he barely showed up to class, and we only had 1 quiz and a final. if you are fine with not learning a thing and you just want a good grade without taking anything away from the class, then missirian's for you!
Doesn't teach anything. Grade is on one test which you are expected to know stuff he didn't teach.
He really knows the material that he teaches, and uses great examples that will stick in your head. His T/F exams may sometimes be a little tricky.
class will be fun, but the grade you get won't be.
Class will be interesting. The one test he gives will be very vague and you will not do good at all on it.
avoid this guy. class will be fun, grade won't be.
Class was interesting and actually kinda fun. The final was very vague and the grade people expect is not necessarily the grade they will get. Don't remember if he scales, but a 2.3 would be doing well with this guy
freakin tricky tests but you'll learn a lot in this class...plus he's fun
like other people said, you will learn a lot, because he beats every concept to death. but you won't enjoy the grade. his quizzes are tricky. Also..he talks like a donkey...so sit in the back.
Intelligent, funny guy. He has a lot of energy and it helps to make the material more interesting. His tests are indeed all T/F and can be tricky but it's to be expected. He's a lawyer so for him, it's all about the details. If you pay attention to what the question really says, you'll do fine.
Interesting class, he is a lawyer, so he walks around the class like he would in a court room. He kept me awake even though it was an 8:30 class. Tests are all T/F and some Fill Ins, some questions are tricky, but not bad at all. Take him, he's a good guy and a good teacher.
Real estate law class was great. He is a lawyer, but will explain things until you REALLY understand it. He is all about the details! T/F are good, but tricky. Remember, if its not true in ALL cases, its false.
This teacher is a great lecturer - kinda makes you feel like you are in a court room at times! T/F can be a little tricky - need to read very carefully and takes lots of notes. Overall this was a fun evening class and got out early a few times.
Awesome guy, makes class very enjoyable and intresting. He is a laywer so it feels like your in a courtroom sometimes when hes is lecturing. Tests are the only downside to this class as they are all True and False with a few fill ins and can be very tricky. You really have to make sure that EVERY detail is true. Would take again.
Such a good class! I took this summer session and it was defintely very interesting. If you're going to take a law class make sure you get him
He is a great teacher> it was the only class where I didnt fall asleep... His exams are true or false, very very tricky... confusing... Still he is amazing
Very good class. Hes very entertaining and very clear. I got a 3.0 and didnt do any of the readings. But his tests are tricky. I got a 90 on the final. you have to go to class.
Very good guy but tests are EXTREMELY tricky. You can study a lot but still do poorly b/c of the wording. All his tests are T/F. Don't expect anything higher then a 3.0 - 3.3, but you will learn alot
I took a summer class with him, he has 20+ year of real world experience - take advantage of it -it doesn't get any better than that. he knows what he's talking about and he knows how to pass his knowledge on to his students.
One word, Awful!
This prof is amazing! Seriously if you think he's hard in GB103, then try LA311 it is a tough class but you will actually learn something for a change and he is extremely interesting. If you are thinking about going into Law as a profession, defintely take him! SO AWESOME
Had class at 5PM and didn't fall asleep once... this guy is awesome; his sense of humor is priceless. grades are based on only 3 tests, so you need to know your****...one poor test grade can ruin your final GPA for this class. Definitely worth taking though!!!
The first day of class we held a mock trial. He was an old grandmother, we were all questioning her. It was the best introductory class ever. Missirian makes law, a usually mundane topic, extremely interesting. True/False tests are tricky, but ask him any question and he'll answer it. Definately the best prof. to take if you want to learn.
Terrible Professor. His classes are OKAY and he does make it fun but his tests are extremely difficult and he grades very tough. You will never get anything about a 3.3 in this class. Stay away from his monster.
3 Tests. Pay attention to words like "always", and, or, sometimes, UCC, common law, etc. He's really funny, kept me up at 8:30AM. Pay attention at all times b/c he calls on you (and he knows who is out of it) and makes you answer his questions. You can easily look like an idiot. Doesnt accept "I dont know" for an answer. But you will learn a lot!
