR THIS CLASS
Don't listen to the people who complain about this guy. He's a very fair grader and has proper expectations for what he wants. Yes, you do need to read, A LOT. But really it is easy-read stuff. And what classes don't have you read from the textbook? Seriously, go to class and read and there is no way you walk away with anything less than an A.
There was a class lecture and an online lecture every week. He does not give out study guides & his extra credit is extra questions on the tests. 4 exams & cumm final. I went to every class & listened to all online lectures. I studied the bolded terms in the book. I didn't read, I only studied my notes and bolded terms and got an A.
This class isn't that hard honestly, and the A was effortless. He thoroughly informs you well enough for exams and the final. He's passionate about the subject, and if you look at it from that perspective its easy and he is more than willing to help in any way that he can. Though, a happy medium of 50-60 questions on exams would have been nice.
Interesting, straight-forward lectures. Make sure to ask for clarification on the test questions. Many of them are misleading and you might be surprised by how much damage they will do to your grade. He throws in a few extra credit questions here and there so know your stuff!
This class is extremely easy. Go to EVERY class (his tests are pretty much straight from lecture) and take notes. Other than studying those notes, all you need to do for the test is study the bolded terms. I studied only the night before every test and got a solid A. Book is necessary. Final is cumulative
Everything that you need to know on the test will be gone over in lecture. However, I never went to class and would go over the key terms and listen to his online lectures and got an A. Class is very doable and he is a very interesting and knowledgeable teacher.
hybrid course. Marx is a nice guy but sometimes class is a bit dull. He talks about chocolate chip cookies too much though haha. Read book, trust me it will help a lot. No study guides & very little extra credit. Tests were way too long for the time allowed. Otherwise good quality teacher, but you have to put in the time to read/study if you want A
Hybrid class. Marx is a very nice guy, knows his stuff, uses great examples. However, he does not cover everything on the tests in his lectures so you will need to read if you want an A. Without reading its honestly an easy B or C. Entire Grade = 4 midterms and one cumulative final. Its not bad at all, definitely recommend him!
Dude his test out of this world, but if u read you'll be fine. I always studied the night before and got a B+ in the end. Although I was just a few points shy of the A- this guy does not help u out or assign any Extra credit... Interesting stuff and usually hott chicks in the class (500 students bound to get lucky)
This class is a hybrid course. I highly suggest you go to his lectures and be on top of your online lectures because he discusses material that will be on the test. Skim the textbook and focus on bold terms. There are 4 exams and 1 cumulative final. He offers extra credit in all exams. I thought this class was easy and Marx is a great professor.
class was interesting. professor knew his stuff. read the book and go to class for additional information that will be on the exams. good teacher.
Great teacher and a very interesting class. Highly recommend him. 5 tests based on in class lectures, recorded lecture, and book. Not that hard if you pay attention in the lectures, take notes, and skim through the book
Attend lectures for access to missing parts of powerpoints. Make sure you understand and remember concepts in lecture. No online homework. 4 midterms and 1 final, no drops. Curve is built into the exams because he provides extra credit. No curving at the end though. Reading is not mandatory but will help on some questions on the exam.
Grade is only on five exams. Read the book (or if too lazy the summaries of each section) as a review. Know the lecture and you'll be golden. Extra credit is only through bonus exam questions. No curve since it is already set.
I barely went to class and managed an A-. Literally just studied the google docs, looked through the powerpoints, and aced all the tests. However, the lectures I did attend were very interesting and engaging, and Dr. Marx knows what he's talking about. There are no surprises in this class, everything is right there in the syllabus.
Social Psychology is one of the most interesting courses I've ever taken. It should be mandatory in school!!! I couldn't stop reading the book. Professor David Marx is great too. He is good at explaining. If you get the chance, take this class.
Marx is great. He uses a lot of real-world examples to help understand concepts. If you take his hybrid class DON'T FORGET ONLINE LECTURES. Most of the content on exams is covered in the online lectures. Attend class because sometimes he puts on films that will also be on exams. Lots of exams. (I didn't read the book and passed.)
Yes, take him. His lectures are good, but you don't need to go pass. But I suggest you do, that way you don't have open the book. Nothing about this class or him is boring, he give extra credit on exams only. No study guides, not that you will need them. Exams are not difficult, you have to use common sense and know some definitions.
