I took professor Moton the fall of 2002. Probably the only English 1A teacher who could make me look forward to going to a class and learn the evil MLA format. Great teacher who motivates and makes learning fun. Matt P.

He is very handsome teacher. I looked foward going to class. Very interestig umbrella topic. WE learned about Mass media. It was fun. His MLA book was helpful and it still is. I loved fight club and white noise. A great Engllish teacher, so COOL&Young.

I took Moton for Eng B1a and Engl B1b, definately the coolest teacher to ever roam the campus of Bakersfield College. His shoes are just as cool as he is, and he's hysterical to listen to. He's also extremely helpful and easy to understand and relate to.

I also took Master Moton for 1a and now 1b. He has really opened my eyes about appreciating different types of literature. If you really want to learn to be a better writer, Moton is the Man.

Moton Rocks, man his sister is nice as well his brother is cool and is a nice prof to have and learn the ethics and language of english.

I took his mass media class and loved it. He does wear some pretty interesting shoes and the movies that we had to watch were "awesome" in the words of MOton. Even the poems were interesting! Very funny and young. I highly recommend him

He may be cool in person, but he is really picky in his online course. He grades harshly, and I think he grades his online course harder than his regular one. From the sound of what everyone else says...take the on campus course or another professor

Master Moton is the best. It is impossible for anyone not to like Mr. Moton. He is extremely helpful, and his discussions are the bomb. Highly recommended.

He made us read Catch 22 and for that I'll never forgive him....but otherwise he's totally cool. I took him in the summer and got an A. He's awsome. I'd recommend him to anyone. good luck in classes!

Moton's class was very entertaining. When preparing for an essay he has a library week where you dont have to go to class!! Hes very helpful and the content is very down to earth. We read fight club and stuff on the media in our lives. I loved the class and got an A!!

Very knowledgable and extremely helpful. Requires a lot of work and a lot of reading but as long as you do your assignments getting a good grade is not a problem. Highly recommend!

This is a pretty good class. Smart guy, really knows his stuff. Keeps it interesting. There's a lot of work, but it all helps you write a good paper in the end. He's really funny and has a lot of interesting stuff to say, but this class really is his soapbox - it's almost all lectures, not much class discussion. i'd still recommend him though.

Master Moton is hands down the best english prof at BC! So funny and laid back! But, don't be fooled, he does expect you to work for your grade. Know your MLA, your grade will suffer if you dont use it properly. He's very helpful and approachable. Loved his choices, we got to read Fight Club!

Mr. Moton Rocks!! He is funny and laid back. He does expect a lot from his students and yes, you do have to work for your grade, but he is right beside you the whole way through. I took this class Online, and my other classes suffered because there is so much work. But, overall he is fantastic! Any Engl 1A class will be a ton of work. I got an "A".

Professor Moton is AWESOME! he shows his students the truth about corporations and other important subjects. your are guaranteed to walk out of there with more knowledge than you went in with! although you actually have to work for your grade(wow imagine that!)professor moton is there to help you 150%! take him if you an interesting class!

Prof. Moton is very hard he gives alot of HW but his class is very interesting because he is funny and teaches about corporations taking over our country. only 3 papers but they best be perfect to get a good grade. spend pleanty of time doing the HW and papers don't procrastinate

Class was very labor intensive but hard work pays off. Very nice guy. Funny and personable. Listen (or read) carefully to all of his guidelines and examples and you will do fine. I worked my ass off and was the top student in his class with only a 91% for my final grade. So pay attention and do all homework!

Professor Moton is awesome. He is super funny but his work is pretty tough.DO NOT PROCRASTINATE. If you take him make sure you do all of the assignment and RESEARCH as much as you can when he assigns you the research papers. Other than that he's a great professor and I'm glad I took him.

This class was so, so much work. I never expected to work hard for an A in an English class, but boy did I. I took him online -- which had its own learning curve involved -- but at the end of the day, he was friendly, informative, and consistent. Incredibly long winded though. I'm so glad this class is over.

Professor Moton is awesome. His class was always interesting and entertaining which made it easy to learn. However, he will challenge you and expect your very best on every assignment, so just work hard and you'll be fine.

This class has a big work load but it is all doable. All you have to do is keep up with the work and do all the assignments so you can get as much points as possible. Professor Moton is a great teacher and he keeps you interested.