Very good and interesting professor. 3 tests (true or false, some fill in the blank) and that's what your grade is based upon. Willing to help when students needed it. Take good notes in class and refer to the text every now and then.
Great teacher! keeps you awake even at 8:30 in the morning! Awesome lectures. he seems tough because your grade is based on 3 tests but if you read you'll do alright. Plus he adds in participation. Take him.
Awesome teacher, makes class interesting, tests are tricky but they are T/F. Make sure you know exact words, Def recommend taking him
He is the best prof. I have ever had. fun, full of info, just awesome! too bad he doesn't teach all the classes at Bentley...:-).
My favorite teacher so far! No pop quizzes, and the three tests (one of which is the final) are almost all true-false questions. Very interesting and hilarious prof. I highly recommend him!
grades a little tough but is by far the best teacher ive had so far
As previously stated, hard to get an A but it is worth taking the class. His examples are so interesting and clear that you wont want to do anything else than listening to him during class.
Great guy, funny and interesting, keeps you awake, but you're not going to like the grade. In order to get higher than a 3.0 you need to know literally everything in the notes word for word, don't take him unless you want to spend hours studying a small amount of material just to get an A- or A.
You can easily get by without the book. He does play favorites even though he says he doesn't. Some kids don't need to be consistent to get good grades.
He is a great guy. He definitely keeps you up for an 8:30AM class. Very funny guy. He gives 3 true false tests, but they are very tricky.
He's a really great guy. His examples get everyone interested in the material, so the class is never boring. However, you get 2 True/False quizzes and a final. All of them are very tricky, and unless you've memorized every defintion word for word, you will never get an A. He's a really cool guy, but if you're looking for a 3.7-4.0, avoid.
He's a really nice professor. His examples are funny keeps you entertained. True/False quizzes are tricky also make sure you don't reply to him that "You dont know" he hates that. If you want a 3.7-4.0 avoid him because he doesn't give you the grade you really expect for his class.
this guy seems like a really nice guy for most of the semester, but he screws you on your final grade. he is very funny but if u dont no the answer to a Q, he will embarrass you in front of the whole class. tests are true/false, but they are very, VERY hard.
Awesome professor! Take him! His classes are entertaining. You have to study and know the material to get a good grade on his T/F tests (tricky!). But you really do learn. Not a class for people who just want to sleep or have an easy class. You will enjoy it regardless. I changed my schedule around just so I'd have him next semester.
Loved this professor. Great guy, and really keeps you entertained with his examples. Two T/F tests which you should do well on if you take good notes in class and study them for even 20 minutes. Final was a little harder, but you CAN get a 3.7/4.0 with very little effort, unlike others have said. (I got a 3.7 and barely studied)
You'll soon realize that Bentley has VERY FEW good professors. Prof. Missirian is one of those few. He is the epitome of what a good professor should be. He has inspired me to minor in Law and his teaching style is absolutely unmatched. You will benefit so much from taking any of his courses. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM! AWESOME GUY!
Have now had him twice, one of the best professors at bentley, funny, keeps class interesting, tests aren't as hard as others say. Most are common sense
A very unfair man. You think you're going to get an A, then the man throws makes your final exam online with twice as many questions as a regular exam to screw you over. I would not recommend him.
This professor is great. Take his classes, and enjoy his teaching style. His T/F tests are not hard if you study his notes, and make your own notes of what you think the answer should be on the test. If your T/F choice is wrong, he will read an explanation. Great Guy.
Although its a very cliche statement, he is in my opinion one of the best teachers I've ever had. There is not much written work to be done, but its ok because everyone still learns the material through his lectures which are never boring. Good sense of humor, down to earth, approachable, and doesn't spend time on useless garbage. Take him for 110
Great teacher! One of the few classes I enjoyed going to. He delivers entertaining lectures, and is constantly interacting with students throughout them. Definately knows what he is talking about, and always welcomes questions throughout class.