4 Midterms + 1 Final. I didn't attend one class but read the book and watched online lectures. Easy A. The test is mostly composed of vocabulary. Ex: Katie is an SDSU b-ball fan but when her Ohio State b-ball friends cheer for OSU when they're playing SDSU, she does too. What is this? Answer: Conformity. Take this class! I really enjoyed it.
One of the easiest class I have taken at state. The materials are very easy and extremely interesting. Got over 100% in the class without going to class and watching the online lecture. Highly recommended this class because it will change the way you view toward the world.
I enjoyed this class, the course material was really interesting. You don't need the book unless you skip lecture frequently because the online power points don't contain all the information you need. The Professor is pretty cool and keeps lectures interesting.
OMG, this class hurt my flawless GPA. I received my first C in this class. 5 multiple choice test, no extra credit. I don't think it was the teacher, I just didn't get it in this class.
TBH this teacher is boring which makes the class long and hard to understand. 5 multiple-choice tests! 1 about every 3 weeks, 1 chapter peer week. the questions are like a paragraph long and confusing. there is no extra credit. Don't take him...
I took my first upper division course with Dr. Marx as his hybrid course, and I couldn't have been more pleased! I learned so much and felt like I really understood the material. There are four midterms and one cumulative final, but if you just go to class and keep up your reading, it's an easy A
Very good teacher. Lectures are very interesting and engaging. Gives extra credit questions on all exams. Class is very easy and help is available.
Tests were a little inconsistent for me, but still, if you study, the A is there. He gives A TON of extra credit over the semester through super easy questions at the end of each test, they can save your grade. Hilarious teacher who really knows what he is talking about. Take this class
Whole grade is tests, he offers extra credit questions on every test. I didn't go to class or watch any of the virtual lectures; I would just study the google docs students made for each test, it worked out well. Effortless if you're good at test taking and use common sense for psych terms. Didn't buy the book.
did not attend one lecture and still got an A. reading book is optional and not necessary! read over powerpoints and google doc. it is all memorization! Study 2 days before the test and you will get an A.
Definitely have to attend every lecture because his powerpoints aren't online, but lectures aren't boring. Didn't buy the textbook, just take notes and you'll be fine. He also gives extra credit questions on all exams. 4 exams and a final.
DJ Marky Marx is a pretty funny, sensible, and nice guy. He's a little bit nerdy but I love it. I wish he taught more classes!
Super interesting, funny lectures. I actually enjoyed going to class and listening to him. If you want an A, you have to watch all the lectures and read the book. The topic is very interesting so it isn't hard to keep up.
Dr. Marx was one of my favorite lecturers. You can tell he is really into the subject, which makes it genuinely interesting and engaging. He has extra credit on every exam. He also uses different examples in the lecture, aside from the ones you find in the text. I would recommend him for this class.
Take him! He makes social psychology so interesting and easy to understand. The grade is based on 4 exams and an optional final. His lectures are not mandatory, but are easy to sit through. Exams are a bit long, but pretty straight-forward. All you really need to do is study the google doc. I got an A without the book or the final. 10/10!
I highly recommend this class. Marx is really easy going professor and makes the material easy to understand. I do recommend going to class because while all this powerpoints are posted online, he makes a lot of comments and explanations that will be directly asked on the midterms. 5 exams, one dropped. I find all his lectures to be interesting
I'm a transfer student, and marx was one of my first professors at SDSU. I'm already interested in psych, but even if it's not your thing his lectures are SO interesting. You won't fall asleep. I feel like psy340 is common sense, if you attend lectures and pay attention you should get an A. Literally did not open the book once.
Dr. Marx is an excellent professor! I loved all his lectures, very engaging, funny, and informative! There are only 5 exams in which the lowest is dropped. Exams were more conceptual and wordy. But if you attend lectures, read, and take the time to study, you'll pass! He offers extra credit on the exams! He's also cute in his own way. :)
I cannot emphasize how easy this course was, and how sweet Professor Marx is! All you have to do is show up and take notes to pass! Don't buy the textbook, it's online for free and you don't even have to read it to pass!
Professor Marx is VERY funny! His lectures were very lively and kept you engaged. This class was somewhat difficult due to the way he words his tests. The material is not hard and is very straight forward but the way the questions are worded is awful. The class overall was pretty easy and didn't require much work & he gives extra credit. Take him!