I am in this class right now, he is hands down an awesome English teacher, he is a little arrogant at times and I don't agree at all with his political views that are present the whole semester because of the paper topics, but I am learning so much in his class. And it is a challenging class that you really have to work for your grade.

He's very helpful and insightful. My only problem this semester was that I really have no interest in corporations and politics but he makes it seem interesting so the work is manageable. I really enjoyed his class altogether!

Professor Moton is a great teacher, very clear about what's expected and definitely works with his students. He's also a really funny guy, keeps class fun and interesting. It is quite the workload but manageable.

From day one the class is relatively unclear. The syllabus is not followed very well and you can expect to have a hard time if you're not an English major. He does try to make the class more interesting with funny jokes and interesting material, but it leads to papers that just aren't satisfying to write about, not to mention they're graded hard.

Moton is great! He's super nerdy and it's wonderful. He is extremely strict on MLA format but he's helpful and friendly. I definitely recommend him. However, I don't recommend the ENGL B2 class, it was horrible.

If you're interested in actually getting something out of your time in college, take this class. Moton is an extremely intelligent, funny, and entertaining professor. You will learn a lot, but to get an A, you MUST show up to almost every single class. He's available for help, and the paper topics are extremely interesting. Highly recommended

This is hands down the best teacher I had at BC. I worked my butt off for the B I got, but I learned more in this class than all my other classes combined. Interesting, funny, and challenging.

Took him a year ago. He had us read World War Z and talked about The Walking Dead a lot, the class was very interesting. Takes time for questions, too much time, he'll stare at you until someone asks something..

He gives great feedback, (even if you don't want it). He takes the time to show you what he wants and is very concise. I enjoyed his class. Note that he will NOT coddle you, as he shouldn't because he is not a babysitter.

He's a pretty funny dude so lectures/discussions are interesting. Loooots of reading, but you know in advance so you can definitely schedule accordingly. He's a tough-ish grader, so no BS in your papers and he also leaves great comments so you can improve your writing.

5wks course. 2discussions, weekly quiz(easy). One 8-10pg essay. Its not hard if you try and stay on top of assignments and really focus on the readings. His feedback can be a little confusing, hell point out errors, but he wants you to understand your errors. We critique our rough drafts, I loved. Helps get a higher grade. Quick email response

Professor Moton is a tough grader, you need to make sure you proof-read all of your assignments and read the books and chapters he assigns to you if you want to pass his class. The research paper is a 7 page minimum, works cited page not included in the total. Get ready to read a ton!

Yes, its hard! Yes, he doesnt give the best feedback! But if you try to figure out what you did wrong on your own, you will understand better and thats what he wants. Its not a lot of reading, but its a lot of research and guess what.... that makes you a better writer. I learned so much and grew confident in my writing.. Take the challenge!

Really enjoyed this class. I got great feedback and quick responses to emails. You have to try, this is not a blow off course, nor should it be. It isn't impossible though and Professor Moton is a good instructor to get you there. He seems to care as long as you do.

I took the English B1AL and it was a lot of work. The expectations were clear on what needed to be done by when. He gave many breaks even after saying assignments were past due. As long as you read, do the assignments provided, & seek help if needed, you will be fine. He wants you to be able to be able to catch your mistakes & write a great paper.

Professor Moton was one of the more challenging professors I have ever taken. Does this necessarily make him a bad professor? not exactly. I'd say his class may teach you a thing or two. I will say I am a bit disappointed since this is the first B I've ever had in college, but it's (as said) a personal issue.

Professor Moton is great at what he does and willing to put in the effort to share his knowledge with us but you must be willing to put in the effort to learn it.

Good Professor, makes the writing assignments fun and is very clear on what he's expecting from you.

Overall a chill guy who loves movies. Took his class alongside Reggie Williams for the Futurism class, and while it was one of my most fun classes, it was by far one of my most difficult. It's very rigorous, but extremely helpful in future classes where your writing is heavily scrutinized.

Moton is quite different from Reggie. He is more laid-back and lenient in his grading (though still demanding), but his section paper topic was also a bit less interesting. I think Reggie's section was more fun, but Moton's was definitely less stressful. He's very approachable and seems to care about his students. 1pg essay every week, 6 pg final.

The class was a bit difficult in the beginning but the professor gives lots of great feed back which helps pays off in the end. There is 2 papers and he does require multiple steps for writing it but it makes the papers easier to write.

Get ready to do lots of homework.