Overall great professor. I highly recommend this guy. Midterm can be kind of tricky b/c true and false, but final is online and was very easy. There is also one project and a few extra credit assignments. Really knows his**** (and yes he would approve of me cursing). Great real world stories help you retain the information better.
Prof. Missirian is a very good professor and makes the subject interesting and easy to learn. You should pay attention during class because he randomly calls on people. (I'm the ONE student he calls on at least twice in one period but I don't mind) Tests are 30 questions T/F and straightforward. Take his class!
Honestly one of the greatest teachers at Bentley. He makes law interesting, and he gives very little work. Tests are not hard if you pay attention in class and look over his notes that he posts online.
Missirian is a very good professor who knows his stuff. He makes class very interesting and is passionate about the subject,. His tests are very tricky though, sometimes too tricky which effects your grade.
Hilarious, intelligent, engaging. Favorite professor at Bentley hands down. No need for textbook, just take notes on his lectures. He stresses important info, and after a couple classes you'll catch on. Can't say enough good about him as prof and helpful resource.
Great teacher! He was definitely one of my favorites. He has a different teaching style, but his class isn't too much work. Only 2 tests + a final, & the 2nd test was open book, open notes, & online. Definitely keeps you awake. Participation is huge.
One of the funniest teachers I've ever had. I actually looked forward to coming to class. Take notes on what he says and you'll be fine. His tests are hard but if you go to his office hours he helps you out a lot. At the end of the semester your grade is heavily influenced by effort and improvement. Great class, I would take it over again.
Missirian is the best professor I have ever had. He tells you exactly what he expects of you and he is the most fair educator I have ever encountered. If you don't take him, you're crazy!
Super freaking enthusiastic. Tells hilarious anecdotes about his old cases. Also talks about the more serious side of treating people fairly and how he has to handle giving free advice and freeloaders. One of my best 3 professors for sure.
Very compelling and passionate about the subjects he teaches. Never a dull moment with this professor, and the course is very educational, but not easy.
Not too many assignments, tests are simple to study for since they are based off everything discussed in class, tests can also be tricky because they're all true/false and he makes 'em hard. Very good teacher though, a must take!
This professor is definitely a must take for GB110. He is currently practicing law,so he always tells stories about his experiences in class. Tests are based off of class discussions, true false. They are not too difficult, because he lets you provide explanations along with your answer. One of my favorite professors!
This class is extremely interesting and I enjoy it but I would not reccomend him because the tests are impossible. 30 true and false questions that are extremely picky. If you don't have everything memorized you will have a tough time getting a 3.0. Easier 110 professors out there.
Very enjoyable class to be in. Prof Missirian makes it a lot of fun and he is pretty straight forward with what he expects on test. Not everyone does the readings, but I would recommend it.
I would best compare this teacher to the "principal" in the movie Accepted. That is his personality - very passionate, sarcastic and funny. I do find his tests unfair and rather difficult for a law class of this level at a business school. They are tricky and he tells you he tries to trick you. Your grade is also solely based on the tests so...
Professor's exams are difficult and tricky; class is very helpful and interesting; take lots of notes and pay attention. I recommend this course.
There's a very small work load and it's so much easier than the other gb110 teachers. He says it like it is and wants the same in return (used to be a lawyer, goes past the bs)
I absolutely reccomend this professor. His class is very interesting, very entertaining and I learn alot. The readings are not required because he goes over everything in class. Quizzes can be difficult, but if you pay attention its not hard. TAKE HIM!
Need to read cases before classes because he will call on you in class. Exams are hard, got 62, 78,88 for the threes exams. got a 3.0, which was much higher than expectation. studied really hard and i ended up well.
Great professor, no need to read the text if you show up to class and take notes. However if you don't you might have a hard time . Great job of explaining the material makes it easier to understand and gives good examples. Have to pay very close attention to detail on tests, they are hard but so is the material. Id recommend him.