Cool teacher, fun to listen in person. Is not concise during lectures/online lectures (long winded explanations)and lecture info/terms does not mirror/match the book. Grade is made up of 4 of 5 tests . Miss more than 5 Qs from each test and you will not get an A. Tests require working knowledge -no study guides. past chapter terms randomly included
Great professor, passionate about his subject. Good lectures, he's funny. Social Psych is kinda common sense, but you do have to memorize a lot of the terms to do well. Tests are difficult, tricky wording, and you aren't graded on anything else. No homework. He does give a little bit of XC. Kinda tough class if you aren't a psych major.
5 tests total (55 p/each), he drops one so you get graded on 4. Doesn't take attendance, but lectures are really helpful - make sure to watch the online classes too. Feels like the material is common sense, but it is easy to mix up the terms. Study your notes and main concepts from the book, do the e.c experiments as soon as you can.
Marx was an amazing professor. Even his online lectures were great. Really made this content fun and simple to understand. You don't have to read the book but if you're not too good with terns I recommend you do because it helps to understand the material a bit more. 4 exams, 1 optional final; only 4 out of 5 of the exams get counted. Good luck!
Take him! He made lectures very interesting, fun, and engaging. I thoroughly enjoyed his class. He explains concepts very well and he's intriguing to listen to. 5 exams, including final, drops 1. No study guides, but if you take good notes of his lectures and briefly look through the book, an easy A. I wish he taught more classes bc I loved him!
Great Professor. Serious yet charismatic. Good content. Down to earth & cares about his students.
Despite what others thought of this class, I found it extremely boring. The tests are long and annoying but if you understand the concepts well they're not that difficult. Its not that had to get an A if you do well on most of the tests but be ready to fall asleep watching online lectures. I recommend taking advantage of extra credit studies early.
I'm not kidding this was the easiest class I have ever taken. It's super interesting. You don't need to go to class but he has good lectures and so I always wanted to!! I got high As on all the exams and I hardly studied. he's really funny and helpful too you can tell he really cares!! hybrid class with an optional final! one of my favorite profs!
He is an amazing professor! I learned so much in this class about people. It was really good make sure you pay attention in his lectures and study to pass the exams. Pretty easy class, and super interesting things to learn about. Would recommend anyone to take !
This was one of the easiest classes I have ever taken. Professor Marx is a great teacher and makes the material easy to learn and very accessible to students.
Dr. Marx is an awesome professor. His class isn't difficult but obviously if you don't come to lecture and take notes, then you won't do well. My advice is always pay attention to the examples he gives for each concept because that helped me so much!
Tests are entirely examples. You must be able to apply your knowledge. Textbook not necessary, but it helps to understand material. Don't focus on studies in the textbook. Focus on bolded terms in the textbook, and the studies he talks about in lectures. DON'T BUY THE TEXTBOOK. Get the PDF instead. Attendance not necessary, but it helps.
4 midterms & optional final. Grade based on 4 tests & participation in 2 studies (tip: do them in beginning of semester b/c in the end everyone was stressed out over completing them since they are not always available). Reading the book is not necessary but skim the bolded terms before the test. Understand the concepts & be able to apply them.
Not sure about an easy A, but you definitely get the grade you study for. Four tests, and final is cumulative but optional, because he drops one test. Two studies on SONA, but better to just get them out of the way in the beginning of the semester. Lectures are interesting and tests are all examples he provided in class.
The whole class is memorizing a principle and applying it to a basic situation. Read the chapters for the exams, make flashcards for the terms and an example for each and you'll ace this class. 1 lecture a week, 1 online (can be viewed whenever). No homework, but go to class! If you just go to class, take notes, and study, you'll get an A.