Professor Missirain is one of my best professors and makes the class a lot of fun. That being said his tests are hard and he tries to trick you.
Prof Missirian is the best prof I have ever had in my life! He is so passionate and hilarious! His test s are very tricky but I do believe he is the best law teacher here at Bentley. TAKE HIS CLASS!!
He's a very good teacher, and I learned a lot from his class;however his tests are very hard and they are designed to trick you. He gives you 30 true false questions on every test except the final which is 60 true false and an essay. If you're good at true false then I would recommend him, but if you're not, then I wouldn't.
Really great professor. This was my 2nd class with him. He knows the material very well. He cares a great deal about his students and works hard to make sure they're understanding the material. I wish I could take more classes with him. One of the best I've encountered at Bentley so far.
Great class to take at Bentley for MSA students looking for an elective to take while they work full time! No outside work required so long as you take great notes during class. You can also save yourself ~$150 by not buying the book. His lectures can be very fast-paced so you have to focus the whole time.
tests are all true false
He knows his stuff about Law, his examples of real life trials he has been a part of always help you learn the course material. Class is very engaging and one of the few I have actually enjoyed going to. I would take him again in a heart beat. Tests are all true false, but if you pay attention, he tells you EXACTLY what is going to be on them.
He is a former lawyer so he knows his stuff. Two exams and a final. They are TrueFalse but he won't hand you a 4.0. If you study your notes and put in the effort, you will be fine. Super easy to talk to if you are struggling.
Such a sweet and funny guy. Tells awesome, relatable stories since he is a lawyer himself. Shares funny stories about his personal life and marriage. Definitely need to go to class to do well, since all of his exams are based on what he says in class. Reading definitely helps, but paying attention more important. Really passionate & caring!
he is by far the best teacher i have ever had. his lectures are great and he tries to get the class involved. his tests are tough because they are true false but other than that we didnt have one homework assignment. you must read in order to pass the tests but he has so must experience in law and he makes the class so personable and easy
Fantastically entertaining and filled with knowledge, anyone who has had a class with Professor Missirian would be more than happy to take his class again.
Awesome professor. Really interesting! take the time to meet him!
Missirian is one of the best professors I have ever had. TF tests aren't hard, you can explain why you chose the answer you did and can still get credit. Intimidating at first but very knowledgable and enthusiastic about what he does. Don's buy the book, just used notes in class and got an A. Taking another class with him this semester!
super helpful and funny. test are very simple tf. you just have to listen and take notes in class. his tests arent tricky, although he claims they are, you just need to read critically the question.
super funny, entertaining lectures. very clear about the material. A little slow but doesnt mind pushing back the exams if he isnt caught up with his plan. pretty much disregard the syllabus just ask him what to read.
He's a super tricky professor with T & F tests. He's very passionate about what he does and is really nice.
I absolutely love Missirian. All of you turd who gave him bad ratings is because you didn't actually pay attention. He gives two 30 T or F exams, and one 60 question final. If you just take notes, listen, and hear his awesome stories, you will do fine. Also just put in around 2 or 3 hours of study per test, and you will be good. Take it.
Really smart guy but horrible class. He claims evry word in a definition is important and yet there is no consistency between what he says and the book definitions. Test questions r unfair, full of grammar and punctuation errors to the point where his sentences r not even english. Don't take. Hard af, no law class at Bentley should be this hard.
Skip the average comment below and go to 4/23/2015. Missirian is an incredible professor and his lectures are amazing. This is one of the few classes you will look forward to going to based on his real stories! Class is structured well and if you take notes and focus on what he is trying to trip you on the exam, you will be fine
Professor Missirian is one of the best of the best. I would take any class he teaches. His classes are hard work, but you learn a tremendous amount from him. Rock on.
Avoid at all costs. Worst t/f online tests. Unhelpful. I think he does not genuinely care about his students. You cannot even ask questions in class he will probably ignore you when you raise your hand most of the time.
Great Professor - Interesting lectures. But he is tricky. If you take him for law you need to ignore your heart while taking exams. Because he will tug on the heart strings to make you want to move one way when the answer is the other way.
Best GB110 instructor, perhaps one of the best instructors at Bentley. Great stories, barely any homework, great guy, highly recommend.
Very smart. He knows his stuff for sure. Is a good teacher. Is incredibly specific when grading. Class is way too difficult for what it should be at Bentley. Compared to other GB110 classes this one is ridiculously hard. Avoid him just to save your grade. You will learn a lot if you pay attention but unless you work ur ass off ur grade will suffer.
Great instructor. Great guy. Definitely one of the best at Bentley. Highly recommend. The only thing is the true/false tests are really hard.
He's by far my favorite professor at Bentley, he has a way of explaining things that make them incredibly easy to understand and remember. If you miss his class you probably wont understand the material, but if you go to every class and listen, you'll pass easily and quite possibly learn to love law as well.
Great great guy! Classes are fun and interesting. With that said, this was my worst class. I did not do much work so that was nice, but his tests are hard. His test are T/F, but HARD. If you don't know a law perfectly, his questions will be 99% right but the right answer will be false, has to be 100% right, so you should study a lot!
I really enjoyed this class. He makes the lectures really entertaining. If you miss class often, you definitely won't do well on the exams because all questions are based on his lectures. The entire grade is based on 2 exams, all T/F questions and a final which is T/F and an essay. 4.0 is basically impossible, but a 3.3 or 3.7 is attainable.
One of the best professors at Bentley. If you take notes during class and go to his office hours, you can easily get a 3.7/4.0. He makes law really interesting with his good jokes, and stories. Would definitely take again if i could.. TAKE HIM!!!!!!
His lectures are engaging and interesting. You are graded on 2 tests, all true and false, as well as a final that is true false plus an essay. There is also one paper at the end of the semester which is key to your grade. Very hard to get a 4.0, but 3.7 is doable.
Prof. Missirian is one of the most amazing professors at Bentley. He goes above and beyond for his students, ensuring that those who come to him for help are given all of the help that they need and more. He inspired me to pursue law after taking the course and helped to get me the resources I need. I plan to take him again in the Fall.
He can teach the material and be funny at the same time. Not many professors can accomplish that. You have to show up to class and read the textbook if you want to do well. Exams are true/false, one writing assignment (depending on class average) for extra-credit. He was also forgiving when I was going through some rough patches, which is a major +
Prof. Missirian was not a good teacher in my opinion. He often did not respond to students's emails, questions, or request and did not explain well the materials or did not cover all the materials that he should have. He ended classes usually early without much teaching and he did not seem to care much about students's learning. Very disappointing.
Missirian is a living legend. Class is always engaging and interesting, and Missirian describes the law in a very clear way through examples. A 4.0 is very hard but a 3.7 is possible. Take him if you want to know the law. Trust me he will teach you how to be unboxable.
Professor Missirian is an interesting guy. He tells the best stories in class, but don't just sit there and laugh. Take good notes. There's only two tests, but both are mostly on classroom notes and very tricky. Read questions carefully! Definitely go to office hours. Missirian responds to emails very fast. Overall, really amazing teacher.
Funny guy, makes it easy for you. The class is lecture heavy with alot of real world examples and stories about his personal life. For better or worse, he is one of the most well-known professors at Bentley.
One of the best professors I have had at Bentley! His lectures are fun/entertaining and class with go by in a breeze, but make sure you take good notes. He cold calls during class, so just make sure you read the assigned case(s) for homework and you'll be fine! I will definitely take him again if I have the chance!
Professor Missirian was the best professor I have taken at Bentley so far (finishing my freshman year). I had him as an 8 am and he wakes up the class with his booming voice and his incredible sense of humor. Pay attention in class and do the readings and you will get a good grade in the class.