Have to be able to apply concepts, as tests are conceptual, not memorization. Not hard material, but lectures are necessary. His class meets once a week, but you have to watch online lectures every week too. Pretty straightforward grading. Top 4 of your 5 test grades are counted plus 2 research studies. Easy, easy.
awesome professor! very charismatic and laid back. I never bought the book and did very well in the class. Take good notes in class and watch the online lectures and you will do fine
4 Midterms, Final (optional), and 2 research studies. STUDY key terms and review his power point slides (for concepts) and you will be golden! That is all I did the day before each midterm (procrastination at its finest).
easiest A i have ever gotten. cool prof, personable and interesting lectures. Take this class if you want to learn about cultural psych and also boost your GPA
He is such a great professor! Just attend class and take notes! Keep track and listen to what he says and you will do excellent on his exams. They are straight forward and aren't tricky. I wish I would've put more effort into showing up for class because I would've received a B, maybe an A!
It is all based from 5 exams but he drops one which is good. Not a hard class at all, easy to pass but I didnt like too much his sense of humor at first lol.. Overall, amazing teaching and would recommend!
He is funny and his in-class lectures were pretty interesting. The online lectures were a bit hard to follow because I felt like he stammered and restarted his sentences a lot. Other than that, this was one of the easier psych classes I've taken and he did a good job explaining the material. Definitely take notes on both in-class/online lectures.
Nice guy who has very clear expectations for his tests. His lectures can be a bit boring sometimes, but just show up and take detailed notes and you should be fine for the exam. He tests not just on memorizing terms and concepts, but applying them to new situations (which is not that hard). I never used the book but there are some q's based on it.
5 tests, he drops your lowest score and the final is optional. His exams test you on knowing how to apply the concepts, rather than on definitions. He lectures and gives examples based off the book (I would recommend focusing on the book for the tests). Also, pay attention to his in-class examples (they usually appeared on the exams).
Hybrid course. 4 conceptual exams. If you are happy with your 4 exams grade, final is optional. Tests are based off class lectures and Tbook. I tried to do shortcut by just scanning the book. Nope didn't work. Watch online lectures, show up in class if your want an A. Exams are getting easier you get used to his questions. Fun, kind prof. Got an A
Dr. Marx is a really great professor. He's very passionate about psychology and his lectures are never boring. He gives great examples and is very helpful. He does not give out study guides, so as long as you read and pay attention during the online and in class lectures, you will be fine. His exams aren't hard if you study well.
Great professor, clearly loves what he does. Class was interesting and very organized. Hybrid course is one online lecture and one in class lecture a week. Drops lowest of 5 exams (final is optional), which makes up your entire grade.
Marx is very clearly passionate about what he does and it makes lectures more interesting. Class was half online and all of the lecture slides were posted, but only the online days had audio recordings paired with them. Slides can be vague on their own, so going to lecture helps. Grade based on 4 tests only (optional final, drop lowest test).
Dr. Marx is a good professor and is very passionate about teaching psychology. There are 5 test but your grade is based on your 4 best test scores. He DOESNT give study guides for the test you gotta work to get the grade you want. Tips on the class pay attention to examples he uses as they are on the test and his questions are senerio based
Yoo, I love this professor. His lectures are interesting and easy to remember because he applies them to his personal life and gives realistic examples. You are only graded on 4 tests, the lowest test(5) is dropped. He does not give study guides so if you just study the terms in the textbook and understand your lecture notes you should get an A.
Pros: Dr. Marx's lively personality translates to engaging lectures. He keeps material interesting and test-relevant. Cons: NO study guides for exams that make up your entire score. That's right 5 tests; lowest dropped. Good news, no homework and a super streamlined course; bad news if you have poor exam results there are no back-up points.
Grade only consists of 3 test grades, 1 dropped. You definitely have to study well to do good on exams, but if you study they are pretty straightforward. You also should take good notes and show up to lecture. I read the book because I feel like it helped clarify the material and he would give a lot of test questions based on book material.
Honestly one of the best professors at SDSU. 4 midterms & one optional final. That's it. No homework, which is kinda risky but I liked it. He replaces your worst midterm grade with the final grade. I aced all midterms tho, so I didn't even have to take it. Don't skip class, his notes are all in the exams. Also, study chapter vocabulary. Easiest A.
Marx is funny and makes the content enjoyable and relatable. Graded by just 4 midterms and an optional final so passing the class is attainable if you study just a bit.
Um I guess I'm the only person giving Marx an iffy rating. I am taking this class completely online and I find it super hard. I started off well on the first quiz and have been in a downward spiral since then. This class has like 5 quizzes, 3 Midterms, and 2 papers. Midterms are long paragraph questions with only 1.5 hours to complete. Hard class!