When I first heard his lecture during orientation week I knew I had to take him as a Prof. I barely got into his class but it was totally worth it. His lectures are all memorable and not like any other professors lectures. Hilarious and smart! "KNOW THE LAW" and you will be fine. Take solid notes. Essays kinda unclear, doesn't review. Actual legend
Great Professor, loved every second of his class. He made a rather boring subject really interesting with his personal story. Will definitely take any classes he teaches in the future
Prof Missirian really cares about his students and will do almost anything to make sure you understand the material and do well in his class. If you show up and participate, you will do well in the class. He is responsive to emails and uses a lot of stories to help illustrate the content. Fun class and would take again.
Best professor you can take for 110. Must show to class because tests are mainly based on his lectures but you will get an A if you take good notes. Always ready to help and meet during office hours, such a sweetheart and so understanding. TAKE HIM !!
Grade breakdown: Test 1 25%, Test 2 25%, Final 45%. Last 5% is Participation. First 2 Tests all T/F questions, Final has T/F and one essay where you apply law to a scenario. No need for the textbook since all his tests rely on lectures. He gives you what you need to succeed. If you take good notes, take him. Otherwise, your GPA might take a dive.
Professor Missirian is an amazing professor! I really enjoyed his style of teaching! He teaches by applying real-life or hypothetical stories to explain concepts, which I think sticks really well with students. I wouldnt call it cold calling but he calls on students to answer usually yes or no questions, to engage students, so dont overthink it
Is not really accessible outside of class. You have to text him, email, and remind him if you want to meet. His class is really enjoyable. I had an 8 am and was never bothered as his classes went by really fast. He was more accessible online. You just have to be alert with the true or false. Go to office hours and he will boost your grade a lot.
David Missirian is an amazing professor. He cares so much about his students and always makes it so clear that he wants to help us as best as he can. All you need to do to pass his class is pay attention to his lectures and take good notes. He's always there if you need extra help and gives hardly any work. He's always incredibly funny. TAKE HIM!!!
Took him the COIVD semester (Jan-Mar in person, Apr-May online), and I'm glad I took him. He's a loud speaker and calls on people at random, but is fun in doing so and sets you up to get the answer. He moves the entire class and makes the class laugh and definitely keeps everyone awake even at 8AM. 2 tests and a final exam are mostly True/False!!
Great professor. GB110 can be hard but he draws from his experience to give good examples. Lectures are fun to watch and even though this was through zoom he cared a lot about the students. Our class did bad on the first exam but he let us do a retake. T/F tests but they are not easy so be careful when studying. Took a little long to grade paper.
Good dude, sometimes makes sexist comments. Knows a lot about real estate law. IF YOU SKIP CLASS, YOU WONT PASS. Grade consist of 3 tests and most of the questions are from class. Tests are hard- only true or false, but open book and notes. Always answers questions. Would recommend if you want to get your real estate license bc he helps w that too
Listen up im going to keep it 100 with all of you incoming freshmen. Dude is a great guy. However, the course is literally 2 true and false tests and the final exam, which is also true/false. you will do poorly. very poorly. Bad teaching style but you can tell hes a good guy at heart. You wont get the grade you expect for anything.
Got my first B ever. Straight A + student. The professor seemed nice during class and I thought i would get an extra credit opportunity or some extra points because i never missed a class and was in touch with the professor a lot. Got totally dissapointed! The tests are tricky and my gpa went down because of this class.
Biggest mistake taking this professor. He is positive in class and gives you hopes but at the end of the semester your grade wont be anywhere you would want it to be. Exams only true/false and very tricky. Would not recommend!
Professor Missirian truly cares about his students. His lectures are entertaining. The only way to get an A or A- in this class is by GOING TO OFFICE HOURS. Grades are two true-false exams, a paper, and a final exam that is true-false. The questions on the exams are all trick questions. This class is definitely a challenge.
You wont get a grade higher than B if you dont go to office hours. Exams are hard and he is a tough grader. Emailed with the professor a couple times for extra credit and he tried being cool about the grade but at the end didnt give me any extra credit. Dissapointed on this professor! Dont expect a high grade if you get him.
Great Professor, very funny and makes class exciting. The tests are a bit challenging given they are all true/false. One extra credit paper is given towards the end of semester in addition to a final paper that is mandatory. Overall, cares about his students and is accessible outside the classroom for help/questions. Definitely recommend!
Definitely not boring! He's a lawyer so he used some personal case stories to explain concepts. Tests are kind of hard - all true/false but very specific. One tiny flaw & whole thing is false. However, if you have reasoning why you think its one answer but aren't positive, you can email him reasonings to consider and sometimes gives points back).
Prof Missirian is so passionate about law. It is lecture heavy but he makes it fun and he's funny. 3 tests, all true or false, but based on the notes so take notes. GO TO OFFICE HOURS that is how you do well. 1 paper 30% of the grade on a law case, pretty difficult but he's helpful. Graded by a few things need to do well on the tests to get an A
Professor Missirian is AMAZING. Class is entertaining, and he uses real life stories to explain law concepts. Tests are all true false but don't be fooled. The scenarios are tricky and you have to put in the work, but he lets you explain your thinking process. I can't recommend him enough. GB110 is tough but Missirian is WORTH IT!! PARTICIPATE!!
Missirian give some of the best lectures, I had no problem sitting through them. You need to attend class and office hours to get a good grade because that is when he gives answers to the exam questions. Exams are all true/false and they are tricky but if you study they aren't hard.
I LOVE HIM. some may say he is tricky because all his test are true or false, but if you listen, take notes, and review you will be totally fine! This is by far my favorite class because he is so energetic and fun to listen to. Like what other professor runs around, yells, and makes weird sound effects the whole time. It is so easy to stay engaged!
Amazing at speaking and is really good inside of class. Outside of class, he is unreachable. Class participation grades are just guesses. Sometimes that way he grades his tests are crazy unreasonable and he even had a question worded like his PowerPoint and marked it wrong. Class is enjoyable but stupidly inconsistent and makes me dislike law.
Professor Missirian makes this class very lecture heavy when it doesn't have to be. While he does have a great law background and it brings it to the classroom, he often goes off on tangents. His tests are 30 or more true/false questions and tend to be pretty tricky. He's bad at responding to emails and doesn't know any of his students names.
He is a very funny kind and caring guy. My class had 2 tests, 2 writing assignments, and a final. All tests (including final) are true and false. His tests are "tricky" however he gives opportunity to get some points back.
Very funny guy, but does not give relevant examples. Don't take him or LA210 just don't (really trying to help you out here) unless you plan to major in law.
Missirian's class was one of my favorites this semester because he makes the content interesting and engaging. Really funny guy who wants students to succeed. Not much hw, just two papers towards the end of the semester. 3 exams that are all true/false (including final). Hard to reach outside class but definitely recommend taking!
Professor M is an absolute baller. He's really funny/entertaining and describes almost every topic with a story that helps you remember. With that being said, do not take this class if you're looking for an easy A. DO take the class if you care about the subject or are willing to put some effort in. Nothing on quizlet, but you will learn a lot
Very funny guy. He'll go off in tangents a lot so the class is funny. The first few weeks there was no work and we just listened. 2 tests, 2 papers, and the final. Tests are all true/false but hard. Hard to study for and expects you to spend a lot of time on the paper. You have to work hard by yourself. Preoccupied with his lawyer job. won't email
Chill, no bs guy and he is reasonable. Gives you a week to take the tests which are T/F but are very specific so its not like it's easy and gives you credit if the answer you choose was wrong but you had a valid reason to why you choose it. His lectures arnet as great as I like since its really just him talking about the slides so take notes
He is a great choice for GB110, and he knows the material well and has interesting lectures every class. His tests are all true/false but are extremely difficult, so make sure to memorize the material. He has two writing assignments that are 30% of your grade, but the tests are 70%. Most people do well on the tests, but you need to study for an A.