Took his online class and this clss was the biggest pain in my life. Hated every bit of it. Stressed me like no other. I'm a good student, always get good grades and this class, JUST NO. U need to pay SUPER attention to lec. details, LONG exams(50 quest), LONG questions, LIMITED time. If you're majoring in Psych then Its for you, if not, save urslf
Grade is based off 3 midterms, 4 quizzes, and 2 easy papers.I really enjoyed his in person lectures a lot. He engages a lot with the students in-person and gives analogies for every phenomenon really well. free pdf for textbook online. if you're a psych major you should definitely take a class with Professor Marx.
Obviously really cares about his students and always made lectures interesting and engaging. Online tests were fairly straightforward. Would definitely recommend taking his class.
This class was half in person and half online but he cancels class a decent amount and all the quizzes and exams are online. The content is interesting, but the class lacks structure. There are two essays and there's hardly any instructions, and you go into the exams completely blind, aside from chapters covered. The questions are long.
Our class was suppose to be half in person and exams and quizzes online (but that changed after our first exam). Get ready to read! Exams are mainly scenario based and he uses details from the book and his lectures. You're graded on 2 papers, 3 exams, and a few quizzes, THATS IT! Overall super nice and kind guy, he really wanted the best for us!
One of the best professors I've had at State so far! Dr. Marx really cares about engaging his students in his lectures. He makes sure people are following along during his lectures and doesn't just read off the powerpoint slides.
Each exam question is 1/2 paragraph with irrelevant verbage that convolutes the question being asked with not enough time. He admitted to purposely wording answers similarly to make it that much more difficult and tied that into a psychology lesson in itself. Really? This class makes me feel like an abused lab rat not a respected student. SKIP!
It's an okay class; midterms are in person, scenario based and are a huge part of your grade. Few quizzes and two papers.
One of the best professors I've had at state. Lectures are funny, interesting, and engaging. Grade is based on 2 papers, 3 exams and 4 quizzes. Exams are difficult and require you to read the textbook. You really have to work for the A, but it is SO satisfying in the end to earn that grade. Highly recommend.
This class was a bit difficult for me, but he overall was a good professor. I would read the textbook as often as possible to understand topics. He was super approachable to go to and helpful. He gets you to think deeply about topics and is pretty engaging in lectures. I would recommend his class.
Didn't show up to class. Studied off pre-made quizlets. Got an A. Lots of material, LOTS of memorization. Don't take it unless you're willing to put in the work.
best psy professor. 4 exams, 10 quizzes & 1 paper. lectures are very interesting i would definitely take the any class he has.
Super kind professor and definitely cares about the subject and his students. You're only graded on 4 midterms and 1 paper so you really just have to do well on those to get a good grade in the class. Tests are a bit difficult.
he's a good professor & is passionate about the subject. you either need to show up to class or read the book to pass. it was hard for me to get the motivation to get up for a 9:30am class so i just read the book. overall, if you just put in the time & work, you'll pass.
Super interesting class, and he's pretty engaging. He doesn't make the class difficult as long as you pay attention. There is a paper at the end, but other than that assignments are easy.
Test heavy class. They were not very difficult and all of the questions were pretty straight forward. If you read the textbook and at least watch some of the lectures you'll be fine.
Great lecturer, knew what he was talking about, and always gave extra credit on tests. Will pass if you absorb the readings and lectures, reading the textbook is a must if you want to do well. Need to think critically and apply what he's lecturing. The more the class engages the better the lecture will be, he likes engaging students
Great class, Dr. Marx is a good lecturer, but I ended with one point off an A- and he wouldn't bump me up. It's my fault, but not being given just one point tells you what kind of teacher he is.
One of my favorite professors I've ever had. His exams are tough, but if you read the textbook and go to the lectures, you'll be fine. Tests more on concepts than rote memorization, so def need to study tho. He's so funny and nice, and he definitely wants you to succeed. Grade is only the 4 exams, a few quizzes, and one paper. Def recommend!
wont understand a thing if you dont go to lectures. you can get by without reading the book but i dont recommend. no make-up exams or dropped exam score; NOT forgiving if you miss something/are late. material makes sense and he teaches very well. not boring at all. posts no study material for exams and is very unhelpful honestly