He is super engaging and makes the material memorable by telling stories related to the topic. His tests are all open notes and multiple choice, having good notes will really help you to do well. He will cold call but as long as you have been paying attention the answers are obvious so it isnt a big deal
Best professor at Bentley. Such a great guy and super funny. Classes are all lectures but they are super engaging and intriguing. Will def be taking more classes with Prof Missirian in the future and would 1000% recommend him to anyone. He really cares about his students and goes way out of his way to make sure you understand the content.
I took him for 110 and 311 and will be taking him again for 210. He is so funny and clear with his lectures. Exams are take home and you have a week to do them. If you show him you care about the class and doing good, he is generous with grading. Love this guy!
Great Professor. His lectures are really funny and engaging. His exams are a little difficult but if you take good notes and read the book its really easy. Plus he gives you a lot of time to do them. He took attendance once and didnt take it again; you really shouldn't skip tho since he tells you whats gonna be on exams.
Prof. Missirian is a great LA 100 professor. Tests are tricky because they're all T/F, but if you show up to class and take good notes, you'll do fine.
So nice. Graded by 2 tests, a paper, and then the final. You have to show up and take notes if you want to pass because many of the quiz questions are based around his lectures.
He is the reason I am motivated to go to class. His stories make it so much easier to understand the concepts he is explaining and he makes cool sound effects that keep me concentrated on the lesson. He is hands down my favorite professor at Bentley. He is so relatable and he actually cares tbh he is the GOAT
I would go to war for this prof
Dude is hilarious. Easy grader, super flexible, cares a ton. Take him.
He is so nice, the class is interesting, and the exam are easy, if you pay attention and take good notes.
TAKE MISSIRIAN!! He's extremely funny and personable. Lectures are extremely interesting as he brings up his own legal experience as a practicing attorney. While his tests may prove challenging, you should be alright if you study.
Just take him
I love this man with my whole heart. He's so funny and personable and wants the absolute best for his students. All quizzes/tests are open note and you can email him your reasoning for your answers so even if the answer is wrong if your explanation is fair to him, you'll still get points on any quiz/exam. super understanding and an easy class
He has a humorous approach during his lectures and is accessible outside of class as well. However, he tends to read directly from the slides, so you'll need to study from the textbook on your own to prepare for exams.
An engaging professor who brings legal insights and humor to the class. Exams may be challenging, but studying the textbook and using resources like Unstuck study can help prepare. A great choice for an interesting, manageable LA100 experience.
The tests are hard so pay attention to the readings and his lectures
He was not originally supposed to teach this class but he stepped in. He is very easy and understanding, all our exams were take home and open notes. We also had the week off from classes to study when we had an exam. If you ever emailed him he responded fast. Would definitely recommend him.
I am not sure why his score is so high. He is very nice and funny but his lectures are all over the place. He was not originally supposed to teach this class so I would not recommend this specific class with him.
Love the guy. The tests are challenging so make sure to study. There are only 3 tests in the semester and 1 group paper so they are all weighted heavily. Missirian's lectures are also really interesting since he has a humorous approach and tells a bunch of stories. Overall, highly recommend taking him!
A really funny prof, as long as you do your work youre fine. Take home exams. Dont need to dump money on anything for his class
I tried so hard believe me to get an A finished with a A-, took him for an easy A but no. his final exam had questions never even spoken about
Very great professor. The class is very lecture-heavy, but he is engaging. A lot of homework and reading. However, he is very understanding and will make sure you understand the material. I encourage you to go to his office hours if you need help, as he really wants to ensure that you grasp the topics.
Great man very inspirational. however, the tests were insanely hard because they were worded in such a confusing way. you also can physically not cheat in this class because it's gonna be wrong every time.
he is the goat. so funny, doesn't take attendance. he talks the entire time. grade consists of two exams which are online and a final.
